☆今日の聖書物語
ルカによる福音 10:25-37
するとそこへ、ある律法学者が現れ、イエスを試みようとして言った、「先生、何をしたら永遠の生命が受けられましょうか」。
彼に言われた、「律法にはなんと書いてあるか。あなたはどう読むか」。
彼は答えて言った、「『心をつくし、精神をつくし、力をつくし、思いをつくして、主なるあなたの神を愛せよ』。また、『自分を愛するように、あなたの隣り人を愛せよ』とあります」。
彼に言われた、「あなたの答は正しい。そのとおり行いなさい。そうすれば、いのちが得られる」。
すると彼は自分の立場を弁護しようと思って、イエスに言った、「では、わたしの隣り人とはだれのことですか」。
イエスが答えて言われた、「ある人がエルサレムからエリコに下って行く途中、強盗どもが彼を襲い、その着物をはぎ取り、傷を負わせ、半殺しにしたまま、逃げ去った。
するとたまたま、ひとりの祭司がその道を下ってきたが、この人を見ると、向こう側を通って行った。
同様に、レビ人もこの場所にさしかかってきたが、彼を見ると向こう側を通って行った。
ところが、あるサマリヤ人が旅をしてこの人のところを通りかかり、彼を見て気の毒に思い、
近寄ってきてその傷にオリブ油とぶどう酒とを注いでほうたいをしてやり、自分の家畜に乗せ、宿屋に連れて行って介抱した。
翌日、デナリ二つを取り出して宿屋の主人に手渡し、『この人を見てやってください。費用がよけいにかかったら、帰りがけに、わたしが支払います』と言った。
この三人のうち、だれが強盗に襲われた人の隣り人になったと思うか」。
彼が言った、「その人に慈悲深い行いをした人です」。そこでイエスは言われた、「あなたも行って同じようにしなさい」。

☆今日の『み言葉』
ルカによる福音 10:25-37
喩え話しに表されている、１世紀当時のユダヤ社会の背景を見てみましょう。ユダヤの地を往還し、油・ぶどう酒・包帯をも携帯する。更に二デナリオン（二日分の給料）を、いとも簡単に支払ってしまうこのサマリア人は、商人であった事が伺えます。当時、商人と呼ばれる人々の多くは、消費者を「食い物」とし、商売の上で裕福を享受したため、庶民達からは「泥棒」呼ばわりされ、蔑視されていた職業だったようです。確かに商品に値札などが貼ってあるのでもなく、同じ商品でも「あちらの方が安い」と言う情報も未発達の御時勢ですから、商品価値など幾らでも操作出来たからでしょう。それだけに、イエスが語った喩え話しを聞いていた「群集」と呼ばれる庶民たち（＝農民階層の人々）が、この喩え話しを聞いても共感を得るのが難しかったと思われます。しかも「隣人になった」その人は、ユダヤ人たちが劣等民族と蔑んでいたサマリア人でもあったからです。逆に庶民層の共感は「追いはぎ」の方に向けられた可能性があります。それは、当時の農民達は地主階級に支配されていた小作人だったからです。その地主によって土地を奪われ、土地を失った小作農民のなりの果\xA4
討❶崢匹い呂\xAE」となっていったケースも多かったのです。
それだけに、今日の喩え話で人々が驚嘆したターニングポイントは、劣等民族のレッテルを貼っていたサマリア人がユダヤ人を助けたというよりも、卑しい職業として蔑視し、「泥棒」呼ばわりしていた商人が、すぐ目の前に自分の助けを必要とする人へ、「寛大」と同情に溢れた行為を示したところです。「隣人とは誰？」ではなく、「隣人になる！」とは、民族や身分・職業などの世間体からする行為ではなく、すぐ目の前の状況に対して、自分自身の持ちものや自分自身の手を差し出すかどうかです。律法学者たちはイエスに対して「質疑」によって挑戦を挑みますが、イエス御自身は「行動せよ」という更なる挑戦によって彼らにも、そして今を生きる私たちにも応答を促しています。

主の言葉がアミッタイの子ヨナに臨んで言った、

「立って、あの大きな町ニネベに行き、これに向かって呼ばわれ。彼らの悪がわたしの前に上ってきたからである」。

しかしヨナは主の前を離れてタルシシへのがれようと、立ってヨッパに下って行った。ところがちょうど、タルシシへ行く船があったので、船賃を払い、主の前を離れて、人々と共にタルシシへ行こうと船に乗った。
1:4
時に、主は大風を海の上に起されたので、船が破れるほどの激しい暴風が海の上にあった。
1:5
それで水夫たちは恐れて、めいめい自分の神を呼び求め、また船を軽くするため、その中の積み荷を海に投げ捨てた。しかし、ヨナは船の奥に下り、伏して熟睡していた。
1:6
そこで船長は来て、彼に言った、「あなたはどうして眠っているのか。起きて、あなたの神に呼ばわりなさい。神があるいは、われわれを顧みて、助けてくださるだろう」。
1:7
やがて人々は互に言った、「この災がわれわれに臨んだのは、だれのせいか知るために、さあ、くじを引いてみよう」。そして彼らが、くじを引いたところ、くじはヨナに当った。
1:8
そこで人々はヨナに言った、「この災がだれのせいで、われわれに臨んだのか、われわれに告げなさい。あなたの職業は何か。あなたはどこから来たのか。あなたの国はどこか。あなたはどこの民か」。

ヨナは彼らに言った、「わたしはヘブルびとです。わたしは海と陸とをお造りになった天の神、主を恐れる者です」。

そこで人々ははなはだしく恐れて、彼に言った、「あなたはなんたる事をしてくれたのか」。人々は彼がさきに彼らに告げた事によって、彼が主の前を離れて、のがれようとしていた事を知っていたからである。
1:11
人々は彼に言った、「われわれのために海が静まるには、あなたをどうしたらよかろうか」。それは海がますます荒れてきたからである。
1:12
ヨナは彼らに言った、「わたしを取って海に投げ入れなさい。そうしたら海は、あなたがたのために静まるでしょう。わたしにはよくわかっています。この激しい暴風があなたがたに臨んだのは、わたしのせいです」。
1:13
しかし人々は船を陸にこぎもどそうとつとめたが、成功しなかった。それは海が彼らに逆らって、いよいよ荒れたからである。
1:14
そこで人々は主に呼ばわって言った、「主よ、どうぞ、この人の生命のために、われわれを滅ぼさないでください。また罪なき血を、われわれに帰しないでください。主よ、これはみ心に従って、なされた事だからです」。
1:15
そして彼らはヨナを取って海に投げ入れた。すると海の荒れるのがやんだ。

そこで人々は大いに主を恐れ、犠牲を主にささげて、誓願を立てた。
1:17
主は大いなる魚を備えて、ヨナをのませられた。ヨナは三日三夜その魚の腹の中にいた。

ヨナは魚の腹の中からその神、主に祈った、

主は魚にお命じになったので、魚はヨナを陸に吐き出した。

主は言われる、
「そむける子らはわざわいだ、
彼らは計りごとを行うけれども、
わたしによってではない。
彼らは同盟を結ぶけれども、
わが霊によってではない、
罪に罪を加えるためだ。
30:2
彼らはわが言葉を求めず、
エジプトへ下っていって、パロの保護にたより、
エジプトの陰に隠れようとする。
30:3
それゆえ、パロの保護は
かえってあなたがたの恥となり、
エジプトの陰に隠れることは
あなたがたのはずかしめとなる。
30:4
たとい、彼の君たちがゾアンにあり、
彼の使者たちがハネスに来ても、
30:5
彼らは皆おのれを益することのできない民により、
すなわち助けとならず、益とならず、
かえって恥となり、はずかしめとなる民によって、
恥をかくからである」。
30:6
ネゲブの獣についての託宣。
彼らはその富を若いろばの背に負わせ、
その宝をらくだの背に負わせて、
雌じし、雄じし、まむしおよび飛びかけるへびの出る
悩みと苦しみの国を通って、
おのれを益することのできない民に行く。
30:7
そのエジプトの助けは無益であって、むなしい。
それゆえ、わたしはこれを
「休んでいるラハブ」と呼んだ。
30:8
いま行って、これを彼らの前で札にしるし、
書物に載せ、
後の世に伝えて、とこしえにあかしとせよ。
30:9
彼らはそむける民、偽りを言う子ら、
主の教を聞こうとしない子らだ。
30:10
彼らは先見者にむかって「見るな」と言い、
預言者にむかっては
「正しい事をわれわれに預言するな、
耳に聞きよいことを語れ、迷わしごとを預言せよ。
30:11
大路を去り、小路をはなれ、
イスラエルの聖者について語り聞かすな」と言う。
30:12
それゆえ、イスラエルの聖者はこう言われる、
「あなたがたはこの言葉を侮り、
しえたげと、よこしまとを頼み、
これにたよるがゆえに、
30:13
この不義はあなたがたには
突き出て、くずれ落ちようとする高い石がきの
破れのようであって、
その倒壊はにわかに、またたくまに来る。
30:14
その破れることは陶器師の器を破るように
惜しむことなく打ち砕き、
その砕けのなかには、炉から火を取り、
池から水をくめるほどの、ひとかけらさえ
見いだされない」。
30:15
主なる神、イスラエルの聖者はこう言われた、
「あなたがたは立ち返って、
落ち着いているならば救われ、
穏やかにして信頼しているならば力を得る」。
しかし、あなたがたはこの事を好まなかった。
30:16
かえって、あなたがたは言った、
「否、われわれは馬に乗って、とんで行こう」と。
それゆえ、あなたがたはとんで帰る。また言った、
「われらは速い馬に乗ろう」と。
それゆえ、あなたがたを追う者は速い。
30:17
ひとりの威嚇によって千人は逃げ、
五人の威嚇によってあなたがたは逃げて、
その残る者はわずかに
山の頂にある旗ざおのように、
丘の上にある旗のようになる。
30:18
それゆえ、主は待っていて、
あなたがたに恵を施される。
それゆえ、主は立ちあがって、
あなたがたをあわれまれる。
主は公平の神でいらせられる。
すべて主を待ち望む者はさいわいである。

Gospel: Luke 10:25-37
25 Behold, a certain lawyer stood up and tested him, saying, “Teacher, what shall I do to inherit eternal life?”
26 He said to him, “What is written in the law? How do you read it?”
27 He answered, “You shall love the Lord your God with all your heart, with all your soul, with all your strength, and with all your mind;☆ and your neighbour as yourself.”☆
28 He said to him, “You have answered correctly. Do this, and you will live.”
29 But he, desiring to justify himself, asked Jesus, “Who is my neighbour?”
30 Jesus answered, “A certain man was going down from Jerusalem to Jericho, and he fell amongst robbers, who both stripped him and beat him, and departed, leaving him half dead.
31 By chance a certain priest was going down that way. When he saw him, he passed by on the other side.
32 In the same way a Levite also, when he came to the place, and saw him, passed by on the other side.
33 But a certain Samaritan, as he travelled, came where he was. When he saw him, he was moved with compassion,
34 came to him, and bound up his wounds, pouring on oil and wine. He set him on his own animal, and brought him to an inn, and took care of him.

1:1 Now the LORD’s* word came to Jonah the son of Amittai, saying,
2 “Arise, go to Nineveh, that great city, and preach against it, for their wickedness has come up before me.”
3 But Jonah rose up to flee to Tarshish from the presence of the LORD. He went down to Joppa, and found a ship going to Tarshish; so he paid its fare, and went down into it, to go with them to Tarshish from the presence of the LORD.
4 But the LORD sent out a great wind on the sea, and there was a mighty storm on the sea, so that the ship was likely to break up.
5 Then the mariners were afraid, and every man cried to his god. They threw the cargo that was in the ship into the sea to lighten the ship. But Jonah had gone down into the innermost parts of the ship, and he was laying down, and was fast asleep.
6 So the ship master came to him, and said to him, “What do you mean, sleeper? Arise, call on your God!† Maybe your God‡ will notice us, so that we won’t perish.”
7 They all said to each other, “Come, let us cast lots, that we may know who is responsible for this evil that is on us.” So they cast lots, and the lot fell on Jonah.
8 Then they asked him, “Tell us, please, for whose cause this evil is on us. What is your occupation? Where do you come from? What is your country? Of what people are you?”
9 He said to them, “I am a Hebrew, and I fear the LORD, the God§ of heaven, who has made the sea and the dry land.”
10 Then were the men exceedingly afraid, and said to him, “What is this that you have done?” For the men knew that he was fleeing from the presence of the LORD, because he had told them.
11 Then they said to him, “What shall we do to you, that the sea may be calm to us?” For the sea grew more and more stormy.
12 He said to them, “Take me up, and throw me into the sea. Then the sea will be calm for you; for I know that because of me this great storm is on you.”
13 Nevertheless the men rowed hard to get them back to the land; but they could not, for the sea grew more and more stormy against them.
14 Therefore they cried to the LORD, and said, “We beg you, LORD, we beg you, don’t let us die for this man’s life, and don’t lay on us innocent blood; for you, LORD, have done as it pleased you.”
15 So they took up Jonah, and threw him into the sea; and the sea ceased its raging.
16 Then the men feared the LORD exceedingly; and they offered a sacrifice to the LORD, and made vows.
17 The LORD prepared a great fish to swallow up Jonah, and Jonah was in the belly of the fish three days and three nights.
2:1 Then Jonah prayed to the LORD, his God, out of the fish’s belly.
10 The LORD spoke to the fish, and it vomited out Jonah on the dry land.

25 Behold, a certain lawyer stood up and tested him, saying, “Teacher, what shall I do to inherit eternal life?”
26 He said to him, “What is written in the law? How do you read it?”
27 He answered, “You shall love the Lord your God with all your heart, with all your soul, with all your strength, and with all your mind;☆ and your neighbour as yourself.”☆
28 He said to him, “You have answered correctly. Do this, and you will live.”
29 But he, desiring to justify himself, asked Jesus, “Who is my neighbour?”
30 Jesus answered, “A certain man was going down from Jerusalem to Jericho, and he fell amongst robbers, who both stripped him and beat him, and departed, leaving him half dead.
31 By chance a certain priest was going down that way. When he saw him, he passed by on the other side.
32 In the same way a Levite also, when he came to the place, and saw him, passed by on the other side.
33 But a certain Samaritan, as he travelled, came where he was. When he saw him, he was moved with compassion,
34 came to him, and bound up his wounds, pouring on oil and wine. He set him on his own animal, and brought him to an inn, and took care of him.
