★ヨハネによる福音(2:13-25)

2:13
　さて、ユダヤ人の過越の祭が近づいたので、イエスはエルサレムに上られた。

2:14
　そして牛、羊、はとを売る者や両替する者などが宮の庭にすわり込んでいるのをごらんになって、

2:15
　なわでむちを造り、羊も牛もみな宮から追いだし、両替人の金を散らし、その台をひっくりかえし、

2:16
　はとを売る人々には「これらのものを持って、ここから出て行け。わたしの父の家を商売の家とするな」と言われた。

2:17
　弟子たちは、「あなたの家を思う熱心が、わたしを食いつくすであろう」と書いてあることを思い出した。

2:18
　そこで、ユダヤ人はイエスに言った、「こんなことをするからには、どんなしるしをわたしたちに見せてくれますか」。

2:19
　イエスは彼らに答えて言われた、「この神殿をこわしたら、わたしは三日のうちに、それを起すであろう」。

2:20
　そこで、ユダヤ人たちは言った、「この神殿を建てるのには、四十六年もかかっています。それだのに、あなたは三日のうちに、それを建てるのですか」。

2:21
　イエスは自分のからだである神殿のことを言われたのである。

2:22
　それで、イエスが死人の中からよみがえったとき、弟子たちはイエスがこう言われたことを思い出して、聖書とイエスのこの言葉とを信じた。

2:23
　過越の祭の間、イエスがエルサレムに滞在しておられたとき、多くの人々は、その行われたしるしを見て、イエスの名を信じた。

2:24
　しかしイエスご自身は、彼らに自分をお任せにならなかった。それは、すべての人を知っておられ、

2:25
　また人についてあかしする者を、必要とされなかったからである。それは、ご自身人の心の中にあることを知っておられたからである。


★出エジプト記(20:1-17)

20:1
　神はこのすべての言葉を語って言われた。

20:2
　「わたしはあなたの神、主であって、あなたをエジプトの地、奴隷の家から導き出した者である。

20:3
　あなたはわたしのほかに、なにものをも神としてはならない。

20:4
　あなたは自分のために、刻んだ像を造ってはならない。上は天にあるもの、下は地にあるもの、また地の下の水のなかにあるものの、どんな形をも造ってはならない。

20:5
　それにひれ伏してはならない。それに仕えてはならない。あなたの神、主であるわたしは、ねたむ神であるから、わたしを憎むものは、父の罪を子に報いて、三、四代に及ぼし、

20:6
　わたしを愛し、わたしの戒めを守るものには、恵みを施して、千代に至るであろう。

20:7
　あなたは、あなたの神、主の名を、みだりに唱えてはならない。主は、み名をみだりに唱えるものを、罰しないでは置かないであろう。

20:8
　安息日を覚えて、これを聖とせよ。

20:9
　六日のあいだ働いてあなたのすべてのわざをせよ。

20:10
　七日目はあなたの神、主の安息であるから、なんのわざをもしてはならない。あなたもあなたのむすこ、娘、しもべ、はしため、家畜、またあなたの門のうちにいる他国の人もそうである。

20:11
　主は六日のうちに、天と地と海と、その中のすべてのものを造って、七日目に休まれたからである。それで主は安息日を祝福して聖とされた。

20:12
　あなたの父と母を敬え。これは、あなたの神、主が賜わる地で、あなたが長く生きるためである。

20:13
　あなたは殺してはならない。

20:14
　あなたは姦淫してはならない。

20:15
　あなたは盗んではならない。

20:16
　あなたは隣人について、偽証してはならない。

20:17
　あなたは隣人の家をむさぼってはならない。隣人の妻、しもべ、はしため、牛、ろば、またすべて隣人のものをむさぼってはならない」。


★Psalm:詩篇(19:7-10)

19:7
　主のおきては完全であって、魂を生きかえらせ、主のあかしは確かであって、無学な者を賢くする。

19:8
　主のさとしは正しくて、心を喜ばせ、主の戒めはまじりなくて、眼を明らかにする。

19:9
　主を恐れる道は清らかで、とこしえに絶えることがなく、主のさばきは真実であって、ことごとく正しい。

19:10
　これらは金よりも、多くの純金よりも慕わしく、また蜜よりも、蜂の巣のしたたりよりも甘い。


★コリント人への第一の手紙(1:22-25)

1:22
　ユダヤ人はしるしを請い、ギリシヤ人は知恵を求める。

1:23
　しかしわたしたちは、十字架につけられたキリストを宣べ伝える。このキリストは、ユダヤ人にはつまずかせるもの、異邦人には愚かなものであるが、

1:24
　召された者自身にとっては、ユダヤ人にもギリシヤ人にも、神の力、神の知恵たるキリストなのである。

1:25
　神の愚かさは人よりも賢く、神の弱さは人よりも強いからである。

22:20
　主のほか、他の神々に犠牲をささげる者は、断ち滅ぼされなければならない。

22:21
　あなたは寄留の他国人を苦しめてはならない。また、これをしえたげてはならない。あなたがたも、かつてエジプトの国で、寄留の他国人であったからである。

22:22
　あなたがたはすべて寡婦、または孤児を悩ましてはならない。

22:23
　もしあなたが彼らを悩まして、彼らがわたしにむかって叫ぶならば、わたしは必ずその叫びを聞くであろう。

22:24
　そしてわたしの怒りは燃えたち、つるぎをもってあなたがたを殺すであろう。あなたがたの妻は寡婦となり、あなたがたの子供たちは孤児となるであろう。

22:25
　あなたが、共におるわたしの民の貧しい者に金を貸す時は、これに対して金貸しのようになってはならない。これから利子を取ってはならない。

22:26
　もし隣人の上着を質に取るならば、日の入るまでにそれを返さなければならない。

22:27
　これは彼の身をおおう、ただ一つの物、彼の膚のための着物だからである。彼は何を着て寝ることができよう。彼がわたしにむかって叫ぶならば、わたしはこれに聞くであろう。わたしはあわれみ深いからである。

22:28
　あなたは神をののしってはならない。また民の司をのろってはならない。

22:29
　あなたの豊かな穀物と、あふれる酒とをささげるに、ためらってはならない。あなたのういごを、わたしにささげなければならない。

22:30
　あなたはまた、あなたの牛と羊をも同様にしなければならない。七日の間その母と共に置いて、八日目にそれをわたしに、ささげなければならない。

22:31
　あなたがたは、わたしに対して聖なる民とならなければならない。あなたがたは、野で裂き殺されたものの肉を食べてはならない。それは犬に投げ与えなければならない。

23:1
　あなたは偽りのうわさを言いふらしてはならない。あなたは悪人と手を携えて、悪意のある証人になってはならない。

23:2
　あなたは多数に従って悪をおこなってはならない。あなたは訴訟において、多数に従って片寄り、正義を曲げるような証言をしてはならない。

23:3
　また貧しい人をその訴訟において、曲げてかばってはならない。

23:4
　もし、あなたが敵の牛または、ろばの迷っているのに会う時は、必ずこれを彼の所に連れて行って、帰さなければならない。

23:5
　もしあなたを憎む者のろばが、その荷物の下に倒れ伏しているのを見る時は、これを見捨てて置かないように気をつけ、必ずその人に手を貸して、これを起さなければならない。

23:6
　あなたは貧しい者の訴訟において、裁判を曲げてはならない。

23:7
　あなたは偽り事に遠ざからなければならない。あなたは罪のない者と正しい者とを殺してはならない。わたしは悪人を義とすることはないからである。

23:8
　あなたは賄賂を取ってはならない。賄賂は人の目をくらまし、正しい者の事件をも曲げさせるからである。

23:9
　あなたは寄留の他国人をしえたげてはならない。あなたがたはエジプトの国で寄留の他国人であったので、寄留の他国人の心を知っているからである。

+ First Reading: Exodus 20:1-17

1 God* spoke all these words, saying,

2 “I am Yahweh your God, who brought you out of the land of Egypt, out of the house of bondage.

3 “You shall have no other gods before me.

4 “You shall not make for yourselves an idol, nor any image of anything that is in the heavens above, or that is in the earth beneath, or that is in the water under the earth:

5 you shall not bow yourself down to them, nor serve them, for I, Yahweh your God, am a jealous God, visiting the iniquity of the fathers on the children, on the third and on the fourth generation of those who hate me,

6 and showing loving kindness to thousands of those who love me and keep my commandments.

7 “You shall not take the name of Yahweh your God in vain, for Yahweh will not hold him guiltless who takes his name in vain.

8 “Remember the Sabbath day, to keep it holy.

9 You shall labor six days, and do all your work,

10 but the seventh day is a Sabbath to Yahweh your God. You shall not do any work in it, you, nor your son, nor your daughter, your male servant, nor your female servant, nor your livestock, nor your stranger who is within your gates;

11 for in six days Yahweh made heaven and earth, the sea, and all that is in them, and rested the seventh day; therefore Yahweh blessed the Sabbath day, and made it holy.

12 “Honor your father and your mother, that your days may be long in the land which Yahweh your God gives you.

13 “You shall not murder.

14 “You shall not commit adultery.

15 “You shall not steal.

16 “You shall not give false testimony against your neighbor.

17 “You shall not covet your neighbor’s house. You shall not covet your neighbor’s wife, nor his male servant, nor his female servant, nor his ox, nor his donkey, nor anything that is your neighbor’s.”

*20:1: After “God,” the Hebrew has the two letters “Aleph Tav” (the first and last letters of the Hebrew alphabet), not as a word, but as a grammatical marker.

7 Yahweh’s law is perfect, restoring the soul.
Yahweh’s testimony is sure, making wise the simple.

9 The fear of Yahweh is clean, enduring forever.
Yahweh’s ordinances are true, and righteous altogether.

22 For Jews ask for signs, Greeks seek after wisdom,

23 but we preach Christ crucified; a stumbling block to Jews, and foolishness to Greeks,

25 Because the foolishness of God is wiser than men, and the weakness of God is stronger than men.

13 The Passover of the Jews was at hand, and Jesus went up to Jerusalem.

14 He found in the temple those who sold oxen, sheep, and doves, and the changers of money sitting.

15 He made a whip of cords, and threw all out of the temple, both the sheep and the oxen; and he poured out the changers’ money, and overthrew their tables.

16 To those who sold the doves, he said, “Take these things out of here! Don’t make my Father’s house a marketplace!”

17 His disciples remembered that it was written, “Zeal for your house will eat me up.”†

18 The Jews therefore answered him, “What sign do you show us, seeing that you do these things?”

19 Jesus answered them, “Destroy this temple, and in three days I will raise it up.”

20 The Jews therefore said, “It took forty-six years to build this temple! Will you raise it up in three days?”

21 But he spoke of the temple of his body.

22 When therefore he was raised from the dead, his disciples remembered that he said this, and they believed the Scripture, and the word which Jesus had said.

23 Now when he was in Jerusalem at the Passover, during the feast, many believed in his name, observing his signs which he did.

24 But Jesus didn’t trust himself to them, because he knew everyone,

25 and because he didn’t need for anyone to testify concerning man; for he himself knew what was in man.

22:20 “He who sacrifices to any god, except to Yahweh only, shall be utterly destroyed.

21 “You shall not wrong an alien, neither shall you oppress him, for you were aliens in the land of Egypt.

22 “You shall not take advantage of any widow or fatherless child.

23 If you take advantage of them at all, and they cry at all to me, I will surely hear their cry;

24 and my wrath will grow hot, and I will kill you with the sword; and your wives shall be widows, and your children fatherless.

25 “If you lend money to any of my people with you who is poor, you shall not be to him as a creditor; neither shall you charge him interest.

26 If you take your neighbor’s garment as collateral, you shall restore it to him before the sun goes down,

27 for that is his only covering, it is his garment for his skin. What would he sleep in? It will happen, when he cries to me, that I will hear, for I am gracious.

28 “You shall not blaspheme God, nor curse a ruler of your people.

29 “You shall not delay to offer from your harvest and from the outflow of your presses.
“You shall give the firstborn of your sons to me.

30 You shall do likewise with your cattle and with your sheep. Seven days it shall be with its mother, then on the eighth day you shall give it to me.

31 “You shall be holy men to me, therefore you shall not eat any flesh that is torn by animals in the field. You shall cast it to the dogs.

23:1 “You shall not spread a false report. Don’t join your hand with the wicked to be a malicious witness.

2 “You shall not follow a crowd to do evil; neither shall you testify in court to side with a multitude to pervert justice; 3 neither shall you favor a poor man in his cause.

4 “If you meet your enemy’s ox or his donkey going astray, you shall surely bring it back to him again. 5 If you see the donkey of him who hates you fallen down under his burden, don’t leave him, you shall surely help him with it.

6 “You shall not deny justice to your poor people in their lawsuits.

7 “Keep far from a false charge, and don’t kill the innocent and righteous: for I will not justify the wicked.

8 “You shall take no bribe, for a bribe blinds those who have sight and perverts the words of the righteous.

9 “You shall not oppress an alien, for you know the heart of an alien, since you were aliens in the land of Egypt.
