マタイによる福音 6:19-23

6:19
　あなたがたは自分のために、虫が食い、さびがつき、また、盗人らが押し入って盗み出すような地上に、宝をたくわえてはならない。

6:20
　むしろ自分のため、虫も食わず、さびもつかず、また、盗人らが押し入って盗み出すこともない天に、宝をたくわえなさい。

6:21
　あなたの宝のある所には、心もあるからである。

6:22
　目はからだのあかりである。だから、あなたの目が澄んでおれば、全身も明るいだろう。

6:23
　しかし、あなたの目が悪ければ、全身も暗いだろう。だから、もしあなたの内なる光が暗ければ、その暗さは、どんなであろう。

列王紀下 11:1-4, 9-18, 20

11:1
　さてアハジヤの母アタリヤはその子の死んだのを見て、立って王の一族をことごとく滅ぼしたが、

11:2
　ヨラム王の娘で、アハジヤの姉妹であるエホシバはアハジヤの子ヨアシを、殺されようとしている王の子たちのうちから盗み取り、彼とそのうばとを寝室に入れて、アタリヤに隠したので、彼はついに殺されなかった。

11:3
　ヨアシはうばと共に六年の間、主の宮に隠れていたが、その間アタリヤが国を治めた。

11:4
　第七年になってエホヤダは人をつかわして、カリびとと近衛兵との大将たちを招きよせ、主の宮にいる自分のもとにこさせ、彼らと契約を結び、主の宮で彼らに誓いをさせて王の子を見せ、

11:9
　そこでその大将たちは祭司エホヤダがすべて命じたとおりにおこなった。すなわち彼らはおのおの安息日に非番となる者と、安息日に当番となる者とを率いて祭司エホヤダのもとにきたので、

11:10
　祭司は主の宮にあるダビデ王のやりと盾を大将たちに渡した。

11:11
　近衛兵はおのおの手に武器をとって主の宮の南側から北側まで、祭壇と宮を取り巻いて立った。

11:12
　そこでエホヤダは王の子をつれ出して冠をいただかせ、律法の書を渡し、彼を王と宣言して油を注いだので、人々は手を打って「王万歳」と言った。

11:13
　アタリヤは近衛兵と民の声を聞いて、主の宮に入り、民のところへ行って、

11:14
　見ると、王は慣例にしたがって柱のかたわらに立ち、王のかたわらには大将たちとラッパ手たちが立ち、また国の民は皆喜んでラッパを吹いていたので、アタリヤはその衣を裂いて、「反逆です、反逆です」と叫んだ。

11:15
　その時祭司エホヤダは軍勢を指揮していた大将たちに命じて、「彼女を列の間をとおって出て行かせ、彼女に従う者をつるぎをもって殺しなさい」と言った。これは祭司がさきに「彼女を主の宮で殺してはならない」と言ったからである。

11:16
　そこで彼らは彼女を捕え、王の家の馬道へ連れて行ったが、彼女はついにそこで殺された。

11:17
　かくてエホヤダは主と王および民との間に、皆主の民となるという契約を立てさせ、また王と民との間にもそれを立てさせた。

11:18
　そこで国の民は皆バアルの宮に行って、これをこわし、その祭壇とその像を打ち砕き、バアルの祭司マッタンをその祭壇の前で殺した。そして祭司は主の宮に管理人を置いた。

11:20
　こうして国の民は皆喜び、町はアタリヤが王の家でつるぎをもって殺されてのち、おだやかになった。 11:21ヨアシは位についた時七歳であった。

ゼカリヤ書　1:1-2:4

1:1
　ダリヨスの第二年の八月に、主の言葉がイドの子ベレキヤの子である預言者ゼカリヤに臨んだ、

1:2
　「主はあなたがたの先祖たちに対して、いたくお怒りになった。

1:3
　それゆえ、万軍の主はこう仰せられると、彼らに告げよ。万軍の主は仰せられる、わたしに帰れ、そうすれば、わたしもあなたがたに帰ろうと、万軍の主は仰せられる。

1:4
　あなたがたの先祖たちのようであってはならない。先の預言者たちは、彼らにむかって叫んで言った、『万軍の主はこう仰せられる、悪い道を離れ、悪いおこないを捨てて帰れ』と。しかし彼らは聞きいれず、耳をわたしに傾けなかったと主は言われる。

1:5
　あなたがたの先祖たち、彼らはどこにいるか。預言者たち、彼らは永遠に生きているのか。

1:6
　しかしわたしのしもべである預言者たちに命じたわが言葉と、わが定めとは、あなたがたの先祖たちに及んだではないか。それで彼らは立ち返って言った、『万軍の主がわれわれの道にしたがい、おこないに従って、われわれに、なそうと思い定められたように、そのとおりされたのだ』と」。

1:7
　ダリヨスの第二年の十一月、すなわちセバテという月の二十四日に、主の言葉がイドの子ベレキヤの子である預言者ゼカリヤに臨んだ。そしてゼカリヤは言った、

1:8
　「わたしは夜、見ていると、ひとりの人が赤馬に乗って、谷間にあるミルトスの木の中に立ち、その後に赤馬、栗毛の馬、白馬がいた。

1:9
　その時わたしが『わが主よ、これらはなんですか』と尋ねると、わたしと語る天の使は言った、『これがなんであるか、あなたに示しましょう』。

1:10
　すると、ミルトスの木の中に立っている人が答えて、『これらは地を見回らせるために、主がつかわされた者です』と言うと、

1:11
　彼らは答えて、ミルトスの中に立っている主の使に言った、『われわれは地を見回ったが、全地はすべて平穏です』。

1:12
　すると主の使は言った、『万軍の主よ、あなたは、いつまでエルサレムとユダの町々とを、あわれんで下さらないのですか。あなたはお怒りになって、すでに七十年になりました』。

1:13
　主はわたしと語る天の使に、ねんごろな慰めの言葉をもって答えられた。

1:14
　そこで、わたしと語る天の使は言った、『あなたは呼ばわって言いなさい。万軍の主はこう仰せられます、わたしはエルサレムのため、シオンのために、大いなるねたみを起し、

1:15
　安らかにいる国々の民に対して、大いに怒る。なぜなら、わたしが少しばかり怒ったのに、彼らは、大いにこれを悩ましたからであると。

1:16
　それゆえ、主はこう仰せられます、わたしはあわれみをもってエルサレムに帰る。わたしの家はその中に建てられ、測りなわはエルサレムに張られると、万軍の主は仰せられます。

1:17
　あなたはまた呼ばわって言いなさい。万軍の主はこう仰せられます、わが町々は再び良い物で満ちあふれ、主は再びシオンを慰め、再びエルサレムを選ぶ』と」。

1:18
　わたしが目をあげて見ていると、見よ、四つの角があった。

1:19
　わたしと語る天の使に「これらはなんですか」と言うと、彼は答えて言った、「これらはユダ、イスラエルおよびエルサレムを散らした角です」。

1:20
　その時、主は四人の鍛冶をわたしに示された。

1:21
　わたしが「これらは何をするために来たのですか」と言うと、彼は答えた、「これらの角はユダを散らして、人にその頭をあげさせなかったものですが、この四人の者が来たのは彼らをおどし、かのユダの地にむかって角をあげ、これを散らした国々の民の角を投げうつためです」。

2:1
　またわたしが目をあげて見ていると、見よ、ひとりの人が、測りなわを手に持っているので、

2:2
　「あなたはどこへ行くのですか」と尋ねると、その人はわたしに言った、「エルサレムを測って、その広さと、長さを見ようとするのです」。

2:3
　すると見よ、わたしと語る天の使が出て行くと、またひとりの天の使が出てきて、これに出会って、

2:4
　言った、「走って行って、あの若い人に言いなさい、『エルサレムはその中に、人と家畜が多くなるので、城壁のない村里のように、人の住む所となるでしょう。

Gospel Matthew 6:19-23

19 “Don’t lay up treasures for yourselves on the earth, where moth and rust consume, and where thieves break through and steal;

20 but lay up for yourselves treasures in heaven, where neither moth nor rust consume, and where thieves don’t break through and steal;

21 for where your treasure is, there your heart will be also.

22 “The lamp of the body is the eye. If therefore your eye is sound, your whole body will be full of light.

23 But if your eye is evil, your whole body will be full of darkness. If therefore the light that is in you is darkness, how great is the darkness!

2 Kings 11:1-4, 9-18, 20

1 Now when Athaliah the mother of Ahaziah saw that her son was dead, she arose and destroyed all the royal offspring.*

2 But Jehosheba, the daughter of king Joram, sister of Ahaziah, took Joash the son of Ahaziah, and stole him away from amongst the king’s sons who were slain, even him and his nurse, and put them in the bedroom; and they hid him from Athaliah, so that he was not slain.

3 He was with her hidden in the LORD’s house six years while Athaliah reigned over the land.

4 In the seventh year Jehoiada sent and fetched the captains over hundreds of the Carites and of the guard, and brought them to him into the LORD’s house; and he made a covenant with them, and made a covenant with them in the LORD’s house, and showed them the king’s son.

9 The captains over hundreds did according to all that Jehoiada the priest commanded; and they each took his men, those who were to come in on the Sabbath, with those who were to go out on the Sabbath, and came to Jehoiada the priest.

10 The priest delivered to the captains over hundreds the spears and shields that had been king David’s, which were in the LORD’s house.

11 The guard stood, every man with his weapons in his hand, from the right side of the house to the left side of the house, along by the altar and the house, around the king.

12 Then he brought out the king’s son, and put the crown on him, and gave him the covenant; and they made him king, and anointed him; and they clapped their hands, and said, “Long live the king!”

13 When Athaliah heard the noise of the guard and of the people, she came to the people into the LORD’s house:

14 and she looked, and behold, the king stood by the pillar, as the tradition was, with the captains and the trumpets by the king; and all the people of the land rejoiced, and blew trumpets. Then Athaliah tore her clothes, and cried, “Treason! Treason!”

15 Jehoiada the priest commanded the captains of hundreds who were set over the army, and said to them, “Bring her out between the ranks. Kill anyone who follows her with the sword.” For the priest said, “Don’t let her be slain in the LORD’s house.”

16 So they made way for her; and she went by the way of the horses’ entry to the king’s house, and she was slain there.

17 Jehoiada made a covenant between the LORD and the king and the people, that they should be the LORD’s people; also between the king and the people.

18 All the people of the land went to the house of Baal, and broke it down; his altars and his images broke they in pieces thoroughly, and killed Mattan the priest of Baal before the altars. The priest appointed officers over the LORD’s house.

20 So all the people of the land rejoiced, and the city was quiet. They had slain Athaliah with the sword at the king’s house.
