☆今日の聖書物語 *
ヨハネによる福音 7:1-2, 10, 25-30
そののち、イエスはガリラヤを巡回しておられた。ユダヤ人たちが自分を殺そうとしていたので、ユダヤを巡回しようとはされなかった。
時に、ユダヤ人の仮庵の祭が近づいていた。
しかし、兄弟たちが祭に行ったあとで、イエスも人目にたたぬように、ひそかに行かれた。
さて、エルサレムのある人たちが言った、「この人は人々が殺そうと思っている者ではないか。
見よ、彼は公然と語っているのに、人々はこれに対して何も言わない。役人たちは、この人がキリストであることを、ほんとうに知っているのではなかろうか。
わたしたちはこの人がどこからきたのか知っている。しかし、キリストが現れる時には、どこから来るのか知っている者は、ひとりもいない」。
イエスは宮の内で教えながら、叫んで言われた、「あなたがたは、わたしを知っており、また、わたしがどこからきたかも知っている。しかし、わたしは自分からきたのではない。わたしをつかわされたかたは真実であるが、あなたがたは、そのかたを知らない。
わたしは、そのかたを知っている。わたしはそのかたのもとからきた者で、そのかたがわたしをつかわされたのである」。
そこで人々はイエスを捕えようと計ったが、だれひとり手をかける者はなかった。イエスの時が、まだきていなかったからである。

☆今日の『み言葉』
ヨハネによる福音 7:1-2, 10, 25-30
ヨハネ福音書の７章にエルサレムに向かうイエスについて次のように書かれています。「イエスはガリラヤを巡っておられた。ユダヤ人が殺そうとねらっていたので、ユダヤを巡ろうとは思われなかった」(7.1)。「しかし、兄弟たちが祭りに上って行った時、イエスご自身も、人目を避け、隠れるようにしてエルサレムへ上って行かれた」(7.10)。
イエスは臆病だったのでしょうか？そうではない、時を見極める賢明な行為だったのです。「イエスの時はまだ来ていなかったからである」（7.30）。勇気も一歩間違えば無謀となります。人生に大切な三つのことがあります。愛･勇気・賢明です。賢明がなければ何をやっても調和を乱し、目的を達成することが出来ません。

わたしは、そのかたを知っている。わたしはそのかたのもとからきた者で、そのかたがわたしをつかわされたのである」。

そこで人々はイエスを捕えようと計ったが、だれひとり手をかける者はなかった。イエスの時が、まだきていなかったからである。

知恵の書 2:1a, 12-22
2章1節a
彼らはこう言い合うが、その考えは誤っている。
2章12節
神に従う人は邪魔だから、だまして陥れよう。我々のすることに反対し、律法に背くといって我々をとがめ教訓に反するといって非難するのだから。
2章13節
神に従う人は、神を知っていると公言し、自らを主の僕と呼んでいる。
2章14節
彼らの存在は我々の考えをとがめだてる。だから、見るだけで気が重くなる。
2章15節
その生き方が他の者とは異なり、その行動も変わっているからだ。
2章16節
我々を偽り者と見なし、汚れを避けるかのように我々の道を遠ざかる。神に従う人の最期は幸せだと言い、神が自分の父であると豪語する。
2章17節
それなら彼の言葉が真実かどうか見てやろう。生涯の終わりに何が起こるかを確かめよう。
2章18節
本当に彼が神の子なら、助けてもらえるはずだ。敵の手から救い出されるはずだ。
2章19節
暴力と責め苦を加えて彼を試してみよう。その寛容ぶりを知るために、悪への忍耐ぶりを試みるために。
2章20節
彼を不名誉な死に追いやろう。彼の言葉どおりなら、神の助けがあるはずだ。」
2章21節
神を信じない者はこのように考える。だが、それは間違っている。悪に目がくらんでいるのだ。
2章22節
彼らは神の奥深い御旨を知らず、清い生活がもたらす報いを期待せず、汚れない魂の受ける誉れをも認めない。

Gospel : John 7:1-2, 10, 25-30
1 After these things, Jesus was walking in Galilee, for he wouldn’t walk in Judea, because the Jews sought to kill him.
2 Now the feast of the Jews, the Feast of Booths, was at hand.
10 But when his brothers had gone up to the feast, then he also went up, not publicly, but as it were in secret.
25 Therefore some of them of Jerusalem said, “Isn’t this he whom they seek to kill?
26 Behold, he speaks openly, and they say nothing to him. Can it be that the rulers indeed know that this is truly the Christ?
27 However we know where this man comes from, but when the Christ comes, no one will know where he comes from.”
28 Jesus therefore cried out in the temple, teaching and saying, “You both know me, and know where I am from. I have not come of myself, but he who sent me is true, whom you don’t know.
29 I know him, because I am from him, and he sent me.”
30 They sought therefore to take him; but no one laid a hand on him, because his hour had not yet come.

Wisdom of Solomon 2:1a, 12-22
1a For they said * within themselves, reasoning not aright,
12 But let us lie in wait for the righteous man,
Because he is of disservice to us,
And is contrary to our works,
And upbraids us with sins against §§§ the law,
And lays to our charge sins against our discipline.
13 He professes to have knowledge of God,
And names himself * servant of the Lord.
14 He became to us a reproof of our thoughts.
15 He is grievous to us even to behold,
Because his life is unlike other men’s,
And his paths are of strange fashion.
16 We were accounted of him as base metal,
And he abstains from our ways as from uncleannesses.
The latter end of the righteous he calls happy;
And he vaunts that God is his father.
17 Let us see if his words be true,
And let us try what shall befall in the ending of his life.
18 For if the righteous man is God’s son, he will uphold him,
And he will deliver him out of the hand of his adversaries.
19 With outrage and torture let us put him to the test,
That we may learn his gentleness,
And may prove his patience under wrong.
20 Let us condemn him to a shameful death;
For † he shall be visited according to his words.
21 Thus reasoned they, and they were led astray;
For their ‡ wickedness blinded them,
22 And they knew not the mysteries of God,
Neither hoped they for wages of holiness,
Nor did they judge that there is a prize for blameless souls.
