★マタイによる福音(21:33-43、45-46)

21:33
　もう一つの譬を聞きなさい。ある所に、ひとりの家の主人がいたが、ぶどう園を造り、かきをめぐらし、その中に酒ぶねの穴を掘り、やぐらを立て、それを農夫たちに貸して、旅に出かけた。

21:34
　収穫の季節がきたので、その分け前を受け取ろうとして、僕たちを農夫のところへ送った。

21:35
　すると、農夫たちは、その僕たちをつかまえて、ひとりを袋だたきにし、ひとりを殺し、もうひとりを石で打ち殺した。

21:36
　また別に、前よりも多くの僕たちを送ったが、彼らをも同じようにあしらった。

21:37
　しかし、最後に、わたしの子は敬ってくれるだろうと思って、主人はその子を彼らの所につかわした。

21:38
　すると農夫たちは、その子を見て互に言った、『あれはあと取りだ。さあ、これを殺して、その財産を手に入れよう』。

21:39
　そして彼をつかまえて、ぶどう園の外に引き出して殺した。

21:40
　このぶどう園の主人が帰ってきたら、この農夫たちをどうするだろうか」。

21:41
　彼らはイエスに言った、「悪人どもを、皆殺しにして、季節ごとに収穫を納めるほかの農夫たちに、そのぶどう園を貸し与えるでしょう」。

21:42
　イエスは彼らに言われた、「あなたがたは、聖書でまだ読んだことがないのか、『家造りらの捨てた石が隅のかしら石になった。これは主がなされたことで、わたしたちの目には不思議に見える』。

21:43
　それだから、あなたがたに言うが、神の国はあなたがたから取り上げられて、御国にふさわしい実を結ぶような異邦人に与えられるであろう。

21:45
　祭司長たちやパリサイ人たちがこの譬を聞いたとき、自分たちのことをさして言っておられることを悟ったので、

21:46
　イエスを捕えようとしたが、群衆を恐れた。群衆はイエスを預言者だと思っていたからである。

37:3
　ヨセフは年寄り子であったから、イスラエルは他のどの子よりも彼を愛して、彼のために長そでの着物をつくった。

37:4
　兄弟たちは父がどの兄弟よりも彼を愛するのを見て、彼を憎み、穏やかに彼に語ることができなかった。

37:12
　さて兄弟たちがシケムに行って、父の羊の群れを飼っていたとき、

37:13a
　イスラエルはヨセフに言った、「あなたの兄弟たちはシケムで羊を飼っているではないか。さあ、あなたを彼らの所へつかわそう」。

37:17b
　そこでヨセフは兄弟たちのあとを追って行って、ドタンで彼らに会った。

37:18
　ヨセフが彼らに近づかないうちに、彼らははるかにヨセフを見て、これを殺そうと計り、

37:19
　互に言った、「あの夢見る者がやって来る。

37:20
　さあ、彼を殺して穴に投げ入れ、悪い獣が彼を食ったと言おう。そして彼の夢がどうなるか見よう」。

37:21
　ルベンはこれを聞いて、ヨセフを彼らの手から救い出そうとして言った、「われわれは彼の命を取ってはならない」。

37:22
　ルベンはまた彼らに言った、「血を流してはいけない。彼を荒野のこの穴に投げ入れよう。彼に手をくだしてはならない」。これはヨセフを彼らの手から救いだして父に返すためであった。

37:23
　さて、ヨセフが兄弟たちのもとへ行くと、彼らはヨセフの着物、彼が着ていた長そでの着物をはぎとり、

37:24
　彼を捕えて穴に投げ入れた。その穴はからで、その中に水はなかった。

37:25
　こうして彼らはすわってパンを食べた。時に彼らが目をあげて見ると、イシマエルびとの隊商が、らくだに香料と、乳香と、もつやくとを負わせてエジプトへ下り行こうとギレアデからやってきた。

37:26
　そこでユダは兄弟たちに言った、「われわれが弟を殺し、その血を隠して何の益があろう。

37:27
　さあ、われわれは彼をイシマエルびとに売ろう。彼はわれわれの兄弟、われわれの肉身だから、彼に手を下してはならない」。兄弟たちはこれを聞き入れた。

37:28
　時にミデアンびとの商人たちが通りかかったので、彼らはヨセフを穴から引き上げ、銀二十シケルでヨセフをイシマエルびとに売った。彼らはヨセフをエジプトへ連れて行った。


★Psalm:詩編(105:16-21)

105:16
　主はききんを地に招き、人のつえとするパンをことごとく砕かれた。

105:17
　また彼らの前にひとりをつかわされた。すなわち売られて奴隷となったヨセフである。

105:18
　彼の足は足かせをもって痛められ、彼の首は鉄の首輪にはめられ、

105:19
　彼の言葉の成る時まで、主のみ言葉が彼を試みた。

105:20
　王は人をつかわして彼を解き放ち、民のつかさは彼に自由を与えた。

　王はその家のつかさとしてその所有をことごとくつかさどらせた。


◆今日の読書：出エジプト記(19:1-19、20:18-21)

19:1
　イスラエルの人々は、エジプトの地を出て後三月目のその日に、シナイの荒野にはいった。

19:2
　すなわち彼らはレピデムを出立してシナイの荒野に入り、荒野に宿営した。イスラエルはその所で山の前に宿営した。

19:3
　さて、モーセが神のもとに登ると、主は山から彼を呼んで言われた、「このように、ヤコブの家に言い、イスラエルの人々に告げなさい、

19:4
　『あなたがたは、わたしがエジプトびとにした事と、あなたがたを鷲の翼に載せてわたしの所にこさせたことを見た。

19:5
　それで、もしあなたがたが、まことにわたしの声に聞き従い、わたしの契約を守るならば、あなたがたはすべての民にまさって、わたしの宝となるであろう。全地はわたしの所有だからである。

19:6
　あなたがたはわたしに対して祭司の国となり、また聖なる民となるであろう』。これがあなたのイスラエルの人々に語るべき言葉である」。

19:7
　それでモーセは行って民の長老たちを呼び、主が命じられたこれらの言葉を、すべてその前に述べたので、

19:8
　民はみな共に答えて言った、「われわれは主が言われたことを、みな行います」。モーセは民の言葉を主に告げた。

19:9
　主はモーセに言われた、「見よ、わたしは濃い雲のうちにあって、あなたに臨むであろう。それはわたしがあなたと語るのを民に聞かせて、彼らに長くあなたを信じさせるためである」。モーセは民の言葉を主に告げた。

19:10
　主はモーセに言われた、「あなたは民のところに行って、きょうとあす、彼らをきよめ、彼らにその衣服を洗わせ、

19:11
　三日目までに備えさせなさい。三日目に主が、すべての民の目の前で、シナイ山に下るからである。

19:12
　あなたは民のために、周囲に境を設けて言いなさい、『あなたがたは注意して、山に上らず、また、その境界に触れないようにしなさい。山に触れる者は必ず殺されるであろう。

19:13
　手をそれに触れてはならない。触れる者は必ず石で打ち殺されるか、射殺されるであろう。獣でも人でも生きることはできない』。ラッパが長く響いた時、彼らは山に登ることができる」と。

19:14
　そこでモーセは山から民のところに下り、民をきよめた。彼らはその衣服を洗った。

19:15
　モーセは民に言った、「三日目までに備えをしなさい。女に近づいてはならない」。

19:16
　三日目の朝となって、かみなりと、いなずまと厚い雲とが、山の上にあり、ラッパの音が、はなはだ高く響いたので、宿営におる民はみな震えた。

19:17
　モーセが民を神に会わせるために、宿営から導き出したので、彼らは山のふもとに立った。

19:18
　シナイ山は全山煙った。主が火のなかにあって、その上に下られたからである。その煙は、かまどの煙のように立ち上り、全山はげしく震えた。

19:19
　ラッパの音が、いよいよ高くなったとき、モーセは語り、神は、かみなりをもって、彼に答えられた。

20:18
　民は皆、かみなりと、いなずまと、ラッパの音と、山の煙っているのとを見た。民は恐れおののき、遠く離れて立った。

20:19
　彼らはモーセに言った、「あなたがわたしたちに語ってください。わたしたちは聞き従います。神がわたしたちに語られぬようにしてください。それでなければ、わたしたちは死ぬでしょう」。

20:20
　モーセは民に言った、「恐れてはならない。神はあなたがたを試みるため、またその恐れをあなたがたの目の前において、あなたがたが罪を犯さないようにするために臨まれたのである」。

20:21
　そこで、民は遠く離れて立ったが、モーセは神のおられる濃い雲に近づいて行った。

+ First Reading: Genesis 37:3-4, 12-13a, 17b-28

3 Now Israel loved Joseph more than all his children, because he was the son of his old age, and he made him a coat of many colors.

4 His brothers saw that their father loved him more than all his brothers, and they hated him, and couldn’t speak peaceably to him.

12 His brothers went to feed their father’s flock in Shechem.

13a Israel said to Joseph, “Aren’t your brothers feeding the flock in Shechem? Come, and I will send you to them.”

17b Joseph went after his brothers, and found them in Dothan.

18 They saw him afar off, and before he came near to them, they conspired against him to kill him.

19 They said to one another, “Behold, this dreamer comes.

20 Come now therefore, and let’s kill him, and cast him into one of the pits, and we will say, ‘An evil animal has devoured him.’ We will see what will become of his dreams.”

21 Reuben heard it, and delivered him out of their hand, and said, “Let’s not take his life.”

22 Reuben said to them, “Shed no blood. Throw him into this pit that is in the wilderness, but lay no hand on him”―that he might deliver him out of their hand, to restore him to his father.

23 When Joseph came to his brothers, they stripped Joseph of his coat, the coat of many colors that was on him;

24 and they took him, and threw him into the pit. The pit was empty. There was no water in it.

25 They sat down to eat bread, and they lifted up their eyes and looked, and saw a caravan of Ishmaelites was coming from Gilead, with their camels bearing spices and balm and myrrh, going to carry it down to Egypt.

26 Judah said to his brothers, “What profit is it if we kill our brother and conceal his blood?

27 Come, and let’s sell him to the Ishmaelites, and not let our hand be on him; for he is our brother, our flesh.” His brothers listened to him.

28 Midianites who were merchants passed by, and they drew and lifted up Joseph out of the pit, and sold Joseph to the Ishmaelites for twenty pieces of silver. They brought Joseph into Egypt.

33 “Hear another parable. There was a man who was a master of a household, who planted a vineyard, set a hedge about it, dug a wine press in it, built a tower, leased it out to farmers, and went into another country.

34 When the season for the fruit drew near, he sent his servants to the farmers, to receive his fruit.

35 The farmers took his servants, beat one, killed another, and stoned another.

36 Again, he sent other servants more than the first: and they treated them the same way.

37 But afterward he sent to them his son, saying, ‘They will respect my son.’

38 But the farmers, when they saw the son, said among themselves, ‘This is the heir. Come, let’s kill him, and seize his inheritance.’

39 So they took him, and threw him out of the vineyard, and killed him.

40 When therefore the lord of the vineyard comes, what will he do to those farmers?”

41 They told him, “He will miserably destroy those miserable men, and will lease out the vineyard to other farmers, who will give him the fruit in its season.”

42 Jesus said to them, “Did you never read in the Scriptures,
‘The stone which the builders rejected,
the same was made the head of the corner.
This was from the Lord.
It is marvelous in our eyes?’☆

43 “Therefore I tell you, the Kingdom of God will be taken away from you, and will be given to a nation producing its fruit.

45 When the chief priests and the Pharisees heard his parables, they perceived that he spoke about them.

46 When they sought to seize him, they feared the multitudes, because they considered him to be a prophet.

19:1 In the third month after the children of Israel had gone out of the land of Egypt, on that same day they came into the wilderness of Sinai.

2 When they had departed from Rephidim, and had come to the wilderness of Sinai, they encamped in the wilderness; and there Israel encamped before the mountain.

3 Moses went up to God, and Yahweh called to him out of the mountain, saying, “This is what you shall tell the house of Jacob, and tell the children of Israel:

4 ‘You have seen what I did to the Egyptians, and how I bore you on eagles’ wings, and brought you to myself.

5 Now therefore, if you will indeed obey my voice, and keep my covenant, then you shall be my own possession from among all peoples; for all the earth is mine;

6 and you shall be to me a kingdom of priests, and a holy nation.’ These are the words which you shall speak to the children of Israel.”

7 Moses came and called for the elders of the people, and set before them all these words which Yahweh commanded him.

8 All the people answered together, and said, “All that Yahweh has spoken we will do.”
Moses reported the words of the people to Yahweh.

9 Yahweh said to Moses, “Behold, I come to you in a thick cloud, that the people may hear when I speak with you, and may also believe you forever.” Moses told the words of the people to Yahweh.

10 Yahweh said to Moses, “Go to the people, and sanctify them today and tomorrow, and let them wash their garments,

11 and be ready against the third day; for on the third day Yahweh will come down in the sight of all the people on Mount Sinai.

12 You shall set bounds to the people all around, saying, ‘Be careful that you don’t go up onto the mountain, or touch its border. Whoever touches the mountain shall be surely put to death.

13 No hand shall touch him, but he shall surely be stoned or shot through; whether it is animal or man, he shall not live.’ When the trumpet sounds long, they shall come up to the mountain.”

14 Moses went down from the mountain to the people, and sanctified the people; and they washed their clothes.

15 He said to the people, “Be ready by the third day. Don’t have sexual relations with a woman.”

16 On the third day, when it was morning, there were thunders and lightnings, and a thick cloud on the mountain, and the sound of an exceedingly loud trumpet; and all the people who were in the camp trembled.

17 Moses led the people out of the camp to meet God; and they stood at the lower part of the mountain.

18 Mount Sinai, all it, smoked, because Yahweh descended on it in fire; and its smoke ascended like the smoke of a furnace, and the whole mountain quaked greatly.

19 When the sound of the trumpet grew louder and louder, Moses spoke, and God answered him by a voice.

20:18 All the people perceived the thunderings, the lightnings, the sound of the trumpet, and the mountain smoking. When the people saw it, they trembled, and stayed at a distance.

19 They said to Moses, “Speak with us yourself, and we will listen; but don’t let God speak with us, lest we die.”

20 Moses said to the people, “Don’t be afraid, for God has come to test you, and that his fear may be before you, that you won’t sin.” 21 The people stayed at a distance, and Moses drew near to the thick darkness where God was.
