マタイによる福音 4:18-22

　さて、イエスがガリラヤの海べを歩いておられると、ふたりの兄弟、すなわち、ペテロと呼ばれたシモンとその兄弟アンデレとが、海に網を打っているのをごらんになった。彼らは漁師であった。

　イエスは彼らに言われた、「わたしについてきなさい。あなたがたを、人間をとる漁師にしてあげよう」。

　すると、彼らはすぐに網を捨てて、イエスに従った。

　そこから進んで行かれると、ほかのふたりの兄弟、すなわち、ゼベダイの子ヤコブとその兄弟ヨハネとが、父ゼベダイと一緒に、舟の中で網を繕っているのをごらんになった。そこで彼らをお招きになると、

　すぐ舟と父とをおいて、イエスに従って行った。

☆今日の『み言葉』

マタイによる福音 4:18-22

　今日は聖アンデレの祝日です。

　ガリラヤ湖畔で二組の兄弟がイエスに声をかけられ、即座に弟子入りすることが取り上げられています。

　最初の弟子に関しては、ヨハネ福音書と微妙な違いが見られます。しかし、共通していることは、いずれにしても、アンデレが最初の弟子となったということです。アンデレはイエスのもとで一泊した後、兄弟のシモンをイエスに引き合わせます。

　二組の弟子は、イエスの招きに、親子関係、生活の手段を捨てて従いました。アンデレは最初の師である洗礼者ヨハネともいさぎよく訣別したことは、真なるものに対して人間関係にとらわれない超越を感じさせます。

ローマ人への手紙 10:9-18

10:9
　すなわち、自分の口で、イエスは主であると告白し、自分の心で、神が死人の中からイエスをよみがえらせたと信じるなら、あなたは救われる。

10:10
　なぜなら、人は心に信じて義とされ、口で告白して救われるからである。

10:11
　聖書は、「すべて彼を信じる者は、失望に終ることがない」と言っている。

10:12
　ユダヤ人とギリシヤ人との差別はない。同一の主が万民の主であって、彼を呼び求めるすべての人を豊かに恵んで下さるからである。

10:13
　なぜなら、「主の御名を呼び求める者は、すべて救われる」とあるからである。

10:14
　しかし、信じたことのない者を、どうして呼び求めることがあろうか。聞いたことのない者を、どうして信じることがあろうか。宣べ伝える者がいなくては、どうして聞くことがあろうか。

10:15
　つかわされなくては、どうして宣べ伝えることがあろうか。「ああ、麗しいかな、良きおとずれを告げる者の足は」と書いてあるとおりである。

10:16
　しかし、すべての人が福音に聞き従ったのではない。イザヤは、「主よ、だれがわたしたちから聞いたことを信じましたか」と言っている。

10:17
　したがって、信仰は聞くことによるのであり、聞くことはキリストの言葉から来るのである。

10:18
　しかしわたしは言う、彼らには聞えなかったのであろうか。否、むしろ
「その声は全地にひびきわたり、
その言葉は世界のはてにまで及んだ」。

19 He said to them, “Come after me, and I will make you fishers for men.”

20 They immediately left their nets and followed him.

21 Going on from there, he saw two other brothers, James the son of Zebedee, and John his brother, in the boat with Zebedee their father, mending their nets. He called them.

22 They immediately left the boat and their father, and followed him.

　教会の暦では最後の一週間を過ごしています。今日の福音の中にある一節をもう一度見てみましょう。

　「わたしの言葉は決して滅びない（33節）」。

　主の言葉はなくなりません。神の国が近づいていることを、福音として私たちにも語っておられます。今日も、生活の中に起こる出来事を丁寧に見ていきましょう。神さまに信頼する生き方を選んでいくことができますように。

　ダニエルは述べて言った、「わたしは夜の幻のうちに見た。見よ、天の四方からの風が大海をかきたてると、

　四つの大きな獣が海からあがってきた。その形は、おのおの異なり、

7:4
　第一のものは、ししのようで、わしの翼をもっていたが、わたしが見ていると、その翼は抜きとられ、また地から起されて、人のように二本の足で立たせられ、かつ人の心が与えられた。

7:5
　見よ、第二の獣は熊のようであった。これはそのからだの一方をあげ、その口の歯の間に、三本の肋骨をくわえていたが、これに向かって『起きあがって、多くの肉を食らえ』と言う声があった。

　その後わたしが見たのは、ひょうのような獣で、その背には鳥の翼が四つあった。またこの獣には四つの頭があり、主権が与えられた。

　わたしが、その角を注意して見ていると、その中に、また一つの小さい角が出てきたが、この小さい角のために、さきの角のうち三つがその根から抜け落ちた。見よ、この小さい角には、人の目のような目があり、また大きな事を語る口があった。

もろもろのみ座が設けられて、
日の老いたる者が座しておられた。
その衣は雪のように白く、
頭の毛は混じりもののない羊の毛のようであった。
そのみ座は火の炎であり、
その車輪は燃える火であった。

　彼の前から、ひと筋の火の流れが出てきた。
彼に仕える者は千々、
彼の前にはべる者は万々、
審判を行う者はその席に着き、

天の雲に乗ってきて、

29 He told them a parable. “See the fig tree, and all the trees.

30 When they are already budding, you see it and know by your own selves that the summer is already near.

31 Even so you also, when you see these things happening, know that God’s Kingdom is near.

32 Most certainly I tell you, this generation will not pass away until all things are accomplished.

33 Heaven and earth will pass away, but my words will by no means pass away.

Daniel 7:2-14

2 Daniel spoke and said, I saw in my vision by night, and, behold, the four winds of the sky broke out on the great sea.

3 Four great animals came up from the sea, diverse one from another.

4 The first was like a lion, and had eagle’s wings: I saw until its wings were plucked, and it was lifted up from the earth, and made to stand on two feet as a man; and a man’s heart was given to it.

5 Behold, another animal, a second, like a bear; and it was raised up on one side, and three ribs were in its mouth between its teeth: and they said thus to it, Arise, devour much flesh.

6 After this I saw, and behold, another, like a leopard, which had on its back four wings of a bird; the animal had also four heads; and dominion was given to it.

8 I considered the horns, and behold, there came up amongst them another horn, a little one, before which three of the first horns were plucked up by the roots: and behold, in this horn were eyes like the eyes of a man, and a mouth speaking great things.

9 I saw until thrones were placed, and one who was ancient of days sat: his clothing was white as snow, and the hair of his head like pure wool; his throne was fiery flames, and its wheels burning fire.

10 A fiery stream issued and came out from before him: thousands of thousands ministered to him, and ten thousand times ten thousand stood before him: the judgement was set, and the books were opened.

11 I saw at that time because of the voice of the great words which the horn spoke; I saw even until the animal was slain, and its body destroyed, and it was given to be burnt with fire.

12 As for the rest of the animals, their dominion was taken away: yet their lives were prolonged for a season and a time.

13 I saw in the night visions, and behold, there came with the clouds of the sky one like a son of man, and he came even to the ancient of days, and they brought him near before him.

14 There was given him dominion, and glory, and a kingdom, that all the peoples, nations, and languages should serve him: his dominion is an everlasting dominion, which shall not pass away, and his kingdom that which shall not be destroyed.

　エルサレムが軍隊に包囲されるのを見たならば、そのときは、その滅亡が近づいたとさとりなさい。

　そのとき、ユダヤにいる人々は山へ逃げよ。市中にいる者は、そこから出て行くがよい。また、いなかにいる者は市内にはいってはいけない。

　それは、聖書にしるされたすべての事が実現する刑罰の日であるからだ。

　その日には、身重の女と乳飲み子をもつ女とは、不幸である。地上には大きな苦難があり、この民にはみ怒りが臨み、

　彼らはつるぎの刃に倒れ、また捕えられて諸国へ引きゆかれるであろう。そしてエルサレムは、異邦人の時期が満ちるまで、彼らに踏みにじられているであろう。

　また日と月と星とに、しるしが現れるであろう。そして、地上では、諸国民が悩み、海と大波とのとどろきにおじ惑い、

　人々は世界に起ろうとする事を思い、恐怖と不安で気絶するであろう。もろもろの天体が揺り動かされるからである。

　そのとき、大いなる力と栄光とをもって、人の子が雲に乗って来るのを、人々は見るであろう。

　これらの事が起りはじめたら、身を起し頭をもたげなさい。あなたがたの救が近づいているのだから」。

☆今日の『み言葉』

ルカによる福音 21:20-28

　イエスは迫害は証しをする機会であるが、弁明の準備は不必要であると言っています。なぜならイエスが言葉と知恵を授けるからだとも言っています。

　またイエスのために親しい人からも裏切られ、またあるものは殺され、また憎まれるとのことです。そうであっても忍耐によって命を勝ち取るように伝えられます。

　上記の通り福音をなぞってみました。この福音で語られていることは、現代に至るまでキリスト教においてどんな時代にもどこかで起こってきたことだと思います。そしてわたしたちは多くの殉教者を聖人としていただいています。

　現代日本に生きるわたしたちは大きな迫害はありません。しかし迫害はなくとも「キリスト者としてこの世に生きるということ」については大きな挑戦があることを感じます。キリストのように生きるのであれば世に甘んじていてはいけないのかもしれません。社会通念に従うだけでは足りないのかもしれません。そう考えると大きな葛藤が起こります。　　これはわたしの勝手な解釈かもしれませんが、葛藤を持ちながらもイエスに思いを寄せ、何もできないわたし自身をイエスに任せて忍耐することが大切なのかもしれません。

　答えは一つではないでしょうが、「キリスト者としてこの世に生きること」について、今日の福音と照らし合わせて黙想できればと思います。

ダニエル書 6:12-28

6:12
　彼らは王の前にきて、王の禁令について奏上して言った、「王よ、あなたは禁令に署名して、今から三十日の間は、ただあなたにのみ願い事をさせ、もしあなたをおいて、神または人に、これをなす者があれば、すべてその者を、ししの穴に投げ入れると、定められたではありませんか」。王は答えて言った、「その事は確かであって、メデアとペルシャの法律のごとく、変えることのできないものだ」。

6:13
　彼らは王の前に答えて言った、「王よ、ユダから引いてきた捕囚のひとりである、かのダニエルは、あなたをも、あなたの署名された禁令をも顧みず、一日に三度ずつ、祈をささげています」。

6:14
　王はこの言葉を聞いて大いに憂え、ダニエルを救おうと心を用い、日の入るまで、彼を救い出すことに努めた。

6:15
　時にその人々は、また王のもとに集まってきて、王に言った、「王よ、メデアとペルシャの法律によれば、王の立てた禁令、または、おきては変えることのできないものであることを、ご承知ください」。

　そこで王は命令を下したので、ダニエルは引き出されて、ししの穴に投げ入れられた。王はダニエルに言った、「どうか、あなたの常に仕える神が、あなたを救われるように」。

　そして一つの石を持ってきて、穴の口をふさいだので、王は自分の印と、大臣らの印をもって、これに封印した。これはダニエルの処置を変えることのないようにするためであった。

　こうして王はその宮殿に帰ったが、その夜は食をとらず、また、そばめたちを召し寄せず、全く眠ることもしなかった。

　わたしの神はその使をおくって、ししの口を閉ざされたので、ししはわたしを害しませんでした。これはわたしに罪のないことが、神の前に認められたからです。王よ、わたしはあなたの前にも、何も悪い事をしなかったのです」。

　そこで王は大いに喜び、ダニエルを穴の中から出せと命じたので、ダニエルは穴の中から出されたが、その身になんの害をも受けていなかった。これは彼が自分の神を頼みとしていたからである。

　王はまた命令を下して、ダニエルをあしざまに訴えた人々を引いてこさせ、彼らをその妻子と共に、ししの穴に投げ入れさせた。彼らが穴の底に達しないうちに、ししは彼らにとびかかって、その骨までもかみ砕いた。

　そこでダリヨス王は全世界に住む諸民、諸族、諸国語の者に詔を書きおくって言った、「どうか、あなたがたに平安が増すように。

　わたしは命令を出す。わが国のすべての州の人は、皆ダニエルの神を、おののき恐れなければならない。
彼は生ける神であって、
とこしえに変ることなく、
その国は滅びず、その主権は終りまで続く。

　彼は救を施し、助けをなし、
天においても、地においても、
しるしと奇跡とをおこない、
ダニエルを救って、

Gospel : Luke 21:20-28

20 “But when you see Jerusalem surrounded by armies, then know that its desolation is at hand.

21 Then let those who are in Judea flee to the mountains. Let those who are in the middle of her depart. Let those who are in the country not enter therein.

22 For these are days of vengeance, that all things which are written may be fulfilled.

23 Woe to those who are pregnant and to those who nurse infants in those days! For there will be great distress in the land, and wrath to this people.

24 They will fall by the edge of the sword, and will be led captive into all the nations. Jerusalem will be trampled down by the Gentiles, until the times of the Gentiles are fulfilled.

25 There will be signs in the sun, moon, and stars; and on the earth anxiety of nations, in perplexity for the roaring of the sea and the waves;

26 men fainting for fear, and for expectation of the things which are coming on the world: for the powers of the heavens will be shaken.

27 Then they will see the Son of Man coming in a cloud with power and great glory.

28 But when these things begin to happen, look up, and lift up your heads, because your redemption is near.”

12 Then they came near, and spoke before the king concerning the king’s decree: Haven’t you signed a decree that every man who makes a petition to any god or man within thirty days, except to you, O king, shall be cast into the den of lions? The king answered, The thing is true, according to the law of the Medes and Persians, which doesn’t alter.

13 Then answered they and said before the king, That Daniel, who is of the children of the captivity of Judah, doesn’t respect you, O king, nor the decree that you have signed, but makes his petition three times a day.

14 Then the king, when he heard these words, was very displeased, and set his heart on Daniel to deliver him; and he laboured until the going down of the sun to rescue him.

15 Then these men assembled together to the king, and said to the king, Know, O king, that it is a law of the Medes and Persians, that no decree nor statute which the king establishes may be changed.

16 Then the king commanded, and they brought Daniel, and cast him into the den of lions. The king spoke and said to Daniel, Your God whom you serve continually, he will deliver you.

17 A stone was brought, and laid on the mouth of the den; and the king sealed it with his own signet, and with the signet of his lords; that nothing might be changed concerning Daniel.

18 Then the king went to his palace, and passed the night fasting; neither were instruments of music brought before him: and his sleep fled from him.

19 Then the king arose very early in the morning, and went in haste to the den of lions.

20 When he came near to the den to Daniel, he cried with a lamentable voice; the king spoke and said to Daniel, Daniel, servant of the living God, is your God, whom you serve continually, able to deliver you from the lions?

21 Then Daniel said to the king, O king, live forever.

22 My God has sent his angel, and has shut the lions’ mouths, and they have not hurt me; because as before him innocence was found in me; and also before you, O king, have I done no hurt.

23 Then was the king exceeding glad, and commanded that they should take Daniel up out of the den. So Daniel was taken up out of the den, and no kind of harm was found on him, because he had trusted in his God.

24 The king commanded, and they brought those men who had accused Daniel, and they cast them into the den of lions, them, their children, and their wives; and the lions mauled them, and broke all their bones in pieces, before they came to the bottom of the den.

25 Then king Darius wrote to all the peoples, nations, and languages, who dwell in all the earth: Peace be multiplied to you.

26 I make a decree, that in all the dominion of my kingdom men tremble and fear before the God of Daniel; for he is the living God, and steadfast forever, His kingdom that which shall not be destroyed; and his dominion shall be even to the end.

27 He delivers and rescues, and he works signs and wonders in heaven and in earth, who has delivered Daniel from the power of the lions.

28 So this Daniel prospered in the reign of Darius, and in the reign of Cyrus the Persian.

　また、わたしの名のゆえにすべての人に憎まれるであろう。

　しかし、あなたがたの髪の毛一すじでも失われることはない。

☆今日の『み言葉』

ルカによる福音 21:12-19

　イエスは常に、ご自分の愛する弟子に高い理想を示し、これに挑戦するように励ましています。イエスの弟子になる条件は、『父母、妻、兄弟、姉妹、自分のいのちまでも憎まないなら、弟子にふさわしくありません』（ルカ14,26）。更に、イエスは、『神様だけがいのちの主である』と教えています。ここで、いのちとは、この世に限ってのみのことでもなく自分のいのちのことでもない、永遠のいのち、神のいのちのことです。つまり、この世は貴方に数多くの選択を提供しますが、永遠は二つの選択だけを提供します。それは天国か地獄か二者択一を迫られるものです。だからイエスは、『死に至るまで忠実でありなさい。わたしは貴方にいのちの冠を与える』（黙示録.2,10）と仰せになっています。

　イエスに従うことは、簡単ではありません。迫害においては、『わたしの名の為に』、憎まれる立場へと転回します。両親、兄弟、親族、友人、一言で言えば、親しい者から憎まれ、裏切られ、殺されるのです。その時こそ絶望に落ち込む事がないように必ず精神的に強めて下さるのです。貴方の心に聖霊の息吹を注入させるのです。『どんな反対者でも、対抗も反論もできないような言葉と智恵をわたしはあなたに授けるからです』（ルカ21,13）。このように明確な姿で、証しする機会となると同時にあなた方はわたしに属する者であるのです。その時こそ、『貴方だけが完全な方、聖なる方。全ての民が来て、貴方の前にひれ伏して拝むのでしょう！』

　ベルシャザル王は、その大臣一千人のために、盛んな酒宴を設け、その一千人の前で酒を飲んでいた。

　酒が進んだとき、ベルシャザルは、その父ネブカデネザルがエルサレムの神殿から取ってきた金銀の器を持ってこいと命じた。王とその大臣たち、および王の妻とそばめらが、これをもって酒を飲むためであった。

5:3
　そこで人々はそのエルサレムの神の宮すなわち神殿から取ってきた金銀の器を持ってきたので、王とその大臣たち、および王の妻とそばめらは、これをもって飲んだ。

　すなわち彼らは酒を飲んで、金、銀、青銅、鉄、木、石などの神々をほめたたえた。

Gospel : Luke 21:12-19

12 But before all these things, they will lay their hands on you and will persecute you, delivering you up to synagogues and prisons, bringing you before kings and governors for my name’s sake.

13 It will turn out as a testimony for you.

14 Settle it therefore in your hearts not to meditate beforehand how to answer,

15 for I will give you a mouth and wisdom which all your adversaries will not be able to withstand or to contradict.

16 You will be handed over even by parents, brothers, relatives, and friends. They will cause some of you to be put to death.

17 You will be hated by all men for my name’s sake.

18 And not a hair of your head will perish.

19 “By your endurance you will win your lives.

1 Belshazzar the king made a great feast to a thousand of his lords, and drank wine before the thousand.

2 Belshazzar, while he tasted the wine, commanded to bring the golden and silver vessels which Nebuchadnezzar his father had taken out of the temple which was in Jerusalem; that the king and his lords, his wives and his concubines, might drink from them.

3 Then they brought the golden vessels that were taken out of the temple of God’s house which was at Jerusalem; and the king and his lords, his wives and his concubines, drank from them.

4 They drank wine, and praised the gods of gold, and of silver, of brass, of iron, of wood, and of stone.

5 In the same hour, the fingers of a man’s hand came out and wrote near the lamp stand on the plaster of the wall of the king’s palace. The king saw the part of the hand that wrote.

6 Then the king’s face was changed in him, and his thoughts troubled him; and the joints of his thighs were loosened, and his knees struck one against another.

13 Then was Daniel brought in before the king. The king spoke and said to Daniel, Are you that Daniel, who are of the children of the captivity of Judah, whom the king my father brought out of Judah?

14 I have heard of you, that the spirit of the gods is in you, and that light and understanding and excellent wisdom are found in you.

16 But I have heard of you, that you can give interpretations, and dissolve doubts; now if you can read the writing, and make known to me its interpretation, you shall be clothed with purple, and have a chain of gold about your neck, and shall be the third ruler in the kingdom.

17 Then Daniel answered before the king, Let your gifts be to yourself, and give your rewards to another; nevertheless I will read the writing to the king, and make known to him the interpretation.

23 but have lifted up yourself against the Lord of heaven; and they have brought the vessels of his house before you, and you and your lords, your wives and your concubines, have drunk wine from them; and you have praised the gods of silver and gold, of brass, iron, wood, and stone, which don’t see, nor hear, nor know; and the God in whose hand your breath is, and whose are all your ways, you have not glorified.

24 Then was the part of the hand sent from before him, and this writing was inscribed.

25 This is the writing that was inscribed: MENE, MENE, TEKEL, UPHARSIN.

26 This is the interpretation of the thing: MENE; God has counted your kingdom, and brought it to an end;

27 TEKEL; you are weighed in the balances, and are found wanting.

28 PERES; your kingdom is divided, and given to the Medes and Persians.

　ある人々が、見事な石と奉納物とで宮が飾られていることを話していたので、イエスは言われた、

　「あなたがたはこれらのものをながめているが、その石一つでもくずされずに、他の石の上に残ることもなくなる日が、来るであろう」。

　そこで彼らはたずねた、「先生、では、いつそんなことが起るのでしょうか。またそんなことが起るような場合には、どんな前兆がありますか」。

　イエスが言われた、「あなたがたは、惑わされないように気をつけなさい。多くの者がわたしの名を名のって現れ、自分がそれだとか、時が近づいたとか、言うであろう。彼らについて行くな。

　戦争と騒乱とのうわさを聞くときにも、おじ恐れるな。こうしたことはまず起らねばならないが、終りはすぐにはこない」。

　それから彼らに言われた、「民は民に、国は国に敵対して立ち上がるであろう。

　また大地震があり、あちこちに疫病やききんが起り、いろいろ恐ろしいことや天からの物すごい前兆があるであろう。

☆今日の『み言葉』

ルカによる福音 21:5-11

　イエス様が「宮清め」をされたことは、4人の福音記者が記録しています。それは、祭司達と結託して商人達が、専売特許を良いことに「金儲け」の場にしていることに対して、イエスさまの怒りが爆発したのです。今日の「エルサレム滅亡の預言」は、「終末」についての預言であると同時に、祈りの家でない神殿に対する、神様の怒りを表していると見ることもできるでしょう。

　一方、特に聖パウロは、繰り返しキリスト者に「あなた達は神の神殿」(１コリント3:17)であることを、忘れないようにと注意を促しています。ルカはイエス様がエルサレム入場の時にエルサレムをみて泣かれたこと（ルカ１９章１１月２０の聖書）を記録します。エルサレムの中心は神殿ですから、「祈りの家でない神殿」もイエスさまの涙のもとでしょう。今日イエス様が、私達の心の神殿をご覧になったら、イエスさまはどうされるのでしょうか・・・・

　王よ、あなたは一つの大いなる像が、あなたの前に立っているのを見られました。その像は大きく、非常に光り輝いて、恐ろしい外観をもっていました。

　その像の頭は純金、胸と両腕とは銀、腹と、ももとは青銅、

　すねは鉄、足の一部は鉄、一部は粘土です。

　あなたが見ておられたとき、一つの石が人手によらずに切り出されて、その像の鉄と粘土との足を撃ち、これを砕きました。

　あなたが鉄と粘土との混じったのを見られたように、それらは婚姻によって、互に混ざるでしょう。しかし鉄と粘土とは相混じらないように、かれとこれと相合することはありません。

　それらの王たちの世に、天の神は一つの国を立てられます。これはいつまでも滅びることがなく、その主権は他の民にわたされず、かえってこれらのもろもろの国を打ち破って滅ぼすでしょう。そしてこの国は立って永遠に至るのです。

Gospel : Luke 21:5-11

5 As some were talking about the temple and how it was decorated with beautiful stones and gifts, he said,

6 “As for these things which you see, the days will come, in which there will not be left here one stone on another that will not be thrown down.”

7 They asked him, “Teacher, so when will these things be? What is the sign that these things are about to happen?”

8 He said, “Watch out that you don’t get led astray, for many will come in my name, saying, ‘I am he†,’ and, ‘The time is at hand.’ Therefore don’t follow them.

9 When you hear of wars and disturbances, don’t be terrified, for these things must happen first, but the end won’t come immediately.”

10 Then he said to them, “Nation will rise against nation, and kingdom against kingdom.

11 There will be great earthquakes, famines, and plagues in various places. There will be terrors and great signs from heaven.


*21:2: literally, “two lepta.” 2 lepta was about 1% of a day’s wages for an agricultural labourer.

Daniel 2:31-45

31 You, O king, saw, and behold,* a great image. This image, which was mighty, and whose brightness was excellent, stood before you; and its aspect was awesome.

32 As for this image, its head was of fine gold, its breast and its arms of silver, its belly and its thighs of brass,

33 its legs of iron, its feet part of iron, and part of clay.

34 You saw until a stone was cut out without hands, which struck the image on its feet that were of iron and clay, and broke them in pieces.

35 Then was the iron, the clay, the brass, the silver, and the gold, broken in pieces together, and became like the chaff of the summer threshing floors; and the wind carried them away, so that no place was found for them: and the stone that struck the image became a great mountain, and filled the whole earth.

36 This is the dream; and we will tell its interpretation before the king.

37 You, O king, are king of kings, to whom the God of heaven has given the kingdom, the power, and the strength, and the glory;

38 and wherever the children of men dwell, the animals of the field and the birds of the sky has he given into your hand, and has made you to rule over them all: you are the head of gold.

39 After you shall arise another kingdom inferior to you; and another third kingdom of brass, which shall bear rule over all the earth.

40 The fourth kingdom shall be strong as iron, because iron breaks in pieces and subdues all things; and as iron that crushes all these, shall it break in pieces and crush.

41 Whereas you saw the feet and toes, part of potters’ clay, and part of iron, it shall be a divided kingdom; but there shall be in it of the strength of the iron, because you saw the iron mixed with miry clay.

42 As the toes of the feet were part of iron, and part of clay, so the kingdom shall be partly strong, and partly broken.

43 Whereas you saw the iron mixed with miry clay, they shall mingle themselves with the seed of men; but they shall not cling to one another, even as iron does not mingle with clay.

44 In the days of those kings shall the God of heaven set up a kingdom which shall never be destroyed, nor shall its sovereignty be left to another people; but it shall break in pieces and consume all these kingdoms, and it shall stand forever.

45 Because you saw that a stone was cut out of the mountain without hands, and that it broke in pieces the iron, the brass, the clay, the silver, and the gold; the great God has made known to the king what shall happen hereafter: and the dream is certain, and its interpretation sure.

　言われた、「よく聞きなさい。あの貧しいやもめはだれよりもたくさん入れたのだ。

　これらの人たちはみな、ありあまる中から献金を投げ入れたが、あの婦人は、その乏しい中から、持っている生活費全部を入れたからである」。

☆今日の『み言葉』

ルカによる福音 21:1-4

　やもめの献金のエピソード。

　神様への奉献は「量より質」が大事であることに気付かされます。神様は、その態度や寛大さ、いかに信頼を寄せているか、信仰に目を注がれます。

　この「やもめ」の姿は、マザー･テレサと重なります。ロレット修道会を退会し、一人コルカタの町を歩き始めます。手持ち金は5ルピーだけ。早速4ルピーを貧しい人々のために施し、残りは1ルピーになりました。そこに一人の司祭と出会い、彼から出版の為の寄付を求められました。最初ためらいを覚えたようですが、神様がきっと何とかしてくださるだろうと信じて、残りの１ルピーも渡してしまいます。その日の午後、あの司祭が封筒をもって彼女の所にやってきました。ある人物から預かってきたとのこと。封筒の中には５０ルピー入っていたそうです。（最初所持金の１０倍の金額･･･）

　マザーは、神様からの祝福を受けました。そして、神様に信頼を寄せている限り、いかなることがあっても見捨てられることがないことを学んだのでした。

　ユダの王エホヤキムの治世の第三年にバビロンの王ネブカデネザルはエルサレムにきて、これを攻め囲んだ。

　主はユダの王エホヤキムと、神の宮の器具の一部とを、彼の手にわたされたので、彼はこれをシナルの地の自分の神の宮に携えゆき、その器具を自分の神の蔵に納めた。

　時に王は宦官の長アシペナズに、イスラエルの人々の中から、王の血統の者と、貴族たる者数人とを、連れて来るように命じた。

1:4
　すなわち身に傷がなく、容姿が美しく、すべての知恵にさとく、知識があって、思慮深く、王の宮に仕えるに足る若者を連れてこさせ、これにカルデヤびとの文学と言語とを学ばせようとした。

　そして王は王の食べる食物と、王の飲む酒の中から、日々の分を彼らに与えて、三年のあいだ彼らを養い育て、その後、彼らをして王の前に、はべらせようとした。

　彼らのうちに、ユダの部族のダニエル、ハナニヤ、ミシャエル、アザリヤがあった。

　神はダニエルをして、宦官の長の前に、恵みとあわれみとを得させられたので、

　宦官の長はダニエルに言った、「わが主なる王は、あなたがたの食べ物と、飲み物とを定められたので、わたしはあなたがたの健康の状態が、同年輩の若者たちよりも悪いと、王が見られることを恐れるのです。そうすればあなたがたのために、わたしのこうべが、王の前に危くなるでしょう」。

　そこでダニエルは宦官の長がダニエル、ハナニヤ、ミシャエルおよびアザリヤの上に立てた家令に言った、

　「どうぞ、しもべらを十日の間ためしてください。わたしたちにただ野菜を与えて食べさせ、水を飲ませ、

　そしてわたしたちの顔色と、王の食物を食べる若者の顔色とをくらべて見て、あなたの見るところにしたがって、しもべらを扱ってください」。

　家令はこの事について彼らの言うところを聞きいれ、十日の間、彼らをためした。

　十日の終りになってみると、彼らの顔色は王の食物を食べたすべての若者よりも美しく、また肉も肥え太っていた。

　それで家令は彼らの食物と、彼らの飲むべき酒とを除いて、彼らに野菜を与えた。

　この四人の者には、神は知識を与え、すべての文学と知恵にさとい者とされた。ダニエルはまたすべての幻と夢とを理解した。

　さて、王が命じたところの若者を召し入れるまでの日数が過ぎたので、宦官の町は彼らをネブカデネザルの前に連れていった。

1 He looked up, and saw the rich people who were putting their gifts into the treasury.

2 He saw a certain poor widow casting in two small brass coins.*

3 He said, “Truly I tell you, this poor widow put in more than all of them,

4 for all these put in gifts for God from their abundance, but she, out of her poverty, put in all that she had to live on.”

Daniel 1:1-6, 8-20

1 In the third year of the reign of Jehoiakim king of Judah came Nebuchadnezzar king of Babylon to Jerusalem, and besieged it.

2 The Lord* gave Jehoiakim king of Judah into his hand, with part of the vessels of the house of God; † and he carried them into the land of Shinar to the house of his god: and he brought the vessels into the treasure house of his god.

3 The king spoke to Ashpenaz the master of his eunuchs, that he should bring in some of the children of Israel, even of the royal offspring‡ and of the nobles;

4 youths in whom was no defect, but well-favoured, and skilful in all wisdom, and endowed with knowledge, and understanding science, and such as had ability to stand in the king’s palace; and that he should teach them the learning and the language of the Chaldeans.

5 The king appointed for them a daily portion of the king’s dainties, and of the wine which he drank, and that they should be nourished three years; that at its end they should stand before the king.

6 Now amongst these were, of the children of Judah, Daniel, Hananiah, Mishael, and Azariah.

8 But Daniel purposed in his heart that he would not defile himself with the king’s dainties, nor with the wine which he drank: therefore he requested of the prince of the eunuchs that he might not defile himself.

9 Now God made Daniel to find kindness and compassion in the sight of the prince of the eunuchs.

10 The prince of the eunuchs said to Daniel, I fear my lord the king, who has appointed your food and your drink: for why should he see your faces worse looking than the youths who are of your own age? so would you endanger my head with the king.

11 Then Daniel said to the steward whom the prince of the eunuchs had appointed over Daniel, Hananiah, Mishael, and Azariah:

12 Test your servants, I beg you, ten days; and let them give us vegetables to eat, and water to drink.

13 Then let our faces be looked on before you, and the face of the youths who eat of the king’s dainties; and as you see, deal with your servants.

14 So he listened to them in this matter, and proved them ten days.

15 At the end of ten days their faces appeared fairer, and they were fatter in flesh, than all the youths who ate of the king’s dainties.

16 So the steward took away their dainties, and the wine that they should drink, and gave them pulse.

17 Now as for these four youths, God gave them knowledge and skill in all learning and wisdom: and Daniel had understanding in all visions and dreams.

18 At the end of the days which the king had appointed for bringing them in, the prince of the eunuchs brought them in before Nebuchadnezzar.

19 The king talked with them; and amongst them all was found no one like Daniel, Hananiah, Mishael, and Azariah: therefore stood they before the king.

20 In every matter of wisdom and understanding, concerning which the king enquired of them, he found them ten times better than all the magicians and enchanters who were in all his realm.

　民衆は立って見ていた。役人たちもあざ笑って言った、「彼は他人を救った。もし彼が神のキリスト、選ばれた者であるなら、自分自身を救うがよい」。

　兵卒どももイエスをののしり、近寄ってきて酢いぶどう酒をさし出して言った、

　「あなたがユダヤ人の王なら、自分を救いなさい」。

　イエスの上には、「これはユダヤ人の王」と書いた札がかけてあった。

　十字架にかけられた犯罪人のひとりが、「あなたはキリストではないか。それなら、自分を救い、またわれわれも救ってみよ」と、イエスに悪口を言いつづけた。

　もうひとりは、それをたしなめて言った、「おまえは同じ刑を受けていながら、神を恐れないのか。

　お互は自分のやった事のむくいを受けているのだから、こうなったのは当然だ。しかし、このかたは何も悪いことをしたのではない」。

　そして言った、「イエスよ、あなたが御国の権威をもっておいでになる時には、わたしを思い出してください」。

　イエスは言われた、「よく言っておくが、あなたはきょう、わたしと一緒にパラダイスにいるであろう」。

Gospel: Luke 23:35-43

35 The people stood watching. The rulers with them also scoffed at him, saying, “He saved others. Let him save himself, if this is the Christ of God, his chosen one!”

36 The soldiers also mocked him, coming to him and offering him vinegar,

37 and saying, “If you are the King of the Jews, save yourself!”

38 An inscription was also written over him in letters of Greek, Latin, and Hebrew: “THIS IS THE KING OF THE JEWS.”

39 One of the criminals who was hanged insulted him, saying, “If you are the Christ, save yourself and us!”

40 But the other answered, and rebuking him said, “Don’t you even fear God, seeing you are under the same condemnation?

41 And we indeed justly, for we receive the due reward for our deeds, but this man has done nothing wrong.”

42 He said to Jesus, “Lord, remember me when you come into your Kingdom.”

43 Jesus said to him, “Assuredly I tell you, today you will be with me in Paradise.”

ルカによる福音 20:27-40

　復活ということはないと言い張っていたサドカイ人のある者たちが、イエスに近寄ってきて質問した、

　「先生、モーセは、わたしたちのためにこう書いています、『もしある人の兄が妻をめとり、子がなくて死んだなら、弟はこの女をめとって、兄のために子をもうけねばならない』。

　ところで、ここに七人の兄弟がいました。長男は妻をめとりましたが、子がなくて死に、

　そして次男、三男と、次々に、その女をめとり、

　七人とも同様に、子をもうけずに死にました。

　のちに、その女も死にました。

　さて、復活の時には、この女は七人のうち、だれの妻になるのですか。七人とも彼女を妻にしたのですが」。

　イエスは彼らに言われた、「この世の子らは、めとったり、とついだりするが、

　かの世にはいって死人からの復活にあずかるにふさわしい者たちは、めとったり、とついだりすることはない。

　彼らは天使に等しいものであり、また復活にあずかるゆえに、神の子でもあるので、もう死ぬことはあり得ないからである。

　死人がよみがえることは、モーセも柴の篇で、主を『アブラハムの神、イサクの神、ヤコブの神』と呼んで、これを示した。

　神は死んだ者の神ではなく、生きている者の神である。人はみな神に生きるものだからである」。

　律法学者のうちのある人々が答えて言った、「先生、仰せのとおりです」。

☆今日の『み言葉』

ルカによる福音 20:27-40

　今日の福音書のテーマは「復活」です。復活は“永遠に変わらないものがある”と信じるから出てくる考えです。「救い」も同じです。“永遠なるもの”があるからそこに救いを求めるのです。永遠に変わらない方がおられるので、私たちの信仰があります。復活のテーマを考えるとき、私たちのいのちのことに思いが至ります。私たちのいのちは神様から与えられたこと、すべての人は神様から生かされていること、神様の望まれるときに神様のもとに帰っていくことです。

　人は神を志向することで生かされているとも言えます。私たちは生まれたときからこの世では終わりでない、死の向こうにおられる神様に向かって歩んでいます。「復活」や「救い」を考えるとき、私たちにとっては神様との出会いを果たすことが人生においては大切なことになります。

　私たちがいつもきちんと神様の方向を向いていることができるように、忙しい毎日にあっても神様のことを意識することを忘れないようにしたいと思います。

6章1節
　アンティオコス王は、高地の国々を通過していたとき、豊富な金と銀で有名なエリマイスという町がペルシアにあることを耳にした。

6章2節
　その町の神殿は、驚くほど富んでいて、金の兜、胸当て、武器などがあったが、それはマケドニア人の王、フィリポスの子アレキサンドロスが残していったものである。このアレキサンドロスはギリシア人を統治した最初の人物である。

6章3節
　アンティオコスはその町の占領と略奪をもくろんで出陣したが、たくらみが事前に市民に漏れてしまったので、成功しなかった。

6章4節
　人々が彼に戦いを挑もうと立ち上がったからである。彼は恐れをなし、心を残しつつも、途中からくびすを返しバビロンへ戻ろうとした。

6章5節
　すると、ペルシアにいる彼のところに一人の男がやって来て、報告をもたらした。「ユダの地への派遣軍は敗走しました。

Gospel : Luke 20:27-40

27 Some of the Sadducees came to him, those who deny that there is a resurrection.

28 They asked him, “Teacher, Moses wrote to us that if a man’s brother dies having a wife, and he is childless, his brother should take the wife, and raise up children for his brother.

29 There were therefore seven brothers. The first took a wife, and died childless.

30 The second took her as wife, and he died childless.

31 The third took her, and likewise the seven all left no children, and died.

32 Afterward the woman also died.

33 Therefore in the resurrection whose wife of them will she be? For the seven had her as a wife.”

34 Jesus said to them, “The children of this age marry, and are given in marriage.

35 But those who are considered worthy to attain to that age and the resurrection from the dead, neither marry, nor are given in marriage.

36 For they can’t die any more, for they are like the angels, and are children of God, being children of the resurrection.

37 But that the dead are raised, even Moses showed at the bush, when he called the Lord ‘The God of Abraham, the God of Isaac, and the God of Jacob.’ ☆

38 Now he is not the God of the dead, but of the living, for all are alive to him.”

39 Some of the scribes answered, “Teacher, you speak well.”

40 They didn’t dare to ask him any more questions.

7 and that they had pulled down the abomination which he had built upon the altar that was in Jerusalem; and that they had compassed about the sanctuary with high walls, as before, and Bethsura, his city.

8 And it came to pass, when the king heard these words, he was astonished and moved exceedingly: and he laid him down upon his bed, and fell sick for grief, because it had not befallen him as he looked for.

9 And he was there many days, because great grief was renewed upon him, and he made account that he should die.

10 And he called for all his * Friends, and said to them, Sleep departs from mine eyes, and my heart fails for care.

11 And I said in my heart, To what tribulation am I come, and how great a flood is it, wherein I now am! for I was gracious and beloved in my power.

12 But now I remember the evils which I did at Jerusalem, and that I took all the vessels of silver and gold that were therein, and sent forth to destroy the inhabitants of Judah without a cause.

13 I percieve that on this account these evils are come upon me, and, behold, I perish through great grief in a strange land.

　それから宮にはいり、商売人たちを追い出しはじめて、

　彼らに言われた、「『わが家は祈の家であるべきだ』と書いてあるのに、あなたがたはそれを盗賊の巣にしてしまった」。

　イエスは毎日、宮で教えておられた。祭司長、律法学者また民衆の重立った者たちはイエスを殺そうと思っていたが、

　民衆がみな熱心にイエスに耳を傾けていたので、手のくだしようがなかった。

☆今日の『み言葉』

ルカによる福音 19:45-48

　神殿とは一体何か。時の権力者とイエスとの見解の相違がはっきりと表される箇所です。

　イエスは敬虔なユダヤ教徒と同じ考え方をしています。神殿は神の住まいであり、神様が民と共に歩まれている神聖な場所である、という考え方です。彼はたびたびこの場所で、神様の教えを群集に語っています。また彼の敬虔な家族が、イエスを神にささげた場所であり、彼の母であるマリアもこの神殿で神にささげられた神聖な場所です。

　神殿が造られた経緯やその意味が忘れ去られていることに、イエスは嘆いています。それは神様の嘆きかもしれません。「律法を廃するために来たのではない、完成するために来たのだ」という言葉と対になる箇所だと思います。

　神様は何を求めておられるのか、今一度、原点に立ち戻ることが求められているようです。

ルカによる福音 19:41-44

　いよいよ都の近くにきて、それが見えたとき、そのために泣いて言われた、

　「もしおまえも、この日に、平和をもたらす道を知ってさえいたら……しかし、それは今おまえの目に隠されている。

　いつかは、敵が周囲に塁を築き、おまえを取りかこんで、四方から押し迫り、

　おまえとその内にいる子らとを地に打ち倒し、城内の一つの石も他の石の上に残して置かない日が来るであろう。それは、おまえが神のおとずれの時を知らないでいたからである」。

☆今日の『み言葉』

ルカによる福音 19:41-44

　ルカは福音記者の中でも特にエルサレムにこだわりました。ルカはエルサレムを地上の中心と考えていましたが、単にエルサレムをユダヤ人の神殿がある場所のある聖地として考えたのではなく、イエスというまことのいけにえが献げられる地、イエスの死と復活によって建てられる新しいエルサレムの象徴と考えていました。

　さて、福音書の4割にあたる10章を費やして描いたイエスのエルサレムへの旅は終わり、いよいよエルサレムでの出来事がこれから展開されていくことになります。実はルカ福音書が書かれた頃には、すでにエルサレムが破壊されていましたから、今日の福音の箇所はいわゆる事後予告ということになります。しかし、私たちはイエスの涙に注目しましょう。イエスはエルサレムのために泣かれます。つまり、それは回心への呼びかけに応えない私たちのために泣かれるのです。この涙を見つめ、そしてこれからエルサレムで起こる出来事をしっかり見つめ黙想するとき、私たちの方が回心と喜びの涙を流すことになります。

マカバイ記一 2:15-30※

2章15節
　時に、背教を強いる王の役人たちが、異教のいけにえを献げさせるためにモデインの町にやって来た。

2章16節
　多くのイスラエル人が彼らを迎えに出、マタティアとその息子たちも集められた。

2章17節
　そこで王の役人たちは、マタティアに言った。「あなたはこの町では有力な指導者であり、御子息や御兄弟の信望もあつい。

2章18節
　率先して王の命令を果たしてもらいたい。これはすべての民族が実行しているもので、ユダの人々も、エルサレムに残留している者たちも行っているのだ。そうすれば、あなたや御子息たちは王の友人と認められ、金銀、その他多くの報奨を受ける栄誉にあずかるであろう。」

2章19節
　マタティアは大声でこれに答えて言った。「たとえ王の領土内に住む全民族が王に従い、各自その先祖の宗教を捨てて王の命令に服したとしても、

2章20節
　このわたしと息子たち、同胞たちはわたしたちの先祖の契約を守って歩みます。

2章21節
　律法と掟を捨てるなど、論外です。

2章22節
　わたしたちの宗教を離れて右や左に行けという王の命令に、従うつもりはありません。」

2章23節
　マタティアが語り終えたとき、一人のユダヤ人が一同の前に進み出て、王の命令に従いモデインの異教の祭壇にいけにえを献げようとした。

2章24節
　これを見たマタティアは律法への情熱にかられて立腹し、義憤を覚え、駆け寄りざまその祭壇の前でこの男を切り殺した。

2章25節
　またその時、いけにえを強要しに来ていた王の役人の一人をも殺し、この祭壇を引き倒した。

2章26節
　それは、あのサルの子ジムリに対してピネハスがしたような、律法への情熱から出た行為であった。

2章27節
　マタティアは町の中で大声をあげて言った。「律法に情熱を燃やす者、契約を固く守る者はわたしに続け。」

2章28節
　こうしてマタティアと息子たちは、家財一切を町に残したまま、山に逃れた。

2章29‐30節
　一方、これと時を同じくして、義と公正を求める多くの者が、妻子や家畜を伴って、荒れ野に下り、そこに住んだ。災いが迫って来たからである。

41 When he came near, he saw the city and wept over it,

42 saying, “If you, even you, had known today the things which belong to your peace! But now, they are hidden from your eyes.

43 For the days will come on you, when your enemies will throw up a barricade against you, surround you, hem you in on every side,

44 and will dash you and your children within you to the ground. They will not leave in you one stone on another, because you didn’t know the time of your visitation.”

1 Maccabees 2:15-29

15 And the king’s officers, that were enforcing the apostasy, came into the city Modin to sacrifice.

16 And many of Israel came to them, and Mattathias and his sons were gathered together.

17 And the king’s officers answered and spoke to Mattathias, saying, You are a ruler and an honourable and great man in this city, and strengthened with sons and brethren:

18 now therefore come you first and do the commandment of the king, as all the nations have done, and the men of Judah, and they that remain in Jerusalem: and you and your house shall be in the number of the king’s * Friends, and you and your sons shall be honoured with silver and gold and many gifts.

19 And Mattathias answered and said with a loud voice, If all the nations that are in the house of the king’s dominion hearken to him, to fall away each one from the worship of his fathers, and have made choice to follow his commandments,

20 yet will I and my sons and my brethren walk in the covenant of our fathers.

21 ‡ Heaven forbid that we should forsake the law and the ordinances. 22 We will not hearken to the king’s words, to go aside from our worship, on the right hand, or on the left.

23 And when he had left speaking these words, there came a Jew in the sight of all to sacrifice on the altar which was at Modin, according to the king’s commandment.

24 And Mattathias saw it, and his zeal was kindled, and his reins trembled, and he showed forth his wrath according to judgement, and ran, and killed him upon the altar.

25 And the king’s officer, who compelled men to sacrifice, he killed at that time, and pulled down the altar.

26 And he was zealous for the law, even as Phinehas did to Zimri the son of Salu.

27 And Mattathias cried out in the city with a loud voice, saying, Whosoever is zealous for the law, and maintains the covenant, let him come forth after me.

28 And he and his sons fled into the mountains, and forsook all that they had in the city.

29 Then many that sought after justice and judgement went down into the wilderness, to dwell there,

☆今日の聖書物語 *

ルカによる福音 19:11-28

　人々がこれらの言葉を聞いているときに、イエスはなお一つの譬をお話しになった。それはエルサレムに近づいてこられたし、また人々が神の国はたちまち現れると思っていたためである。

　それで言われた、「ある身分の高い人が、王位を受けて帰ってくるために遠い所へ旅立つことになった。

　そこで十人の僕を呼び十ミナを渡して言った、『わたしが帰って来るまで、これで商売をしなさい』。

　ところが、本国の住民は彼を憎んでいたので、あとから使者をおくって、『この人が王になるのをわれわれは望んでいない』と言わせた。

　さて、彼が王位を受けて帰ってきたとき、だれがどんなもうけをしたかを知ろうとして、金を渡しておいた僕たちを呼んでこさせた。

　最初の者が進み出て言った、『ご主人様、あなたの一ミナで十ミナをもうけました』。

　主人は言った、『よい僕よ、うまくやった。あなたは小さい事に忠実であったから、十の町を支配させる』。

　次の者がきて言った、『ご主人様、あなたの一ミナで五ミナをつくりました』。

　そこでこの者にも、『では、あなたは五つの町のかしらになれ』と言った。

　それから、もうひとりの者がきて言った、『ご主人様、さあ、ここにあなたの一ミナがあります。わたしはそれをふくさに包んで、しまっておきました。

　あなたはきびしい方で、おあずけにならなかったものを取りたて、おまきにならなかったものを刈る人なので、おそろしかったのです』。

　彼に言った、『悪い僕よ、わたしはあなたの言ったその言葉であなたをさばこう。わたしがきびしくて、あずけなかったものを取りたて、まかなかったものを刈る人間だと、知っているのか。

　では、なぜわたしの金を銀行に入れなかったのか。そうすれば、わたしが帰ってきたとき、その金を利子と一緒に引き出したであろうに』。

　そして、そばに立っていた人々に、『その一ミナを彼から取り上げて、十ミナを持っている者に与えなさい』と言った。

　彼らは言った、『ご主人様、あの人は既に十ミナを持っています』。

　『あなたがたに言うが、おおよそ持っている人には、なお与えられ、持っていない人からは、持っているものまでも取り上げられるであろう。

　しかしわたしが王になることを好まなかったあの敵どもを、ここにひっぱってきて、わたしの前で打ち殺せ』」。

　イエスはこれらのことを言ったのち、先頭に立ち、エルサレムへ上って行かれた。

☆今日の『み言葉』

ルカによる福音 19:11-28

　主人からしもべに与えられるムナというお金は、神様から私たちに与えられているたくさんのお恵みを表しています。まずこのことに気づくことが大切です。つまり、何よりもまず神様のお恵みが私たちに与えられているという事実です。どんな状況、境遇に置かれようとも、私は神様のお恵みを確かに受けている、私にはたくさんの良いものがすでに与えられている。これが私たちの信仰の根本的な姿勢です。

　ではそのお恵みにどのようにこたえるか。これが私たち一人一人に問われていることだと言えます。「良いしもべだ。よくやった。」主人にこのようにねぎらいの言葉をかけられるしもべのように、私たちも与えられたお恵みに感謝の心を持ちながら信仰の道を歩んでいきたいと思います。
