ルカによる福音 9:51-62
さて、イエスが天に上げられる日が近づいたので、エルサレムへ行こうと決意して、その方へ顔をむけられ、
自分に先立って使者たちをおつかわしになった。そして彼らがサマリヤ人の村へはいって行き、イエスのために準備をしようとしたところ、
村人は、エルサレムへむかって進んで行かれるというので、イエスを歓迎しようとはしなかった。
弟子のヤコブとヨハネとはそれを見て言った、「主よ、いかがでしょう。彼らを焼き払ってしまうように、天から火をよび求めましょうか」。
イエスは振りかえって、彼らをおしかりになった。
そして一同はほかの村へ行った。
道を進んで行くと、ある人がイエスに言った、「あなたがおいでになる所ならどこへでも従ってまいります」。
イエスはその人に言われた、「きつねには穴があり、空の鳥には巣がある。しかし、人の子にはまくらする所がない」。
またほかの人に、「わたしに従ってきなさい」と言われた。するとその人が言った、「まず、父を葬りに行かせてください」。
彼に言われた、「その死人を葬ることは、死人に任せておくがよい。あなたは、出て行って神の国を告げひろめなさい」。
またほかの人が言った、「主よ、従ってまいりますが、まず家の者に別れを言いに行かせてください」。
イエスは言われた、「手をすきにかけてから、うしろを見る者は、神の国にふさわしくないものである」。

さてエリヤはそこを去って行って、シャパテの子エリシャに会った。彼は十二くびきの牛を前に行かせ、自分は十二番目のくびきと共にいて耕していた。エリヤは彼のかたわらを通り過ぎて外套を彼の上にかけた。

エリシャは牛を捨て、エリヤのあとに走ってきて言った、「わたしの父母に口づけさせてください。そして後あなたに従いましょう」。エリヤは彼に言った、「行ってきなさい。わたしはあなたに何をしましたか」。

ガラテヤ人への手紙 5:1, 13-18

自由を得させるために、キリストはわたしたちを解放して下さったのである。だから、堅く立って、二度と奴隷のくびきにつながれてはならない。

兄弟たちよ。あなたがたが召されたのは、実に、自由を得るためである。ただ、その自由を、肉の働く機会としないで、愛をもって互に仕えなさい。
5:14
律法の全体は、「自分を愛するように、あなたの隣り人を愛せよ」というこの一句に尽きるからである。
5:15
気をつけるがよい。もし互にかみ合い、食い合っているなら、あなたがたは互に滅ぼされてしまうだろう。
5:16
わたしは命じる、御霊によって歩きなさい。そうすれば、決して肉の欲を満たすことはない。
5:17
なぜなら、肉の欲するところは御霊に反し、また御霊の欲するところは肉に反するからである。こうして、二つのものは互に相さからい、その結果、あなたがたは自分でしようと思うことを、することができないようになる。
5:18
もしあなたがたが御霊に導かれるなら、律法の下にはいない。

Gospel: Luke 9:51-62
51 It came to pass, when the days were near that he should be taken up, he intently set his face to go to Jerusalem,
52 and sent messengers before his face. They went, and entered into a village of the Samaritans, so as to prepare for him.
53 They didn’t receive him, because he was travelling with his face set towards Jerusalem.
54 When his disciples, James and John, saw this, they said, “Lord, do you want us to command fire to come down from the sky, and destroy them, just as Elijah did?”
55 But he turned and rebuked them, “You don’t know of what kind of spirit you are.
56 For the Son of Man didn’t come to destroy men’s lives, but to save them.”
They went to another village.
57 As they went on the way, a certain man said to him, “I want to follow you wherever you go, Lord.”
58 Jesus said to him, “The foxes have holes, and the birds of the sky have nests, but the Son of Man has no place to lay his head.”
59 He said to another, “Follow me!”
But he said, “Lord, allow me first to go and bury my father.”
60 But Jesus said to him, “Leave the dead to bury their own dead, but you go and announce God’s Kingdom.”
61 Another also said, “I want to follow you, Lord, but first allow me to say good-bye to those who are at my house.”
62 But Jesus said to him, “No one, having put his hand to the plough, and looking back, is fit for God’s Kingdom.”

16b (and) anoint Elisha the son of Shaphat of Abel Meholah to be prophet in your place.
19 So he departed from there, and found Elisha the son of Shaphat, who was ploughing with twelve yoke of oxen before him, and he with the twelfth. Elijah went over to him, and put his mantle on him.
20 Elisha left the oxen, and ran after Elijah, and said, “Let me please kiss my father and my mother, and then I will follow you.”
He said to him, “Go back again; for what have I done to you?”
21 He returned from following him, and took the yoke of oxen, and killed them, and boiled their meat with the instruments of the oxen, and gave to the people, and they ate. Then he arose, and went after Elijah, and served him.

Galatians 5:1, 13-18
1 Stand firm therefore in the liberty by which Christ has made us free, and don’t be entangled again with a yoke of bondage.
13 For you, brothers, were called for freedom. Only don’t use your freedom for gain to the flesh, but through love be servants to one another.
14 For the whole law is fulfilled in one word, in this: “You shall love your neighbour as yourself.”☆
15 But if you bite and devour one another, be careful that you don’t consume one another.
16 But I say, walk by the Spirit, and you won’t fulfil the lust of the flesh.
17 For the flesh lusts against the Spirit, and the Spirit against the flesh; and these are contrary to one another, that you may not do the things that you desire.
18 But if you are led by the Spirit, you are not under the law.

☆今日の聖書物語 *
マタイによる福音 16:13-19
イエスがピリポ・カイザリヤの地方に行かれたとき、弟子たちに尋ねて言われた、「人々は人の子をだれと言っているか」。
彼らは言った、「ある人々はバプテスマのヨハネだと言っています。しかし、ほかの人たちは、エリヤだと言い、また、エレミヤあるいは預言者のひとりだ、と言っている者もあります」。
そこでイエスは彼らに言われた、「それでは、あなたがたはわたしをだれと言うか」。
シモン・ペテロが答えて言った、「あなたこそ、生ける神の子キリストです」。
すると、イエスは彼にむかって言われた、「バルヨナ・シモン、あなたはさいわいである。あなたにこの事をあらわしたのは、血肉ではなく、天にいますわたしの父である。
そこで、わたしもあなたに言う。あなたはペテロである。そして、わたしはこの岩の上にわたしの教会を建てよう。黄泉の力もそれに打ち勝つことはない。
わたしは、あなたに天国のかぎを授けよう。そして、あなたが地上でつなぐことは、天でもつながれ、あなたが地上で解くことは天でも解かれるであろう」。

☆今日の『み言葉』
マタイによる福音 16:13-19
ペトロとパウロ。使徒たちの中でも特に偉大な使徒としてお祝いされる二人。彼らの偉大さはどこにあるのでしょう。
ペトロは、衝動的性格が特徴的で、イエス様からは時に褒められたり、時に叱責を受けたり、そばにいたかと思うと逃げたり、嘘をついたりとお調子者の弱い人でした。パウロは、学歴のある熱心なユダヤ教徒であり、キリスト教徒を激しく迫害するもので、「罪人の中の罪人」でした。
彼らは使徒としては正直ふさわしくはないと思われても仕方がない者たちでした。でも彼らはそんな自分たちの弱さや過ちに気付き、深く受け止め、よく自覚していたわけです。これが彼らの聖性の源だったのです。自分の弱さ、罪深さを知り、気付き、認め、受け入れることによって彼らの霊性は磨かれていき、教会をリードする偉大な使徒に成長したわけです。そして最後には自分の命を捧げてまでも証しに努めたのです。ここに彼らの偉大さがあり、「私は弱い時にこそ強いのである。」というパウロ自身の言葉に納得するわけです。
わたしたちも現代に生きるキリストの弟子・使徒。優れた人間だからではありません。いろんな弱さがあります。相変わらず罪を犯します。時にそんな自分に寂しさを覚えます。いいのです。自分の弱さを素直に認め受け入れましょう。目をそらさず自覚し、赦しを願いましょう。それによって、こんな弱い自分を愛してくださる神様の愛の大きさにより気付いていけるのです。そしてその愛に促されて私たちの霊性は磨かれていくのです。使徒として成長していけるのです。
逆に私たちは、自分が弱い人間であること、罪びとであることから目をそらし、忘れる時、自分の聖性、霊性が失われていくのでしょう。
聖ペトロと聖パウロの偉大さを称え、彼らの取り次ぎによって私たちも使徒として強められるように祈りましょう。

ペトロとパウロ。使徒たちの中でも特に偉大な使徒としてお祝いされる二人。彼らの偉大さはどこにあるのでしょう。
ペトロは、衝動的性格が特徴的で、イエス様からは時に褒められたり、時に叱責を受けたり、そばにいたかと思うと逃げたり、嘘をついたりとお調子者の弱い人でした。パウロは、学歴のある熱心なユダヤ教徒であり、キリスト教徒を激しく迫害するもので、「罪人の中の罪人」でした。
彼らは使徒としては正直ふさわしくはないと思われても仕方がない者たちでした。でも彼らはそんな自分たちの弱さや過ちに気付き、深く受け止め、よく自覚していたわけです。これが彼らの聖性の源だったのです。自分の弱さ、罪深さを知り、気付き、認め、受け入れることによって彼らの霊性は磨かれていき、教会をリードする偉大な使徒に成長したわけです。そして最後には自分の命を捧げてまでも証しに努めたのです。ここに彼らの偉大さがあり、「私は弱い時にこそ強いのである。」というパウロ自身の言葉に納得するわけです。
わたしたちも現代に生きるキリストの弟子・使徒。優れた人間だからではありません。いろんな弱さがあります。相変わらず罪を犯します。時にそんな自分に寂しさを覚えます。いいのです。自分の弱さを素直に認め受け入れましょう。目をそらさず自覚し、赦しを願いましょう。それによって、こんな弱い自分を愛してくださる神様の愛の大きさにより気付いていけるのです。そしてその愛に促されて私たちの霊性は磨かれていくのです。使徒として成長していけるのです。
逆に私たちは、自分が弱い人間であること、罪びとであることから目をそらし、忘れる時、自分の聖性、霊性が失われていくのでしょう。
聖ペトロと聖パウロの偉大さを称え、彼らの取り次ぎによって私たちも使徒として強められるように祈りましょう。

Gospel : Matthew 16:13-19
13 Now when Jesus came into the parts of Caesarea Philippi, he asked his disciples, saying, “Who do men say that I, the Son of Man, am?”
14 They said, “Some say John the Baptiser, some, Elijah, and others, Jeremiah, or one of the prophets.”
15 He said to them, “But who do you say that I am?”
16 Simon Peter answered, “You are the Christ, the Son of the living God.”
17 Jesus answered him, “Blessed are you, Simon Bar Jonah, for flesh and blood has not revealed this to you, but my Father who is in heaven.
18 I also tell you that you are Peter,* and on this rock † I will build my assembly, and the gates of Hades‡ will not prevail against it.
19 I will give to you the keys of the Kingdom of Heaven, and whatever you bind on earth will have been bound in heaven; and whatever you release on earth will have been released in heaven.”
*16:18: Peter’s name, Petros in Greek, is the word for a specific rock or stone.

1 Now about that time, King Herod stretched out his hands to oppress some of the assembly.
2 He killed James, the brother of John, with the sword.
3 When he saw that it pleased the Jews, he proceeded to seize Peter also. This was during the days of unleavened bread.
4 When he had arrested him, he put him in prison, and delivered him to four squads of four soldiers each to guard him, intending to bring him out to the people after the Passover.
5 Peter therefore was kept in the prison, but constant prayer was made by the assembly to God for him.
6 The same night when Herod was about to bring him out, Peter was sleeping between two soldiers, bound with two chains. Guards in front of the door kept the prison.
7 And behold, an angel of the Lord stood by him, and a light shone in the cell. He struck Peter on the side, and woke him up, saying, “Stand up quickly!” His chains fell off from his hands.
8 The angel said to him, “Get dressed and put on your sandals.” He did so. He said to him, “Put on your cloak, and follow me.”
9 And he went out and followed him. He didn’t know that what was being done by the angel was real, but thought he saw a vision.
10 When they were past the first and the second guard, they came to the iron gate that leads into the city, which opened to them by itself. They went out, and went down one street, and immediately the angel departed from him.
11 When Peter had come to himself, he said, “Now I truly know that the Lord has sent out his angel and delivered me out of the hand of Herod, and from everything the Jewish people were expecting.”

6 For I am already being offered, and the time of my departure has come.
7 I have fought the good fight. I have finished the course. I have kept the faith.
8 From now on, there is stored up for me the crown of righteousness, which the Lord, the righteous judge, will give to me on that day; and not to me only, but also to all those who have loved his appearing.
17 But the Lord stood by me, and strengthened me, that through me the message might be fully proclaimed, and that all the Gentiles might hear; and I was delivered out of the mouth of the lion.

そこでイエスは彼らに、この譬をお話しになった、
「あなたがたのうちに、百匹の羊を持っている者がいたとする。その一匹がいなくなったら、九十九匹を野原に残しておいて、いなくなった一匹を見つけるまでは捜し歩かないであろうか。
そして見つけたら、喜んでそれを自分の肩に乗せ、
家に帰ってきて友人や隣り人を呼び集め、『わたしと一緒に喜んでください。いなくなった羊を見つけましたから』と言うであろう。
よく聞きなさい。それと同じように、罪人がひとりでも悔い改めるなら、悔改めを必要としない九十九人の正しい人のためにもまさる大きいよろこびが、天にあるであろう。

そんな優しい大きな愛にふれるとき、感謝の思いを抱くと同時に、自分の小ささを知る。まだまだ人を十分に愛せない自分の姿に気付かされる。

そこでイエスは彼らに、この譬をお話しになった、

「あなたがたのうちに、百匹の羊を持っている者がいたとする。その一匹がいなくなったら、九十九匹を野原に残しておいて、いなくなった一匹を見つけるまでは捜し歩かないであろうか。
15:5
そして見つけたら、喜んでそれを自分の肩に乗せ、
15:6
家に帰ってきて友人や隣り人を呼び集め、『わたしと一緒に喜んでください。いなくなった羊を見つけましたから』と言うであろう。

Gospel : Luke 15:3-7
3 He told them this parable.
4 “Which of you men, if you had one hundred sheep, and lost one of them, wouldn’t leave the ninety-nine in the wilderness, and go after the one that was lost, until he found it?
5 When he has found it, he carries it on his shoulders, rejoicing.
6 When he comes home, he calls together his friends and his neighbours, saying to them, ‘Rejoice with me, for I have found my sheep which was lost!’
7 I tell you that even so there will be more joy in heaven over one sinner who repents, than over ninety-nine righteous people who need no repentance.

Ezekiel 34:11-16
11 For thus says the Lord GOD: Behold, I myself, even I, will search for my sheep, and will seek them out.
12 As a shepherd seeks out his flock in the day that he is amongst his sheep that are scattered abroad, so will I seek out my sheep; and I will deliver them out of all places where they have been scattered in the cloudy and dark day.
13 I will bring them out from the peoples, and gather them from the countries, and will bring them into their own land; and I will feed them on the mountains of Israel, by the watercourses, and in all the inhabited places of the country.
14 I will feed them with good pasture; and on the mountains of the height of Israel shall their fold be: there shall they lie down in a good fold; and on fat pasture shall they feed on the mountains of Israel.
15 I myself will be the shepherd of my sheep, and I will cause them to lie down, says the Lord GOD.
16 I will seek that which was lost, and will bring back that which was driven away, and will bind up that which was broken, and will strengthen that which was sick: but the fat and the strong I will destroy; I will feed them in justice.

5b God’s love has been poured out into our hearts through the Holy Spirit who was given to us.
6 For while we were yet weak, at the right time Christ died for the ungodly.
7 For one will hardly die for a righteous man. Yet perhaps for a righteous person someone would even dare to die.
8 But God commends his own love towards us, in that while we were yet sinners, Christ died for us.
9 Much more then, being now justified by his blood, we will be saved from God’s wrath through him.
10 For if, while we were enemies, we were reconciled to God through the death of his Son, much more, being reconciled, we will be saved by his life.
11 Not only so, but we also rejoice in God through our Lord Jesus Christ, through whom we have now received the reconciliation.

わたしにむかって『主よ、主よ』と言う者が、みな天国にはいるのではなく、ただ、天にいますわが父の御旨を行う者だけが、はいるのである。
その日には、多くの者が、わたしにむかって『主よ、主よ、わたしたちはあなたの名によって預言したではありませんか。また、あなたの名によって悪霊を追い出し、あなたの名によって多くの力あるわざを行ったではありませんか』と言うであろう。
そのとき、わたしは彼らにはっきり、こう言おう、『あなたがたを全く知らない。不法を働く者どもよ、行ってしまえ』。
それで、わたしのこれらの言葉を聞いて行うものを、岩の上に自分の家を建てた賢い人に比べることができよう。
雨が降り、洪水が押し寄せ、風が吹いてその家に打ちつけても、倒れることはない。岩を土台としているからである。
また、わたしのこれらの言葉を聞いても行わない者を、砂の上に自分の家を建てた愚かな人に比べることができよう。
雨が降り、洪水が押し寄せ、風が吹いてその家に打ちつけると、倒れてしまう。そしてその倒れ方はひどいのである」。
イエスがこれらの言を語り終えられると、群衆はその教にひどく驚いた。
それは律法学者たちのようにではなく、権威ある者のように、教えられたからである。

イエスの言葉に触れた者には、２つの道がある。それを受け入れるか、それとも受け入れないか。多くの場合、すばらしい教えだと思いつつも心の中にとどまらず、私たちを変えることがない。イエスの言葉を受け入れるとは、確かに硬くて抵抗もあるかもしれないが、しっかりした岩盤に自分の基礎として、イエスの言葉を打ち込むことなのかもしれない。鉄の杭でも、打ち込む場所が固ければ何度も何度も金づちで打ち込む。イエスの言葉の杭も、一回だけではなく何度も何度も、私の心の基礎に打ち込むべきであろう。

アブラムの妻サライは子を産まなかった。彼女にひとりのつかえめがあった。エジプトの女で名をハガルといった。
16:2
サライはアブラムに言った、「主はわたしに子をお授けになりません。どうぞ、わたしのつかえめの所におはいりください。彼女によってわたしは子をもつことになるでしょう」。アブラムはサライの言葉を聞きいれた。
16:3
アブラムの妻サライはそのつかえめエジプトの女ハガルをとって、夫アブラムに妻として与えた。これはアブラムがカナンの地に十年住んだ後であった。
16:4
彼はハガルの所にはいり、ハガルは子をはらんだ。彼女は自分のはらんだのを見て、女主人を見下げるようになった。
16:5
そこでサライはアブラムに言った、「わたしが受けた害はあなたの責任です。わたしのつかえめをあなたのふところに与えたのに、彼女は自分のはらんだのを見て、わたしを見下さげます。どうか、主があなたとわたしの間をおさばきになるように」。

わたしにむかって『主よ、主よ』と言う者が、みな天国にはいるのではなく、ただ、天にいますわが父の御旨を行う者だけが、はいるのである。
7:22
その日には、多くの者が、わたしにむかって『主よ、主よ、わたしたちはあなたの名によって預言したではありませんか。また、あなたの名によって悪霊を追い出し、あなたの名によって多くの力あるわざを行ったではありませんか』と言うであろう。
7:23
そのとき、わたしは彼らにはっきり、こう言おう、『あなたがたを全く知らない。不法を働く者どもよ、行ってしまえ』。
7:24
それで、わたしのこれらの言葉を聞いて行うものを、岩の上に自分の家を建てた賢い人に比べることができよう。
7:25
雨が降り、洪水が押し寄せ、風が吹いてその家に打ちつけても、倒れることはない。岩を土台としているからである。
7:26
また、わたしのこれらの言葉を聞いても行わない者を、砂の上に自分の家を建てた愚かな人に比べることができよう。
7:27
雨が降り、洪水が押し寄せ、風が吹いてその家に打ちつけると、倒れてしまう。そしてその倒れ方はひどいのである」。

イエスがこれらの言を語り終えられると、群衆はその教にひどく驚いた。
7:29
それは律法学者たちのようにではなく、権威ある者のように、教えられたからである。

アブラムの妻サライは子を産まなかった。彼女にひとりのつかえめがあった。エジプトの女で名をハガルといった。
16:2
サライはアブラムに言った、「主はわたしに子をお授けになりません。どうぞ、わたしのつかえめの所におはいりください。彼女によってわたしは子をもつことになるでしょう」。アブラムはサライの言葉を聞きいれた。
16:3
アブラムの妻サライはそのつかえめエジプトの女ハガルをとって、夫アブラムに妻として与えた。これはアブラムがカナンの地に十年住んだ後であった。
16:4
彼はハガルの所にはいり、ハガルは子をはらんだ。彼女は自分のはらんだのを見て、女主人を見下げるようになった。
16:5
そこでサライはアブラムに言った、「わたしが受けた害はあなたの責任です。わたしのつかえめをあなたのふところに与えたのに、彼女は自分のはらんだのを見て、わたしを見下さげます。どうか、主があなたとわたしの間をおさばきになるように」。

アブラムはサライに言った、「あなたのつかえめはあなたの手のうちにある。あなたの好きなように彼女にしなさい」。そしてサライが彼女を苦しめたので、彼女はサライの顔を避けて逃げた。

主の使は荒野にある泉のほとり、すなわちシュルの道にある泉のほとりで、彼女に会い、

21 Not everyone who says to me, ‘Lord, Lord,’ will enter into the Kingdom of Heaven; but he who does the will of my Father who is in heaven.
22 Many will tell me in that day, ‘Lord, Lord, didn’t we prophesy in your name, in your name cast out demons, and in your name do many mighty works?’
23 Then I will tell them, ‘I never knew you. Depart from me, you who work iniquity.’
24 “Everyone therefore who hears these words of mine, and does them, I will liken him to a wise man, who built his house on a rock.
25 The rain came down, the floods came, and the winds blew, and beat on that house; and it didn’t fall, for it was founded on the rock.
26 Everyone who hears these words of mine, and doesn’t do them will be like a foolish man, who built his house on the sand.
27 The rain came down, the floods came, and the winds blew, and beat on that house; and it fell?and great was its fall.”
28 When Jesus had finished saying these things, the multitudes were astonished at his teaching,
29 for he taught them with authority, and not like the scribes.

1 Now Sarai, Abram’s wife, bore him no children. She had a servant, an Egyptian, whose name was Hagar.
2 Sarai said to Abram, “See now, the LORD has restrained me from bearing. Please go in to my servant. It may be that I will obtain children by her.” Abram listened to the voice of Sarai.
3 Sarai, Abram’s wife, took Hagar the Egyptian, her servant, after Abram had lived ten years in the land of Canaan, and gave her to Abram her husband to be his wife.
4 He went in to Hagar, and she conceived. When she saw that she had conceived, her mistress was despised in her eyes.
5 Sarai said to Abram, “This wrong is your fault. I gave my servant into your bosom, and when she saw that she had conceived, I was despised in her eyes. The LORD judge between me and you.”
6 But Abram said to Sarai, “Behold, your maid is in your hand. Do to her whatever is good in your eyes.” Sarai dealt harshly with her, and she fled from her face.
7 the LORD’s angel found her by a fountain of water in the wilderness, by the fountain on the way to Shur.
8 He said, “Hagar, Sarai’s servant, where did you come from? Where are you going?”
She said, “I am fleeing from the face of my mistress Sarai.”
9 the LORD’s angel said to her, “Return to your mistress, and submit yourself under her hands.”
10 the LORD’s angel said to her, “I will greatly multiply your offspring,* that they will not be counted for multitude.”
11 the LORD’s angel said to her, “Behold, you are with child, and will bear a son. You shall call his name Ishmael, because the LORD has heard your affliction.
12 He will be like a wild donkey amongst men. His hand will be against every man, and every man’s hand against him. He will live opposite all of his brothers.”
15 Hagar bore a son for Abram. Abram called the name of his son, whom Hagar bore, Ishmael.
16 Abram was eighty-six years old when Hagar bore Ishmael to Abram.

にせ預言者を警戒せよ。彼らは、羊の衣を着てあなたがたのところに来るが、その内側は強欲なおおかみである。
あなたがたは、その実によって彼らを見わけるであろう。茨からぶどうを、あざみからいちじくを集める者があろうか。
そのように、すべて良い木は良い実を結び、悪い木は悪い実を結ぶ。
良い木が悪い実をならせることはないし、悪い木が良い実をならせることはできない。
良い実を結ばない木はことごとく切られて、火の中に投げ込まれる。
このように、あなたがたはその実によって彼らを見わけるのである。

☆今日の『み言葉』
マタイによる福音 7:15-20
「言葉」であるイエスのお口から出る「偽預言者に警戒しなさい」という注意には強いひびきがあります。「預言者」は自分の言葉を混ぜずに「預かった」「言葉」しか話さない「者」です。そのために彼・彼女の言葉には力があり、実現に向かい、回心と救い、そしてそれに伴う「幸せ」をもたらすことばです。
神以外のところから、神以外の者から幸せが得られるという宣言をする者はみんな「偽預言者」です。人の心に受け入れやすい形で「善」であるかのような「毒」を入れ込み、心からまことの神の声を聞かせる「良心」の敏感さを失わせます。
「幸せの基」に見える「麻薬・性の乱用・不正な富みの取得」などの魅力を起こす「神々の言葉」で人を迷わせる「偽預言者」は私たちの周りに溢れるほどいます。最終的に人生の滅びと人の「不幸」しかもたらさない者です。自分が味わっているその不幸を人にも味わわせるのです。
この偽預言者たちの「犠牲者」になっている人々、特に若者や青少年のために私たちは「預言者」としてまた「牧者」としての使命も頂いているのではないでしょうか。願わくは、預かっている神の言葉を生かしながら良い実を結ぶ者でありたいものです。

日の入るころ、アブラムが深い眠りにおそわれた時、大きな恐ろしい暗やみが彼に臨んだ。

15 “Beware of false prophets, who come to you in sheep’s clothing, but inwardly are ravening wolves.
16 By their fruits you will know them. Do you gather grapes from thorns, or figs from thistles?
17 Even so, every good tree produces good fruit; but the corrupt tree produces evil fruit.
18 A good tree can’t produce evil fruit, neither can a corrupt tree produce good fruit.
19 Every tree that doesn’t grow good fruit is cut down, and thrown into the fire.
20 Therefore by their fruits you will know them.

10 He brought him all these, and divided them in the middle, and laid each half opposite the other; but he didn’t divide the birds.
11 The birds of prey came down on the carcasses, and Abram drove them away.
12 When the sun was going down, a deep sleep fell on Abram. Now terror and great darkness fell on him.
17 It came to pass that, when the sun went down, and it was dark, behold, a smoking furnace, and a flaming torch passed between these pieces.
18 In that day the LORD made a covenant with Abram, saying, “I have given this land to your offspring,** from the river of Egypt to the great river, the river Euphrates:

私は小さい時に、よく母親から「わが身をつねって他人の痛さを知れ」という言葉を聞かされました。自分で自分をつねれば、痛いのが解ります。痛いのはもちろん嫌です。ほかの人をつねれば、その人は痛いので嫌がります。だから自分でも嫌なことは、人にもしてはいけないと教えてくれたのです。
今日読まれる福音書のイエス様のお言葉、「人から自分にしてもらいたいと望むことを、人にもしてあげなさい。」は、「人がいやがることはしない」ということよりずっと積極的な愛徳の業を勧めているのです。私たちは今までになんども物をいただいたり、手を貸していただいたりして、嬉しかった経験があるでしょう。ですから、これからもっと実行してみましょう。人も神様も喜ばれることを。

6 “Don’t give that which is holy to the dogs, neither throw your pearls before the pigs, lest perhaps they trample them under their feet, and turn and tear you to pieces.
12 Therefore whatever you desire for men to do to you, you shall also do to them; for this is the law and the prophets.
13 “Enter in by the narrow gate; for wide is the gate and broad is the way that leads to destruction, and many are those who enter in by it.
14 How* narrow is the gate, and restricted is the way that leads to life! Few are those who find it.

Genesis 13:2, 5-18
2 Abram was very rich in livestock, in silver, and in gold.
5 Lot also, who went with Abram, had flocks, herds, and tents.
6 The land was not able to bear them, that they might live together; for their substance was great, so that they could not live together.
7 There was strife between the herdsmen of Abram’s livestock and the herdsmen of Lot’s livestock. The Canaanites and the Perizzites lived in the land at that time.
8 Abram said to Lot, “Please, let there be no strife between you and me, and between your herdsmen and my herdsmen; for we are relatives.
9 Isn’t the whole land before you? Please separate yourself from me. If you go to the left hand, then I will go to the right. Or if you go to the right hand, then I will go to the left.”
10 Lot lifted up his eyes, and saw all the plain of the Jordan, that it was well-watered everywhere, before the LORD destroyed Sodom and Gomorrah, like the garden of the LORD, like the land of Egypt, as you go to Zoar.
11 So Lot chose the Plain of the Jordan for himself. Lot travelled east, and they separated themselves the one from the other.
12 Abram lived in the land of Canaan, and Lot lived in the cities of the plain, and moved his tent as far as Sodom.
13 Now the men of Sodom were exceedingly wicked and sinners against the LORD.
14 The LORD said to Abram, after Lot was separated from him, “Now, lift up your eyes, and look from the place where you are, northward and southward and eastward and westward,
15 for all the land which you see, I will give to you, and to your offspring forever.
16 I will make your offspring as the dust of the earth, so that if a man can count the dust of the earth, then your offspring* may also be counted.
17 Arise, walk through the land in its length and in its width; for I will give it to you.”
18 Abram moved his tent, and came and lived by the oaks of Mamre, which are in Hebron, and built an altar there to the LORD.

6 “Don’t give that which is holy to the dogs, neither throw your pearls before the pigs, lest perhaps they trample them under their feet, and turn and tear you to pieces.
12 Therefore whatever you desire for men to do to you, you shall also do to them; for this is the law and the prophets.
13 “Enter in by the narrow gate; for wide is the gate and broad is the way that leads to destruction, and many are those who enter in by it.
14 How* narrow is the gate, and restricted is the way that leads to life! Few are those who find it.

Genesis 13:2, 5-18
2 Abram was very rich in livestock, in silver, and in gold.
5 Lot also, who went with Abram, had flocks, herds, and tents.
6 The land was not able to bear them, that they might live together; for their substance was great, so that they could not live together.
7 There was strife between the herdsmen of Abram’s livestock and the herdsmen of Lot’s livestock. The Canaanites and the Perizzites lived in the land at that time.
8 Abram said to Lot, “Please, let there be no strife between you and me, and between your herdsmen and my herdsmen; for we are relatives.
9 Isn’t the whole land before you? Please separate yourself from me. If you go to the left hand, then I will go to the right. Or if you go to the right hand, then I will go to the left.”
10 Lot lifted up his eyes, and saw all the plain of the Jordan, that it was well-watered everywhere, before the LORD destroyed Sodom and Gomorrah, like the garden of the LORD, like the land of Egypt, as you go to Zoar.
11 So Lot chose the Plain of the Jordan for himself. Lot travelled east, and they separated themselves the one from the other.
12 Abram lived in the land of Canaan, and Lot lived in the cities of the plain, and moved his tent as far as Sodom.
13 Now the men of Sodom were exceedingly wicked and sinners against the LORD.
14 The LORD said to Abram, after Lot was separated from him, “Now, lift up your eyes, and look from the place where you are, northward and southward and eastward and westward,
15 for all the land which you see, I will give to you, and to your offspring forever.
16 I will make your offspring as the dust of the earth, so that if a man can count the dust of the earth, then your offspring* may also be counted.
17 Arise, walk through the land in its length and in its width; for I will give it to you.”
18 Abram moved his tent, and came and lived by the oaks of Mamre, which are in Hebron, and built an altar there to the LORD.

☆今日の聖書物語 *
ルカによる福音 1:57-66, 80
さてエリサベツは月が満ちて、男の子を産んだ。
近所の人々や親族は、主が大きなあわれみを彼女におかけになったことを聞いて、共どもに喜んだ。
八日目になったので、幼な子に割礼をするために人々がきて、父の名にちなんでザカリヤという名にしようとした。
ところが、母親は、「いいえ、ヨハネという名にしなくてはいけません」と言った。
人々は、「あなたの親族の中には、そういう名のついた者は、ひとりもいません」と彼女に言った。
そして父親に、どんな名にしたいのですかと、合図で尋ねた。
ザカリヤは書板を持ってこさせて、それに「その名はヨハネ」と書いたので、みんなの者は不思議に思った。
すると、立ちどころにザカリヤの口が開けて舌がゆるみ、語り出して神をほめたたえた。
近所の人々はみな恐れをいだき、またユダヤの山里の至るところに、これらの事がことごとく語り伝えられたので、
聞く者たちは皆それを心に留めて、「この子は、いったい、どんな者になるだろう」と語り合った。主のみ手が彼と共にあった。
幼な子は成長し、その霊も強くなり、そしてイスラエルに現れる日まで、荒野にいた。

☆今日の『み言葉』
ルカによる福音 1:57-66, 80
洗礼者ヨハネは先駆者ヨハネとも呼ばれ、イエスを先駆ける者としての存在は有名です。そんな彼は、自分のことを「その方（イエス）はわたしの後から来られるが、わたしはその足の履物をお脱がせする値打ちもない」と述べたことはよく知られており、第二朗読でも引用されています。
このような洗礼者ヨハネの誕生の次第が福音では述べられますが、名前をつける段階になって親戚間で問題が生じたことがわかります。イスラエルでは親類から名前をもらうのが通例のようですが、ヨハネの場合は神からのお告げにより、またザカリアの受けた奇跡から名前が決まっていきます。
この場面においても神の力が目一杯に働いていることが明らかです。一つの出来事を通して神が働きかけられることはたくさんあります。わたしたちの日常においてはこのような劇的な出来事はほとんどありませんが、ヨハネの謙遜さを学び、また神様の望みを探りながらそれを受け入れることができるように祈りもとめたいものです。

Gospel : Luke 1:57-66, 80
57 Now the time that Elizabeth should give birth was fulfilled, and she gave birth to a son.
58 Her neighbours and her relatives heard that the Lord had magnified his mercy towards her, and they rejoiced with her.
59 On the eighth day, they came to circumcise the child; and they would have called him Zacharias, after the name of his father.
60 His mother answered, “Not so; but he will be called John.”
61 They said to her, “There is no one amongst your relatives who is called by this name.”
62 They made signs to his father, what he would have him called.
63 He asked for a writing tablet, and wrote, “His name is John.”
They all marvelled.
64 His mouth was opened immediately, and his tongue freed, and he spoke, blessing God.
65 Fear came on all who lived around them, and all these sayings were talked about throughout all the hill country of Judea.
66 All who heard them laid them up in their heart, saying, “What then will this child be?” The hand of the Lord was with him.
80 The child was growing, and becoming strong in spirit, and was in the desert until the day of his public appearance to Israel.

Gospel: Luke 9:11b-17
11b He welcomed them, and spoke to them of God’s Kingdom, and he cured those who needed healing.
12 The day began to wear away; and the twelve came, and said to him, “Send the multitude away, that they may go into the surrounding villages and farms, and lodge, and get food, for we are here in a deserted place.”
13 But he said to them, “You give them something to eat.”
They said, “We have no more than five loaves and two fish, unless we should go and buy food for all these people.”
14 For they were about five thousand men.
He said to his disciples, “Make them sit down in groups of about fifty each.”
15 They did so, and made them all sit down.
16 He took the five loaves and the two fish, and looking up to the sky, he blessed them, and broke them, and gave them to the disciples to set before the multitude.
17 They ate, and were all filled. They gathered up twelve baskets of broken pieces that were left over.

18 Melchizedek king of Salem brought out bread and wine: and he was priest of God Most High.
19 He blessed him, and said, “Blessed be Abram of God Most High, possessor of heaven and earth:

それだから、あなたがたに言っておく。何を食べようか、何を飲もうかと、自分の命のことで思いわずらい、何を着ようかと自分のからだのことで思いわずらうな。命は食物にまさり、からだは着物にまさるではないか。
空の鳥を見るがよい。まくことも、刈ることもせず、倉に取りいれることもしない。それだのに、あなたがたの天の父は彼らを養っていて下さる。あなたがたは彼らよりも、はるかにすぐれた者ではないか。
あなたがたのうち、だれが思いわずらったからとて、自分の寿命をわずかでも延ばすことができようか。
また、なぜ、着物のことで思いわずらうのか。野の花がどうして育っているか、考えて見るがよい。働きもせず、紡ぎもしない。
しかし、あなたがたに言うが、栄華をきわめた時のソロモンでさえ、この花の一つほどにも着飾ってはいなかった。
きょうは生えていて、あすは炉に投げ入れられる野の草でさえ、神はこのように装って下さるのなら、あなたがたに、それ以上よくしてくださらないはずがあろうか。ああ、信仰の薄い者たちよ。
だから、何を食べようか、何を飲もうか、あるいは何を着ようかと言って思いわずらうな。
これらのものはみな、異邦人が切に求めているものである。あなたがたの天の父は、これらのものが、ことごとくあなたがたに必要であることをご存じである。
まず神の国と神の義とを求めなさい。そうすれば、これらのものは、すべて添えて与えられるであろう。

☆今日の『み言葉』
マタイによる福音 6:24-34
「空を見ろ！」「鳥だ！」「飛行機だ！」「いや、スーパーマンだ!!」という件は、ＳＦ少年に限らずともご存知の方が多いと思います。しかし、映画版スーパーマンのサウンド･トラックの中に、「私は鳥よりも優れたものである」と歌っている曲があることはあまり知られていません。これは、スーパーマンが「自分は優れている」ということを歌った歌ではありません。むしろ、実際には確実に弱さを身に帯びた者であるにも拘わらず、常に強さを求められることを憂い悲しむ歌です。「鳥よりも･･･」というフレーズで聖句を連想させ、ヒーロー達でも「人間に過ぎない」ということを示そうとしているのでしょう。
初めてこの曲を耳にしたとき、とても深く感じ入ったのを覚えています。「死にたい」という気持ちと戦い続けている知人のことを思い出したからです。スーパーマンよりも更に弱い私たちは、だからこそ「あなたがたは、鳥よりも価値がある」という主のことばに、とても勇気付けられるものです。素朴なことばが心を揺り動かすとき、そこに神の愛が働いています。

☆今日の『み言葉』
マタイによる福音 6:24-34
「空を見ろ！」「鳥だ！」「飛行機だ！」「いや、スーパーマンだ!!」という件は、ＳＦ少年に限らずともご存知の方が多いと思います。しかし、映画版スーパーマンのサウンド･トラックの中に、「私は鳥よりも優れたものである」と歌っている曲があることはあまり知られていません。これは、スーパーマンが「自分は優れている」ということを歌った歌ではありません。むしろ、実際には確実に弱さを身に帯びた者であるにも拘わらず、常に強さを求められることを憂い悲しむ歌です。「鳥よりも･･･」というフレーズで聖句を連想させ、ヒーロー達でも「人間に過ぎない」ということを示そうとしているのでしょう。
初めてこの曲を耳にしたとき、とても深く感じ入ったのを覚えています。「死にたい」という気持ちと戦い続けている知人のことを思い出したからです。スーパーマンよりも更に弱い私たちは、だからこそ「あなたがたは、鳥よりも価値がある」という主のことばに、とても勇気付けられるものです。素朴なことばが心を揺り動かすとき、そこに神の愛が働いています。

24 “No one can serve two masters, for either he will hate the one and love the other; or else he will be devoted to one and despise the other. You can’t serve both God and Mammon.
25 Therefore I tell you, don’t be anxious for your life: what you will eat, or what you will drink; nor yet for your body, what you will wear. Isn’t life more than food, and the body more than clothing?
26 See the birds of the sky, that they don’t sow, neither do they reap, nor gather into barns. Your heavenly Father feeds them. Aren’t you of much more value than they?
27 “Which of you, by being anxious, can add one moment† to his lifespan?
28 Why are you anxious about clothing? Consider the lilies of the field, how they grow. They don’t toil, neither do they spin,
29 yet I tell you that even Solomon in all his glory was not dressed like one of these.
30 But if God so clothes the grass of the field, which today exists, and tomorrow is thrown into the oven, won’t he much more clothe you, you of little faith?
31 “Therefore don’t be anxious, saying, ‘What will we eat?’, ‘What will we drink?’ or, ‘With what will we be clothed?’

3 I know such a man (whether in the body, or outside of the body, I don’t know; God knows),
4 how he was caught up into Paradise, and heard unspeakable words, which it is not lawful for a man to utter.
5 On behalf of such a one I will boast, but on my own behalf I will not boast, except in my weaknesses.
6 For if I would desire to boast, I will not be foolish; for I will speak the truth. But I refrain, so that no man may think more of me than that which he sees in me, or hears from me.
7 By reason of the exceeding greatness of the revelations, that I should not be exalted excessively, there was given to me a thorn in the flesh, a messenger of Satan to torment me, that I should not be exalted excessively.
8 Concerning this thing, I begged the Lord three times that it might depart from me.
9 He has said to me, “My grace is sufficient for you, for my power is made perfect in weakness.” Most gladly therefore I will rather glory in my weaknesses, that the power of Christ may rest on me.
10 Therefore I take pleasure in weaknesses, in injuries, in necessities, in persecutions, in distresses, for Christ’s sake. For when I am weak, then am I strong.

あなたの宝のある所には、心もあるからである。
目はからだのあかりである。だから、あなたの目が澄んでおれば、全身も明るいだろう。
しかし、あなたの目が悪ければ、全身も暗いだろう。だから、もしあなたの内なる光が暗ければ、その暗さは、どんなであろう。

今から14年前、私が生まれて初めて海外に行った国がフィリピンでした。それまでフィリピンと言うと「常夏の貧しい国」ぐらいの漠然としたイメージしか持っていませんでした。しかし、マニラのいわゆるスラムで暮らす子どもたちに出会った時に彼らは経済的には貧しいかもしれないが、その生き生きとした目を見て「心が貧しい」のは逆に経済大国でお金に囚われている多くの日本人かもしれないと実感したことを覚えています。
今日の福音の中でイエスはこう言われます。「体のともし火は目である。目が澄んでいればあなたの全身は明るい。」さて、私たちの目はどうでしょうか？果たして澄んでいるでしょうか？目が澄んでいるために必要なことは何でしょうか？「あなたの富のあるところに、あなたの心もある。」私たちの富、つまり私たちが一番大切にしているものは一体なんでしょうか？自分の心に正直に問いかけてみてください。私は何を中心にして毎日を送っているのでしょうか？
今日一日そのことを思い巡らしながら過ごしてみてはどうでしょうか？

19 “Don’t lay up treasures for yourselves on the earth, where moth and rust consume, and where thieves break through and steal;
20 but lay up for yourselves treasures in heaven, where neither moth nor rust consume, and where thieves don’t break through and steal;
21 for where your treasure is, there your heart will be also.
22 “The lamp of the body is the eye. If therefore your eye is sound, your whole body will be full of light.
23 But if your eye is evil, your whole body will be full of darkness. If therefore the light that is in you is darkness, how great is the darkness!

8 Seeing that many boast after the flesh, I will also boast.
21 I speak by way of disparagement, as though we had been weak. Yet in whatever way anyone is bold (I speak in foolishness), I am bold also.
22 Are they Hebrews? So am I. Are they Israelites? So am I. Are they the offspring* of Abraham? So am I.
23 Are they servants of Christ? (I speak as one beside himself) I am more so; in labours more abundantly, in prisons more abundantly, in stripes above measure, in deaths often.
24 Five times from the Jews I received forty stripes minus one.
25 Three times I was beaten with rods. Once I was stoned. Three times I suffered shipwreck. I have been a night and a day in the deep.
26 I have been in travels often, perils of rivers, perils of robbers, perils from my countrymen, perils from the Gentiles, perils in the city, perils in the wilderness, perils in the sea, perils amongst false brothers;
27 in labour and travail, in watchings often, in hunger and thirst, in fastings often, and in cold and nakedness.
28 Besides those things that are outside, there is that which presses on me daily, anxiety for all the assemblies.
29 Who is weak, and I am not weak? Who is caused to stumble, and I don’t burn with indignation?
30 If I must boast, I will boast of the things that concern my weakness.

だから、彼らのまねをするな。あなたがたの父なる神は、求めない先から、あなたがたに必要なものはご存じなのである。
だから、あなたがたはこう祈りなさい、
天にいますわれらの父よ、
御名があがめられますように。
御国がきますように。
みこころが天に行われるとおり、
地にも行われますように。
わたしたちの日ごとの食物を、
きょうもお与えください。
わたしたちに負債のある者をゆるしましたように、

マタイによる福音 6:7-15
弟子達に「祈り」をせがまれたイエス様が教えてくださった「祈り」です。後半部分で「わたし達の負い目をお赦しください。」と願いますが、イエス様はそれに条件をつけられます。「わたし達に負い目のある人をすでに赦してしまったので」と。
福音書の他の箇所で、イエス様はたとえ話で「赦す」とはどんなことかを教えてくださいます。マタイ１８章２１節以下に、「一万タラントンの借金のある家来が借金を赦してもらう。その家来が自分に１００デナリオンの借金のある人に出会い、赦さなかった。そのことが主人に告げられ、その家来は赦してもらえなくなった。」とあります。そして、３５節で「あなたがた一人ひとりが、心から兄弟を赦さないなら、わたしの天の父もあなたがたに同じようになさるであろう。」と述べられます。
マタイ５章２３節〜２４節では「あなたが祭壇に供え物を献げようとし、兄弟が自分に反感を持っているのをそこで思い出したなら、その供え物を祭壇の前に置き、まず行って兄弟と仲直りをし、それから帰って来て、供え物を献げなさい。」と言われています。
わたし達は、「主の祈り」を唱えるたびに、「赦し」について心に留め、思い巡らすことが求めれています。
