☆マタイによる福音(5:1-12a)

5:1
　イエスはこの群衆を見て、山に登り、座につかれると、弟子たちがみもとに近寄ってきた。

5:2
　そこで、イエスは口を開き、彼らに教えて言われた。

5:3
　「こころの貧しい人たちは、さいわいである、天国は彼らのものである。

5:4
　悲しんでいる人たちは、さいわいである、彼らは慰められるであろう。

5:5
　柔和な人たちは、さいわいである、彼らは地を受けつぐであろう。

5:6
　義に飢えかわいている人たちは、さいわいである、彼らは飽き足りるようになるであろう。

5:7
　あわれみ深い人たちは、さいわいである、彼らはあわれみを受けるであろう。

5:8
　心の清い人たちは、さいわいである、彼らは神を見るであろう。

5:9
　平和をつくり出す人たちは、さいわいである、彼らは神の子と呼ばれるであろう。

5:10
　義のために迫害されてきた人たちは、さいわいである、天国は彼らのものである。

5:11
　わたしのために人々があなたがたをののしり、また迫害し、あなたがたに対し偽って様々の悪口を言う時には、あなたがたは、さいわいである。

5:12a
　喜び、よろこべ、天においてあなたがたの受ける報いは大きい。




☆ヨハネの黙示録(7:2-4、9-14)

7:2
　また、もうひとりの御使が、生ける神の印を持って、日の出る方から上って来るのを見た。彼は地と海とをそこなう権威を授かっている四人の御使にむかって、大声で叫んで言った、

7:3
　「わたしたちの神の僕らの額に、わたしたちが印をおしてしまうまでは、地と海と木とをそこなってはならない」。

7:4
　わたしは印をおされた者の数を聞いたが、イスラエルの子らのすべての部族のうち、印をおされた者は十四万四千人であった。

7:9
　その後、わたしが見ていると、見よ、あらゆる国民、部族、民族、国語のうちから、数えきれないほどの大ぜいの群衆が、白い衣を身にまとい、しゅろの枝を手に持って、御座と小羊との前に立ち、

7:10
　大声で叫んで言った、「救は、御座にいますわれらの神と小羊からきたる」。

7:11
　御使たちはみな、御座と長老たちと四つの生き物とのまわりに立っていたが、御座の前にひれ伏し、神を拝して言った、

7:12
　「アァメン、さんび、栄光、知恵、感謝、ほまれ、力、勢いが、世々限りなく、われらの神にあるように、アァメン」。

7:13
　長老たちのひとりが、わたしにむかって言った、「この白い衣を身にまとっている人々は、だれか。また、どこからきたのか」。

7:14
　わたしは彼に答えた、「わたしの主よ、それはあなたがご存じです」。すると、彼はわたしに言った、「彼らは大きな患難をとおってきた人たちであって、その衣を小羊の血で洗い、それを白くしたのである。

24:1
　地と、それに満ちるもの、世界と、そのなかに住む者とは主のものである。

24:2
　主はその基を大海のうえにすえ、大川のうえに定められた。

24:3
　主の山に登るべき者はだれか。その聖所に立つべき者はだれか。

24:4ab
　手が清く、心のいさぎよい者、その魂がむなしい事に望みをかけない者、

24:5
　このような人は主から祝福をうけ、その救の神から義をうける。

24:6
　これこそ主を慕う者のやから、ヤコブの神の、み顔を求める者のやからである。




☆ヨハネの第一の手紙(3:1-3)

3:1
　わたしたちが神の子と呼ばれるためには、どんなに大きな愛を父から賜わったことか、よく考えてみなさい。わたしたちは、すでに神の子なのである。世がわたしたちを知らないのは、父を知らなかったからである。

3:2
　愛する者たちよ。わたしたちは今や神の子である。しかし、わたしたちがどうなるのか、まだ明らかではない。彼が現れる時、わたしたちは、自分たちが彼に似るものとなることを知っている。そのまことの御姿を見るからである。

3:3
　彼についてこの望みをいだいている者は皆、彼がきよくあられるように、自らをきよくする。

☆今日の読書：ヨハネの黙示録(5:1-14)

5:1
　わたしはまた、御座にいますかたの右の手に、巻物があるのを見た。その内側にも外側にも字が書いてあって、七つの封印で封じて あった。

5:2
　また、ひとりの強い御使が、大声で、「その巻物を開き、封印をとくのにふさわしい者は、だれか」と呼ばわっているのを見た。

5:3
　しかし、天にも地にも地の下にも、この巻物を開いて、それを見ることのできる者は、ひとりもいなかった。

5:4
　巻物を開いてそれを見るのにふさわしい者が見当らないので、わたしは激しく泣いていた。

5:5
　すると、長老のひとりがわたしに言った、「泣くな。見よ、ユダ族のしし、ダビデの若枝であるかたが、勝利を得たので、その巻物を開き七つの封印を解くことができる」。

5:6
　わたしはまた、御座と四つの生き物との間、長老たちの間に、ほふられたとみえる小羊が立っているのを見た。それに七つの角と七つの目とがあった。これらの目は、全世界につかわされた、神の七つの霊である。

5:7
　小羊は進み出て、御座にいますかたの右の手から、巻物を受けとった。

5:8
　巻物を受けとった時、四つの生き物と二十四人の長老とは、おのおの、立琴と、香の満ちている金の鉢とを手に持って、小羊の前にひれ伏した。この香は聖徒の祈である。

5:9
　彼らは新しい歌を歌って言った、「あなたこそは、その巻物を受けとり、封印を解くにふさわしいかたであります。あなたはほふられ、その血によって、神のために、あらゆる部族、国語、民族、国民の中から人々をあがない、

5:10
　わたしたちの神のために、彼らを御国の民とし、祭司となさいました。彼らは地上を支配するに至るでしょう」。

5:11
　さらに見ていると、御座と生き物と長老たちとのまわりに、多くの御使たちの声が上がるのを聞いた。その数は万の幾万倍、千の幾千倍もあって、

5:12
　大声で叫んでいた、「ほふられた小羊こそは、力と、富と、知恵と、勢いと、ほまれと、栄光と、さんびとを受けるにふさわしい」。

5:13
　またわたしは、天と地、地の下と海の中にあるすべての造られたもの、そして、それらの中にあるすべてのものの言う声を聞いた、「御座にいますかたと小羊とに、さんびと、ほまれと、栄光と、権力とが、世々限りなくあるように」。

5:14
　四つの生き物はアァメンと唱え、長老たちはひれ伏して礼拝した。

+ First Reading: Revelation 7:2-4, 9-14

2 I saw another angel ascend from the sunrise, having the seal of the living God. He cried with a loud voice to the four angels to whom it was given to harm the earth and the sea,

3 saying, “Don’t harm the earth, neither the sea, nor the trees, until we have sealed the bondservants of our God on their foreheads!”

4 I heard the number of those who were sealed, one hundred forty-four thousand, sealed out of every tribe of the children of Israel:

9 After these things I looked, and behold, a great multitude, which no man could number, out of every nation and of all tribes, peoples, and languages, standing before the throne and before the Lamb, dressed in white robes, with palm branches in their hands.

10 They cried with a loud voice, saying, “Salvation be to our God, who sits on the throne, and to the Lamb!”

11 All the angels were standing around the throne, the elders, and the four living creatures; and they fell on their faces before his throne, and worshiped God,

12 saying, “Amen! Blessing, glory, wisdom, thanksgiving, honor, power, and might, be to our God forever and ever! Amen.”

13 One of the elders answered, saying to me, “These who are arrayed in white robes, who are they, and from where did they come?”

14 I told him, “My lord, you know.”
He said to me, “These are those who came out of the great tribulation. They washed their robes, and made them white in the Lamb’s blood.

1 I saw, in the right hand of him who sat on the throne, a book written inside and outside, sealed shut with seven seals.

2 I saw a mighty angel proclaiming with a loud voice, “Who is worthy to open the book, and to break its seals?”

3 No one in heaven above, or on the earth, or under the earth, was able to open the book, or to look in it.

4 And I wept much, because no one was found worthy to open the book, or to look in it.

5 One of the elders said to me, “Don’t weep. Behold, the Lion who is of the tribe of Judah, the Root of David, has overcome; he who opens the book and its seven seals.”

6 I saw in the middle of the throne and of the four living creatures, and in the middle of the elders, a Lamb standing, as though it had been slain, having seven horns, and seven eyes, which are the seven Spirits of God, sent out into all the earth.

7 Then he came, and he took it out of the right hand of him who sat on the throne.

8 Now when he had taken the book, the four living creatures and the twenty-four elders fell down before the Lamb, each one having a harp, and golden bowls full of incense, which are the prayers of the saints.

9 They sang a new song, saying,
“You are worthy to take the book,
and to open its seals:
for you were killed,
and bought us for God with your blood,
out of every tribe, language, people, and nation,

10 and made us kings and priests to our God,
and we will reign on earth.”

11 I saw, and I heard something like a voice of many angels around the throne, the living creatures, and the elders; and the number of them was ten thousands of ten thousands, and thousands of thousands;

12 saying with a loud voice, “Worthy is the Lamb who has been killed to receive the power, wealth, wisdom, strength, honor, glory, and blessing!”

13 I heard every created thing which is in heaven, on the earth, under the earth, on the sea, and everything in them, saying, “To him who sits on the throne, and to the Lamb be the blessing, the honor, the glory, and the dominion, forever and ever! Amen!”*

14 The four living creatures said, “Amen!” The † elders fell down and worshiped.‡
