ヨハネによる福音 15:9-17
父がわたしを愛されたように、わたしもあなたがたを愛したのである。わたしの愛のうちにいなさい。
もしわたしのいましめを守るならば、あなたがたはわたしの愛のうちにおるのである。それはわたしがわたしの父のいましめを守ったので、その愛のうちにおるのと同じである。
わたしがこれらのことを話したのは、わたしの喜びがあなたがたのうちにも宿るため、また、あなたがたの喜びが満ちあふれるためである。
わたしのいましめは、これである。わたしがあなたがたを愛したように、あなたがたも互に愛し合いなさい。
人がその友のために自分の命を捨てること、これよりも大きな愛はない。
あなたがたにわたしが命じることを行うならば、あなたがたはわたしの友である。
わたしはもう、あなたがたを僕とは呼ばない。僕は主人のしていることを知らないからである。わたしはあなたがたを友と呼んだ。わたしの父から聞いたことを皆、あなたがたに知らせたからである。

☆今日の『み言葉』
ヨハネによる福音 15:9-17
きょうの福音は葡萄の木の喩えのあとに続くものである。ここでは「とどまる」という言葉が何回も出て来る。これはヨハネらしい言葉の使い方である。ちなみにヨハネは、小アジアのキリスト者の共同体に宛てた手紙のなかで「神は私たちに、ご自分の霊を分け与えてくださいました。このことから、私たちが神にとどまり、神も私たちのうちにとどまってくださることがわかります。神は愛です。愛にとどまる人は、神のうちにとどまり、神もその人のうちにとどまってくださいます」（ヨハネ第一の手紙4,13〜16）と同じ言葉が繰り返している。この「とどまる」、「つながっている」とも訳されるギリシャ語「メノー」は「一体性」を意味すると考えられる。
イエスが父にとどまり、父と一体であるように、弟子たち−わたしたち−も,イエスにとどまって、イエスと一体にならなければ、信仰の実りである愛を生きることはできない。主イエスは「わたしを離れては、あなたたちは何もできない」といわれている（15,5）。

そのころ、百二十名ばかりの人々が、一団となって集まっていたが、ペテロはこれらの兄弟たちの中に立って言った、

「兄弟たちよ、イエスを捕えた者たちの手びきになったユダについては、聖霊がダビデの口をとおして預言したその言葉は、成就しなければならなかった。

彼はわたしたちの仲間に加えられ、この務を授かっていた者であった。

詩篇に、
『その屋敷は荒れ果てよ、
そこにはひとりも住む者がいなくなれ』
と書いてあり、また
『その職は、ほかの者に取らせよ』
とあるとおりである。

そういうわけで、主イエスがわたしたちの間にゆききされた期間中、

すなわち、ヨハネのバプテスマの時から始まって、わたしたちを離れて天に上げられた日に至るまで、始終わたしたちと行動を共にした人たちのうち、だれかひとりが、わたしたちに加わって主の復活の証人にならねばならない」。

そこで一同は、バルサバと呼ばれ、またの名をユストというヨセフと、マッテヤとのふたりを立て、

祈って言った、「すべての人の心をご存じである主よ。このふたりのうちのどちらを選んで、

ユダがこの使徒の職務から落ちて、自分の行くべきところへ行ったそのあとを継がせなさいますか、お示し下さい」。

しかし、主を信じて仲間に加わる者が、男女とも、ますます多くなってきた。

ついには、病人を大通りに運び出し、寝台や寝床の上に置いて、ペテロが通るとき、彼の影なりと、そのうちのだれかにかかるようにしたほどであった。

またエルサレム附近の町々からも、大ぜいの人が、病人や汚れた霊に苦しめられている人たちを引き連れて、集まってきたが、その全部の者が、ひとり残らずいやされた。
5:17
そこで、大祭司とその仲間の者、すなわち、サドカイ派の人たちが、みな嫉妬の念に満たされて立ちあがり、

使徒たちに手をかけて捕え、公共の留置場に入れた。
5:19
ところが夜、主の使が獄の戸を開き、彼らを連れ出して言った、

「さあ行きなさい。そして、宮の庭に立ち、この命の言葉を漏れなく、人々に語りなさい」。

彼らはこれを聞き、夜明けごろ宮にはいって教えはじめた。
一方では、大祭司とその仲間の者とが、集まってきて、議会とイスラエル人の長老一同とを召集し、使徒たちを引き出してこさせるために、人を獄につかわした。
5:22
そこで、下役どもが行って見ると、使徒たちが獄にいないので、引き返して報告した、
5:23
「獄には、しっかりと錠がかけてあり、戸口には、番人が立っていました。ところが、あけて見たら、中にはだれもいませんでした」。
5:24
宮守がしらと祭司長たちとは、この報告を聞いて、これは、いったい、どんな事になるのだろうと、あわて惑っていた。
5:25
そこへ、ある人がきて知らせた、「行ってごらんなさい。あなたがたが獄に入れたあの人たちが、宮の庭に立って、民衆を教えています」。
5:26
そこで宮守がしらが、下役どもと一緒に出かけて行って、使徒たちを連れてきた。しかし、人々に石で打ち殺されるのを恐れて、手荒なことはせず、
5:27
彼らを連れてきて、議会の中に立たせた。すると、大祭司が問うて
5:28
言った、「あの名を使って教えてはならないと、きびしく命じておいたではないか。それだのに、なんという事だ。エルサレム中にあなたがたの教を、はんらんさせている。あなたがたは確かに、あの人の血の責任をわたしたちに負わせようと、たくらんでいるのだ」。
5:29
これに対して、ペテロをはじめ使徒たちは言った、「人間に従うよりは、神に従うべきである。
5:30
わたしたちの先祖の神は、あなたがたが木にかけて殺したイエスをよみがえらせ、
5:31
そして、イスラエルを悔い改めさせてこれに罪のゆるしを与えるために、このイエスを導き手とし救主として、ご自身の右に上げられたのである。
5:32
わたしたちはこれらの事の証人である。神がご自身に従う者に賜わった聖霊もまた、その証人である」。

Gospel : John 15:9-17
9 Even as the Father has loved me, I also have loved you. Remain in my love.
10 If you keep my commandments, you will remain in my love; even as I have kept my Father’s commandments, and remain in his love.
11 I have spoken these things to you, that my joy may remain in you, and that your joy may be made full.
12 “This is my commandment, that you love one another, even as I have loved you.
13 Greater love has no one than this, that someone lay down his life for his friends.
14 You are my friends, if you do whatever I command you.
15 No longer do I call you servants, for the servant doesn’t know what his lord does. But I have called you friends, for everything that I heard from my Father, I have made known to you.
16 You didn’t choose me, but I chose you, and appointed you, that you should go and bear fruit, and that your fruit should remain; that whatever you will ask of the Father in my name, he may give it to you.
17 “I command these things to you, that you may love one another.

12 By the hands of the apostles many signs and wonders were done amongst the people. They were all with one accord in Solomon’s porch.
13 None of the rest dared to join them, however the people honoured them.
14 More believers were added to the Lord, multitudes of both men and women.
15 They even carried out the sick into the streets, and laid them on cots and mattresses, so that as Peter came by, at the least his shadow might overshadow some of them.
16 The multitude also came together from the cities around Jerusalem, bringing sick people, and those who were tormented by unclean spirits: and they were all healed.
17 But the high priest rose up, and all those who were with him (which is the sect of the Sadducees), and they were filled with jealousy,
18 and laid hands on the apostles, and put them in public custody.
19 But an angel of the Lord opened the prison doors by night, and brought them out, and said,
20 “Go stand and speak in the temple to the people all the words of this life.”
21 When they heard this, they entered into the temple about daybreak, and taught. But the high priest came, and those who were with him, and called the council together, and all the senate of the children of Israel, and sent to the prison to have them brought.
22 But the officers who came didn’t find them in the prison. They returned and reported,
23 “We found the prison shut and locked, and the guards standing before the doors, but when we opened them, we found no one inside!”
24 Now when the high priest, the captain of the temple, and the chief priests heard these words, they were very perplexed about them and what might become of this.
25 One came and told them, “Behold, the men whom you put in prison are in the temple, standing and teaching the people.”
26 Then the captain went with the officers, and brought them without violence, for they were afraid that the people might stone them.
27 When they had brought them, they set them before the council. The high priest questioned them,
28 saying, “Didn’t we strictly command you not to teach in this name? Behold, you have filled Jerusalem with your teaching, and intend to bring this man’s blood on us.”
29 But Peter and the apostles answered, “We must obey God rather than men.
30 The God of our fathers raised up Jesus, whom you killed, hanging him on a tree.
31 God exalted him with his right hand to be a Prince and a Saviour, to give repentance to Israel, and remission of sins.
32 We are His witnesses of these things; and so also is the Holy Spirit, whom God has given to those who obey him.”
