（マタイによる福音 9:1-8）
さて、イエスは舟に乗って海を渡り、自分の町に帰られた。
すると、人々が中風の者を床の上に寝かせたままでみもとに運んできた。イエスは彼らの信仰を見て、中風の者に、「子よ、しっかりしなさい。あなたの罪はゆるされたのだ」と言われた。
すると、ある律法学者たちが心の中で言った、「この人は神を汚している」。
イエスは彼らの考えを見抜いて、「なぜ、あなたがたは心の中で悪いことを考えているのか。
あなたの罪はゆるされた、と言うのと、起きて歩け、と言うのと、どちらがたやすいか。
しかし、人の子は地上で罪をゆるす権威をもっていることが、あなたがたにわかるために」と言い、中風の者にむかって、「起きよ、床を取りあげて家に帰れ」と言われた。
すると彼は起きあがり、家に帰って行った。
群衆はそれを見て恐れ、こんな大きな権威を人にお与えになった神をあがめた。

み言葉について
（マタイによる福音 9:1-8）
今日の福音では、病が癒される、罪がゆるされるという体験は、自分だけのもの、個人的なものであり得ないということが言われていると思う。
中風患者が、罪がゆるされ、病が癒されたのは、彼を運んでくれた人々がいたからだ。
この人々は神とイエスを信頼していた人々だった。
罪をゆるしていただく、または心の傷を癒していただくということは、イエスのもとに行くこと、即ち神に立ち返ることによってはじめて実現するわけだが、他の人にお世話にならないと私たちはイエスのもとに行けないということである。
人のお世話になるということは、自分のありのままを認め、それを受け入れ、謙虚にならなければできない。
また他の人のありのままをも受け入れていかなければならない。
罪のゆるしや癒しは、神との関係と同時に、他の人との関係の中で実現していくものだ。
これまで自分に関わってくれた方々に感謝したい。
そして今、私たちと関わりのある人々を通して実際にゆるしと癒しをもたらしてくださるイエスに信頼していきたい。
そして、今日の福音では、私たち自身も、傷ついている人や病に苦しんでいる人をイエスのものに導く存在になれなければならないということも言われているように思う。
私たちは人と関わる時、知らない間に、その人を自分に引き寄せようとしてしまったり、自分が評価されることを求めてしまったりすることがある。
自分を主役にしてしまっているのだ。
そうではなく、私たちはあくまでも脇役に徹しなければないのだ。
人に奉仕するということは、その人を教え導くということではなく、むしろその人とのかかわりを通して学ばせていただくという姿勢でなければならない。
そうでないと、知らないうちにその人を傷つけてしまうことになりかねません。
そして、何よりも第一の主役はイエスである。

1 He entered into a boat, and crossed over, and came into his own city.
2 Behold, they brought to him a man who was paralysed, lying on a bed. Jesus, seeing their faith, said to the paralytic, “Son, cheer up! Your sins are forgiven you.”
3 Behold, some of the scribes said to themselves, “This man blasphemes.”
4 Jesus, knowing their thoughts, said, “Why do you think evil in your hearts?
5 For which is easier, to say, ‘Your sins are forgiven;’ or to say, ‘Get up, and walk?’
6 But that you may know that the Son of Man has authority on earth to forgive sins...” (then he said to the paralytic), “Get up, and take up your mat, and go to your house.”
7 He arose and departed to his house.
8 But when the multitudes saw it, they marvelled and glorified God, who had given such authority to men.

Amos 7:10-17
10 Then Amaziah the priest of Bethel sent to Jeroboam king of Israel, saying, “Amos has conspired against you in the middle of the house of Israel. The land is not able to bear all his words.
11 For Amos says, ‘Jeroboam will die by the sword, and Israel shall surely be led away captive out of his land.’”
12 Amaziah also said to Amos, “You seer, go, flee away into the land of Judah, and there eat bread, and prophesy there:
13 but don’t prophesy again any more at Bethel; for it is the king’s sanctuary, and it is a royal house!”
14 Then Amos answered Amaziah, “I was no prophet, neither was I a prophet’s son; but I was a herdsman, and a farmer of sycamore figs;
15 and the LORD took me from following the flock, and the LORD said to me, ‘Go, prophesy to my people Israel.’
16 Now therefore listen to the LORD’s word: ‘You say, Don’t prophesy against Israel, and don’t preach against the house of Isaac.’
17 Therefore the LORD says: ‘Your wife shall be a prostitute in the city, and your sons and your daughters shall fall by the sword, and your land shall be divided by line; and you yourself shall die in a land that is unclean, and Israel shall surely be led away captive out of his land.’”

今日の福音では、病が癒される、罪がゆるされるという体験は、自分だけのもの、個人的なものであり得ないということが言われていると思う。
中風患者が、罪がゆるされ、病が癒されたのは、彼を運んでくれた人々がいたからだ。
この人々は神とイエスを信頼していた人々だった。
罪をゆるしていただく、または心の傷を癒していただくということは、イエスのもとに行くこと、即ち神に立ち返ることによってはじめて実現するわけだが、他の人にお世話にならないと私たちはイエスのもとに行けないということである。
人のお世話になるということは、自分のありのままを認め、それを受け入れ、謙虚にならなければできない。
また他の人のありのままをも受け入れていかなければならない。
罪のゆるしや癒しは、神との関係と同時に、他の人との関係の中で実現していくものだ。
これまで自分に関わってくれた方々に感謝したい。
そして今、私たちと関わりのある人々を通して実際にゆるしと癒しをもたらしてくださるイエスに信頼していきたい。
そして、今日の福音では、私たち自身も、傷ついている人や病に苦しんでいる人をイエスのものに導く存在になれなければならないということも言われているように思う。
私たちは人と関わる時、知らない間に、その人を自分に引き寄せようとしてしまったり、自分が評価されることを求めてしまったりすることがある。
自分を主役にしてしまっているのだ。
そうではなく、私たちはあくまでも脇役に徹しなければないのだ。
人に奉仕するということは、その人を教え導くということではなく、むしろその人とのかかわりを通して学ばせていただくという姿勢でなければならない。
そうでないと、知らないうちにその人を傷つけてしまうことになりかねません。
そして、何よりも第一の主役はイエスである。

時にベテルの祭司アマジヤは、イスラエルの王ヤラベアムに人をつかわして言う、「イスラエルの家のただ中で、アモスはあなたにそむきました。この地は彼のもろもろの言葉に耐えることができません。
7:11
アモスはこのように言っています、
『ヤラベアムはつるぎによって死ぬ、
イスラエルは必ず捕えられて行って、
その国を離れる』と」。
7:12
それからアマジヤはアモスに言った、「先見者よ、行ってユダの地にのがれ、かの地でパンを食べ、かの地で預言せよ。
7:13
しかしベテルでは二度と預言してはならない。ここは王の聖所、国の宮だから」。
7:14
アモスはアマジヤに答えた、「わたしは預言者でもなく、また預言者の子でもない。わたしは牧者である。わたしはいちじく桑の木を作る者である。
7:15
ところが主は群れに従っている所からわたしを取り、『行って、わが民イスラエルに預言せよ』と、主はわたしに言われた。

それゆえ今、主の言葉を聞け。
あなたは言う、
『イスラエルに向かって預言するな、
イサクの家に向かって語るな』と。
7:17
それゆえ、主はこう言われる、
『あなたの妻は町で遊女となり、
あなたのむすこ、娘たちはつるぎに倒れ、
あなたの地は測りなわで分かたれる。

＜今日の聖書物語 *＞
（マタイによる福音 16:13-19）
イエスがピリポ・カイザリヤの地方に行かれたとき、弟子たちに尋ねて言われた、「人々は人の子をだれと言っているか」。
彼らは言った、「ある人々はバプテスマのヨハネだと言っています。しかし、ほかの人たちは、エリヤだと言い、また、エレミヤあるいは預言者のひとりだ、と言っている者もあります」。
そこでイエスは彼らに言われた、「それでは、あなたがたはわたしをだれと言うか」。
シモン・ペテロが答えて言った、「あなたこそ、生ける神の子キリストです」。
すると、イエスは彼にむかって言われた、「バルヨナ・シモン、あなたはさいわいである。あなたにこの事をあらわしたのは、血肉ではなく、天にいますわたしの父である。
そこで、わたしもあなたに言う。あなたはペテロである。そして、わたしはこの岩の上にわたしの教会を建てよう。黄泉の力もそれに打ち勝つことはない。
わたしは、あなたに天国のかぎを授けよう。そして、あなたが地上でつなぐことは、天でもつながれ、あなたが地上で解くことは天でも解かれるであろう」。

み言葉について
（マタイによる福音 16:13-19）
ペトロとパウロ。
使徒たちの中でも特に偉大な使徒としてお祝いされる二人。
彼らの偉大さはどこにあるのでしょう。
ペトロは、衝動的性格が特徴的で、イエス様からは時に褒められたり、時に叱責を受けたり、そばにいたかと思うと逃げたり、嘘をついたりとお調子者の弱い人でした。
パウロは、学歴のある熱心なユダヤ教徒であり、キリスト教徒を激しく迫害するもので、「罪人の中の罪人」でした。
彼らは使徒としては正直ふさわしくはないと思われても仕方がない者たちでした。
でも彼らはそんな自分たちの弱さや過ちに気付き、深く受け止め、よく自覚していたわけです。
これが彼らの聖性の源だったのです。
自分の弱さ、罪深さを知り、気付き、認め、受け入れることによって彼らの霊性は磨かれていき、教会をリードする偉大な使徒に成長したわけです。
そして最後には自分の命を捧げてまでも証しに努めたのです。
ここに彼らの偉大さがあり、「私は弱い時にこそ強いのである。」というパウロ自身の言葉に納得するわけです。
わたしたちも現代に生きるキリストの弟子・使徒。優れた人間だからではありません。いろんな弱さがあります。
相変わらず罪を犯します。時にそんな自分に寂しさを覚えます。
いいのです。
自分の弱さを素直に認め受け入れましょう。
目をそらさず自覚し、赦しを願いましょう。
それによって、こんな弱い自分を愛してくださる神様の愛の大きさにより気付いていけるのです。
そしてその愛に促されて私たちの霊性は磨かれていくのです。
使徒として成長していけるのです。
逆に私たちは、自分が弱い人間であること、罪びとであることから目をそらし、忘れる時、自分の聖性、霊性が失われていくのでしょう。
聖ペトロと聖パウロの偉大さを称え、彼らの取り次ぎによって私たちも使徒として強められるように祈りましょう。

（マタイによる福音 16:13-19）
ペトロとパウロ。
使徒たちの中でも特に偉大な使徒としてお祝いされる二人。
彼らの偉大さはどこにあるのでしょう。
ペトロは、衝動的性格が特徴的で、イエス様からは時に褒められたり、時に叱責を受けたり、そばにいたかと思うと逃げたり、嘘をついたりとお調子者の弱い人でした。
パウロは、学歴のある熱心なユダヤ教徒であり、キリスト教徒を激しく迫害するもので、「罪人の中の罪人」でした。
彼らは使徒としては正直ふさわしくはないと思われても仕方がない者たちでした。
でも彼らはそんな自分たちの弱さや過ちに気付き、深く受け止め、よく自覚していたわけです。
これが彼らの聖性の源だったのです。
自分の弱さ、罪深さを知り、気付き、認め、受け入れることによって彼らの霊性は磨かれていき、教会をリードする偉大な使徒に成長したわけです。
そして最後には自分の命を捧げてまでも証しに努めたのです。
ここに彼らの偉大さがあり、「私は弱い時にこそ強いのである。」というパウロ自身の言葉に納得するわけです。
わたしたちも現代に生きるキリストの弟子・使徒。優れた人間だからではありません。いろんな弱さがあります。
相変わらず罪を犯します。時にそんな自分に寂しさを覚えます。
いいのです。
自分の弱さを素直に認め受け入れましょう。
目をそらさず自覚し、赦しを願いましょう。
それによって、こんな弱い自分を愛してくださる神様の愛の大きさにより気付いていけるのです。
そしてその愛に促されて私たちの霊性は磨かれていくのです。
使徒として成長していけるのです。

そして、それがユダヤ人たちの意にかなったのを見て、さらにペテロをも捕えにかかった。それは除酵祭の時のことであった。

ヘロデはペテロを捕えて獄に投じ、四人一組の兵卒四組に引き渡して、見張りをさせておいた。過越の祭のあとで、彼を民衆の前に引き出すつもりであったのである。

こうして、ペテロは獄に入れられていた。教会では、彼のために熱心な祈が神にささげられた。

ヘロデが彼を引き出そうとしていたその夜、ペテロは二重の鎖につながれ、ふたりの兵卒の間に置かれて眠っていた。番兵たちは戸口で獄を見張っていた。

ペトロとパウロ。
使徒たちの中でも特に偉大な使徒としてお祝いされる二人。
彼らの偉大さはどこにあるのでしょう。

13 Now when Jesus came into the parts of Caesarea Philippi, he asked his disciples, saying, “Who do men say that I, the Son of Man, am?”
14 They said, “Some say John the Baptiser, some, Elijah, and others, Jeremiah, or one of the prophets.”
15 He said to them, “But who do you say that I am?”
16 Simon Peter answered, “You are the Christ, the Son of the living God.”
17 Jesus answered him, “Blessed are you, Simon Bar Jonah, for flesh and blood has not revealed this to you, but my Father who is in heaven.
18 I also tell you that you are Peter, and on this rock I will build my assembly, and the gates of Hades will not prevail against it.
19 I will give to you the keys of the Kingdom of Heaven, and whatever you bind on earth will have been bound in heaven; and whatever you release on earth will have been released in heaven.”

1 Now about that time, King Herod stretched out his hands to oppress some of the assembly.
2 He killed James, the brother of John, with the sword.
3 When he saw that it pleased the Jews, he proceeded to seize Peter also. This was during the days of unleavened bread.
4 When he had arrested him, he put him in prison, and delivered him to four squads of four soldiers each to guard him, intending to bring him out to the people after the Passover.
5 Peter therefore was kept in the prison, but constant prayer was made by the assembly to God for him.
6 The same night when Herod was about to bring him out, Peter was sleeping between two soldiers, bound with two chains. Guards in front of the door kept the prison.
7 And behold, an angel of the Lord stood by him, and a light shone in the cell. He struck Peter on the side, and woke him up, saying, “Stand up quickly!” His chains fell off from his hands.
8 The angel said to him, “Get dressed and put on your sandals.” He did so. He said to him, “Put on your cloak, and follow me.”
9 And he went out and followed him. He didn’t know that what was being done by the angel was real, but thought he saw a vision.
10 When they were past the first and the second guard, they came to the iron gate that leads into the city, which opened to them by itself. They went out, and went down one street, and immediately the angel departed from him.
11 When Peter had come to himself, he said, “Now I truly know that the Lord has sent out his angel and delivered me out of the hand of Herod, and from everything the Jewish people were expecting.”

6 For I am already being offered, and the time of my departure has come.
7 I have fought the good fight. I have finished the course. I have kept the faith.
8 From now on, there is stored up for me the crown of righteousness, which the Lord, the righteous judge, will give to me on that day; and not to me only, but also to all those who have loved his appearing.
17 But the Lord stood by me, and strengthened me, that through me the message might be fully proclaimed, and that all the Gentiles might hear; and I was delivered out of the mouth of the lion.
18 And the Lord will deliver me from every evil work, and will preserve me for his heavenly Kingdom; to whom be the glory forever and ever. Amen.

そこで弟子たちはみそばに寄ってきてイエスを起し、「主よ、お助けください、わたしたちは死にそうです」と言った。
するとイエスは彼らに言われた、「なぜこわがるのか、信仰の薄い者たちよ」。それから起きあがって、風と海とをおしかりになると、大なぎになった。
彼らは驚いて言った、「このかたはどういう人なのだろう。風も海も従わせるとは」。

弟子たちが、困難に直面してイエスに助けを求めたことは、決して間違った行為ではありません。
むしろ、イエスが共に居られるのに、自分たちだけで解決しようとすることの方が問題です。
イエスが弟子たちを咎めたのは、助けを求めたからではなく、困難にあって「怖れた」からです。
怖れというものは戦う気概の欠けた状態ですから、言い換えれば、悪に身を委ねる一歩手前ということになります。
これをイエスは嫌ったのです。風や湖ですら従える、つまり神であるイエスが共にいてくださる限り、怖れは無用。
この感覚が信仰と呼ばれているものです。では質問です。あなたはイエスを信じていますか。

（マタイによる福音 8:23-27)
弟子たちが、困難に直面してイエスに助けを求めたことは、決して間違った行為ではありません。
むしろ、イエスが共に居られるのに、自分たちだけで解決しようとすることの方が問題です。
イエスが弟子たちを咎めたのは、助けを求めたからではなく、困難にあって「怖れた」からです。
怖れというものは戦う気概の欠けた状態ですから、言い換えれば、悪に身を委ねる一歩手前ということになります。
これをイエスは嫌ったのです。風や湖ですら従える、つまり神であるイエスが共にいてくださる限り、怖れは無用。
この感覚が信仰と呼ばれているものです。では質問です。あなたはイエスを信じていますか。

24 Behold, a violent storm came up on the sea, so much that the boat was covered with the waves, but he was asleep.
25 They came to him, and woke him up, saying, “Save us, Lord! We are dying!”
26 He said to them, “Why are you fearful, O you of little faith?” Then he got up, rebuked the wind and the sea, and there was a great calm.
27 The men marvelled, saying, “What kind of man is this, that even the wind and the sea obey him?”

Amos 3:1-8; 4:11-12
3:1 Hear this word that the LORD has spoken against you, children of Israel, against the whole family which I brought up out of the land of Egypt, saying:
2 “You only have I chosen of all the families of the earth.
Therefore I will punish you for all of your sins.”
3 Do two walk together,
unless they have agreed?
4 Will a lion roar in the thicket,
when he has no prey?
Does a young lion cry out of his den,
if he has caught nothing?
5 Can a bird fall in a trap on the earth,
where no snare is set for him?
Does a snare spring up from the ground,
when there is nothing to catch?
6 Does the trumpet alarm sound in a city,
without the people being afraid?
Does evil happen to a city,
and the LORD hasn’t done it?
7 Surely the Lord GOD will do nothing,
unless he reveals his secret to his servants the prophets.
8 The lion has roared.
Who will not fear?
The Lord GOD has spoken.
Who can but prophesy?
4:11 “I have overthrown some of you,
as when God overthrew Sodom and Gomorrah,
and you were like a burning stick plucked out of the fire;
yet you haven’t returned to me,” says the LORD.
12 “Therefore thus will I do to you, Israel;
because I will do this to you,
prepare to meet your God, Israel.

“For three transgressions of Israel, yes, for four,
I will not turn away its punishment;
because they have sold the righteous for silver,
and the needy for a pair of shoes;
7 They trample on the dust of the earth on the head of the poor,
and deny justice to the oppressed;
and a man and his father use the same maiden, to profane my holy name;
8 and they lay themselves down beside every altar on clothes taken in pledge;
and in the house of their God they drink the wine of those who have been fined.
9 Yet I destroyed the Amorite before them,
whose height was like the height of the cedars,
and he was strong as the oaks;
yet I destroyed his fruit from above,

18 Now when Jesus saw great multitudes around him, he gave the order to depart to the other side.
19 A scribe came, and said to him, “Teacher, I will follow you wherever you go.”
20 Jesus said to him, “The foxes have holes, and the birds of the sky have nests, but the Son of Man has nowhere to lay his head.”
21 Another of his disciples said to him, “Lord, allow me first to go and bury my father.”
22 But Jesus said to him, “Follow me, and leave the dead to bury their own dead.”

Amos 2:6-10, 13-16
6 the LORD says:
“For three transgressions of Israel, yes, for four,
I will not turn away its punishment;
because they have sold the righteous for silver,
and the needy for a pair of shoes;
7 They trample on the dust of the earth on the head of the poor,
and deny justice to the oppressed;
and a man and his father use the same maiden, to profane my holy name;
8 and they lay themselves down beside every altar on clothes taken in pledge;
and in the house of their God they drink the wine of those who have been fined.
9 Yet I destroyed the Amorite before them,
whose height was like the height of the cedars,
and he was strong as the oaks;
yet I destroyed his fruit from above,

as a cart crushes that is full of grain.
14 Flight will perish from the swift;
and the strong won’t strengthen his force;
neither shall the mighty deliver himself;
15 neither shall he stand who handles the bow;
and he who is swift of foot won’t escape;
neither shall he who rides the horse deliver himself;

自分に先立って使者たちをおつかわしになった。そして彼らがサマリヤ人の村へはいって行き、イエスのために準備をしようとしたところ、
村人は、エルサレムへむかって進んで行かれるというので、イエスを歓迎しようとはしなかった。
弟子のヤコブとヨハネとはそれを見て言った、「主よ、いかがでしょう。彼らを焼き払ってしまうように、天から火をよび求めましょうか」。
イエスは振りかえって、彼らをおしかりになった。
そして一同はほかの村へ行った。
道を進んで行くと、ある人がイエスに言った、「あなたがおいでになる所ならどこへでも従ってまいります」。
イエスはその人に言われた、「きつねには穴があり、空の鳥には巣がある。しかし、人の子にはまくらする所がない」。
またほかの人に、「わたしに従ってきなさい」と言われた。するとその人が言った、「まず、父を葬りに行かせてください」。
彼に言われた、「その死人を葬ることは、死人に任せておくがよい。あなたは、出て行って神の国を告げひろめなさい」。
またほかの人が言った、「主よ、従ってまいりますが、まず家の者に別れを言いに行かせてください」。
イエスは言われた、「手をすきにかけてから、うしろを見る者は、神の国にふさわしくないものである」。

51 It came to pass, when the days were near that he should be taken up, he intently set his face to go to Jerusalem,
52 and sent messengers before his face. They went, and entered into a village of the Samaritans, so as to prepare for him.
53 They didn’t receive him, because he was travelling with his face set towards Jerusalem.
54 When his disciples, James and John, saw this, they said, “Lord, do you want us to command fire to come down from the sky, and destroy them, just as Elijah did?”
55 But he turned and rebuked them, “You don’t know of what kind of spirit you are.
56 For the Son of Man didn’t come to destroy men’s lives, but to save them.”
They went to another village.
57 As they went on the way, a certain man said to him, “I want to follow you wherever you go, Lord.”
58 Jesus said to him, “The foxes have holes, and the birds of the sky have nests, but the Son of Man has no place to lay his head.”
59 He said to another, “Follow me!”
But he said, “Lord, allow me first to go and bury my father.”
60 But Jesus said to him, “Leave the dead to bury their own dead, but you go and announce God’s Kingdom.”

20 Elisha left the oxen, and ran after Elijah, and said, “Let me please kiss my father and my mother, and then I will follow you.”
He said to him, “Go back again; for what have I done to you?”
21 He returned from following him, and took the yoke of oxen, and killed them, and boiled their meat with the instruments of the oxen, and gave to the people, and they ate. Then he arose, and went after Elijah, and served him.

1 Stand firm therefore in the liberty by which Christ has made us free, and don’t be entangled again with a yoke of bondage.
13 For you, brothers, were called for freedom. Only don’t use your freedom for gain to the flesh, but through love be servants to one another.

15 But if you bite and devour one another, be careful that you don’t consume one another.
16 But I say, walk by the Spirit, and you won’t fulfil the lust of the flesh.
17 For the flesh lusts against the Spirit, and the Spirit against the flesh; and these are contrary to one another, that you may not do the things that you desire.
18 But if you are led by the Spirit, you are not under the law.

さて、イエスの両親は、過越の祭には毎年エルサレムへ上っていた。
イエスが十二歳になった時も、慣例に従って祭のために上京した。
ところが、祭が終って帰るとき、少年イエスはエルサレムに居残っておられたが、両親はそれに気づかなかった。
そして道連れの中にいることと思いこんで、一日路を行ってしまい、それから、親族や知人の中を捜しはじめたが、
見つからないので、捜しまわりながらエルサレムへ引返した。
そして三日の後に、イエスが宮の中で教師たちのまん中にすわって、彼らの話を聞いたり質問したりしておられるのを見つけた。
聞く人々はみな、イエスの賢さやその答に驚嘆していた。
両親はこれを見て驚き、そして母が彼に言った、「どうしてこんな事をしてくれたのです。ごらんなさい、おとう様もわたしも心配して、あなたを捜していたのです」。
するとイエスは言われた、「どうしてお捜しになったのですか。わたしが自分の父の家にいるはずのことを、ご存じなかったのですか」。
しかし、両親はその語られた言葉を悟ることができなかった。
それからイエスは両親と一緒にナザレに下って行き、彼らにお仕えになった。母はこれらの事をみな心に留めていた。

み言葉について
（ルカによる福音 2:41-51）
イエスのみ心の祭日を祝ったばかり私たちは、今日、聖母のみ心にスポットを当てて、そのやさしさや暖かさを感じながら、聖母のみ心の祝日を祝い喜びます。
今日の福音に描かれている１２歳のイエスのエピソードは自分の胎を痛めた子供に対する気配りと心配に満ちたお母さんの心を浮き彫りにするものです。
神殿で聖書の専門家と話をしている少年イエスの場面はご自分の使命と召命に対する目覚め、そして聖母マリアのいなくなった子供のうれしい発見という二つの神秘的な現実を黙想の材料として提起してくれます。
「母はこれらのことをすべて心に納めていた」という言葉を読んでわかりますように、その時、聖母マリアは深い宗教体験をされます。
その時の聖母のみ心の姿勢に対して私たちは感慨無量で、聖歌にありますように、その心は “樫の木”のような強いもので、私たちを安心のうちに包んでくれる心だと感じるのではないでしょうか。
聖母マリアの母性愛に溢れるみ心に倣って、サレジオ精神の中心である“牧者の愛”を培っていきたいと思います。

＜今日の聖書物語 *＞
（ルカによる福音 2:41-51）
さて、イエスの両親は、過越の祭には毎年エルサレムへ上っていた。
イエスが十二歳になった時も、慣例に従って祭のために上京した。
ところが、祭が終って帰るとき、少年イエスはエルサレムに居残っておられたが、両親はそれに気づかなかった。
そして道連れの中にいることと思いこんで、一日路を行ってしまい、それから、親族や知人の中を捜しはじめたが、
見つからないので、捜しまわりながらエルサレムへ引返した。
そして三日の後に、イエスが宮の中で教師たちのまん中にすわって、彼らの話を聞いたり質問したりしておられるのを見つけた。
聞く人々はみな、イエスの賢さやその答に驚嘆していた。
両親はこれを見て驚き、そして母が彼に言った、「どうしてこんな事をしてくれたのです。ごらんなさい、おとう様もわたしも心配して、あなたを捜していたのです」。
するとイエスは言われた、「どうしてお捜しになったのですか。わたしが自分の父の家にいるはずのことを、ご存じなかったのですか」。
しかし、両親はその語られた言葉を悟ることができなかった。
それからイエスは両親と一緒にナザレに下って行き、彼らにお仕えになった。母はこれらの事をみな心に留めていた。

Gospel : Luke 2:41-51
41 His parents went every year to Jerusalem at the feast of the Passover.
42 When he was twelve years old, they went up to Jerusalem according to the custom of the feast,
43 and when they had fulfilled the days, as they were returning, the boy Jesus stayed behind in Jerusalem. Joseph and his mother didn’t know it,
44 but supposing him to be in the company, they went a day’s journey, and they looked for him amongst their relatives and acquaintances.
45 When they didn’t find him, they returned to Jerusalem, looking for him.
46 After three days they found him in the temple, sitting in the middle of the teachers, both listening to them, and asking them questions.
47 All who heard him were amazed at his understanding and his answers.
48 When they saw him, they were astonished, and his mother said to him, “Son, why have you treated us this way? Behold, your father and I were anxiously looking for you.”
49 He said to them, “Why were you looking for me? Didn’t you know that I must be in my Father’s house?”
50 They didn’t understand the saying which he spoke to them.
51 And he went down with them, and came to Nazareth. He was subject to them, and his mother kept all these sayings in her heart.

2 The Lord has swallowed up all the habitations of Jacob, and has not pitied:
He has thrown down in his wrath the strongholds of the daughter of Judah;
He has brought them down to the ground; he has profaned the kingdom and its princes.
10 The elders of the daughter of Zion sit on the ground, they keep silence;
They have cast up dust on their heads; they have clothed themselves with sackcloth:
The virgins of Jerusalem hang down their heads to the ground.
11 My eyes do fail with tears, my heart is troubled;
My liver is poured on the earth, because of the destruction of the daughter of my people,
Because the young children and the infants swoon in the streets of the city.
12 They tell their mothers, Where is grain and wine?

What shall I compare to you, that I may comfort you, virgin daughter of Zion?
For your breach is great like the sea: who can heal you?
14 Your prophets have seen for you false and foolish visions;
They have not uncovered your iniquity, to bring back your captivity,
but have seen for you false revelations and causes of banishment.
18 Their heart cried to the Lord:
wall of the daughter of Zion, let tears run down like a river day and night;
Give yourself no respite; don’t let the apple of your eye cease.
19 Arise, cry out in the night, at the beginning of the watches;
Pour out your heart like water before the face of the Lord:
Lift up your hands towards him for the life of your young children, that faint for hunger at the head of every street.

and their offspring amongst the peoples.
All who see them will acknowledge them,
that they are the offspring which the LORD has blessed.”

そこでイエスは彼らに、この譬をお話しになった、
「あなたがたのうちに、百匹の羊を持っている者がいたとする。その一匹がいなくなったら、九十九匹を野原に残しておいて、いなくなった一匹を見つけるまでは捜し歩かないであろうか。
そして見つけたら、喜んでそれを自分の肩に乗せ、
家に帰ってきて友人や隣り人を呼び集め、『わたしと一緒に喜んでください。いなくなった羊を見つけましたから』と言うであろう。
よく聞きなさい。それと同じように、罪人がひとりでも悔い改めるなら、悔改めを必要としない九十九人の正しい人のためにもまさる大きいよろこびが、天にあるであろう。

よき牧者の姿・心は、私たちにイエス様の姿・心を連想させる。
失われたものを尋ね求め、
追われたものを連れ戻し、
傷ついたものを包み
弱ったものを強くする。（第1朗読）
自分の命も顧みずに、命を懸けてそうされる。
そんな優しい大きな愛にふれるとき、感謝の思いを抱くと同時に、自分の小ささを知る。
まだまだ人を十分に愛せない自分の姿に気付かされる。
イエス様の心にふれて、自分の心が大きく豊かになれることを日々求めて参りましょう。

4 “Which of you men, if you had one hundred sheep, and lost one of them, wouldn’t leave the ninety-nine in the wilderness, and go after the one that was lost, until he found it?
5 When he has found it, he carries it on his shoulders, rejoicing.
6 When he comes home, he calls together his friends and his neighbours, saying to them, ‘Rejoice with me, for I have found my sheep which was lost!’
7 I tell you that even so there will be more joy in heaven over one sinner who repents, than over ninety-nine righteous people who need no repentance.

さてエリサベツは月が満ちて、男の子を産んだ。
近所の人々や親族は、主が大きなあわれみを彼女におかけになったことを聞いて、共どもに喜んだ。
八日目になったので、幼な子に割礼をするために人々がきて、父の名にちなんでザカリヤという名にしようとした。
ところが、母親は、「いいえ、ヨハネという名にしなくてはいけません」と言った。
人々は、「あなたの親族の中には、そういう名のついた者は、ひとりもいません」と彼女に言った。
そして父親に、どんな名にしたいのですかと、合図で尋ねた。
ザカリヤは書板を持ってこさせて、それに「その名はヨハネ」と書いたので、みんなの者は不思議に思った。
すると、立ちどころにザカリヤの口が開けて舌がゆるみ、語り出して神をほめたたえた。
近所の人々はみな恐れをいだき、またユダヤの山里の至るところに、これらの事がことごとく語り伝えられたので、
聞く者たちは皆それを心に留めて、「この子は、いったい、どんな者になるだろう」と語り合った。主のみ手が彼と共にあった。

そんな彼は、自分のことを「その方（イエス）はわたしの後から来られるが、わたしはその足の履物をお脱がせする値打ちもない」と述べたことはよく知られており、第二朗読でも引用されています。
このような洗礼者ヨハネの誕生の次第が福音では述べられますが、名前をつける段階になって親戚間で問題が生じたことがわかります。
イスラエルでは親類から名前をもらうのが通例のようですが、ヨハネの場合は神からのお告げにより、またザカリアの受けた奇跡から名前が決まっていきます。
この場面においても神の力が目一杯に働いていることが明らかです。
一つの出来事を通して神が働きかけられることはたくさんあります。
わたしたちの日常においてはこのような劇的な出来事はほとんどありませんが、ヨハネの謙遜さを学び、また神様の望みを探りながらそれを受け入れることができるように祈りもとめたいものです。

57 Now the time that Elizabeth should give birth was fulfilled, and she gave birth to a son.
58 Her neighbours and her relatives heard that the Lord had magnified his mercy towards her, and they rejoiced with her.
59 On the eighth day, they came to circumcise the child; and they would have called him Zacharias, after the name of his father.
60 His mother answered, “Not so; but he will be called John.”
61 They said to her, “There is no one amongst your relatives who is called by this name.”
62 They made signs to his father, what he would have him called.
63 He asked for a writing tablet, and wrote, “His name is John.”
They all marvelled.
64 His mouth was opened immediately, and his tongue freed, and he spoke, blessing God.
65 Fear came on all who lived around them, and all these sayings were talked about throughout all the hill country of Judea.
66 All who heard them laid them up in their heart, saying, “What then will this child be?” The hand of the Lord was with him.
80 The child was growing, and becoming strong in spirit, and was in the desert until the day of his public appearance to Israel.

1 Listen, islands, to me.
Listen, you peoples, from afar:
the LORD has called me from the womb;
from the inside of my mother he has mentioned my name.
2 He has made my mouth like a sharp sword.
He has hidden me in the shadow of his hand.
He has made me a polished shaft.
He has kept me close in his quiver.
3 He said to me, “You are my servant;
Israel, in whom I will be glorified.”
4 But I said, “I have laboured in vain.
I have spent my strength in vain for nothing;
yet surely the justice due to me is with the LORD,
and my reward with my God.”
5 Now the LORD says, he who formed me from the womb to be his servant,
to bring Jacob again to him,
and to gather Israel to him,
for I am honourable in the LORD’s eyes,
and my God has become my strength.
6 Indeed, he says, “It is too light a thing that you should be my servant to raise up the tribes of Jacob,
and to restore the preserved of Israel?
I will also give you as a light to the nations,
that you may be my salvation to the end of the earth.”

23 From this man’s offspring, God has brought salvation to Israel according to his promise,

25 As John was fulfilling his course, he said, ‘What do you suppose that I am? I am not he. But behold, one comes after me the sandals of whose feet I am not worthy to untie.’
26 Brothers, children of the stock of Abraham, and those amongst you who fear God, the word of this salvation is sent out to you.

あなたがたは、その実によって彼らを見わけるであろう。茨からぶどうを、あざみからいちじくを集める者があろうか。
そのように、すべて良い木は良い実を結び、悪い木は悪い実を結ぶ。
良い木が悪い実をならせることはないし、悪い木が良い実をならせることはできない。
良い実を結ばない木はことごとく切られて、火の中に投げ込まれる。
このように、あなたがたはその実によって彼らを見わけるのである。

（マタイによる福音 7:15-20）
「言葉」であるイエスのお口から出る「偽預言者に警戒しなさい」という注意には強いひびきがあります。
「預言者」は自分の言葉を混ぜずに「預かった」「言葉」しか話さない「者」です。
そのために彼・彼女の言葉には力があり、実現に向かい、回心と救い、そしてそれに伴う「幸せ」をもたらすことばです。
神以外のところから、神以外の者から幸せが得られるという宣言をする者はみんな「偽預言者」です。
人の心に受け入れやすい形で「善」であるかのような「毒」を入れ込み、心からまことの神の声を聞かせる「良心」の敏感さを失わせます。
「幸せの基」に見える「麻薬・性の乱用・不正な富みの取得」などの魅力を起こす「神々の言葉」で人を迷わせる「偽預言者」は私たちの周りに溢れるほどいます。
最終的に人生の滅びと人の「不幸」しかもたらさない者です。
自分が味わっているその不幸を人にも味わわせるのです。
この偽預言者たちの「犠牲者」になっている人々、特に若者や青少年のために私たちは「預言者」としてまた「牧者」としての使命も頂いているのではないでしょうか。
願わくは、預かっている神の言葉を生かしながら良い実を結ぶ者でありたいものです。

その時大祭司ヒルキヤは書記官シャパンに言った、「わたしは主の宮で律法の書を見つけました」。そしてヒルキヤがその書物をシャパンに渡したので、彼はそれを読んだ。

書記官シャパンは王のもとへ行き、王に報告して言った、「しもべどもは宮にあった銀を皆出して、それを工事をつかさどる主の宮の監督者の手に渡しました」。

書記官シャパンはまた王に告げて「祭司ヒルキヤはわたしに一つの書物を渡しました」と言い、それを王の前で読んだ。

王はその律法の書の言葉を聞くと、その衣を裂いた。

15 “Beware of false prophets, who come to you in sheep’s clothing, but inwardly are ravening wolves.
16 By their fruits you will know them. Do you gather grapes from thorns, or figs from thistles?
17 Even so, every good tree produces good fruit; but the corrupt tree produces evil fruit.
18 A good tree can’t produce evil fruit, neither can a corrupt tree produce good fruit.
19 Every tree that doesn’t grow good fruit is cut down, and thrown into the fire.
20 Therefore by their fruits you will know them.

2 Kings 22:8-13; 23:1-3
8 Hilkiah the high priest said to Shaphan the scribe, “I have found the book of the law in the LORD’s house.” Hilkiah delivered the book to Shaphan, and he read it.
9 Shaphan the scribe came to the king, and brought the king word again, and said, “Your servants have emptied out the money that was found in the house, and have delivered it into the hands of the workmen who have the oversight of the LORD’s house.”
10 Shaphan the scribe told the king, saying, “Hilkiah the priest has delivered a book to me.” Then Shaphan read it before the king.
11 When the king had heard the words of the book of the law, he tore his clothes.
12 The king commanded Hilkiah the priest, Ahikam the son of Shaphan, Achbor the son of Micaiah, Shaphan the scribe, and Asaiah the king’s servant, saying,
13 “Go enquire of the LORD for me, and for the people, and for all Judah, concerning the words of this book that is found; for great is the LORD’s wrath that is kindled against us, because our fathers have not listened to the words of this book, to do according to all that which is written concerning us.”
23:1 The king sent, and they gathered to him all the elders of Judah and of Jerusalem.
2 The king went up to the LORD’s house, and all the men of Judah and all the inhabitants of Jerusalem with him, with the priests, the prophets, and all the people, both small and great; and he read in their hearing all the words of the book of the covenant which was found in the LORD’s house.
3 The king stood by the pillar, and made a covenant before the LORD, to walk after the LORD, and to keep his commandments, his testimonies, and his statutes, with all his heart, and all his soul, to confirm the words of this covenant that were written in this book; and all the people agreed to the covenant.

16 By their fruits you will know them. Do you gather grapes from thorns, or figs from thistles?
17 Even so, every good tree produces good fruit; but the corrupt tree produces evil fruit.
18 A good tree can’t produce evil fruit, neither can a corrupt tree produce good fruit.
19 Every tree that doesn’t grow good fruit is cut down, and thrown into the fire.
20 Therefore by their fruits you will know them.

8 Hilkiah the high priest said to Shaphan the scribe, “I have found the book of the law in the LORD’s house.” Hilkiah delivered the book to Shaphan, and he read it.
9 Shaphan the scribe came to the king, and brought the king word again, and said, “Your servants have emptied out the money that was found in the house, and have delivered it into the hands of the workmen who have the oversight of the LORD’s house.”
10 Shaphan the scribe told the king, saying, “Hilkiah the priest has delivered a book to me.” Then Shaphan read it before the king.
11 When the king had heard the words of the book of the law, he tore his clothes.
12 The king commanded Hilkiah the priest, Ahikam the son of Shaphan, Achbor the son of Micaiah, Shaphan the scribe, and Asaiah the king’s servant, saying,
13 “Go enquire of the LORD for me, and for the people, and for all Judah, concerning the words of this book that is found; for great is the LORD’s wrath that is kindled against us, because our fathers have not listened to the words of this book, to do according to all that which is written concerning us.”
23:1 The king sent, and they gathered to him all the elders of Judah and of Jerusalem.
2 The king went up to the LORD’s house, and all the men of Judah and all the inhabitants of Jerusalem with him, with the priests, the prophets, and all the people, both small and great; and he read in their hearing all the words of the book of the covenant which was found in the LORD’s house.
3 The king stood by the pillar, and made a covenant before the LORD, to walk after the LORD, and to keep his commandments, his testimonies, and his statutes, with all his heart, and all his soul, to confirm the words of this covenant that were written in this book; and all the people agreed to the covenant.

12 Therefore whatever you desire for men to do to you, you shall also do to them; for this is the law and the prophets.
13 “Enter in by the narrow gate; for wide is the gate and broad is the way that leads to destruction, and many are those who enter in by it.
14 How* narrow is the gate, and restricted is the way that leads to life! Few are those who find it.

11 Behold, you have heard what the kings of Assyria have done to all lands, by destroying them utterly. Will you be delivered?
14 Hezekiah received the letter from the hand of the messengers and read it. Then Hezekiah went up to the LORD’s house, and spread it before the LORD.
15 Hezekiah prayed before the LORD, and said, “LORD, the God of Israel, who sit above the cherubim, you are the God, even you alone, of all the kingdoms of the earth. You have made heaven and earth.
16 Incline your ear, LORD, and hear. Open your eyes, LORD, and see. Hear the words of Sennacherib, which he has sent to defy the living God.
17 Truly, LORD, the kings of Assyria have laid waste the nations and their lands,
18 and have cast their gods into the fire; for they were no gods, but the work of men’s hands, wood and stone. Therefore they have destroyed them.
19 Now therefore, LORD our God, save us, I beg you, out of his hand, that all the kingdoms of the earth may know that you, LORD, are God alone.”
20 Then Isaiah the son of Amoz sent to Hezekiah, saying, “the LORD, the God of Israel, says ‘You have prayed to me against Sennacherib king of Assyria, and I have heard you.
21 This is the word that the LORD has spoken concerning him: ‘The virgin daughter of Zion has despised you and ridiculed you. The daughter of Jerusalem has shaken her head at you.
31 For out of Jerusalem a remnant will go out, and out of Mount Zion those who shall escape. the LORD’s zeal will perform this.
32 “Therefore the LORD says concerning the king of Assyria, ‘He will not come to this city, nor shoot an arrow there. He will not come before it with shield, nor cast up a mound against it.
33 By the way that he came, by the same he will return, and he will not come to this city,’ says the LORD.
34 ‘For I will defend this city to save it, for my own sake, and for my servant David’s sake.’”
35a That night, the LORD’s angel went out, and struck one hundred and eighty-five thousand in the camp of the Assyrians.
36 So Sennacherib king of Assyria departed, and went and returned, and lived at Nineveh.

自分の目には梁があるのに、どうして兄弟にむかって、あなたの目からちりを取らせてください、と言えようか。

み言葉について
（マタイによる福音 7:1-5）
「あなたは、兄弟の目にあるおが屑は見えるのに、なぜ自分の目の中の丸太に気づかないのか」。
今日の福音の中で人を裁いてはならない、というメッセージがあります。
欠点というものは、他人においてよく見えやすいのに、自分のこととなると何も見えない、ということもあります。
ここでは他人のことを責める前に、自分自身のことを振り返る必要があるでしょう。
信仰生活の歩みにおいても、自分自身のことを見つめる機会をもつようにすすめているようです。
「自分の目の中の丸太に気づかない」という言い方はインパクトがありますが、それだけ大切なことに気づかず、余計なことに心を煩わせているのではないでしょうか。
神の前に身をおき、大切なことを見ることができるよう、今日という一日を大切にすごしていきましょう。

（マタイによる福音 7:1-5）
7:1
人をさばくな。自分がさばかれないためである。
7:2
あなたがたがさばくそのさばきで、自分もさばかれ、あなたがたの量るそのはかりで、自分にも量り与えられるであろう。
7:3
なぜ、兄弟の目にあるちりを見ながら、自分の目にある梁を認めないのか。
7:4
自分の目には梁があるのに、どうして兄弟にむかって、あなたの目からちりを取らせてください、と言えようか。
7:5
偽善者よ、まず自分の目から梁を取りのけるがよい。そうすれば、はっきり見えるようになって、兄弟の目からちりを取りのけることができるだろう。

み言葉について
（マタイによる福音 7:1-5）
「あなたは、兄弟の目にあるおが屑は見えるのに、なぜ自分の目の中の丸太に気づかないのか」。
今日の福音の中で人を裁いてはならない、というメッセージがあります。
欠点というものは、他人においてよく見えやすいのに、自分のこととなると何も見えない、ということもあります。
ここでは他人のことを責める前に、自分自身のことを振り返る必要があるでしょう。
信仰生活の歩みにおいても、自分自身のことを見つめる機会をもつようにすすめているようです。
「自分の目の中の丸太に気づかない」という言い方はインパクトがありますが、それだけ大切なことに気づかず、余計なことに心を煩わせているのではないでしょうか。
神の前に身をおき、大切なことを見ることができるよう、今日という一日を大切にすごしていきましょう。
