ヨハネによる福音 21:15-19
21:15
彼らが食事をすませると、イエスはシモン・ペテロに言われた、「ヨハネの子シモンよ、あなたはこの人たちが愛する以上に、わたしを愛するか」。ペテロは言った、「主よ、そうです。わたしがあなたを愛することは、あなたがご存じです」。イエスは彼に「わたしの小羊を養いなさい」と言われた。
21:16
またもう一度彼に言われた、「ヨハネの子シモンよ、わたしを愛するか」。彼はイエスに言った、「主よ、そうです。わたしがあなたを愛することは、あなたがご存じです」。イエスは彼に言われた、「わたしの羊を飼いなさい」。
21:17
イエスは三度目に言われた、「ヨハネの子シモンよ、わたしを愛するか」。ペテロは「わたしを愛するか」とイエスが三度も言われたので、心をいためてイエスに言った、「主よ、あなたはすべてをご存じです。わたしがあなたを愛していることは、おわかりになっています」。イエスは彼に言われた、「わたしの羊を養いなさい。
21:18
よくよくあなたに言っておく。あなたが若かった時には、自分で帯をしめて、思いのままに歩きまわっていた。しかし年をとってからは、自分の手をのばすことになろう。そして、ほかの人があなたに帯を結びつけ、行きたくない所へ連れて行くであろう」。
21:19
これは、ペテロがどんな死に方で、神の栄光をあらわすかを示すために、お話しになったのである。こう話してから、「わたしに従ってきなさい」と言われた。

数日たった後、アグリッパ王とベルニケとが、フェストに敬意を表するため、カイザリヤにきた。
25:14
ふたりは、そこに何日間も滞在していたので、フェストは、パウロのことを王に話して言った、「ここに、ペリクスが囚人として残して行ったひとりの男がいる。
25:15
わたしがエルサレムに行った時、この男のことを、祭司長たちやユダヤ人の長老たちが、わたしに報告し、彼を罪に定めるようにと要求した。
25:16
そこでわたしは、彼らに答えた、『訴えられた者が、訴えた者の前に立って、告訴に対し弁明する機会を与えられない前に、その人を見放してしまうのは、ローマ人の慣例にはないことである』。
25:17
それで、彼らがここに集まってきた時、わたしは時をうつさず、次の日に裁判の席について、その男を引き出させた。
25:18
訴えた者たちは立ち上がったが、わたしが推測していたような悪事は、彼について何一つ申し立てはしなかった。
25:19
ただ、彼と争い合っているのは、彼ら自身の宗教に関し、また、死んでしまったのに生きているとパウロが主張しているイエスなる者に関する問題に過ぎない。
25:20
これらの問題を、どう取り扱ってよいかわからなかったので、わたしは彼に、『エルサレムに行って、これらの問題について、そこでさばいてもらいたくはないか』と尋ねてみた。
25:21
ところがパウロは、皇帝の判決を受ける時まで、このまま自分をとどめておいてほしいと言うので、カイザルに彼を送りとどける時までとどめておくようにと、命じておいた」。

使徒行伝 28:1-14
28:1
わたしたちが、こうして救われてからわかったが、これはマルタと呼ばれる島であった。
28:2
土地の人々は、わたしたちに並々ならぬ親切をあらわしてくれた。すなわち、降りしきる雨や寒さをしのぐために、火をたいてわたしたち一同をねぎらってくれたのである。
28:3
そのとき、パウロはひとかかえの柴をたばねて火にくべたところ、熱気のためにまむしが出てきて、彼の手にかみついた。
28:4
土地の人々は、この生きものがパウロの手からぶら下がっているのを見て、互に言った、「この人は、きっと人殺しに違いない。海からはのがれたが、ディケーの神様が彼を生かしてはおかないのだ」。
28:5
ところがパウロは、まむしを火の中に振り落して、なんの害も被らなかった。
28:6
彼らは、彼が間もなくはれ上がるか、あるいは、たちまち倒れて死ぬだろうと、様子をうかがっていた。しかし、長い間うかがっていても、彼の身になんの変ったことも起らないのを見て、彼らは考えを変えて、「この人は神様だ」と言い出した。
28:7
さて、その場所の近くに、島の首長、ポプリオという人の所有地があった。彼は、そこにわたしたちを招待して、三日のあいだ親切にもてなしてくれた。
28:8
たまたま、ポプリオの父が赤痢をわずらい、高熱で床についていた。そこでパウロは、その人のところにはいって行って祈り、手を彼の上においていやしてやった。
28:9
このことがあってから、ほかに病気をしている島の人たちが、ぞくぞくとやってきて、みないやされた。
28:10
彼らはわたしたちを非常に尊敬し、出帆の時には、必要な品々を持ってきてくれた。
28:11
三か月たった後、わたしたちは、この島に冬ごもりをしていたデオスクリの船飾りのあるアレキサンドリヤの舟で、出帆した。
28:12
そして、シラクサに寄港して三日のあいだ停泊し、
28:13
そこから進んでレギオンに行った。それから一日おいて、南風が吹いてきたのに乗じ、ふつか目にポテオリに着いた。
28:14
そこで兄弟たちに会い、勧められるまま、彼らのところに七日間も滞在した。それからわたしたちは、ついにローマに到着した。

Gospel John 21:15-19
15 So when they had eaten their breakfast, Jesus said to Simon Peter, “Simon, son of Jonah, do you love me more than these?”
He said to him, “Yes, Lord; you know that I have affection for you.”
He said to him, “Feed my lambs.”
16 He said to him again a second time, “Simon, son of Jonah, do you love me?”
He said to him, “Yes, Lord; you know that I have affection for you.”
He said to him, “Tend my sheep.”
17 He said to him the third time, “Simon, son of Jonah, do you have affection for me?”
Peter was grieved because he asked him the third time, “Do you have affection for me?” He said to him, “Lord, you know everything. You know that I have affection for you.”
Jesus said to him, “Feed my sheep.
18 Most certainly I tell you, when you were young, you dressed yourself, and walked where you wanted to. But when you are old, you will stretch out your hands, and another will dress you, and carry you where you don’t want to go.”
19 Now he said this, signifying by what kind of death he would glorify God. When he had said this, he said to him, “Follow me.”

13b King Agrippa and Bernice arrived at Caesarea, and greeted Festus.
14 As he stayed there many days, Festus laid Paul’s case before the king, saying, “There is a certain man left a prisoner by Felix;
15 about whom, when I was at Jerusalem, the chief priests and the elders of the Jews informed me, asking for a sentence against him.
16 To whom I answered that it is not the custom of the Romans to give up any man to destruction, before the accused has met the accusers face to face, and has had opportunity to make his defence concerning the matter laid against him.
17 When therefore they had come together here, I didn’t delay, but on the next day sat on the judgement seat, and commanded the man to be brought.
18 Concerning whom, when the accusers stood up, they brought no charge of such things as I supposed;
19 but had certain questions against him about their own religion, and about one Jesus, who was dead, whom Paul affirmed to be alive.
20 Being perplexed how to enquire concerning these things, I asked whether he was willing to go to Jerusalem and there be judged concerning these matters.
21 But when Paul had appealed to be kept for the decision of the emperor, I commanded him to be kept until I could send him to Caesar.”
