☆ルカによる福音(14:1、7-11)

14:1
　ある安息日のこと、食事をするために、あるパリサイ派のかしらの家にはいって行かれたが、人々はイエスの様子をうかがっていた。

14:7
　客に招かれた者たちが上座を選んでいる様子をごらんになって、彼らに一つの譬を語られた。

14:8
　「婚宴に招かれたときには、上座につくな。あるいは、あなたよりも身分の高い人が招かれているかも知れない。

14:9
　その場合、あなたとその人とを招いた者がきて、『このかたに座を譲ってください』と言うであろう。そのとき、あなたは恥じ入って末座につくことになるであろう。

14:10
　むしろ、招かれた場合には、末座に行ってすわりなさい。そうすれば、招いてくれた人がきて、『友よ、上座の方へお進みください』と言うであろう。そのとき、あなたは席を共にするみんなの前で、面目をほどこすことになるであろう。

14:11
　おおよそ、自分を高くする者は低くされ、自分を低くする者は高くされるであろう」。




☆ピリピ人への手紙(1:18b-26)

1:18b
　見えからであるにしても、真実からであるにしても、要するに、伝えられているのはキリストなのだから、わたしはそれを喜んでいるし、また喜ぶであろう。

1:19
　なぜなら、あなたがたの祈と、イエス・キリストの霊の助けとによって、この事がついには、わたしの救となることを知っているからである。

1:20
　そこで、わたしが切実な思いで待ち望むことは、わたしが、どんなことがあっても恥じることなく、かえって、いつものように今も、大胆に語ることによって、生きるにも死ぬにも、わたしの身によってキリストがあがめられることである。

1:21
　わたしにとっては、生きることはキリストであり、死ぬことは益である。

1:22
　しかし、肉体において生きていることが、わたしにとっては実り多い働きになるのだとすれば、どちらを選んだらよいか、わたしにはわからない。

1:23
　わたしは、これら二つのものの間に板ばさみになっている。わたしの願いを言えば、この世を去ってキリストと共にいることであり、実は、その方がはるかに望ましい。

1:24
　しかし、肉体にとどまっていることは、あなたがたのためには、さらに必要である。

1:25
　こう確信しているので、わたしは生きながらえて、あなたがた一同のところにとどまり、あなたがたの信仰を進ませ、その喜びを得させようと思う。

1:26
　そうなれば、わたしが再びあなたがたのところに行くので、あなたがたはわたしによってキリスト・イエスにある誇を増すことになろう。

　神よ、しかが谷川を慕いあえぐように、わが魂もあなたを慕いあえぐ。

　わが魂はかわいているように神を慕い、いける神を慕う。いつ、わたしは行って神のみ顔を見ることができるだろうか。

　わたしはかつて祭を守る多くの人と共に群れをなして行き、喜びと感謝の歌をもって彼らを神の家に導いた。

7章24節
　知恵はどんな動きよりも軽やかで、／純粋さゆえにすべてに染み込み、すべてを貫く。

7章25節
　知恵は神の力の息吹、／全能者の栄光から発する純粋な輝きであるから、／汚れたものは何一つその中に入り込まない。

7章26節
　知恵は永遠の光の反映、／神の働きを映す曇りのない鏡、／神の善の姿である。

7章27節
　知恵はひとりであってもすべてができ、／自らは変わらずにすべてを新たにし、／世々にわたって清い魂に移り住み、／神の友と預言者とを育成する。

7章28節
　神は、知恵と共に住む者だけを愛される。

7章29節
　知恵は太陽よりも美しく、／すべての星座にまさり、／光よりもはるかに輝かしい。

7章30節
　光の後には夜が来る。しかし、知恵が悪に打ち負かされることはない。
