（ルカによる福音 10:1-12）
その後、主は別に七十二人を選び、行こうとしておられたすべての町や村へ、ふたりずつ先におつかわしになった。
そのとき、彼らに言われた、「収穫は多いが、働き人が少ない。だから、収穫の主に願って、その収穫のために働き人を送り出すようにしてもらいなさい。
さあ、行きなさい。わたしがあなたがたをつかわすのは、小羊をおおかみの中に送るようなものである。
財布も袋もくつも持って行くな。だれにも道であいさつするな。
どこかの家にはいったら、まず『平安がこの家にあるように』と言いなさい。
もし平安の子がそこにおれば、あなたがたの祈る平安はその人の上にとどまるであろう。もしそうでなかったら、それはあなたがたの上に帰って来るであろう。
それで、その同じ家に留まっていて、家の人が出してくれるものを飲み食いしなさい。働き人がその報いを得るのは当然である。家から家へと渡り歩くな。
どの町へはいっても、人々があなたがたを迎えてくれるなら、前に出されるものを食べなさい。
そして、その町にいる病人をいやしてやり、『神の国はあなたがたに近づいた』と言いなさい。
しかし、どの町へはいっても、人々があなたがたを迎えない場合には、大通りに出て行って言いなさい、

＜今日の『み言葉』＞
（ルカによる福音 10:1-12）
朗読箇所の少し前から福音書の雰囲気が変わります。「イエスは [...] エルサレムに向かう決意を固められた。」（9:51）
イエスはご自分がエルサレムで死なねばならないということをご存知であり、それを受け入れるものとして描かれています。
腹を括ったわけです。今日の朗読箇所では、弟子の赴く町が彼らを歓迎するかしないかに関わらず、伝えられるメッセージは一貫して「神の国は近づいた」です。
腹を括ったイエスは否応なしに人々のもとにやってくるのです。そして人々にも決断を迫ります。
神の国を受け入れる覚悟はあるのか、と（9:57-62）。
神の国の到来は裁きを伴います（10：10-12,13-16）が、私たちは神から遣わされたイエスを受け入れました。
今日の福音は私たちに呼びかけています、今一度イエスとともに覚悟を決め、腹を括るようにと。そうすれば平和が訪れるはずです（10:6）。

その時民は皆ひとりのようになって水の門の前の広場に集まり、主がイスラエルに与えられたモーセの律法の書を持って来るように、学者エズラに求めた。
8:2
祭司エズラは七月の一日に律法を携えて来て、男女の会衆およびすべて聞いて悟ることのできる人々の前にあらわれ、
8:3
水の門の前にある広場で、あけぼのから正午まで、男女および悟ることのできる人々の前でこれを読んだ。民はみな律法の書に耳を傾けた。
8:4a
学者エズラはこの事のために、かねて設けた木の台の上に立った
8:5
エズラはすべての民の前にその書を開いた。彼はすべての民よりも高い所にいたからである。彼が書を開くと、すべての民は起立した。
8:6
エズラは大いなる神、主をほめ、民は皆その手をあげて、「アァメン、アァメン」と言って答え、こうべをたれ、地にひれ伏して主を拝した。

そして彼らに言った、「あなたがたは去って、肥えたものを食べ、甘いものを飲みなさい。その備えのないものには分けてやりなさい。この日はわれわれの主の聖なる日です。憂えてはならない。主を喜ぶことはあなたがたの力です」。

レビびともまたすべての民を静めて、「泣くことをやめなさい。この日は聖なる日です。憂えてはならない」と言った。
8:12
すべての民は去って食い飲みし、また分け与えて、大いに喜んだ。これは彼らが読み聞かされた言葉を悟ったからである。

Gospel : Luke 10:1-12
1 Now after these things, the Lord also appointed seventy others, and sent them two by two ahead of him into every city and place, where he was about to come.
2 Then he said to them, “The harvest is indeed plentiful, but the labourers are few. Pray therefore to the Lord of the harvest, that he may send out labourers into his harvest.
3 Go your ways. Behold, I send you out as lambs amongst wolves.
4 Carry no purse, nor wallet, nor sandals. Greet no one on the way.
5 Into whatever house you enter, first say, ‘Peace be to this house.’
6 If a son of peace is there, your peace will rest on him; but if not, it will return to you.
7 Remain in that same house, eating and drinking the things they give, for the labourer is worthy of his wages. Don’t go from house to house.
8 Into whatever city you enter, and they receive you, eat the things that are set before you.
9 Heal the sick who are therein, and tell them, ‘God’s Kingdom has come near to you.’
10 But into whatever city you enter, and they don’t receive you, go out into its streets and say,
11 ‘Even the dust from your city that clings to us, we wipe off against you. Nevertheless know this, that God’s Kingdom has come near to you.’
12 I tell you, it will be more tolerable in that day for Sodom than for that city.

Nehemiah 8:1-4a, 5-6, 7b-12
1 All the people gathered themselves together as one man into the wide place that was in front of the water gate; and they spoke to Ezra the scribe to bring the book of the law of Moses, which the LORD had commanded to Israel.
2 Ezra the priest brought the law before the assembly, both men and women, and all who could hear with understanding, on the first day of the seventh month.
3 He read from it before the wide place that was in front of the water gate from early morning until midday, in the presence of the men and the women, and of those who could understand. The ears of all the people were attentive to the book of the law.
4a Ezra the scribe stood on a pulpit of wood, which they had made for the purpose;
5 Ezra opened the book in the sight of all the people (for he was above all the people), and when he opened it, all the people stood up.
6 Then Ezra blessed the LORD, the great God.
All the people answered, “Amen, Amen,” with the lifting up of their hands. They bowed their heads, and worshipped the LORD with their faces to the ground.
7b and the people stayed in their place.
8 They read in the book, in the law of God, distinctly; and they gave the sense, so that they understood the reading.
9 Nehemiah, who was the governor, and Ezra the priest and scribe, and the Levites who taught the people, said to all the people, “Today is holy to the LORD your God. Don’t mourn, nor weep.” For all the people wept when they heard the words of the law.
10 Then he said to them, “Go your way. Eat the fat, drink the sweet, and send portions to him for whom nothing is prepared, for today is holy to our Lord. Don’t be grieved, for the joy of the LORD is your strength.”
11 So the Levites calmed all the people, saying, “Hold your peace, for the day is holy. Don’t be grieved.”
12 All the people went their way to eat, to drink, to send portions, and to celebrate, because they had understood the words that were declared to them.

＜今日の聖書物語 *＞
（ヨハネによる福音 1:47-51）
イエスはナタナエルが自分の方に来るのを見て、彼について言われた、「見よ、あの人こそ、ほんとうのイスラエル人である。その心には偽りがない」。
ナタナエルは言った、「どうしてわたしをご存じなのですか」。イエスは答えて言われた、「ピリポがあなたを呼ぶ前に、わたしはあなたが、いちじくの木の下にいるのを見た」。
ナタナエルは答えた、「先生、あなたは神の子です。あなたはイスラエルの王です」。
イエスは答えて言われた、「あなたが、いちじくの木の下にいるのを見たと、わたしが言ったので信じるのか。これよりも、もっと大きなことを、あなたは見るであろう」。
また言われた、「よくよくあなたがたに言っておく。天が開けて、神の御使たちが人の子の上に上り下りするのを、あなたがたは見るであろう」。

＜今日の『み言葉』＞
（ヨハネによる福音 1:47-51）
私が幼い頃、自分のベッドの上に額に飾られた小さな１枚の絵がかけられていたことを今でも覚えています。
その絵には小さな子供を導いている天使が描かれていました。
天使は子供の手を引いて歩きながら、「こっちだよ」と言っているように進む方向を指差していました。
地面には小さく蛇も描かれていました。
私が天使というものを考えるとき、いつもこの絵が浮かんできます。
そしてこの絵のおかげでしょうか、天使を思い浮かべるとき、同時に神様の暖かい愛を感じることができます。
天使とはどのようなものか、そもそも天使がいるのかということが議論の的になることもありますが、私にとって、天使とは「神様の愛が私に直接届いているのだ」、「神様は常に私のことを心にかけ、いろんな方法で私に接してくださろうとしている」ことを思い出させてくれるきっかけになります。
ベッドの上にかけられていた絵は、残念ながら引っ越しなどでどこかにいってしまいましたが、あの天使の姿は今でも私に「神様はこっちだよ」と指をさして手を引いてくれている気がします。

さて、イエスが天に上げられる日が近づいたので、エルサレムへ行こうと決意して、その方へ顔をむけられ、
自分に先立って使者たちをおつかわしになった。そして彼らがサマリヤ人の村へはいって行き、イエスのために準備をしようとしたところ、
村人は、エルサレムへむかって進んで行かれるというので、イエスを歓迎しようとはしなかった。
弟子のヤコブとヨハネとはそれを見て言った、「主よ、いかがでしょう。彼らを焼き払ってしまうように、天から火をよび求めましょうか」。
イエスは振りかえって、彼らをおしかりになった。
そして一同はほかの村へ行った。

＜今日の『み言葉』＞
（ルカによる福音 9:51-56）
人々から、田舎あつかいをされたガリラヤ。
そこには湖があり、きれいな花が咲き乱れ、心なごむガリラヤで、苦しみ、苦しめられて人々、病んでいるものを癒され、多くの人々に、父なる神のメッセージを伝えたイエス。
ある意味で、のびのびとした宣教の姿がほうふつされるガリラヤを離れて、イエスは自身に与えられた本格的な使命を果たすために、エルサレムに向かわれます。
「エルサレムに向かう決意をされた」という言葉の真意は「顔を固められた」ということです。
これから、自分に降りかかってくる苦しみ、あざけり、不理解などを一身に受けようとする覚悟のほどがうかがわれます。
まず、途中、サマリアを通られます。
犬猿の仲であるサマリアはイエスを受け入れません。
弟子たちは怒り、災いを招こうとします。
弟子たちの思いやりをイエスは叱りました。
再三、予告したイエスの受難を彼らは理解していなかった。
エルサレムの途上では、弟子たちの不理解は謎のままでした。
師であるイエスの言葉が、腹の底から呑み込めたのは、ご復活の後でした。

51 It came to pass, when the days were near that he should be taken up, he intently set his face to go to Jerusalem,
52 and sent messengers before his face. They went, and entered into a village of the Samaritans, so as to prepare for him.
53 They didn’t receive him, because he was travelling with his face set towards Jerusalem.
54 When his disciples, James and John, saw this, they said, “Lord, do you want us to command fire to come down from the sky, and destroy them, just as Elijah did?”
55 But he turned and rebuked them, “You don’t know of what kind of spirit you are.
56 For the Son of Man didn’t come to destroy men’s lives, but to save them.”
They went to another village.

20 the LORD of Armies says: “Many peoples, and the inhabitants of many cities will yet come;

＜今日の聖書物語 *＞
（ルカによる福音 9:46-50）
弟子たちの間に、彼らのうちでだれがいちばん偉いだろうかということで、議論がはじまった。
イエスは彼らの心の思いを見抜き、ひとりの幼な子を取りあげて自分のそばに立たせ、彼らに言われた、
「だれでもこの幼な子をわたしの名のゆえに受けいれる者は、わたしを受けいれるのである。そしてわたしを受けいれる者は、わたしをおつかわしになったかたを受けいれるのである。あなたがたみんなの中でいちばん小さい者こそ、大きいのである」。
するとヨハネが答えて言った、「先生、わたしたちはある人があなたの名を使って悪霊を追い出しているのを見ましたが、その人はわたしたちの仲間でないので、やめさせました」。
イエスは彼に言われた、「やめさせないがよい。あなたがたに反対しない者は、あなたがたの味方なのである」。

＜今日の『み言葉』＞
（ルカによる福音 9:46-50）
今日の福音は、私たちキリスト者の基準のようなものを示しているということができると思います。
私たちは、神に受け入れられたいと思っています。
実際、神は私たちを受け入れてくださっています。
では、私たちは神を本当に受け入れているでしょうか。
その基準になるのが、この個所であります。
神は私たちがいつも受け入れやすいと思えるように、私たちの都合のいいように私たちの側にいらっしゃるわけではありません。
時には、騒がしく、言うことを聞かず、自分に反抗し、罵倒してくる時もあるわけです。
自分の時間をどうしてこの人（子）のために使わなければならないのか、と思ってしまうこともあるでしょう。
実にその通りです。
しかし、神が私たちを受け入れてくださったように、私たちが誰かを、時には自分自身を受け入れるとき、私たちは本当の意味で、つまり自分の都合と関係なしに、神をお迎えすることになるのでしょう。

イエスは彼らの心の思いを見抜き、ひとりの幼な子を取りあげて自分のそばに立たせ、彼らに言われた、

＜今日の『み言葉』＞
（ルカによる福音 9:46-50）
今日の福音は、私たちキリスト者の基準のようなものを示しているということができると思います。
私たちは、神に受け入れられたいと思っています。
実際、神は私たちを受け入れてくださっています。
では、私たちは神を本当に受け入れているでしょうか。
その基準になるのが、この個所であります。
神は私たちがいつも受け入れやすいと思えるように、私たちの都合のいいように私たちの側にいらっしゃるわけではありません。
時には、騒がしく、言うことを聞かず、自分に反抗し、罵倒してくる時もあるわけです。
自分の時間をどうしてこの人（子）のために使わなければならないのか、と思ってしまうこともあるでしょう。
実にその通りです。
しかし、神が私たちを受け入れてくださったように、私たちが誰かを、時には自分自身を受け入れるとき、私たちは本当の意味で、つまり自分の都合と関係なしに、神をお迎えすることになるのでしょう。
これはキリスト者の日常における、最も大きなチャレンジの一つであるように思われます。

万軍の主の言葉がわたしに臨んだ、

「万軍の主は、こう仰せられる、『わたしはシオンのために、大いなるねたみを起し、またこれがために、大いなる憤りをもってねたむ』。

主はこう仰せられる、『わたしはシオンに帰って、エルサレムの中に住む。エルサレムは忠信な町ととなえられ、万軍の主の山は聖なる山と、となえられる』。

万軍の主は、こう仰せられる、『エルサレムの街路には再び老いた男、老いた女が座するようになる。みな年寄の人々で、おのおのつえを手に持つ。

47 Jesus, perceiving the reasoning of their hearts, took a little child, and set him by his side,
48 and said to them, “Whoever receives this little child in my name receives me. Whoever receives me receives him who sent me. For whoever is least amongst you all, this one will be great.”
49 John answered, “Master, we saw someone casting out demons in your name, and we forbade him, because he doesn’t follow with us.”
50 Jesus said to him, “Don’t forbid him, for he who is not against us is for us.”

Zechariah 8:1-8
1 The word of the LORD of Armies came to me.
2 the LORD of Armies says: “I am jealous for Zion with great jealousy, and I am jealous for her with great wrath.”
3 the LORD says: “I have returned to Zion, and will dwell in the middle of Jerusalem. Jerusalem shall be called ‘The City of Truth;’ and the mountain of the LORD of Armies, ‘The Holy Mountain.’”

ヨハネがイエスに言った、「先生、わたしたちについてこない者が、あなたの名を使って悪霊を追い出しているのを見ましたが、その人はわたしたちについてこなかったので、やめさせました」。
イエスは言われた、「やめさせないがよい。だれでもわたしの名で力あるわざを行いながら、すぐそのあとで、わたしをそしることはできない。
わたしたちに反対しない者は、わたしたちの味方である。
だれでも、キリストについている者だというので、あなたがたに水一杯でも飲ませてくれるものは、よく言っておくが、決してその報いからもれることはないであろう。
また、わたしを信じるこれらの小さい者のひとりをつまずかせる者は、大きなひきうすを首にかけられて海に投げ込まれた方が、はるかによい。
もし、あなたの片手が罪を犯させるなら、それを切り捨てなさい。両手がそろったままで地獄の消えない火の中に落ち込むよりは、かたわになって命に入る方がよい。
もし、あなたの片足が罪を犯させるなら、それを切り捨てなさい。両足がそろったままで地獄に投げ入れられるよりは、片足で命に入る方がよい。
もし、あなたの片目が罪を犯させるなら、それを抜き出しなさい。両眼がそろったままで地獄に投げ入れられるよりは、片目になって神の国に入る方がよい。
地獄では、うじがつきず、火も消えることがない。

主は雲のうちにあって下り、モーセと語られ、モーセの上にある霊を、その七十人の長老たちにも分け与えられた。その霊が彼らの上にとどまった時、彼らは預言した。ただし、その後は重ねて預言しなかった。

その時ふたりの者が、宿営にとどまっていたが、ひとりの名はエルダデと言い、ひとりの名はメダデといった。彼らの上にも霊がとどまった。彼らは名をしるされた者であったが、幕屋に行かなかったので、宿営のうちで預言した。

Gospel : Mark 9:38-43, 45, 47-48
38 John said to him, “Teacher, we saw someone who doesn’t follow us casting out demons in your name; and we forbade him, because he doesn’t follow us.”
39 But Jesus said, “Don’t forbid him, for there is no one who will do a mighty work in my name, and be able quickly to speak evil of me.
40 For whoever is not against us is on our side.
41 For whoever will give you a cup of water to drink in my name, because you are Christ’s, most certainly I tell you, he will in no way lose his reward.
42 Whoever will cause one of these little ones who believe in me to stumble, it would be better for him if he were thrown into the sea with a millstone hung around his neck.
43 If your hand causes you to stumble, cut it off. It is better for you to enter into life maimed, rather than having your two hands to go into Gehenna, into the unquenchable fire,
45 If your foot causes you to stumble, cut it off. It is better for you to enter into life lame, rather than having your two feet to be cast into Gehenna, into the fire that will never be quenched?
47 If your eye causes you to stumble, cast it out. It is better for you to enter into God’s Kingdom with one eye, rather than having two eyes to be cast into the Gehenna of fire,

4 Behold, the wages of the labourers who mowed your fields, which you have kept back by fraud, cry out, and the cries of those who reaped have entered into the ears of the Lord of Armies.
5 You have lived delicately on the earth, and taken your pleasure. You have nourished your hearts as in a day of slaughter. 6 You have condemned, you have murdered the righteous one. He doesn’t resist you.

＜今日の聖書物語 *＞
（ルカによる福音 9:43b-45）
みんなの者がイエスのしておられた数々の事を不思議に思っていると、弟子たちに言われた、
「あなたがたはこの言葉を耳におさめて置きなさい。人の子は人々の手に渡されようとしている」。
しかし、彼らはなんのことかわからなかった。それが彼らに隠されていて、悟ることができなかったのである。また彼らはそのことについて尋ねるのを恐れていた。

＜今日の『み言葉』＞
（ルカによる福音 9:43b-45）
イエス様から受難の予告を聞かされた弟子たちは、「怖くてその言葉について尋ねられなかった。」とあります。
理解出来なかったこと以上に、真実を知る恐ろしさを感じていたからでしょう。
理解できない「何か」、もしくは理解したい「何か」があると、人は心に未知なる物・事に対して期待と不安を抱くものです。
またそれが自分にとって受け入れがたいものだと察する時には恐れを感じ、自然と拒否しようと目をそらすものです。
「真実を恐れる必要はない」はずなのですが、頭と心は必ずしも同じ方向へと進んでいくものではありません。
自分を偽るようになりますが、これが人の正直な反応でもあるわけです。
しかし私たちは嘘、偽りが真実から目を背けさせ、真実の光を避けて闇の中へと人を誘い、迷いと混乱のそれこそ迷宮へと導いていくことを経験で知っています。
いつも真実から目をさらさず、真実を受け止め、受け入れる勇気が欲しいものです。
「受難の予告」がありましたが、「復活の予告」もあるのです。
（マルコによる福音9:30-32
それから彼らはそこを立ち去り、ガリラヤをとおって行ったが、イエスは人に気づかれるのを好まれなかった。
それは、イエスが弟子たちに教えて、「人の子は人々の手にわたされ、彼らに殺され、殺されてから三日の後によみがえるであろう」と言っておられたからである。
しかし、彼らはイエスの言われたことを悟らず、また尋ねるのを恐れていた。）
勇気を持って真実を受け取り、また真実を語るとき、不安、心配、恐れもありますが、神様の祝福もあるのです。

彼らは答えて言った、「バプテスマのヨハネだと、言っています。しかしほかの人たちは、エリヤだと言い、また昔の預言者のひとりが復活したのだと、言っている者もあります」。
彼らに言われた、「それでは、あなたがたはわたしをだれと言うか」。ペテロが答えて言った、「神のキリストです」。
イエスは彼らを戒め、この事をだれにも言うなと命じ、そして言われた、
「人の子は必ず多くの苦しみを受け、長老、祭司長、律法学者たちに捨てられ、また殺され、そして三日目によみがえる」。

自分の同僚や友人、家族は、イエスのことを何者だと言っているのでしょうか。
ある人は、「世界史の教科書に出てくる人」と言い、またある人は「イエスは、伝説の人でしょ」と言っています。
その他多くの人が、イエスについて知らないか、偏った見方しかしていないのです。
イエスは、弟子たちに「それでは、あなたがたはわたしを何者だと言うのか。」と質問されました。
この質問は、イエスを信じて従っている人々にあてはめて考えてみましょう。
あなたなら、何と答えるでしょうか。
イエスは、ペトロが「神からのメシアです。」と答えた後に、「人の子は必ず多くの苦しみを受け、長老、祭司長、律法学者たちから排斥されて殺され、三日目に復活することになっている。」と言われました。
特に「必ず多くの苦しみを受け、」というところが、理解しにくいところでしょう。
しかし、イエスを信じる者たちが、誰かが苦しんでいるときにそばにいて、共に苦しみを担うならば、イエスとはどのようなお方なのかは、人々に伝わっていくに違いありません。

さて、領主ヘロデはいろいろな出来事を耳にして、あわて惑っていた。それは、ある人たちは、ヨハネが死人の中からよみがえったと言い、
またある人たちは、エリヤが現れたと言い、またほかの人たちは、昔の預言者のひとりが復活したのだと言っていたからである。
そこでヘロデが言った、「ヨハネはわたしがすでに首を切ったのだが、こうしてうわさされているこの人は、いったい、だれなのだろう」。そしてイエスに会ってみようと思っていた。

＜今日の『み言葉』＞
（ルカによる福音 9:7-9）
この箇所では、ヘロデ王の耳に入ってきた、イエスの噂について語られています。
ある人は、「イエスは洗礼者ヨハネの生き返り」だと考え、またある人は、「エリヤが現れたのだ」と考え、そしてまたある人は、「昔の預言者の一人だ」と考えておりました。
これを見るときに、当時の人々のイエスに対する見方というのが、非常に乏しく、偏っていたものであったことが分かります。
けれども現代の一般の人々の考えでも、この程度の答えしか出てこないように思います。
しかしキリスト者である私たちは、そうであってはいけないでしょう。
イエスという方の本質を「あの人がこう言っているから」とか「みんながそう思っているから」といったように人の言うことや噂だけで決めつけるのは危険です。
そのような見方では、イエスという方はただ特別な任務をもって、神から遣わされた一人の人間としか捉えることができないからです。
その反対にペトロのように、自分の体験や霊的な目でイエスを見続けるならば、自分にとって、イエスを救い主として信じ、受け止めることができるのではないでしょうか。
つまり自分にとってイエスという方がどのような方なのか、ということを私たちも弟子たちのように追求し続けていかなければならないということです。

それからイエスは十二弟子を呼び集めて、彼らにすべての悪霊を制し、病気をいやす力と権威とをお授けになった。
また神の国を宣べ伝え、かつ病気をなおすためにつかわして
言われた、「旅のために何も携えるな。つえも袋もパンも銭も持たず、また下着も二枚は持つな。
また、どこかの家にはいったら、そこに留まっておれ。そしてそこから出かけることにしなさい。
だれもあなたがたを迎えるものがいなかったら、その町を出て行くとき、彼らに対する抗議のしるしに、足からちりを払い落しなさい」。
弟子たちは出て行って、村々を巡り歩き、いたる所で福音を宣べ伝え、また病気をいやした。

＜今日の『み言葉』＞
（ルカによる福音 9:1-6）
「......何も持って行ってはならない。杖も袋もパンも持ってはならない。下着も二枚は持ってはならない。」この逆説でもって、イエスは宣教師の姿を描き、宣教活動の根本を教えて下さっているのではないでしょうか。
宣教師は、おのずと、自分の持っているものを分かち合い、培ってきた信念や、価値観や信仰を伝えていくのです。
言い換えれば、自分を与えているのです。
それはすばらしく、高尚なことですが、諸刃の剣のように、あぶないことでもあります。
その危険というのは“自分を伝える”ということです。
人々は宣教師の私ではなく、キリストを必要としているのです。
したがって、私と私のものすべては、キリストを伝え、人をキリストに出会わせる道具にすぎないということです。
自分が道具だという意識の度合いに応じて、神が働かれ、人がキリストに出会い、”神の国が近づいた“というキリストの言葉が実現するのです。

＜今日の『み言葉』＞
（ルカによる福音 9:1-6）
「......何も持って行ってはならない。杖も袋もパンも持ってはならない。下着も二枚は持ってはならない。」この逆説でもって、イエスは宣教師の姿を描き、宣教活動の根本を教えて下さっているのではないでしょうか。
宣教師は、おのずと、自分の持っているものを分かち合い、培ってきた信念や、価値観や信仰を伝えていくのです。
言い換えれば、自分を与えているのです。
それはすばらしく、高尚なことですが、諸刃の剣のように、あぶないことでもあります。
その危険というのは“自分を伝える”ということです。
人々は宣教師の私ではなく、キリストを必要としているのです。
したがって、私と私のものすべては、キリストを伝え、人をキリストに出会わせる道具にすぎないということです。
自分が道具だという意識の度合いに応じて、神が働かれ、人がキリストに出会い、”神の国が近づいた“というキリストの言葉が実現するのです。

Gospel : Luke 9:1-6
1 He called the twelve together, and gave them power and authority over all demons, and to cure diseases.
2 He sent them out to preach God’s Kingdom and to heal the sick.
3 He said to them, “Take nothing for your journey?neither staffs, nor wallet, nor bread, nor money; neither have two coats apiece.
4 Into whatever house you enter, stay there, and depart from there.
5 As many as don’t receive you, when you depart from that city, shake off even the dust from your feet for a testimony against them.”
6 They departed, and went throughout the villages, preaching the Good News, and healing everywhere.

Ezra 9:5-9
5 At the evening offering I arose up from my humiliation, even with my garment and my robe torn; and I fell on my knees, and spread out my hands to the LORD my God;
6 and I said, “My God, I am ashamed and blush to lift up my face to you, my God; for our iniquities have increased over our head, and our guiltiness has grown up to the heavens.
7 Since the days of our fathers we have been exceeding guilty to this day; and for our iniquities we, our kings, and our priests, have been delivered into the hand of the kings of the lands, to the sword, to captivity, to plunder, and to confusion of face, as it is this day.
8 Now for a little moment grace has been shown from the LORD our God, to leave us a remnant to escape, and to give us a nail in his holy place, that our God may lighten our eyes, and revived us a little in our bondage.
9 For we are bondservants; yet our God has not forsaken us in our bondage, but has extended loving kindness to us in the sight of the kings of Persia, to revive us, to set up the house of our God, and to repair its ruins, and to give us a wall in Judah and in Jerusalem.

さてイエスはそこから進んで行かれ、マタイという人が収税所にすわっているのを見て、「わたしに従ってきなさい」と言われた。すると彼は立ちあがって、イエスに従った。
それから、イエスが家で食事の席についておられた時のことである。多くの取税人や罪人たちがきて、イエスや弟子たちと共にその席に着いていた。
パリサイ人たちはこれを見て、弟子たちに言った、「なぜ、あなたがたの先生は、取税人や罪人などと食事を共にするのか」。
イエスはこれを聞いて言われた、「丈夫な人には医者はいらない。いるのは病人である。
『わたしが好むのは、あわれみであって、いけにえではない』とはどういう意味か、学んできなさい。わたしがきたのは、義人を招くためではなく、罪人を招くためである」。

今日は、福音記者使徒マタイの祝日です。
ミサの福音では徴税人マタイがイエス様から召される箇所が読まれます。
ローマのパンテオン近くにフランス国民教会として知られるサン・ルイ教会があります。
その教会はカラヴァッジョのマタイ三部作があることでも知られ、「聖マタイの召命」「聖マタイと天使」「聖マタイの殉教」の作品の前には、巡礼者や観光客が列をなしています。
カラヴァッジョは南欧のレンブラントとも言われ、光の使い方が巧みです。
戸口に立ったイエスがマタイを指差しています。
イエスの頭の上を戸口からの光がテーブルを囲む男たちの方へ差し込んでいます。
以前は、「私ですか」というふうに自分を指していた中年の男性がマタイと考えられていましたが、最近の研究ではうつむいてひたすら金を勘定している青年がマタイに違いないと考えられるようになったそうです。
収税所から離れて、反省し、後悔するときに神さまから呼ばれるのではない。
＜これで、今日はいくら儲かる＞と金を計算している罪の現場にあっても「私についてきなさい」と主から呼ばれるのだ、というメッセージを教えてくれます。

9 As Jesus passed by from there, he saw a man called Matthew sitting at the tax collection office. He said to him, “Follow me.” He got up and followed him.
10 As he sat in the house, behold, many tax collectors and sinners came and sat down with Jesus and his disciples.
11 When the Pharisees saw it, they said to his disciples, “Why does your teacher eat with tax collectors and sinners?”
12 When Jesus heard it, he said to them, “Those who are healthy have no need for a physician, but those who are sick do.
13 But you go and learn what this means: ‘I desire mercy, and not sacrifice,’ for I came not to call the righteous, but sinners to repentance.”

＜今日の聖書物語 *＞
（ルカによる福音 8:16-18）
だれもあかりをともして、それを何かの器でおおいかぶせたり、寝台の下に置いたりはしない。燭台の上に置いて、はいって来る人たちに光が見えるようにするのである。
隠されているもので、あらわにならないものはなく、秘密にされているもので、ついには知られ、明るみに出されないものはない。
だから、どう聞くかに注意するがよい。持っている人は更に与えられ、持っていない人は、持っていると思っているものまでも、取り上げられるであろう」。

＜今日の『み言葉』＞
（ルカによる福音 8:16-18）
「持たない者は、自分が持っていると思うものまでも取り上げられるであろう」。
登山では、たとえそれが日帰りの予定でも懐中電灯を持って行くのが常識だ。
疲労や事故、あるいは天候などの影響により、行動予定が遅れて日が暮れてしまうこともあるからだ。
そんなとき、懐中電灯を灯せば比較的安全に下ることができる。
しかし、せっかく持っていても、ポケットに入れたままでは夜道を照らさず意味がない。
そうして歩いているうちに崖から落っこちて命を失ってしまうかもしれない。
持っている物をどのように使うか、そしてその物は何のためにあるのかをはっきりと理解しておくべきだろう。
私たちは光であるキリストをポケットの中に入れたままで、自分自身も周囲の人も照らしていないことが多いのではないか？
