ヨハネによる福音 17:20-26
17:20
わたしは彼らのためばかりではなく、彼らの言葉を聞いてわたしを信じている人々のためにも、お願いいたします。
17:21
父よ、それは、あなたがわたしのうちにおられ、わたしがあなたのうちにいるように、みんなの者が一つとなるためであります。すなわち、彼らをもわたしたちのうちにおらせるためであり、それによって、あなたがわたしをおつかわしになったことを、世が信じるようになるためであります。
17:22
わたしは、あなたからいただいた栄光を彼らにも与えました。それは、わたしたちが一つであるように、彼らも一つになるためであります。
17:23
わたしが彼らにおり、あなたがわたしにいますのは、彼らが完全に一つとなるためであり、また、あなたがわたしをつかわし、わたしを愛されたように、彼らをお愛しになったことを、世が知るためであります。
17:24
父よ、あなたがわたしに賜わった人々が、わたしのいる所に一緒にいるようにして下さい。天地が造られる前からわたしを愛して下さって、わたしに賜わった栄光を、彼らに見させて下さい。
17:25
正しい父よ、この世はあなたを知っていません。しかし、わたしはあなたを知り、また彼らも、あなたがわたしをおつかわしになったことを知っています。
17:26
そしてわたしは彼らに御名を知らせました。またこれからも知らせましょう。それは、あなたがわたしを愛して下さったその愛が彼らのうちにあり、またわたしも彼らのうちにおるためであります」。

翌日、彼は、ユダヤ人がなぜパウロを訴え出たのか、その真相を知ろうと思って彼を解いてやり、同時に祭司長たちと全議会とを召集させ、そこに彼を引き出して、彼らの前に立たせた。
23:6
パウロは、議員の一部がサドカイ人であり、一部はパリサイ人であるのを見て、議会の中で声を高めて言った、「兄弟たちよ、わたしはパリサイ人であり、パリサイ人の子である。わたしは、死人の復活の望みをいだいていることで、裁判を受けているのである」。
23:7
彼がこう言ったところ、パリサイ人とサドカイ人との間に争論が生じ、会衆が相分れた。
23:8
元来、サドカイ人は、復活とか天使とか霊とかは、いっさい存在しないと言い、パリサイ人は、それらは、みな存在すると主張している。
23:9
そこで、大騒ぎとなった。パリサイ派のある律法学者たちが立って、強く主張して言った、「われわれは、この人には何も悪いことがないと思う。あるいは、霊か天使かが、彼に告げたのかも知れない」。
23:10
こうして、争論が激しくなったので、千卒長は、パウロが彼らに引き裂かれるのを気づかって、兵卒どもに、降りて行ってパウロを彼らの中から力づくで引き出し、兵営に連れて来るように、命じた。
23:11
その夜、主がパウロに臨んで言われた、「しっかりせよ。あなたは、エルサレムでわたしのことをあかししたように、ローマでもあかしをしなくてはならない」。

みんなの者は、長いあいだ食事もしないでいたが、その時、パウロが彼らの中に立って言った、「皆さん、あなたがたが、わたしの忠告を聞きいれて、クレテから出なかったら、このような危害や損失を被らなくてすんだはずであった。
27:22
だが、この際、お勧めする。元気を出しなさい。舟が失われるだけで、あなたがたの中で生命を失うものは、ひとりもいないであろう。
27:23
昨夜、わたしが仕え、また拝んでいる神からの御使が、わたしのそばに立って言った、
27:24
『パウロよ、恐れるな。あなたは必ずカイザルの前に立たなければならない。たしかに神は、あなたと同船の者を、ことごとくあなたに賜わっている』。
27:25
だから、皆さん、元気を出しなさい。万事はわたしに告げられたとおりに成って行くと、わたしは、神かけて信じている。
27:26
われわれは、どこかの島に打ちあげられるに相違ない」。
27:27
わたしたちがアドリヤ海に漂ってから十四日目の夜になった時、真夜中ごろ、水夫らはどこかの陸地に近づいたように感じた。
27:28
そこで、水の深さを測ってみたところ、二十ひろであることがわかった。それから少し進んで、もう一度測ってみたら、十五ひろであった。
27:29
わたしたちが、万一暗礁に乗り上げては大変だと、人々は気づかって、ともから四つのいかりを投げおろし、夜の明けるのを待ちわびていた。
27:30
その時、水夫らが舟から逃げ出そうと思って、へさきからいかりを投げおろすと見せかけ、小舟を海におろしていたので、
27:31
パウロは、百卒長や兵卒たちに言った、「あの人たちが、舟に残っていなければ、あなたがたは助からない」。
27:32
そこで兵卒たちは、小舟の綱を断ち切って、その流れて行くままに任せた。
27:33
夜が明けかけたころ、パウロは一同の者に、食事をするように勧めて言った、「あなたがたが食事もせずに、見張りを続けてから、何も食べないで、きょうが十四日目に当る。
27:34
だから、いま食事を取ることをお勧めする。それが、あなたがたを救うことになるのだから。たしかに髪の毛ひとすじでも、あなたがたの頭から失われることはないであろう」。
27:35
彼はこう言って、パンを取り、みんなの前で神に感謝し、それをさいて食べはじめた。
27:36
そこで、みんなの者も元気づいて食事をした。
27:37
舟にいたわたしたちは、合わせて二百七十六人であった。
27:38
みんなの者は、じゅうぶんに食事をした後、穀物を海に投げすてて舟を軽くした。
27:39
夜が明けて、どこの土地かよくわからなかったが、砂浜のある入江が見えたので、できれば、それに舟を乗り入れようということになった。
27:40
そこで、いかりを切り離して海に捨て、同時にかじの綱をゆるめ、風に前の帆をあげて、砂浜にむかって進んだ。
27:41
ところが、潮流の流れ合う所に突き進んだため、舟を浅瀬に乗りあげてしまって、へさきがめり込んで動かなくなり、ともの方は激浪のためにこわされた。
27:42
兵卒たちは、囚人らが泳いで逃げるおそれがあるので、殺してしまおうと図ったが、
27:43
百卒長は、パウロを救いたいと思うところから、その意図をしりぞけ、泳げる者はまず海に飛び込んで陸に行き、
27:44
その他の者は、板や舟の破片に乗って行くように命じた。こうして、全部の者が上陸して救われたのであった。

20 Not for these only do I pray, but for those also who believe in me through their word,
21 that they may all be one; even as you, Father, are in me, and I in you, that they also may be one in us; that the world may believe that you sent me.
22 The glory which you have given me, I have given to them; that they may be one, even as we are one;
23 I in them, and you in me, that they may be perfected into one; that the world may know that you sent me, and loved them, even as you loved me.
24 Father, I desire that they also whom you have given me be with me where I am, that they may see my glory, which you have given me, for you loved me before the foundation of the world.
25 Righteous Father, the world hasn’t known you, but I knew you; and these knew that you sent me.
26 I made known to them your name, and will make it known; that the love with which you loved me may be in them, and I in them.”

22:30 But on the next day, desiring to know the truth about why he was accused by the Jews, he freed him from the bonds, and commanded the chief priests and all the council to come together, and brought Paul down and set him before them.
6 But when Paul perceived that the one part were Sadducees and the other Pharisees, he cried out in the council, “Men and brothers, I am a Pharisee, a son of Pharisees. Concerning the hope and resurrection of the dead I am being judged!”
7 When he had said this, an arguement arose between the Pharisees and Sadducees, and the crowd was divided.
8 For the Sadducees say that there is no resurrection, nor angel, nor spirit; but the Pharisees confess all of these.
9 A great clamour arose, and some of the scribes of the Pharisees’ part stood up, and contended, saying, “We find no evil in this man. But if a spirit or angel has spoken to him, let’s not fight against God!”
10 When a great arguement arose, the commanding officer, fearing that Paul would be torn in pieces by them, commanded the soldiers to go down and take him by force from amongst them, and bring him into the barracks.
11 The following night, the Lord stood by him, and said, “Cheer up, Paul, for as you have testified about me at Jerusalem, so you must testify also at Rome.”
