☆今日の聖書物語 *

ヨハネよる福音 6:44-51

　わたしをつかわされた父が引きよせて下さらなければ、だれもわたしに来ることはできない。わたしは、その人々を終りの日によみがえらせるであろう。

　預言者の書に、『彼らはみな神に教えられるであろう』と書いてある。父から聞いて学んだ者は、みなわたしに来るのである。

　神から出た者のほかに、だれかが父を見たのではない。その者だけが父を見たのである。

　よくよくあなたがたに言っておく。信じる者には永遠の命がある。

　わたしは命のパンである。

　あなたがたの先祖は荒野でマナを食べたが、死んでしまった。

　しかし、天から下ってきたパンを食べる人は、決して死ぬことはない。

　わたしは天から下ってきた生きたパンである。それを食べる者は、いつまでも生きるであろう。わたしが与えるパンは、世の命のために与えるわたしの肉である」。

☆今日の『み言葉』

ヨハネよる福音 6:44-51

　「わたしをお遣わしになった父が引き寄せてくださらなければ、誰も私のもとへ来ることは出来ない。」（ﾖﾊﾈ6:44）

　実際に第1朗読の中では、エチオピア人の宦官が、「手引きしてくれる人がいなければどうしてわかりましょう」と言っており、彼はフィリポの手引きを通して御父から引き寄せられ、洗礼を受けるに至っているのは、興味深いところです。

　私たちには「手引き」が必要であり、神様はいろんな形でそれを与えてくださっています。

　皆さんも、文字通り手を引かれて導かれた体験があるのではないでしょうか。

私は幼い頃、よく母から手を引かれて電車が通る広い道を渡ったものです。

いつしかその母の手をもう必要としなくなり、自分で自分の道を歩むようになりました。

そして今は、その母が私の手を必要とするようになっています。

　私たちは、聖母マリアさまから手を引かれて信仰の道を歩み始め、そして今も歩んでいるわけです。

そのマリア様に感謝して過ごしましょう。

同時に私たち自身も身近にいる人の「手引き」をする力と恵みが与えられるよう、マリア様の取次ぎを求めて祈りましょう。

　しかし、主の使がピリポにむかって言った、「立って南方に行き、エルサレムからガザへ下る道に出なさい」（このガザは、今は荒れはてている）。

　そこで、彼は立って出かけた。すると、ちょうど、エチオピヤ人の女王カンダケの高官で、女王の財宝全部を管理していた宦官であるエチオピヤ人が、礼拝のためエルサレムに上り、

　その帰途についていたところであった。彼は自分の馬車に乗って、預言者イザヤの書を読んでいた。

　御霊がピリポに「進み寄って、あの馬車に並んで行きなさい」と言った。

　そこでピリポが駆けて行くと、預言者イザヤの書を読んでいるその人の声が聞えたので、「あなたは、読んでいることが、おわかりですか」と尋ねた。

　彼は「だれかが、手びきをしてくれなければ、どうしてわかりましょう」と答えた。そして、馬車に乗って一緒にすわるようにと、ピリポにすすめた。

　彼が読んでいた聖書の箇所は、これであった、
「彼は、ほふり場に引かれて行く羊のように、
また、黙々として、
毛を刈る者の前に立つ小羊のように、
口を開かない。

　彼は、いやしめられて、
そのさばきも行われなかった。
だれが、彼の子孫のことを語ることができようか、
彼の命が地上から取り去られているからには」。

　宦官はピリポにむかって言った、「お尋ねしますが、ここで預言者はだれのことを言っているのですか。自分のことですか、それとも、だれかほかの人のことですか」。

　そこでピリポは口を開き、この聖句から説き起して、イエスのことを宣べ伝えた。

　道を進んで行くうちに、水のある所にきたので、宦官が言った、「ここに水があります。わたしがバプテスマを受けるのに、なんのさしつかえがありますか」。

　これに対して、ピリポは、「あなたがまごころから信じるなら、受けてさしつかえはありません」と言った。すると、彼は「わたしは、イエス・キリストを神の子と信じます」と答えた。〕

　そこで車をとめさせ、ピリポと宦官と、ふたりとも、水の中に降りて行き、ピリポが宦官にバプテスマを授けた。

8:39
　ふたりが水から上がると、主の霊がピリポをさらって行ったので、宦官はもう彼を見ることができなかった。宦官はよろこびながら旅をつづけた。

　その後、ピリポはアゾトに姿をあらわして、町々をめぐり歩き、いたるところで福音を宣べ伝えて、ついにカイザリヤに着いた。

Gospel : John 6:44-51

44 No one can come to me unless the Father who sent me draws him, and I will raise him up in the last day.

45 It is written in the prophets, ‘They will all be taught by God.’ ☆ Therefore everyone who hears from the Father, and has learnt, comes to me.

46 Not that anyone has seen the Father, except he who is from God. He has seen the Father.

47 Most certainly, I tell you, he who believes in me has eternal life.

48 I am the bread of life.

49 Your fathers ate the manna in the wilderness, and they died.

50 This is the bread which comes down out of heaven, that anyone may eat of it and not die.

51 I am the living bread which came down out of heaven. If anyone eats of this bread, he will live forever. Yes, the bread which I will give for the life of the world is my flesh.”

Acts 8:26-40

26 But an angel of the Lord spoke to Philip, saying, “Arise, and go towards the south to the way that goes down from Jerusalem to Gaza. This is a desert.”

27 He arose and went; and behold, there was a man of Ethiopia, a eunuch of great authority under Candace, queen of the Ethiopians, who was over all her treasure, who had come to Jerusalem to worship.

28 He was returning and sitting in his chariot, and was reading the prophet Isaiah.

29 The Spirit said to Philip, “Go near, and join yourself to this chariot.”

30 Philip ran to him, and heard him reading Isaiah the prophet, and said, “Do you understand what you are reading?”

31 He said, “How can I, unless someone explains it to me?” He begged Philip to come up and sit with him.

32 Now the passage of the Scripture which he was reading was this,
“He was led as a sheep to the slaughter.
As a lamb before his shearer is silent,
so he doesn’t open his mouth.

33 In his humiliation, his judgement was taken away.
Who will declare His generation?
For his life is taken from the earth.”☆

34 The eunuch answered Philip, “Who is the prophet talking about? About himself, or about someone else?”

35 Philip opened his mouth, and beginning from this Scripture, preached to him about Jesus.

36 As they went on the way, they came to some water, and the eunuch said, “Behold, here is water. What is keeping me from being baptised?”

37 *

38 He commanded the chariot to stand still, and they both went down into the water, both Philip and the eunuch, and he baptised him.

39 When they came up out of the water, the Spirit of the Lord caught Philip away, and the eunuch didn’t see him any more, for he went on his way rejoicing.

40 But Philip was found at Azotus. Passing through, he preached the Good News to all the cities, until he came to Caesarea.

☆今日の聖書物語 *

ヨハネよる福音 6:35-40

　イエスは彼らに言われた、「わたしが命のパンである。わたしに来る者は決して飢えることがなく、わたしを信じる者は決してかわくことがない。

　しかし、あなたがたに言ったが、あなたがたはわたしを見たのに信じようとはしない。

　父がわたしに与えて下さる者は皆、わたしに来るであろう。そして、わたしに来る者を決して拒みはしない。

　わたしが天から下ってきたのは、自分のこころのままを行うためではなく、わたしをつかわされたかたのみこころを行うためである。

　わたしをつかわされたかたのみこころは、わたしに与えて下さった者を、わたしがひとりも失わずに、終りの日によみがえらせることである。

　わたしの父のみこころは、子を見て信じる者が、ことごとく永遠の命を得ることなのである。そして、わたしはその人々を終りの日によみがえらせるであろう」。

☆今日の『み言葉』

ヨハネよる福音 6:35-40

　人は生きる為に苦労しながら自分の手で糧を得るのです。

ある人は主と共に仕事をします。

他の人は主を抜きにして仕事に励んでいます。

その違いはただ一つのものだと思われるかも知れません。

本当のことを言いますと、それは対照的な姿を表すものです。

つまり、イエスを信じるか信じないかと言うことにあります。

　イエスは、「私は命のパンである」と仰せになっています。

イエスの存在に驚きがあります。

イエスは、ご自分を受ける私たち一人ひとりを力で満たしてくださるのです。

イエスは、『人はパンだけで生きる者ではありません』と仰せになりました。

今日のエピソードを通して、イエスを信じる人々の信仰の報いが強調されていきます。

それは、『子を見て信じる人には皆、永遠の命がある』という事です。

更に、イエスは餓え渇きを満たすだけではなく、その『人を終りの日に復活させる』ことにあります。

イエスを信じることは、イエスに従うことであり、生き方と考え方を変えることです。

　『命のパンであるイエス様』、あなたは道しるべだけではなく、目的地なのです。

度々私たちのところに命のパンとして来て下さいます。

私たちが日々の仕事をしながら永遠の命を失う事がないように『命のパン』で、私たちの心も体も満たして下さい。

私たちを新たな驚きで満たして、あなたのみ旨を行うような人にしてください。

　ところが、サウロは家々に押し入って、男や女を引きずり出し、次々に獄に渡して、教会を荒し回った。

　さて、散らされて行った人たちは、御言を宣べ伝えながら、めぐり歩いた。

　ピリポはサマリヤの町に下って行き、人々にキリストを宣べはじめた。

　群衆はピリポの話を聞き、その行っていたしるしを見て、こぞって彼の語ることに耳を傾けた。

Gospel : John 6:35-40

35 Jesus said to them, “I am the bread of life. He who comes to me will not be hungry, and he who believes in me will never be thirsty.

36 But I told you that you have seen me, and yet you don’t believe.

37 All those whom the Father gives me will come to me. He who comes to me I will in no way throw out.

38 For I have come down from heaven, not to do my own will, but the will of him who sent me.

39 This is the will of my Father who sent me, that of all he has given to me I should lose nothing, but should raise him up at the last day.

40 This is the will of the one who sent me, that everyone who sees the Son, and believes in him, should have eternal life; and I will raise him up at the last day.”

Acts 8:1b-8

1 Saul was consenting to his death. A great persecution arose against the assembly which was in Jerusalem in that day. They were all scattered abroad throughout the regions of Judea and Samaria, except for the apostles.

2 Devout men buried Stephen, and lamented greatly over him.

3 But Saul ravaged the assembly, entering into every house, and dragged both men and women off to prison.

4 Therefore those who were scattered abroad went around preaching the word.

5 Philip went down to the city of Samaria, and proclaimed to them the Christ.

6 The multitudes listened with one accord to the things that were spoken by Philip, when they heard and saw the signs which he did.

7 For unclean spirits came out of many of those who had them. They came out, crying with a loud voice. Many who had been paralysed and lame were healed.

8 There was great joy in that city.

　彼らはイエスに言った、「わたしたちが見てあなたを信じるために、どんなしるしを行って下さいますか。どんなことをして下さいますか。

　わたしたちの先祖は荒野でマナを食べました。それは『天よりのパンを彼らに与えて食べさせた』と書いてあるとおりです」。

　そこでイエスは彼らに言われた、「よくよく言っておく。天からのパンをあなたがたに与えたのは、モーセではない。天からのまことのパンをあなたがたに与えるのは、わたしの父なのである。

　神のパンは、天から下ってきて、この世に命を与えるものである」。

　彼らはイエスに言った、「主よ、そのパンをいつもわたしたちに下さい」。

　イエスは彼らに言われた、「わたしが命のパンである。わたしに来る者は決して飢えることがなく、わたしを信じる者は決してかわくことがない。

☆今日の『み言葉』

ヨハネよる福音 6:30-35

　「それでは、私たちが見てあなたを信じることが出来るように、どんなしるしを行ってくださいますか。」

　人々の神様に対する飢え、渇きが伺えます。

もっと信じたい、神様がちゃんとおられ、働かれているということを実感したい。

この思いは、わたしたちにもあるものではないでしょうか。

もっと力強く信じたい、神様の現存を感じられるようになりたい、と。

　ところで、ミサの度ごとに私たちは、御聖体を頂きます。

まさにこの御聖体の秘跡こそが、神様の現存を私たちに示すものであり、私たちの信仰を養う糧、恵であることを改めて思い出すようにしましょう。

　「私は命のパンである。私のもとに来る者は決して飢えることがなく、私を信じる者は決して渇くことがない。」とイエス様は私たちにも言われます。

まだまだ信仰において飢え、渇きを感じるならば、もっと御聖体を深く味わい自分自身が神様と強く結ばれるように努めましょう。

32 Jesus therefore said to them, “Most certainly, I tell you, it wasn’t Moses who gave you the bread out of heaven, but my Father gives you the true bread out of heaven.

33 For the bread of God is that which comes down out of heaven, and gives life to the world.”

ヨハネよる福音 6:22-29

　その翌日、海の向こう岸に立っていた群衆は、そこに小舟が一そうしかなく、またイエスは弟子たちと一緒に小舟にお乗りにならず、ただ弟子たちだけが船出したのを見た。

　しかし、数そうの小舟がテベリヤからきて、主が感謝されたのちパンを人々に食べさせた場所に近づいた。

　群衆は、イエスも弟子たちもそこにいないと知って、それらの小舟に乗り、イエスをたずねてカペナウムに行った。

　そして、海の向こう岸でイエスに出会ったので言った、「先生、いつ、ここにおいでになったのですか」。

　イエスは答えて言われた、「よくよくあなたがたに言っておく。あなたがたがわたしを尋ねてきているのは、しるしを見たためではなく、パンを食べて満腹したからである。

　朽ちる食物のためではなく、永遠の命に至る朽ちない食物のために働くがよい。これは人の子があなたがたに与えるものである。父なる神は、人の子にそれをゆだねられたのである」。

　そこで、彼らはイエスに言った、「神のわざを行うために、わたしたちは何をしたらよいでしょうか」。

　イエスは彼らに答えて言われた、「神がつかわされた者を信じることが、神のわざである」。

イエス様がご復活されたから、
この世の目で、もう見ないでください。

イエス様がご復活されたから、
この世の心で、もう感じないでください。

ご復活されたイエス様を信じている人の頭と心には
ワガママを捨て、
他人に思いやりをし、
深い信仰で信じる人です。

あなたはイエス様が本当にご復活されたのを信じていますか？

そういう人になるように、聖ステファノの取り次ぎによって神様にお祈りしましょう。

　すると、いわゆる「リベルテン」の会堂に属する人々、クレネ人、アレキサンドリヤ人、キリキヤやアジヤからきた人々などが立って、ステパノと議論したが、

　彼は知恵と御霊とで語っていたので、それに対抗できなかった。

　そこで、彼らは人々をそそのかして、「わたしたちは、彼がモーセと神とを汚す言葉を吐くのを聞いた」と言わせた。

Gospel : John 6:22-29

22 On the next day, the multitude that stood on the other side of the sea saw that there was no other boat there, except the one in which his disciples had embarked, and that Jesus hadn’t entered with his disciples into the boat, but his disciples had gone away alone.

23 However boats from Tiberias came near to the place where they ate the bread after the Lord had given thanks.

24 When the multitude therefore saw that Jesus wasn’t there, nor his disciples, they themselves got into the boats, and came to Capernaum, seeking Jesus.

25 When they found him on the other side of the sea, they asked him, “Rabbi, when did you come here?”

26 Jesus answered them, “Most certainly I tell you, you seek me, not because you saw signs, but because you ate of the loaves, and were filled.

27 Don’t work for the food which perishes, but for the food which remains to eternal life, which the Son of Man will give to you. For God the Father has sealed him.”

28 They said therefore to him, “What must we do, that we may work the works of God?”

29 Jesus answered them, “This is the work of God, that you believe in him whom he has sent.”

Acts 6:8-15

8 Stephen, full of faith and power, performed great wonders and signs amongst the people.

9 But some of those who were of the synagogue called “The Libertines”, and of the Cyrenians, of the Alexandrians, and of those of Cilicia and Asia arose, disputing with Stephen.

10 They weren’t able to withstand the wisdom and the Spirit by which he spoke.

11 Then they secretly induced men to say, “We have heard him speak blasphemous words against Moses and God.”

12 They stirred up the people, the elders, and the scribes, and came against him and seized him, and brought him in to the council,

13 and set up false witnesses who said, “This man never stops speaking blasphemous words against this holy place and the law.

14 For we have heard him say that this Jesus of Nazareth will destroy this place, and will change the customs which Moses delivered to us.”

15 All who sat in the council, fastening their eyes on him, saw his face like it was the face of an angel.

　この日、ふたりの弟子が、エルサレムから七マイルばかり離れたエマオという村へ行きながら、

　このいっさいの出来事について互に語り合っていた。

　語り合い論じ合っていると、イエスご自身が近づいてきて、彼らと一緒に歩いて行かれた。

　しかし、彼らの目がさえぎられて、イエスを認めることができなかった。

　イエスは彼らに言われた、「歩きながら互に語り合っているその話は、なんのことなのか」。彼らは悲しそうな顔をして立ちどまった。

　そのひとりのクレオパという者が、答えて言った、「あなたはエルサレムに泊まっていながら、あなただけが、この都でこのごろ起ったことをご存じないのですか」。

　「それは、どんなことか」と言われると、彼らは言った、「ナザレのイエスのことです。あのかたは、神とすべての民衆との前で、わざにも言葉にも力ある預言者でしたが、

　祭司長たちや役人たちが、死刑に処するために引き渡し、十字架につけたのです。

　わたしたちは、イスラエルを救うのはこの人であろうと、望みをかけていました。しかもその上に、この事が起ってから、きょうが三日目なのです。

　ところが、わたしたちの仲間である数人の女が、わたしたちを驚かせました。というのは、彼らが朝早く墓に行きますと、

　イエスのからだが見当らないので、帰ってきましたが、そのとき御使が現れて、『イエスは生きておられる』と告げたと申すのです。

　それで、わたしたちの仲間が数人、墓に行って見ますと、果して女たちが言ったとおりで、イエスは見当りませんでした」。

　そこでイエスが言われた、「ああ、愚かで心のにぶいため、預言者たちが説いたすべての事を信じられない者たちよ。

　キリストは必ず、これらの苦難を受けて、その栄光に入るはずではなかったのか」。

　こう言って、モーセやすべての預言者からはじめて、聖書全体にわたり、ご自身についてしるしてある事どもを、説きあかされた。

　それから、彼らは行こうとしていた村に近づいたが、イエスがなお先へ進み行かれる様子であった。

　そこで、しいて引き止めて言った、「わたしたちと一緒にお泊まり下さい。もう夕暮になっており、日もはや傾いています」。イエスは、彼らと共に泊まるために、家にはいられた。

　一緒に食卓につかれたとき、パンを取り、祝福してさき、彼らに渡しておられるうちに、

　彼らの目が開けて、それがイエスであることがわかった。すると、み姿が見えなくなった。

　彼らは互に言った、「道々お話しになったとき、また聖書を説き明してくださったとき、お互の心が内に燃えたではないか」。

　そして、すぐに立ってエルサレムに帰って見ると、十一弟子とその仲間が集まっていて、

　「主は、ほんとうによみがえって、シモンに現れなさった」と言っていた。

　そこでふたりの者は、途中であったことや、パンをおさきになる様子でイエスだとわかったことなどを話した。

「ユダヤの人たち、ならびにエルサレムに住むすべてのかたがた、どうか、この事を知っていただきたい。わたしの言うことに耳を傾けていただきたい。

　イスラエルの人たちよ、今わたしの語ることを聞きなさい。あなたがたがよく知っているとおり、ナザレ人イエスは、神が彼をとおして、あなたがたの中で行われた数々の力あるわざと奇跡としるしとにより、神からつかわされた者であることを、あなたがたに示されたかたであった。

Gospel: Luke 24:13-35

13 Behold, two of them were going that very day to a village named Emmaus, which was sixty stadia* from Jerusalem.

14 They talked with each other about all of these things which had happened.

15 While they talked and questioned together, Jesus himself came near, and went with them.

16 But their eyes were kept from recognising him.

17 He said to them, “What are you talking about as you walk, and are sad?”

18 One of them, named Cleopas, answered him, “Are you the only stranger in Jerusalem who doesn’t know the things which have happened there in these days?”

19 He said to them, “What things?”
They said to him, “The things concerning Jesus, the Nazarene, who was a prophet mighty in deed and word before God and all the people;

20 and how the chief priests and our rulers delivered him up to be condemned to death, and crucified him.

21 But we were hoping that it was he who would redeem Israel. Yes, and besides all this, it is now the third day since these things happened.

22 Also, certain women of our company amazed us, having arrived early at the tomb;

23 and when they didn’t find his body, they came saying that they had also seen a vision of angels, who said that he was alive.

24 Some of us went to the tomb, and found it just like the women had said, but they didn’t see him.”

25 He said to them, “Foolish men, and slow of heart to believe in all that the prophets have spoken!

26 Didn’t the Christ have to suffer these things and to enter into his glory?”

27 Beginning from Moses and from all the prophets, he explained to them in all the Scriptures the things concerning himself.

28 They came near to the village, where they were going, and he acted like he would go further.

29 They urged him, saying, “Stay with us, for it is almost evening, and the day is almost over.”
He went in to stay with them.

30 When he had sat down at the table with them, he took the bread and gave thanks. Breaking it, he gave to them.

31 Their eyes were opened, and they recognised him, and he vanished out of their sight.

32 They said to one another, “Weren’t our hearts burning within us, while he spoke to us along the way, and while he opened the Scriptures to us?”

33 They rose up that very hour, returned to Jerusalem, and found the eleven gathered together, and those who were with them,

34 saying, “The Lord is risen indeed, and has appeared to Simon!”

35 They related the things that happened along the way, and how he was recognised by them in the breaking of the bread.

14 But Peter, standing up with the eleven, lifted up his voice, and spoke out to them, “You men of Judea, and all you who dwell at Jerusalem, let this be known to you, and listen to my words.

22 “Men of Israel, hear these words! Jesus of Nazareth, a man approved by God to you by mighty works and wonders and signs which God did by him amongst you, even as you yourselves know,

23 him, being delivered up by the determined counsel and foreknowledge of God, you have taken by the hand of lawless men, crucified and killed;

24 whom God raised up, having freed him from the agony of death, because it was not possible that he should be held by it.

25 For David says concerning him,
‘I saw the Lord always before my face,
For he is on my right hand, that I should not be moved.

26 Therefore my heart was glad, and my tongue rejoiced.
Moreover my flesh also will dwell in hope;

27 because you will not leave my soul in Hades,†
neither will you allow your Holy One to see decay.

28 You made known to me the ways of life.
You will make me full of gladness with your presence.’☆

29 “Brothers, I may tell you freely of the patriarch David, that he both died and was buried, and his tomb is with us to this day.

30 Therefore, being a prophet, and knowing that God had sworn with an oath to him that of the fruit of his body, according to the flesh, he would raise up the Christ to sit on his throne,

31 he foreseeing this spoke about the resurrection of the Christ, that neither was his soul left in Hades,‡ nor did his flesh see decay.

32 This Jesus God raised up, to which we all are witnesses.

33 Being therefore exalted by the right hand of God, and having received from the Father the promise of the Holy Spirit, he has poured out this, which you now see and hear.

☆今日の聖書物語 *

マルコによる福音 16:15-20

　信じてバプテスマを受ける者は救われる。しかし、不信仰の者は罪に定められる。

　信じる者には、このようなしるしが伴う。すなわち、彼らはわたしの名で悪霊を追い出し、新しい言葉を語り、

　へびをつかむであろう。また、毒を飲んでも、決して害を受けない。病人に手をおけば、いやされる」。

　主イエスは彼らに語り終ってから、天にあげられ、神の右にすわられた。

　弟子たちは出て行って、至る所で福音を宣べ伝えた。主も彼らと共に働き、御言に伴うしるしをもって、その確かなことをお示しになった。〕

☆今日の『み言葉』

マルコによる福音 16:15-20

　今日の福音はイエスの宣教命令です。

しかし、イエスは弟子たちを送りっぱなしにはしません。

「共に」働いてくださり、語ることばが真実であることを「お示し」になるのです。

これほどの希望はありません。

　しかし、同時に宣教は挑戦です。

わたしたちが「自分」ではなく、「福音」を語るようにと招かれているからです。

折がよくても悪くても、自分にとって心地よい言葉であっても、

耳の痛い言葉であっても、自分が倣いたい「ひとびとから慕われるイエスの行ない」であっても、

できれば避けて通りたい「イエスの十字架」であっても、

何も付け加えずそのままに語り、そのままに生きるとき、

初めて私たちの語る言葉・行ないはすべての造られたものに対する「福音」となるのではないでしょうか。

　その思いを新たにして、今日の「出会い」を始めてみたいと思います。

Gospel : Mark 16:15-20

15 He said to them, “Go into all the world, and preach the Good News to the whole creation. 16 He who believes and is baptised will be saved; but he who disbelieves will be condemned.

17 These signs will accompany those who believe: in my name they will cast out demons; they will speak with new languages;

18 they will take up serpents; and if they drink any deadly thing, it will in no way hurt them; they will lay hands on the sick, and they will recover.”

19 So then the Lord,‡ after he had spoken to them, was received up into heaven, and sat down at the right hand of God.

20 They went out, and preached everywhere, the Lord working with them, and confirming the word by the signs that followed. Amen.

ヨハネによる福音 6:1-15

　そののち、イエスはガリラヤの海、すなわち、テベリヤ湖の向こう岸へ渡られた。

　すると、大ぜいの群衆がイエスについてきた。病人たちになさっていたしるしを見たからである。

　イエスは山に登って、弟子たちと一緒にそこで座につかれた。

　時に、ユダヤ人の祭である過越が間近になっていた。

　イエスは目をあげ、大ぜいの群衆が自分の方に集まって来るのを見て、ピリポに言われた、「どこからパンを買ってきて、この人々に食べさせようか」。

　これはピリポをためそうとして言われたのであって、ご自分ではしようとすることを、よくご承知であった。

　すると、ピリポはイエスに答えた、「二百デナリのパンがあっても、めいめいが少しずついただくにも足りますまい」。

　弟子のひとり、シモン・ペテロの兄弟アンデレがイエスに言った、

　「ここに、大麦のパン五つと、さかな二ひきとを持っている子供がいます。しかし、こんなに大ぜいの人では、それが何になりましょう」。

　イエスは「人々をすわらせなさい」と言われた。その場所には草が多かった。そこにすわった男の数は五千人ほどであった。

　そこで、イエスはパンを取り、感謝してから、すわっている人々に分け与え、また、さかなをも同様にして、彼らの望むだけ分け与えられた。

　人々がじゅうぶんに食べたのち、イエスは弟子たちに言われた、「少しでもむだにならないように、パンくずのあまりを集めなさい」。

　そこで彼らが集めると、五つの大麦のパンを食べて残ったパンくずは、十二のかごにいっぱいになった。

　人々はイエスのなさったこのしるしを見て、「ほんとうに、この人こそ世にきたるべき預言者である」と言った。

　イエスは人々がきて、自分をとらえて王にしようとしていると知って、ただひとり、また山に退かれた。

☆今日の『み言葉』

ヨハネによる福音 6:1-15

　人間の現実を見て、悟り、確かめるイエスの目は、

人間の体も心も人生も満たされていないばかりか危険な状態にあることを見せるイエスの心の窓です。

　人間についてのこの心配を弟子たちと分かち合う方法で解決を促す素晴らしさがイエスに見えますが、

複雑な状況にいる人々を「助けたい」イエスの慈しむ心から湧く質問が今でも聞かせられています。

　人々のために尽す?やる気?が弟子（の私たち）に乏しく、

真っ先に自分の困難さを伝える（私たちの）反応にイエスが驚いたような感じです。

奇跡の後もそうです。

食べて満腹し、驚くことしかできなくて、

いつまでも?助かりたい?群衆の反応にまだ神様の計らいを感じることの鈍さを不思議がるイエスは一人で退き、

自分を支える糧をおん父に求めに行く姿はまた感動的だと感じています。

　先ごろ、チゥダが起って、自分を何か偉い者のように言いふらしたため、彼に従った男の数が、四百人ほどもあったが、結局、彼は殺されてしまい、従った者もみな四散して、全く跡方もなくなっている。

　そののち、人口調査の時に、ガリラヤ人ユダが民衆を率いて反乱を起したが、この人も滅び、従った者もみな散らされてしまった。

　そこで、この際、諸君に申し上げる。あの人たちから手を引いて、そのなすままにしておきなさい。その企てや、しわざが、人間から出たものなら、自滅するだろう。

Gospel : John 6:1-15

1 After these things, Jesus went away to the other side of the sea of Galilee, which is also called the Sea of Tiberias.

2 A great multitude followed him, because they saw his signs which he did on those who were sick.

3 Jesus went up into the mountain, and he sat there with his disciples.

4 Now the Passover, the feast of the Jews, was at hand.

5 Jesus therefore lifting up his eyes, and seeing that a great multitude was coming to him, said to Philip, “Where are we to buy bread, that these may eat?”

6 This he said to test him, for he himself knew what he would do.

7 Philip answered him, “Two hundred denarii worth of bread is not sufficient for them, that everyone of them may receive a little.”

8 One of his disciples, Andrew, Simon Peter’s brother, said to him,

9 “There is a boy here who has five barley loaves and two fish, but what are these amongst so many?”

10 Jesus said, “Have the people sit down.” Now there was much grass in that place. So the men sat down, in number about five thousand.

11 Jesus took the loaves; and having given thanks, he distributed to the disciples, and the disciples to those who were sitting down; likewise also of the fish as much as they desired.

12 When they were filled, he said to his disciples, “Gather up the broken pieces which are left over, that nothing be lost.”

13 So they gathered them up, and filled twelve baskets with broken pieces from the five barley loaves, which were left over by those who had eaten.

36 For before these days Theudas rose up, making himself out to be somebody; to whom a number of men, about four hundred, joined themselves: who was slain; and all, as many as obeyed him, were dispersed, and came to nothing.

37 After this man, Judas of Galilee rose up in the days of the enrolment, and drew away some people after him. He also perished, and all, as many as obeyed him, were scattered abroad.

38 Now I tell you, withdraw from these men, and leave them alone. For if this counsel or this work is of men, it will be overthrown.

39 But if it is of God, you will not be able to overthrow it, and you would be found even to be fighting against God!”

40 They agreed with him. Summoning the apostles, they beat them and commanded them not to speak in the name of Jesus, and let them go.

41 They therefore departed from the presence of the council, rejoicing that they were counted worthy to suffer dishonour for Jesus’ name.

42 Every day, in the temple and at home, they never stopped teaching and preaching Jesus, the Christ.

☆今日の『み言葉』

ヨハネによる福音 3:31-36

　「人間に従うよりも、神に従わなくてはなりません。」

　今日の二つの朗読に共通して流れる一つの対比があります。

それは「神の思い」と「人間の思い」です。

福音では「地から出るものは地に属し、地に属するものとして語る。〜

神がお遣わしになった方は、神の言葉を話される。」と言っています。

この対比は私たちの生活の反省の材料になるでしょう。

私たちは、周りの「人間」が私たちをどう思っているか気にしていますか、それとも「神」が私たちのことをどう思っているのか気にしていますか、どちらでしょうか。

もし周りの人間の思いが私たちを縛っているなら、それはもしかしたら私たちが「地に属するもの」の証拠かもしれません。

32 What he has seen and heard, of that he testifies; and no one receives his witness.

33 He who has received his witness has set his seal to this, that God is true.

34 For he whom God has sent speaks the words of God; for God gives the Spirit without measure.

35 The Father loves the Son, and has given all things into his hand.

36 One who believes in the Son has eternal life, but one who disobeys ‡ the Son won’t see life, but the wrath of God remains on him.”

　神はそのひとり子を賜わったほどに、この世を愛して下さった。それは御子を信じる者がひとりも滅びないで、永遠の命を得るためである。

　神が御子を世につかわされたのは、世をさばくためではなく、御子によって、この世が救われるためである。

　彼を信じる者は、さばかれない。信じない者は、すでにさばかれている。神のひとり子の名を信じることをしないからである。

　そのさばきというのは、光がこの世にきたのに、人々はそのおこないが悪いために、光よりもやみの方を愛したことである。

　悪を行っている者はみな光を憎む。そして、そのおこないが明るみに出されるのを恐れて、光にこようとはしない。

　しかし、真理を行っている者は光に来る。その人のおこないの、神にあってなされたということが、明らかにされるためである。

☆今日の『み言葉』

ヨハネによる福音 3:16-21

　今日のヨハネの福音のテーマは「光」と「闇」。「光」は真理と命と救いを示すキーワードに対して、「闇」は悪と死と裁きを示すものです。

　児童養護施設に入所している子供たちの多くは一人で眠れません。

だから、本読みをしてあげながら添い寝をします。子供が寝入った後は、電気スタンドの明かりは点けたままにしておきます。

なるべく光は当たらないようにして。

闇を恐れるからです。

それでも夜叫を起して部屋から飛び出してくる子もいます。

寝ている間にも「不安」という闇が襲ってくるのです。

　救いをもたらすことよりも、裁くことのほうがはるかに簡単であることが私たちの現実です。

朝起きない、食べない、遅刻する、学校に行かない、夜間徘徊、万引き・・・「どうして！」と闇を恐れる子供たちをよく裁き、さらに闇へと追い込んでしまうのです。

「光が世に来たのに」、その光のうちに生きているはずなのに。

　自分のそばにいる人に、光をもたらすことができるように、光の与え主に祈るように致しましょう。

Gospel : John 3:16-21

16 For God so loved the world, that he gave his one and only Son, that whoever believes in him should not perish, but have eternal life.

17 For God didn’t send his Son into the world to judge the world, but that the world should be saved through him.

18 He who believes in him is not judged. He who doesn’t believe has been judged already, because he has not believed in the name of the one and only Son of God.

19 This is the judgement, that the light has come into the world, and men loved the darkness rather than the light; for their works were evil.

20 For everyone who does evil hates the light, and doesn’t come to the light, lest his works would be exposed.

21 But he who does the truth comes to the light, that his works may be revealed, that they have been done in God.”

ACTS 5:17-26

17 But the high priest rose up, and all those who were with him (which is the sect of the Sadducees), and they were filled with jealousy,

18 and laid hands on the apostles, and put them in public custody.

19 But an angel of the Lord opened the prison doors by night, and brought them out, and said,

20 “Go stand and speak in the temple to the people all the words of this life.”

21 When they heard this, they entered into the temple about daybreak, and taught. But the high priest came, and those who were with him, and called the council together, and all the senate of the children of Israel, and sent to the prison to have them brought.

22 But the officers who came didn’t find them in the prison. They returned and reported,

23 “We found the prison shut and locked, and the guards standing before the doors, but when we opened them, we found no one inside!”

24 Now when the high priest, the captain of the temple, and the chief priests heard these words, they were very perplexed about them and what might become of this.

25 One came and told them, “Behold, the men whom you put in prison are in the temple, standing and teaching the people.”

26 Then the captain went with the officers, and brought them without violence, for they were afraid that the people might stone them.

　あなたがたは新しく生れなければならない

　風は思いのままに吹く。あなたはその音を聞くが、それがどこからきて、どこへ行くかは知らない。霊から生れる者もみな、それと同じである」。

　ニコデモはイエスに答えて言った、「どうして、そんなことがあり得ましょうか」。

　イエスは彼に答えて言われた、「あなたはイスラエルの教師でありながら、これぐらいのことがわからないのか。

　よくよく言っておく。わたしたちは自分の知っていることを語り、また自分の見たことをあかししているのに、あなたがたはわたしたちのあかしを受けいれない。

　わたしが地上のことを語っているのに、あなたがたが信じないならば、天上のことを語った場合、どうしてそれを信じるだろうか。

　天から下ってきた者、すなわち人の子のほかには、だれも天に上った者はない。

　そして、ちょうどモーセが荒野でへびを上げたように、人の子もまた上げられなければならない。

☆今日の『み言葉』

ヨハネによる福音 3:7a, 8-15

　「新しく生まれねばならない」。

私たちは毎日の生活の中で、いろいろなものに影響を受けています。

出会う人、生活の場である環境そのもの、出かけていった先での出来事などなど、いろいろあります。

その中で私たちは信仰生活を続けます。

今日の福音にありますように、日々新しくなって、主イエスの後に従う者となるように努めます。

つまり心が新しくされる必要があります。

今のままでいい、これ以上自分は変化を求めないという状態は、霊の働きかけ拒んでいるようにも思えます。

風はどこから吹いて、どこにいくのかなかなかわかりません。

でも風を感じること、風が通ったことを確認することはできます。

霊の働きかけも、その人の姿を通して（あるいは自分自身のふり返りにおいて）確認できるものともいえましょう。

主イエスの後に従う者として、主が担われた十字架の神秘も黙想しつつ今日という日をていねいにすごしていきましょう。

Gospel : John 3:7b-15

7b ‘You must be born anew.’

8 The wind† blows where it wants to, and you hear its sound, but don’t know where it comes from and where it is going. So is everyone who is born of the Spirit.”

9 Nicodemus answered him, “How can these things be?”

10 Jesus answered him, “Are you the teacher of Israel, and don’t understand these things?

11 Most certainly I tell you, we speak that which we know, and testify of that which we have seen, and you don’t receive our witness.

12 If I told you earthly things and you don’t believe, how will you believe if I tell you heavenly things?

13 No one has ascended into heaven, but he who descended out of heaven, the Son of Man, who is in heaven.

14 As Moses lifted up the serpent in the wilderness, even so must the Son of Man be lifted up,

15 that whoever believes in him should not perish, but have eternal life.

Acts 4:32-37

32 The multitude of those who believed were of one heart and soul. Not one of them claimed that anything of the things which he possessed was his own, but they had all things in common.

34 For neither was there amongst them any who lacked, for as many as were owners of lands or houses sold them, and brought the proceeds of the things that were sold,

35 and laid them at the apostles’ feet, and distribution was made to each, according as anyone had need.

36 Joses, who by the apostles was also called Barnabas (which is, being interpreted, Son of Encouragement), a Levite, a man of Cyprus by race,

37 having a field, sold it, and brought the money and laid it at the apostles’ feet.

☆今日の聖書物語 *

ヨハネによる福音 3:1-8

　パリサイ人のひとりで、その名をニコデモというユダヤ人の指導者があった。

　この人が夜イエスのもとにきて言った、「先生、わたしたちはあなたが神からこられた教師であることを知っています。神がご一緒でないなら、あなたがなさっておられるようなしるしは、だれにもできはしません」。

　イエスは答えて言われた、「よくよくあなたに言っておく。だれでも新しく生れなければ、神の国を見ることはできない」。

　ニコデモは言った、「人は年をとってから生れることが、どうしてできますか。もう一度、母の胎にはいって生れることができましょうか」。

　イエスは答えられた、「よくよくあなたに言っておく。だれでも、水と霊とから生れなければ、神の国にはいることはできない。

　肉から生れる者は肉であり、霊から生れる者は霊である。

　あなたがたは新しく生れなければならないと、わたしが言ったからとて、不思議に思うには及ばない。

　風は思いのままに吹く。あなたはその音を聞くが、それがどこからきて、どこへ行くかは知らない。霊から生れる者もみな、それと同じである」。

☆今日の『み言葉』

ヨハネによる福音 3:1-8

　神の国に入るためには、だれでも水と霊によって新たに生まれなければならないことが明確に示されました。

神の国というのは「神が王として恵みと力とをもって支配されること」（新共同約聖書の解説から）であり、「神の支配」とか「御旨の行われている状態」とかいう表現も、時々目にします。

共観福音書（マタイ・マルコ・ルカ）では、たとえ話によって神の国を丁寧に説明していて、そちらも参考にして頂きたいのですが、ヨハネによると、それは「水と霊によって新たに生まれた者のみが入れる」ということですから、これは「教会」と言い換えて差し支えないでしょう。

　そこで、私たちへの挑戦が浮き彫りにされて来ます。

教会において、神の御旨はどの程度実現しているのか。

個人的には「結構いい線行ってるんじゃない？」と思うのですが、より相応しい形で救いがもたらされるようにと、常に私たちが心を配ることも神の望みの一つのようです。

どうでしょう、主があなたにも何かを望んでおられますよ。
