13:24
　その日には、この患難の後、日は暗くなり、月はその光を放つことをやめ、

13:25
　星は空から落ち、天体は揺り動かされるであろう。

13:26
　そのとき、大いなる力と栄光とをもって、人の子が雲に乗って来るのを、人々は見るであろう。

13:27
　そのとき、彼は御使たちをつかわして、地のはてから天のはてまで、四方からその選民を呼び集めるであろう。

13:28
　いちじくの木からこの譬を学びなさい。その枝が柔らかになり、葉が出るようになると、夏の近いことがわかる。

13:29
　そのように、これらの事が起るのを見たならば、人の子が戸口まで近づいていると知りなさい。

13:30
　よく聞いておきなさい。これらの事が、ことごとく起るまでは、この時代は滅びることがない。

13:31
　天地は滅びるであろう。しかしわたしの言葉は滅びることがない。

13:32
　その日、その時は、だれも知らない。天にいる御使たちも、また子も知らない、ただ父だけが知っておられる。




☆ダニエル書(12:1-3)

12:1
　その時あなたの民を守っている大いなる君ミカエルが立ちあがります。また国が始まってから、その時にいたるまで、かつてなかったほどの悩みの時があるでしょう。しかし、その時あなたの民は救われます。すなわちあの書に名をしるされた者は皆救われます。

12:2
　また地のちりの中に眠っている者のうち、多くの者は目をさますでしょう。そのうち永遠の生命にいたる者もあり、また恥と、限りなき恥辱をうける者もあるでしょう。

12:3
　賢い者は、大空の輝きのように輝き、また多くの人を義に導く者は、星のようになって永遠にいたるでしょう。

　主はわたしの嗣業、またわたしの杯にうくべきもの。あなたはわたしの分け前を守られる。

16:8
　わたしは常に主をわたしの前に置く。主がわたしの右にいますゆえ、わたしは動かされることはない。

　このゆえに、わたしの心は楽しみ、わたしの魂は喜ぶ。わたしの身もまた安らかである。

16:10
　あなたはわたしを陰府に捨ておかれず、あなたの聖者に墓を見させられないからである。

16:11
　あなたはいのちの道をわたしに示される。あなたの前には満ちあふれる喜びがあり、あなたの右には、とこしえにもろもろの楽しみがある。

　こうして、すべての祭司は立って日ごとに儀式を行い、たびたび同じようないけにえをささげるが、それらは決して罪を除き去ることはできない。

　しかるに、キリストは多くの罪のために一つの永遠のいけにえをささげた後、神の右に座し、

　それから、敵をその足台とするときまで、待っておられる。

10:14
　彼は一つのささげ物によって、きよめられた者たちを永遠に全うされたのである。

　ユダと兄弟たちは言った。「見よ、我らの敵は粉砕された。都に上り、聖所を清め、これを新たに奉献しよう。」

　そこで全軍が集結し、シオンの山を目指して上って行った。

　彼らは荒れ果てた聖所を見、汚された祭壇、焼け落ちた門、雑木林あるいは山の中のように草むした中庭、崩れ落ちた祭司部屋を見て、

　衣服を裂き、激しく胸を打ち、灰をかぶり、

　地面に顔を伏せ、合図のラッパを吹き鳴らし、天に向かって叫んだ。

　それからユダは兵たちに、聖所の清めが終わるまで、要塞の中の者たちを相手に戦うよう命じ、

　律法に忠実で、とがめられるところのない祭司たちを選んだ。

4章43節
　祭司たちは聖所を清め、汚れの石を不浄の場所に移した。

4章44節
　それから汚されてしまった焼き尽くす献げ物のための祭壇の処置をめぐって協議し、

　それを引き倒すことが最善ということになった。異教徒がそれを汚したので、そのことで自分たちが非難されないためである。こうして彼らはその祭壇を引き倒した。

4章46節
　そしてこの石を神殿の丘の適当な場所に置き、預言者が現れて、この石について指示を与えてくれるまで、そこに放置することにした。

4章47節
　そして祭司たちは、律法に従って、自然のままの石を持って来て、以前のものに倣って新しい祭壇を築いた。

4章48節
　こうして、聖所および神殿の内部を修復し、中庭を清めた。

4章49節
　また聖なる祭具類を新しくし、燭台、香壇、供えのパンの机を神殿に運び入れ、

4章50節
　香壇には香をたき、燭台には火をともして神殿内部を照らした。

4章51節
　また机には供えのパンを置き、垂れ幕を垂らした。かくしてなすべきことはすべてなし終えた。

4章52節
　第百四十八年の第九の月――キスレウの月――の二十五日に、彼らは朝早く起き、

　焼き尽くす献げ物のための新しい祭壇の上に律法に従っていけにえを供えた。

4章54節
　異教徒が祭壇を汚したのと同じ日、同じ時に、歌と琴、竪琴とシンバルに合わせて、その日に祭壇を新たに奉献した。

4章55節
　民は皆、地に顔を伏せて拝み、彼らを正しく導いてくださった方を天に向かってたたえた。

4章56節
　こうして祭壇の奉献を八日にわたって祝い、喜びをもって焼き尽くす献げ物をささげ、和解の献げ物と感謝の献げ物のいけにえを屠った。

4章57節
　彼らはまた神殿の正面を黄金の冠と小盾で飾り、門と祭司部屋を再建し、戸を取り付けた。

4章58節
　民の間には大きな喜びがあふれた。こうして異邦人から受けた恥辱は取り除かれたのである。

4章59節
　ユダとその兄弟たち、およびイスラエルの全会衆はこの祭壇奉献の日を、以後毎年同じ時期、キスレウの月の二十五日から八日間、喜びと楽しみをもって祝うことにした。

+ First Reading: Daniel 12:1-3

1 “At that time shall Michael stand up, the great prince who stands for the children of your people; and there shall be a time of trouble, such as never was since there was a nation even to that same time: and at that time your people shall be delivered, everyone who shall be found written in the book.

2 Many of those who sleep in the dust of the earth shall awake, some to everlasting life, and some to shame and everlasting contempt.

3 Those who are wise shall shine as the brightness of the expanse; and those who turn many to righteousness as the stars forever and ever.

5 Yahweh assigned my portion and my cup.
You made my lot secure.

8 I have set Yahweh always before me.

27 Then he will send out his angels, and will gather together his chosen ones from the four winds, from the ends of the earth to the ends of the sky.

28 “Now from the fig tree, learn this parable. When the branch has now become tender, and produces its leaves, you know that the summer is near;

29 even so you also, when you see these things coming to pass, know that it is near, at the doors.

30 Most certainly I say to you, this generation†The word translated “generation” (genea) could also be translated “race”, “family”, or “people”. will not pass away until all these things happen.

31 Heaven and earth will pass away, but my words will not pass away.

32 But of that day or that hour no one knows, not even the angels in heaven, nor the Son, but only the Father.

38 And they saw the sanctuary laid desolate, and the altar profaned, and the gates burned up, and shrubs growing in the courts as in a forest or as on one of the mountains, and the priests' chambers pulled down;

39 and they tore their clothes, and made great lamentation, and put ashes upon their heads,

40 and fell on their faces to the ground, and ** Compare Num. xxxi. 6. blew with the †† Gr. trumpets of signals. solemn trumpets, and cried toward heaven.

41 Then Judas appointed certain men to fight against those that were in the citadel, until he should have cleansed the holy place.

42 And he chose blameless priests, such as had pleasure in the law:

43 and they cleansed the holy place, and bare out the stones of defilement into an unclean place.

44 And they took counsel concerning the altar of burnt offerings, which had been profaned, what they should do with it:

45 and there came into their mind a good counsel, that they should pull it down, lest it should be a reproach to them, because the Gentiles had defiled it: and they pulled down the altar,

46 and laid up the stones in the mountain of the house in a convenient place, until there should come a prophet to give an answer concerning them.

47 And they took whole stones according to the law, and built a new altar after the fashion of the former;

48 and they built the holy place, and the inner parts of the house; and they hallowed the courts.

49 And they made the holy vessels new, and they brought the candlestick, and the altar of burnt offerings and of incense, and the table, into the temple.

50 And they burned incense upon the altar, and they lighted the lamps that were upon the candlestick, and they gave light in the temple.

51 And they set loaves upon the table, and spread out the veils, and finished all the works which they made.

52 And they rose up early in the morning, on the five and twentieth day of the ninth month, which is the month Chislev, in ‡‡ circa B.C. 165. the hundred and forty and eighth year,

53 and offered sacrifice according to the law upon the new altar of burnt offerings which they had made.

54 At what time and on what day the Gentiles had profaned it, even on that day was it dedicated afresh, with songs and harps and lutes, and with cymbals.

55 And all the people fell upon their faces, and worshipped, and §§ Or, gave praise, looking up to heaven, to him which gave praise to heaven, which had given them good success.

56 And they kept the dedication of the altar eight days, and offered burnt offerings with gladness, and sacrificed a sacrifice of deliverance and praise.

57 And they decked the forefront of the temple with crowns of gold and small shields, and dedicated afresh the gates and the priests' chambers, and made doors for them.

58 And there was exceeding great gladness among the people, and the reproach of the Gentiles was turned away.

59 And Judas and his brethren and the whole congregation of Israel ordained, that the days of the dedication of the altar should be kept in their seasons from year to year by the space of eight days, from the five and twentieth day of the month Chislev, with gladness and joy.
