★マタイによる福音(18:21-35)

18:21
　そのとき、ペテロがイエスのもとにきて言った、「主よ、兄弟がわたしに対して罪を犯した場合、幾たびゆるさねばなりませんか。七たびまでですか」。

18:22
　イエスは彼に言われた、「わたしは七たびまでとは言わない。七たびを七十倍するまでにしなさい。

18:23
　それだから、天国は王が僕たちと決算をするようなものだ。

18:24
　決算が始まると、一万タラントの負債のある者が、王のところに連れられてきた。

18:25
　しかし、返せなかったので、主人は、その人自身とその妻子と持ち物全部とを売って返すように命じた。

18:26
　そこで、この僕はひれ伏して哀願した、『どうぞお待ちください。全部お返しいたしますから』。

18:27
　僕の主人はあわれに思って、彼をゆるし、その負債を免じてやった。

18:28
　その僕が出て行くと、百デナリを貸しているひとりの仲間に出会い、彼をつかまえ、首をしめて『借金を返せ』と言った。

18:29
　そこでこの仲間はひれ伏し、『どうか待ってくれ。返すから』と言って頼んだ。

18:30
　しかし承知せずに、その人をひっぱって行って、借金を返すまで獄に入れた。

18:31
　その人の仲間たちは、この様子を見て、非常に心をいため、行ってそのことをのこらず主人に話した。

18:32
　そこでこの主人は彼を呼びつけて言った、『悪い僕、わたしに願ったからこそ、あの負債を全部ゆるしてやったのだ。

18:33
　わたしがあわれんでやったように、あの仲間をあわれんでやるべきではなかったか』。

18:34
　そして主人は立腹して、負債全部を返してしまうまで、彼を獄吏に引きわたした。

18:35
　あなたがためいめいも、もし心から兄弟をゆるさないならば、わたしの天の父もまたあなたがたに対して、そのようになさるであろう」。

　アザルヤは立ち止まり、火の中で、口を開いて次のように祈った。

11節
　あなたの御名のゆえに／我らを決して見捨てることなく、／あなたの契約を取り消さないでください。

12節
　あなたの愛されたアブラハムと／あなたの僕イサクと／あなたの聖なるイスラエルとに免じて、／あなたの憐れみを／我らから取り去らないでください。

13節
　あなたはこの先祖たちに、／子孫を天の星のように、／海辺の砂のように増やす、と言われました。

14節
　ところが、主よ、／我らはどの民よりも少なくなり、／我らの罪のゆえに、今日、全地で／卑しめられています。

15節
　今や、高官も預言者も指導者もなく、／焼き尽くす献げ物もいけにえも／供え物も香もなく、／憐れみを得るために／献げ物を御前に供える所もありません。

16節
　ただ、砕かれた魂とへりくだる心をもつ我らを／受け入れてください。

17節
　焼き尽くす献げ物の羊と牛のように、／幾万の肥えた小羊のように、／今日の我らのいけにえが、／御前に受け入れられますように。あなたに従う我らの歩みを全うさせてください。あなたに信頼する者は辱められないからです。

18節
　今や、我々は心からあなたに従い、／あなたを畏れ、御顔を求めます。

19節
　我らを辱めず、／むしろ、寛容と豊かな憐れみをもって／我らに臨んでください。

20節
　驚くべき御業をもって、我らを救い、／主よ、御名の栄光を輝かせてください。

25:4
　主よ、あなたの大路をわたしに知らせ、あなたの道をわたしに教えてください。

25:5ab
　あなたのまことをもって、わたしを導き、わたしを教えてください。あなたはわが救の神です。

25:6
　主よ、あなたのあわれみと、いつくしみとを思い出してください。これはいにしえから絶えることがなかったのです。

25:7bc
　主よ、あなたの恵みのゆえに、あなたのいつくしみにしたがって、わたしを思い出してください。

25:8
　主は恵みふかく、かつ正しくいらせられる。それゆえ、主は道を罪びとに教え、

　へりくだる者を公義に導き、へりくだる者にその道を教えられる。


◆今日の読書：出エジプト記(32:1-20)

32:1
　民はモーセが山を下ることのおそいのを見て、アロンのもとに集まって彼に言った、「さあ、わたしたちに先立って行く神を、わたしたちのために造ってください。わたしたちをエジプトの国から導きのぼった人、あのモーセはどうなったのかわからないからです」。

32:2
　アロンは彼らに言った、「あなたがたの妻、むすこ、娘らの金の耳輪をはずしてわたしに持ってきなさい」。

32:3
　そこで民は皆その金の耳輪をはずしてアロンのもとに持ってきた。

32:4
　アロンがこれを彼らの手から受け取り、工具で型を造り、鋳て子牛としたので、彼らは言った、「イスラエルよ、これはあなたをエジプトの国から導きのぼったあなたの神である」。

32:5
　アロンはこれを見て、その前に祭壇を築いた。そしてアロンは布告して言った、「あすは主の祭である」。

32:6
　そこで人々はあくる朝早く起きて燔祭をささげ、酬恩祭を供えた。民は座して食い飲みし、立って戯れた。

32:7
　主はモーセに言われた、「急いで下りなさい。あなたがエジプトの国から導きのぼったあなたの民は悪いことをした。

32:8
　彼らは早くもわたしが命じた道を離れ、自分のために鋳物の子牛を造り、これを拝み、これに犠牲をささげて、『イスラエルよ、これはあなたをエジプトの国から導きのぼったあなたの神である』と言っている」。

32:9
　主はまたモーセに言われた、「わたしはこの民を見た。これはかたくなな民である。

32:10
　それで、わたしをとめるな。わたしの怒りは彼らにむかって燃え、彼らを滅ぼしつくすであろう。しかし、わたしはあなたを大いなる国民とするであろう」。

32:11
　モーセはその神、主をなだめて言った、「主よ、大いなる力と強き手をもって、エジプトの国から導き出されたあなたの民にむかって、なぜあなたの怒りが燃えるのでしょうか。

32:12
　どうしてエジプトびとに『彼は悪意をもって彼らを導き出し、彼らを山地で殺し、地の面から断ち滅ぼすのだ』と言わせてよいでしょうか。どうかあなたの激しい怒りをやめ、あなたの民に下そうとされるこの災を思い直し、

32:13
　あなたのしもべアブラハム、イサク、イスラエルに、あなたが御自身をさして誓い、『わたしは天の星のように、あなたがたの子孫を増し、わたしが約束したこの地を皆あなたがたの子孫に与えて、長くこれを所有させるであろう』と彼らに仰せられたことを覚えてください」。

32:14
　それで、主はその民に下すと言われた災について思い直された。

32:15
　モーセは身を転じて山を下った。彼の手には、かの二枚のあかしの板があった。板はその両面に文字があった。すなわち、この面にも、かの面にも文字があった。

32:16
　その板は神の作、その文字は神の文字であって、板に彫ったものである。

32:17
　ヨシュアは民の呼ばわる声を聞いて、モーセに言った、「宿営の中に戦いの声がします」。

32:18
　しかし、モーセは言った、「勝どきの声でなく、敗北の叫び声でもない。わたしの聞くのは歌の声である」。

32:19
　モーセが宿営に近づくと、子牛と踊りとを見たので、彼は怒りに燃え、手からかの板を投げうち、これを山のふもとで砕いた。

32:20
　また彼らが造った子牛を取って火に焼き、こなごなに砕き、これを水の上にまいて、イスラエルの人々に飲ませた。

21 Then Peter came and said to him, “Lord, how often shall my brother sin against me, and I forgive him? Until seven times?”

22 Jesus said to him, “I don’t tell you until seven times, but, until seventy times seven.

23 Therefore the Kingdom of Heaven is like a certain king, who wanted to reconcile accounts with his servants.

24 When he had begun to reconcile, one was brought to him who owed him ten thousand talents.‡Ten thousand talents represents an extremely large sum of money, equivalent to about 60,000,000 denarii, where one denarius was typical of one day’s wages for agricultural labor.

25 But because he couldn’t pay, his lord commanded him to be sold, with his wife, his children, and all that he had, and payment to be made.

26 The servant therefore fell down and kneeled before him, saying, ‘Lord, have patience with me, and I will repay you all!’

27 The lord of that servant, being moved with compassion, released him, and forgave him the debt.

28 “But that servant went out, and found one of his fellow servants, who owed him one hundred denarii,§100 denarii was about one sixtieth of a talent.and he grabbed him, and took him by the throat, saying, ‘Pay me what you owe!’

29 “So his fellow servant fell down at his feet and begged him, saying, ‘Have patience with me, and I will repay you!’

30 He would not, but went and cast him into prison, until he should pay back that which was due.

31 So when his fellow servants saw what was done, they were exceedingly sorry, and came and told to their lord all that was done.

32 Then his lord called him in, and said to him, ‘You wicked servant! I forgave you all that debt, because you begged me.

33 Shouldn’t you also have had mercy on your fellow servant, even as I had mercy on you?’

34 His lord was angry, and delivered him to the tormentors, until he should pay all that was due to him.

35 So my heavenly Father will also do to you, if you don’t each forgive your brother from your hearts for his misdeeds.”

‡18:24: Ten thousand talents represents an extremely large sum of money, equivalent to about 60,000,000 denarii, where one denarius was typical of one day’s wages for agricultural labor.

§18:28: 100 denarii was about one sixtieth of a talent.

1 When the people saw that Moses delayed to come down from the mountain, the people gathered themselves together to Aaron, and said to him, “Come, make us gods, which shall go before us; for as for this Moses, the man who brought us up out of the land of Egypt, we don’t know what has become of him.”

2 Aaron said to them, “Take off the golden rings, which are in the ears of your wives, of your sons, and of your daughters, and bring them to me.”

3 All the people took off the golden rings which were in their ears, and brought them to Aaron.

4 He received what they handed him, and fashioned it with an engraving tool, and made it a molten calf; and they said, “These are your gods, Israel, which brought you up out of the land of Egypt.”

5 When Aaron saw this, he built an altar before it; and Aaron made a proclamation, and said, “Tomorrow shall be a feast to Yahweh.”

6 They rose up early on the next day, and offered burnt offerings, and brought peace offerings; and the people sat down to eat and to drink, and rose up to play.

7 Yahweh spoke to Moses, “Go, get down; for your people, who you brought up out of the land of Egypt, have corrupted themselves!

8 They have turned aside quickly out of the way which I commanded them. They have made themselves a molten calf, and have worshiped it, and have sacrificed to it, and said, ‘These are your gods, Israel, which brought you up out of the land of Egypt.’”

9 Yahweh said to Moses, “I have seen these people, and behold, they are a stiff-necked people.

10 Now therefore leave me alone, that my wrath may burn hot against them, and that I may consume them; and I will make of you a great nation.”

11 Moses begged Yahweh his God, and said, “Yahweh, why does your wrath burn hot against your people, that you have brought out of the land of Egypt with great power and with a mighty hand?

12 Why should the Egyptians speak, saying, ‘He brought them forth for evil, to kill them in the mountains, and to consume them from the surface of the earth?’ Turn from your fierce wrath, and repent of this evil against your people.

13 Remember Abraham, Isaac, and Israel, your servants, to whom you swore by your own self, and said to them, ‘I will multiply your seed as the stars of the sky, and all this land that I have spoken of I will give to your seed, and they shall inherit it forever.’”

14 Yahweh repented of the evil which he said he would do to his people.

15 Moses turned, and went down from the mountain, with the two tablets of the testimony in his hand; tablets that were written on both their sides; on the one side and on the other they were written.

16 The tablets were the work of God, and the writing was the writing of God, engraved on the tables.

17 When Joshua heard the noise of the people as they shouted, he said to Moses, “There is the noise of war in the camp.”

18 He said, “It isn’t the voice of those who shout for victory, neither is it the voice of those who cry for being overcome; but the noise of those who sing that I hear.”

19 It happened, as soon as he came near to the camp, that he saw the calf and the dancing: and Moses’ anger grew hot, and he threw the tablets out of his hands, and broke them beneath the mountain.

20 He took the calf which they had made, and burnt it with fire, ground it to powder, and scattered it on the water, and made the children of Israel drink of it.
