★ルカによる福音(11:14-23)

11:14
　さて、イエスが悪霊を追い出しておられた。それは、おしの霊であった。悪霊が出て行くと、おしが物を言うようになったので、群衆は不思議に思った。

11:15
　その中のある人々が、「彼は悪霊のかしらベルゼブルによって、悪霊どもを追い出しているのだ」と言い、

11:16
　またほかの人々は、イエスを試みようとして、天からのしるしを求めた。

11:17
　しかしイエスは、彼らの思いを見抜いて言われた、「おおよそ国が内部で分裂すれば自滅してしまい、また家が分れ争えば倒れてしまう。

11:18
　そこでサタンも内部で分裂すれば、その国はどうして立ち行けよう。あなたがたはわたしがベルゼブルによって悪霊を追い出していると言うが、

11:19
　もしわたしがベルゼブルによって悪霊を追い出すとすれば、あなたがたの仲間はだれによって追い出すのであろうか。だから、彼らがあなたがたをさばく者となるであろう。

11:20
　しかし、わたしが神の指によって悪霊を追い出しているのなら、神の国はすでにあなたがたのところにきたのである。

11:21
　強い人が十分に武装して自分の邸宅を守っている限り、その持ち物は安全である。

11:22
　しかし、もっと強い者が襲ってきて彼に打ち勝てば、その頼みにしていた武具を奪って、その分捕品を分けるのである。

11:23
　わたしの味方でない者は、わたしに反対するものであり、わたしと共に集めない者は、散らすものである。

★エレミヤ書(7:23-28)

7:23
　ただわたしはこの戒めを彼らに与えて言った、『わたしの声に聞きしたがいなさい。そうすれば、わたしはあなたがたの神となり、あなたがたはわたしの民となる。わたしがあなたがたに命じるすべての道を歩んで幸を得なさい』と。

7:24
　しかし彼らは聞き従わず、耳を傾けず、自分の悪い心の計りごとと強情にしたがって歩み、悪くなるばかりで、よくはならなかった。

7:25
　あなたがたの先祖がエジプトの地を出た日から今日まで、わたしはわたしのしもべである預言者たちを日々彼らにつかわした。

7:26
　しかし彼らはわたしに聞かず、耳を傾けないで強情になり、先祖たちにもまさって悪を行った。

7:27
　たといあなたが彼らにこのすべての言葉を語っても彼らは聞かない。また彼らを呼んでもあなたに答えない。

7:28
　それゆえ、あなたはこう彼らに言わなければならない、『これはその神、主の声に聞き従わず、その戒めを受けいれなかった国民である。真実はうせ、彼らの口から絶えた。

95:1
　さあ、われらは主にむかって歌い、われらの救の岩にむかって喜ばしい声をあげよう。

　われらは感謝をもって、み前に行き、主にむかい、さんびの歌をもって、喜ばしい声をあげよう。

　さあ、われらは拝み、ひれ伏し、われらの造り主、主のみ前にひざまずこう。

　主はわれらの神であり、われらはその牧の民、そのみ手の羊である。どうか、あなたがたは、きょう、そのみ声を聞くように。

　あなたがたは、メリバにいた時のように、また荒野のマッサにいた日のように、心をかたくなにしてはならない。

　あの時、あなたがたの先祖たちはわたしのわざを見たにもかかわらず、わたしを試み、わたしをためした。

34:10
　主は言われた、「見よ、わたしは契約を結ぶ。わたしは地のいずこにも、いかなる民のうちにも、いまだ行われたことのない不思議を、あなたのすべての民の前に行うであろう。あなたが共に住む民はみな、主のわざを見るであろう。わたしがあなたのためになそうとすることは、恐るべきものだからである。

34:11
　わたしが、きょう、あなたに命じることを守りなさい。見よ、わたしはアモリびと、カナンびと、ヘテびと、ペリジびと、ヒビびと、エブスびとを、あなたの前から追い払うであろう。

34:12
　あなたが行く国に住んでいる者と、契約を結ばないように、気をつけなければならない。おそらく彼らはあなたのうちにあって、わなとなるであろう。

34:13
　むしろあなたがたは、彼らの祭壇を倒し、石の柱を砕き、アシラ像を切り倒さなければならない。

34:14
　あなたは他の神を拝んではならない。主はその名を『ねたみ』と言って、ねたむ神だからである。

34:15
　おそらくあなたはその国に住む者と契約を結び、彼らの神々を慕って姦淫を行い、その神々に犠牲をささげ、招かれて彼らの犠牲を食べ、

34:16
　またその娘たちを、あなたのむすこたちにめとり、その娘たちが自分たちの神々を慕って姦淫を行い、また、あなたのむすこたちをして、彼らの神々を慕わせ、姦淫を行わせるに至るであろう。

34:17
　あなたは自分のために鋳物の神々を造ってはならない。

34:18
　あなたは種入れぬパンの祭を守らなければならない。すなわち、わたしがあなたに命じたように、アビブの月の定めの時に、七日のあいだ、種入れぬパンを食べなければならない。あなたがアビブの月にエジプトを出たからである。

34:19
　すべて初めに生れる者は、わたしのものである。すべてあなたの家畜のういごの雄は、牛も羊もそうである。

34:20
　ただし、ろばのういごは小羊であがなわなければならない。もしあがなわないならば、その首を折らなければならない。あなたのむすこのうちのういごは、みなあがなわなければならない。むなし手でわたしの前に出てはならない。

34:21
　あなたは六日のあいだ働き、七日目には休まなければならない。耕し時にも、刈入れ時にも休まなければならない。

34:22
　あなたは七週の祭、すなわち小麦刈りの初穂の祭を行わなければならない。また年の終りに取り入れの祭を行わなければならない。

34:23
　年に三度、男子はみな主なる神、イスラエルの神の前に出なければならない。

34:24
　わたしは国々の民をあなたの前から追い払って、あなたの境を広くするであろう。あなたが年に三度のぼって、あなたの神、主の前に出る時には、だれもあなたの国を侵すことはないであろう。

34:25
　あなたは犠牲の血を、種を入れたパンと共に供えてはならない。また過越の祭の犠牲を、翌朝まで残して置いてはならない。

34:26
　あなたの土地の初穂の最も良いものを、あなたの神、主の家に携えてこなければならない。あなたは子やぎをその母の乳で煮てはならない」。

34:27
　また主はモーセに言われた、「これらの言葉を書きしるしなさい。わたしはこれらの言葉に基いて、あなたおよびイスラエルと契約を結んだからである」。

34:28
　モーセは主と共に、四十日四十夜、そこにいたが、パンも食べず、水も飲まなかった。そして彼は契約の言葉、十誡を板の上に書いた。

+ First Reading: Jeremiah 7:23-28

23 but this thing I commanded them, saying, ‘Listen to my voice, and I will be your God, and you shall be my people; and walk in all the way that I command you, that it may be well with you.’

24 But they didn’t listen nor turn their ear, but walked in their own counsels and in the stubbornness of their evil heart, and went backward, and not forward.

25 Since the day that your fathers came out of the land of Egypt to this day, I have sent to you all my servants the prophets, daily rising up early and sending them:

26 yet they didn’t listen to me, nor inclined their ear, but made their neck stiff: they did worse than their fathers.

27 “You shall speak all these words to them; but they will not listen to you: you shall also call to them; but they will not answer you.

28 You shall tell them, ‘This is the nation that has not listened to the voice of Yahweh their God, nor received instruction. Truth has perished, and is cut off from their mouth.’

14 He was casting out a demon, and it was mute. When the demon had gone out, the mute man spoke; and the multitudes marveled.

15 But some of them said, “He casts out demons by Beelzebul, the prince of the demons.”

16 Others, testing him, sought from him a sign from heaven.

17 But he, knowing their thoughts, said to them, “Every kingdom divided against itself is brought to desolation. A house divided against itself falls.

18 If Satan also is divided against himself, how will his kingdom stand? For you say that I cast out demons by Beelzebul.

19 But if I cast out demons by Beelzebul, by whom do your children cast them out? Therefore will they be your judges.

20 But if I by the finger of God cast out demons, then the Kingdom of God has come to you.

21 “When the strong man, fully armed, guards his own dwelling, his goods are safe.

22 But when someone stronger attacks him and overcomes him, he takes from him his whole armor in which he trusted, and divides his plunder.

23 “He that is not with me is against me. He who doesn’t gather with me scatters.

10 He said, “Behold, I make a covenant: before all your people I will do marvels, such as have not been worked in all the earth, nor in any nation; and all the people among which you are shall see the work of Yahweh; for it is an awesome thing that I do with you.

11 Observe that which I command you this day. Behold, I drive out before you the Amorite, the Canaanite, the Hittite, the Perizzite, the Hivite, and the Jebusite.

12 Be careful, lest you make a covenant with the inhabitants of the land where you are going, lest it be for a snare in the middle of you:

13 but you shall break down their altars, and dash in pieces their pillars, and you shall cut down their Asherah poles;

14 for you shall worship no other god: for Yahweh, whose name is Jealous, is a jealous God.

15 “Don’t make a covenant with the inhabitants of the land, lest they play the prostitute after their gods, and sacrifice to their gods, and one call you and you eat of his sacrifice;

16 and you take of their daughters to your sons, and their daughters play the prostitute after their gods, and make your sons play the prostitute after their gods.

17 “You shall make no cast idols for yourselves.

18 “You shall keep the feast of unleavened bread. Seven days you shall eat unleavened bread, as I commanded you, at the time appointed in the month Abib; for in the month Abib you came out of Egypt.

19 “All that opens the womb is mine; and all your livestock that is male, the firstborn of cow and sheep.

20 The firstborn of a donkey you shall redeem with a lamb: and if you will not redeem it, then you shall break its neck. All the firstborn of your sons you shall redeem. No one shall appear before me empty.

21 “Six days you shall work, but on the seventh day you shall rest: in plowing time and in harvest you shall rest.

22 “You shall observe the feast of weeks with the first fruits of wheat harvest, and the feast of harvest at the year’s end.

23 Three times in the year all your males shall appear before the Lord Yahweh, the God of Israel.

24 For I will drive out nations before you and enlarge your borders; neither shall any man desire your land when you go up to appear before Yahweh, your God, three times in the year.

25 “You shall not offer the blood of my sacrifice with leavened bread; neither shall the sacrifice of the feast of the Passover be left to the morning.

26 “You shall bring the first of the first fruits of your ground to the house of Yahweh your God.
“You shall not boil a young goat in its mother’s milk.”

27 Yahweh said to Moses, “Write you these words: for in accordance with these words I have made a covenant with you and with Israel.”

28 He was there with Yahweh forty days and forty nights; he neither ate bread, nor drank water. He wrote on the tablets the words of the covenant, the ten commandments.
