六日の後、イエスは、ただペテロ、ヤコブ、ヨハネだけを連れて、高い山に登られた。ところが、彼らの目の前でイエスの姿が変り、
その衣は真白く輝き、どんな布さらしでも、それほどに白くすることはできないくらいになった。
すると、エリヤがモーセと共に彼らに現れて、イエスと語り合っていた。
ペテロはイエスにむかって言った、「先生、わたしたちがここにいるのは、すばらしいことです。それで、わたしたちは小屋を三つ建てましょう。一つはあなたのために、一つはモーセのために、一つはエリヤのために」。
そう言ったのは、みんなの者が非常に恐れていたので、ペテロは何を言ってよいか、わからなかったからである。
すると、雲がわき起って彼らをおおった。そして、その雲の中から声があった、「これはわたしの愛する子である。これに聞け」。

これらの事の後、神はアブラハムを試みて彼に言われた、「アブラハムよ」。彼は言った、「ここにおります」。 22:2神は言われた、「あなたの子、あなたの愛するひとり子イサクを連れてモリヤの地に行き、わたしが示す山で彼を燔祭としてささげなさい」。

彼らが神の示された場所にきたとき、アブラハムはそこに祭壇を築き、

そしてアブラハムが手を差し伸べ、刃物を執ってその子を殺そうとした時、
22:11
主の使が天から彼を呼んで言った、「アブラハムよ、アブラハムよ」。彼は答えた、「はい、ここにおります」。

それでアブラハムはその所の名をアドナイ・エレと呼んだ。これにより、人々は今日もなお「主の山に備えあり」と言う。

Gospel : Mark 9:2-10
2 After six days Jesus took with him Peter, James, and John, and brought them up onto a high mountain privately by themselves, and he was changed into another form in front of them.
3 His clothing became glistening, exceedingly white, like snow, such as no launderer on earth can whiten them.
4 Elijah and Moses appeared to them, and they were talking with Jesus.
5 Peter answered Jesus, “Rabbi, it is good for us to be here. Let’s make three tents: one for you, one for Moses, and one for Elijah.”
6 For he didn’t know what to say, for they were very afraid.
7 A cloud came, overshadowing them, and a voice came out of the cloud, “This is my beloved Son. Listen to him.”
8 Suddenly looking around, they saw no one with them any more, except Jesus only.
9 As they were coming down from the mountain, he commanded them that they should tell no one what things they had seen, until after the Son of Man had risen from the dead.
10 They kept this saying to themselves, questioning what the “rising from the dead” meant.

1 After these things, God tested Abraham, and said to him, “Abraham!”
He said, “Here I am.”
2 He said, “Now take your son, your only son, whom you love, even Isaac, and go into the land of Moriah. Offer him there as a burnt offering on one of the mountains which I will tell you of.”
9a They came to the place which God had told him of. Abraham built the altar there, and laid the wood in order,
10 Abraham stretched out his hand, and took the knife to kill his son.
11 the LORD’s angel called to him out of the sky, and said, “Abraham, Abraham!”
He said, “Here I am.”
12 He said, “Don’t lay your hand on the boy or do anything to him. For now I know that you fear God, since you have not withheld your son, your only son, from me.”
13 Abraham lifted up his eyes, and looked, and saw that behind him was a ram caught in the thicket by his horns. Abraham went and took the ram, and offered him up for a burnt offering instead of his son.
15 the LORD’s angel called to Abraham a second time out of the sky, 16 and said, “I have sworn by myself, says the LORD, because you have done this thing, and have not withheld your son, your only son,
17 that I will bless you greatly, and I will multiply your offspring greatly like the stars of the heavens, and like the sand which is on the seashore. Your offspring will possess the gate of his enemies.
18 All the nations of the earth will be blessed by your offspring, because you have obeyed my voice.”

31b If God is for us, who can be against us?
32 He who didn’t spare his own Son, but delivered him up for us all, how would he not also with him freely give us all things?
33 Who could bring a charge against God’s chosen ones? It is God who justifies.
34 Who is he who condemns? It is Christ who died, yes rather, who was raised from the dead, who is at the right hand of God, who also makes intercession for us.

（マタイによる福音 5:43-48）
『隣り人を愛し、敵を憎め』と言われていたことは、あなたがたの聞いているところである。
しかし、わたしはあなたがたに言う。敵を愛し、迫害する者のために祈れ。
こうして、天にいますあなたがたの父の子となるためである。天の父は、悪い者の上にも良い者の上にも、太陽をのぼらせ、正しい者にも正しくない者にも、雨を降らして下さるからである。
あなたがたが自分を愛する者を愛したからとて、なんの報いがあろうか。そのようなことは取税人でもするではないか。
兄弟だけにあいさつをしたからとて、なんのすぐれた事をしているだろうか。そのようなことは異邦人でもしているではないか。
それだから、あなたがたの天の父が完全であられるように、あなたがたも完全な者となりなさい。

＜今日の『み言葉』＞
（マタイによる福音 5:43-48）
神様が分け隔てなく人を受け入れる方であることを教えています。
それは「完全」である父の一つの姿でもあります。
マタイ福音記者は「私たちも父のように分け隔てなく他人を受け入れるように」といいます。
そのためにどうしたらいいのかも示唆しています。
それは自分を愛してくれないし、あいさつもしてくれない人を受け入れる努力をすることです。
私たち人間の一つの欠点は、心のなかに他人に対して壁を作ることです。
いい人と判断した人は受け入れても、そうでないと判断した人を受け入れることができません。
心の中の壁が他人を受け入れないからです。
私たちが体験する他人とのトラブルの根源は、私たちの心のなかに嫌いだと感じたその人を素直に受け入れる寛大さがないために、いつまでも関係が修復できない、優しい人になりたいのに実現できないままでいることです。
その壁を壊すことができ、すべての人を平等に受け入れる心になれたときに、完全であられる父の姿に近づいたことになるのでしょう。
「完全」ということばが遠くのものに感じてしまいますが、日々の生活のなかで他人を受け入れる小さな努力を重ねることを忘れないようにしたいものです。

（マタイによる福音 5:20-26）
わたしは言っておく。あなたがたの義が律法学者やパリサイ人の義にまさっていなければ、決して天国に、はいることはできない。
昔の人々に『殺すな。殺す者は裁判を受けねばならない』と言われていたことは、あなたがたの聞いているところである。
しかし、わたしはあなたがたに言う。兄弟に対して怒る者は、だれでも裁判を受けねばならない。兄弟にむかって愚か者と言う者は、議会に引きわたされるであろう。また、ばか者と言う者は、地獄の火に投げ込まれるであろう。
だから、祭壇に供え物をささげようとする場合、兄弟が自分に対して何かうらみをいだいていることを、そこで思い出したなら、
その供え物を祭壇の前に残しておき、まず行ってその兄弟と和解し、それから帰ってきて、供え物をささげることにしなさい。
あなたを訴える者と一緒に道を行く時には、その途中で早く仲直りをしなさい。そうしないと、その訴える者はあなたを裁判官にわたし、裁判官は下役にわたし、そして、あなたは獄に入れられるであろう。
よくあなたに言っておく。最後の一コドラントを支払ってしまうまでは、決してそこから出てくることはできない。

（マタイによる福音 5:20-26）
マタイ福音記者の言葉を借りれば、「天の国に入る条件」は、地上ではあなたの隣人と和解することであり、天上に向かっては神との和解が勧められています。
どういう人であれ、自分が行った全ての背きから離れて、イエスが語られる言葉を受け入れ、その生き方に沿って生きるのであれば（エゼキエルは正義と恵みのわざと呼んでいる）、自分の命を救うことができる。
マタイが言う「天の国」に入れるのです。
朽ちる命や朽ちる冠を得るのではなく、朽ちない永遠の命を受け継ぎ、まさに「生きている」と言われるようになるのです。
私達への勧めは一貫して「信じて行うこと」です。

20 For I tell you that unless your righteousness exceeds that of the scribes and Pharisees, there is no way you will enter into the Kingdom of Heaven.
21 “You have heard that it was said to the ancient ones, ‘You shall not murder;’ and ‘Whoever murders will be in danger of the judgement.’
22 But I tell you, that everyone who is angry with his brother without a cause will be in danger of the judgement; and whoever says to his brother, ‘Raca!’ will be in danger of the council; and whoever says, ‘You fool!’ will be in danger of the fire of Gehenna.
23 “If therefore you are offering your gift at the altar, and there remember that your brother has anything against you,
24 leave your gift there before the altar, and go your way. First be reconciled to your brother, and then come and offer your gift.
25 Agree with your adversary quickly, while you are with him on the way; lest perhaps the prosecutor deliver you to the judge, and the judge deliver you to the officer, and you be cast into prison.
26 Most certainly I tell you, you shall by no means get out of there, until you have paid the last penny.

21 But if the wicked turn from all his sins that he has committed, and keep all my statutes, and do that which is lawful and right, he shall surely live, he shall not die.

23 Have I any pleasure in the death of the wicked? says the Lord GOD; and not rather that he should return from his way, and live?
24 But when the righteous turns away from his righteousness, and commits iniquity, and does according to all the abominations that the wicked man does, shall he live? None of his righteous deeds that he has done shall be remembered: in his trespass that he has trespassed, and in his sin that he has sinned, in them shall he die.
25 Yet you say, The way of the Lord is not equal. Hear now, house of Israel: Is my way not equal? Aren’t your ways unequal?
26 When the righteous man turns away from his righteousness, and commits iniquity, and dies therein; in his iniquity that he has done shall he die.
27 Again, when the wicked man turns away from his wickedness that he has committed, and does that which is lawful and right, he shall save his soul alive.
28 Because he considers, and turns away from all his transgressions that he has committed, he shall surely live, he shall not die.

あなたがたのうちで、自分の子がパンを求めるのに、石を与える者があろうか。
魚を求めるのに、へびを与える者があろうか。
このように、あなたがたは悪い者であっても、自分の子供には、良い贈り物をすることを知っているとすれば、天にいますあなたがたの父はなおさら、求めてくる者に良いものを下さらないことがあろうか。

自分が神様から良い物を与えられたと気づく人は、その恵みを同じように人々にも与えることができるのです。
そのような人は、いつも感謝の心で、神様に信頼し、自分を人に与えることができる人です。
わたしたちがより神の恵みに気づき、その恵みをまわりの人々に分かち合うことができますように。

10 Or if he asks for a fish, who will give him a serpent?
11 If you then, being evil, know how to give good gifts to your children, how much more will your Father who is in heaven give good things to those who ask him!
12 Therefore whatever you desire for men to do to you, you shall also do to them; for this is the law and the prophets.

さて群衆が群がり集まったので、イエスは語り出された、「この時代は邪悪な時代である。それはしるしを求めるが、ヨナのしるしのほかには、なんのしるしも与えられないであろう。
というのは、ニネベの人々に対してヨナがしるしとなったように、人の子もこの時代に対してしるしとなるであろう。
南の女王が、今の時代の人々と共にさばきの場に立って、彼らを罪に定めるであろう。なぜなら、彼女はソロモンの知恵を聞くために、地の果からはるばるきたからである。しかし見よ、ソロモンにまさる者がここにいる。
ニネベの人々が、今の時代の人々と共にさばきの場に立って、彼らを罪に定めるであろう。なぜなら、ニネベの人々はヨナの宣教によって悔い改めたからである。しかし見よ、ヨナにまさる者がここにいる。

この四旬節は、「十字架」というしるしをしっかりと見つめて過ごす大切な時です。
私たちは主の十字架を見つめることによって、神様とのつながりを意識し、人とのつながりを振り返り、大切なことに気付き、また思い出すのです。
そして回心を重ねながら、新たに豊かな生き方を学びます。
ヨナや主がしるしとなられたように、私たちも回心を通して、まわりの人々の対してしるしとなるよう努力するように致しましょう。
神様の愛に触れた者としてのしるしを表せるように、希望や喜び、励ましをそばにいる人にもたらすしるしとなれますように、祈りつつ。

「立って、あの大きな町ニネベに行き、あなたに命じる言葉をこれに伝えよ」。

そこでヨナは主の言葉に従い、立って、ニネベに行った。ニネベは非常に大きな町であって、これを行きめぐるには、三日を要するほどであった。
3:4
ヨナはその町にはいり、初め一日路を行きめぐって呼ばわり、「四十日を経たらニネベは滅びる」と言った。
3:5
そこでニネベの人々は神を信じ、断食をふれ、大きい者から小さい者まで荒布を着た。
3:6
このうわさがニネベの王に達すると、彼はその王座から立ち上がり、朝服を脱ぎ、荒布をまとい、灰の中に座した。
3:7
また王とその大臣の布告をもって、ニネベ中にふれさせて言った、「人も獣も牛も羊もみな、何をも味わってはならない。物を食い、水を飲んではならない。
3:8
人も獣も荒布をまとい、ひたすら神に呼ばわり、おのおのその悪い道およびその手にある強暴を離れよ。
3:9
あるいは神はみ心をかえ、その激しい怒りをやめて、われわれを滅ぼされないかもしれない。だれがそれを知るだろう」。

Gospel : Luke 11:29-32
29 When the multitudes were gathering together to him, he began to say, “This is an evil generation. It seeks after a sign. No sign will be given to it but the sign of Jonah, the prophet.
30 For even as Jonah became a sign to the Ninevites, so will also the Son of Man be to this generation.
31 The Queen of the South will rise up in the judgement with the men of this generation, and will condemn them: for she came from the ends of the earth to hear the wisdom of Solomon; and behold, one greater than Solomon is here.
32 The men of Nineveh will stand up in the judgement with this generation, and will condemn it: for they repented at the preaching of Jonah, and behold, one greater than Jonah is here.

Jonah 3:1-10
1 the LORD’s word came to Jonah the second time, saying,
2 “Arise, go to Nineveh, that great city, and preach to it the message that I give you.”
3 So Jonah arose, and went to Nineveh, according to the LORD’s word. Now Nineveh was an exceedingly great city, three days’ journey across.
4 Jonah began to enter into the city a day’s journey, and he cried out, and said, “In forty days, Nineveh will be overthrown!”
5 The people of Nineveh believed God; and they proclaimed a fast, and put on sackcloth, from their greatest even to their least.
6 The news reached the king of Nineveh, and he arose from his throne, and took off his royal robe, covered himself with sackcloth, and sat in ashes.
7 He made a proclamation and published through Nineveh by the decree of the king and his nobles, saying, “Let neither man nor animal, herd nor flock, taste anything; let them not feed, nor drink water;
8 but let them be covered with sackcloth, both man and animal, and let them cry mightily to God. Yes, let them turn everyone from his evil way, and from the violence that is in his hands.
9 Who knows whether God will not turn and relent, and turn away from his fierce anger, so that we might not perish?”
10 God saw their works, that they turned from their evil way. God relented of the disaster which he said he would do to them, and he didn’t do it.

また、祈る場合、異邦人のように、くどくどと祈るな。彼らは言葉かずが多ければ、聞きいれられるものと思っている。
だから、彼らのまねをするな。あなたがたの父なる神は、求めない先から、あなたがたに必要なものはご存じなのである。
だから、あなたがたはこう祈りなさい、
天にいますわれらの父よ、
御名があがめられますように。
御国がきますように。
みこころが天に行われるとおり、
地にも行われますように。
わたしたちの日ごとの食物を、
きょうもお与えください。
わたしたちに負債のある者をゆるしましたように、

＜今日の『み言葉』＞
（マタイによる福音 6:7-15）
イエス様が祈りを教えてくださっています。
その前に「あなたがたの父は願う前からあなた方に必要なものをご存知なのだ」と言われています。
あなた方が「欲しいもの」ではなく、「必要なもの」と。
「必要なもの」とは必ずしも「欲しいもの」とは限らず、同じものではありません。
求めているものとは必ずしも同じではありませんが、ただ欲しいものではなく、必要なものが与えられるように、このように祈りなさいと教えられています。
人が祈る時にはおおいにして自分の欲しいものがそのまま与えられることを求めたり、自分の思い通りなること、願いがかなうことを求めてくどくどと必死になって祈りがちです。
しかし、イエス様は欲しいものではなく、本当に必要なものを求めてこう祈りなさいと、一つの祈りを教えてくださっています。
私たちが祈る時には、自分勝手な利己的な思いを乗り越えて、神様に委ね必要なものが与えられるように祈るように致しましょう。
そして「必要な糧」が与えられたら、感謝して素直に受け止めましょう。
たとえそれが苦いものであったとしても。
それはしっかりと受け止めることによって、自分が思いもしないとても大きな恵になるのですから。

7 In praying, don’t use vain repetitions, as the Gentiles do; for they think that they will be heard for their much speaking.
8 Therefore don’t be like them, for your Father knows what things you need, before you ask him.
9 Pray like this: ‘Our Father in heaven, may your name be kept holy.
10 Let your Kingdom come. Let your will be done, as in heaven, so on earth.
11 Give us today our daily bread.
12 Forgive us our debts, as we also forgive our debtors.
13 Bring us not into temptation, but deliver us from the evil one. For yours is the Kingdom, the power, and the glory forever. Amen.’

イエスがピリポ・カイザリヤの地方に行かれたとき、弟子たちに尋ねて言われた、「人々は人の子をだれと言っているか」。
彼らは言った、「ある人々はバプテスマのヨハネだと言っています。しかし、ほかの人たちは、エリヤだと言い、また、エレミヤあるいは預言者のひとりだ、と言っている者もあります」。
そこでイエスは彼らに言われた、「それでは、あなたがたはわたしをだれと言うか」。
シモン・ペテロが答えて言った、「あなたこそ、生ける神の子キリストです」。
すると、イエスは彼にむかって言われた、「バルヨナ・シモン、あなたはさいわいである。あなたにこの事をあらわしたのは、血肉ではなく、天にいますわたしの父である。
そこで、わたしもあなたに言う。あなたはペテロである。そして、わたしはこの岩の上にわたしの教会を建てよう。黄泉の力もそれに打ち勝つことはない。
わたしは、あなたに天国のかぎを授けよう。そして、あなたが地上でつなぐことは、天でもつながれ、あなたが地上で解くことは天でも解かれるであろう」。

「聖ペトロの使徒座の記念日は、使徒ペトロを礎として建てられた教会の一致のしるしとして、すでに四世紀にローマで祝われていた。」（『毎日の読書』より）
今日の福音箇所に見られるイエス様とペトロのやりとりは興味深いものです。
「私は誰か言ってみなさい」という質問にペトロが答えたとき、イエス様は「それでは私もあなたが誰であるか言っておこう」と言って彼を教会の礎に据えられました。
人間は、イエスは誰なのかという問いに答え続けることで、自分は何者なのかということをより深く理解できるのだと思います。
今日の集会祈願は、「イエスはメシア、生ける神の子」という聖ペトロと同じ信仰を宣言する私たちのことに触れます。
彼のように信仰を宣言するならば（不完全な、弱い信仰であっても）、イエス様はペトロに答えたのと同じように、私たちが誰であるのか、私たちの使命は何であるのかをきっと教えてくださることでしょう。

14 They said, “Some say John the Baptiser, some, Elijah, and others, Jeremiah, or one of the prophets.”
15 He said to them, “But who do you say that I am?”
16 Simon Peter answered, “You are the Christ, the Son of the living God.”
17 Jesus answered him, “Blessed are you, Simon Bar Jonah, for flesh and blood has not revealed this to you, but my Father who is in heaven.
18 I also tell you that you are Peter, and on this rock I will build my assembly, and the gates of Hades will not prevail against it.
19 I will give to you the keys of the Kingdom of Heaven, and whatever you bind on earth will have been bound in heaven; and whatever you release on earth will have been released in heaven.”

1 Therefore I exhort the elders amongst you, as a fellow elder, and a witness of the sufferings of Christ, and who will also share in the glory that will be revealed.
2 Shepherd the flock of God which is amongst you, exercising the oversight, not under compulsion, but voluntarily, not for dishonest gain, but willingly;
3 neither as lording it over those entrusted to you, but making yourselves examples to the flock.
4 When the chief Shepherd is revealed, you will receive the crown of glory that doesn’t fade away.

13 Now when Jesus came into the parts of Caesarea Philippi, he asked his disciples, saying, “Who do men say that I, the Son of Man, am?”
14 They said, “Some say John the Baptiser, some, Elijah, and others, Jeremiah, or one of the prophets.”
15 He said to them, “But who do you say that I am?”
16 Simon Peter answered, “You are the Christ, the Son of the living God.”
17 Jesus answered him, “Blessed are you, Simon Bar Jonah, for flesh and blood has not revealed this to you, but my Father who is in heaven.
18 I also tell you that you are Peter, and on this rock I will build my assembly, and the gates of Hades will not prevail against it.
19 I will give to you the keys of the Kingdom of Heaven, and whatever you bind on earth will have been bound in heaven; and whatever you release on earth will have been released in heaven.”

1 Peter 5:1-4
1 Therefore I exhort the elders amongst you, as a fellow elder, and a witness of the sufferings of Christ, and who will also share in the glory that will be revealed.
2 Shepherd the flock of God which is amongst you, exercising the oversight, not under compulsion, but voluntarily, not for dishonest gain, but willingly;
3 neither as lording it over those entrusted to you, but making yourselves examples to the flock.
4 When the chief Shepherd is revealed, you will receive the crown of glory that doesn’t fade away.

神はノアおよび共にいる子らに言われた、
9:9
「わたしはあなたがた及びあなたがたの後の子孫と契約を立てる。
9:10
またあなたがたと共にいるすべての生き物、あなたがたと共にいる鳥、家畜、地のすべての獣、すなわち、すべて箱舟から出たものは、地のすべての獣にいたるまで、わたしはそれと契約を立てよう。
9:11
わたしがあなたがたと立てるこの契約により、すべて肉なる者は、もはや洪水によって滅ぼされることはなく、また地を滅ぼす洪水は、再び起らないであろう」。
9:12
さらに神は言われた、「これはわたしと、あなたがた及びあなたがたと共にいるすべての生き物との間に代々かぎりなく、わたしが立てる契約のしるしである。

すなわち、わたしは雲の中に、にじを置く。これがわたしと地との間の契約のしるしとなる。

こうして、彼は獄に捕われている霊どものところに下って行き、宣べ伝えることをされた。
3:20
これらの霊というのは、むかしノアの箱舟が造られていた間、神が寛容をもって待っておられたのに従わなかった者どものことである。その箱舟に乗り込み、水を経て救われたのは、わずかに八名だけであった。
3:21
この水はバプテスマを象徴するものであって、今やあなたがたをも救うのである。それは、イエス・キリストの復活によるのであって、からだの汚れを除くことではなく、明らかな良心を神に願い求めることである。
3:22
キリストは天に上って神の右に座し、天使たちともろもろの権威、権力を従えておられるのである。

13 He was there in the wilderness forty days tempted by Satan. He was with the wild animals; and the angels were serving him.
14 Now after John was taken into custody, Jesus came into Galilee, preaching the Good News of God’s Kingdom,
15 and saying, “The time is fulfilled, and God’s Kingdom is at hand! Repent, and believe in the Good News.”

Genesis 9:8-15
8 God spoke to Noah and to his sons with him, saying,
9 “As for me, behold, I establish my covenant with you, and with your offspring after you,
10 and with every living creature that is with you: the birds, the livestock, and every animal of the earth with you, of all that go out of the ship, even every animal of the earth.
11 I will establish my covenant with you: All flesh will not be cut off any more by the waters of the flood. There will never again be a flood to destroy the earth.”
12 God said, “This is the token of the covenant which I make between me and you and every living creature that is with you, for perpetual generations:
13 I set my rainbow in the cloud, and it will be a sign of a covenant between me and the earth.
14 When I bring a cloud over the earth, that the rainbow will be seen in the cloud, 15 and I will remember my covenant, which is between me and you and every living creature of all flesh, and the waters will no more become a flood to destroy all flesh.

18 Because Christ also suffered for sins once, the righteous for the unrighteous, that he might bring you to God; being put to death in the flesh, but made alive in the spirit;
19 in which he also went and preached to the spirits in prison,
20 who before were disobedient, when God waited patiently in the days of Noah, while the ship was being built. In it, few, that is, eight souls, were saved through water.
21 This is a symbol of baptism, which now saves you--not the putting away of the filth of the flesh, but the answer of a good conscience towards God, through the resurrection of Jesus Christ,
22 who is at the right hand of God, having gone into heaven, angels and authorities and powers being made subject to him.

そののち、イエスが出て行かれると、レビという名の取税人が収税所にすわっているのを見て、「わたしに従ってきなさい」と言われた。
すると、彼はいっさいを捨てて立ちあがり、イエスに従ってきた。
それから、レビは自分の家で、イエスのために盛大な宴会を催したが、取税人やそのほか大ぜいの人々が、共に食卓に着いていた。
ところが、パリサイ人やその律法学者たちが、イエスの弟子たちに対してつぶやいて言った、「どうしてあなたがたは、取税人や罪人などと飲食を共にするのか」。
イエスは答えて言われた、「健康な人には医者はいらない。いるのは病人である。
わたしがきたのは、義人を招くためではなく、罪人を招いて悔い改めさせるためである」。

時に私たちは、イエスがまさに自分のために来てくれた、という事実を見失ってしまう。
自分の周りの弱い（と思える）人を見つけて、彼らはイエスを必要としている、などと思うのだ。
だが、私たちが、自分が罪人でイエスを心から必要としている、ということを知っている時に、イエスは私たちと共にいて、共に席についている。

今年の四旬節の最初の金曜日。
昔、四旬節の金曜日は断食の日でした。
現在、断食の日は灰の水曜日と聖金曜日になりました。
二日しか残っていないのですが、私たちは四旬節に別の断食に呼ばれていると思います。
この四旬節、何の「断食」をしなければならないのでしょう？
「ワガママの断食」ですか？「ゲームの断食」ですか？ お酒？タバコ？真夜中のテレビ？
しかし、ただ断食をするだけでは意味がないと思います。
私たちは人に対する思いやりの心が強くなるため、愛がさらに深くなるために断食をするわけです・・・
つまり、イエス様のようになるためです。

15 Jesus said to them, “Can the friends of the bridegroom mourn, as long as the bridegroom is with them? But the days will come when the bridegroom will be taken away from them, and then they will fast.

Isaiah 58:1-9a
1 “Cry aloud, don’t spare.
Lift up your voice like a trumpet.
Declare to my people their disobedience,
and to the house of Jacob their sins.
2 Yet they seek me daily,
and delight to know my ways.
As a nation that did righteousness,
and didn’t forsake the ordinance of their God,
they ask of me righteous judgements.
They delight to draw near to God.
3 ‘Why have we fasted,’ say they, ‘and you don’t see?
Why have we afflicted our soul, and you don’t notice?’
“Behold, in the day of your fast you find pleasure,
and oppress all your labourers.
4 Behold, you fast for strife and contention,
and to strike with the fist of wickedness.
You don’t fast today so as to make your voice to be heard on high.

それから、みんなの者に言われた、「だれでもわたしについてきたいと思うなら、自分を捨て、日々自分の十字架を負うて、わたしに従ってきなさい。
自分の命を救おうと思う者はそれを失い、わたしのために自分の命を失う者は、それを救うであろう。
人が全世界をもうけても、自分自身を失いまたは損したら、なんの得になろうか。

＜今日の『み言葉』＞
（ルカによる福音 9:22-25）
イエス様は「私の十字架」ではなく「自分（あなた）の十字架」を担いなさいと言われます。
「自分の十字架」とは何でしょうか？
縦と横に組まれた十字架を見つめて考えていると、あるものが浮かんできました。
それは「人間関係」。
生きている以上、人は誰でもこの縦横の人のつながり、十字架の中で生きていきます。
決していい加減にすべきものではなく、しっかりと受け止めるべきものであり、自分のことだけを考えると、バランスを崩して歪んでしまう十字架です。
支えあって出来るもので、この関係の中に神はおられるのです。
この十字架を「自分の十字架」としてしっかりと背負って私たちは生きていくのだと考えられます。
背負っていく「自分の十字架」とは何か？
四旬節の始まりにあたり、今一度考えて見ましょう。
