そこでイエスは人々にむかって言われた、「狭い戸口からはいるように努めなさい。事実、はいろうとしても、はいれない人が多いのだから。

家の主人が立って戸を閉じてしまってから、あなたがたが外に立ち戸をたたき始めて、『ご主人様、どうぞあけてください』と言っても、主人はそれに答えて、『あなたがたがどこからきた人なのか、わたしは知らない』と言うであろう。

そのとき、『わたしたちはあなたとご一緒に飲み食いしました。また、あなたはわたしたちの大通りで教えてくださいました』と言い出しても、

23 One said to him, “Lord, are they few who are saved?”
He said to them,
24 “Strive to enter in by the narrow door, for many, I tell you, will seek to enter in, and will not be able.
25 When once the master of the house has risen up, and has shut the door, and you begin to stand outside, and to knock at the door, saying, ‘Lord, Lord, open to us!’ then he will answer and tell you, ‘I don’t know you or where you come from.’
26 Then you will begin to say, ‘We ate and drank in your presence, and you taught in our streets.’
27 He will say, ‘I tell you, I don’t know where you come from. Depart from me, all you workers of iniquity.’
28 There will be weeping and gnashing of teeth, when you see Abraham, Isaac, Jacob, and all the prophets, in God’s Kingdom, and yourselves being thrown outside.
29 They will come from the east, west, north, and south, and will sit down in God’s Kingdom.
30 Behold, there are some who are last who will be first, and there are some who are first who will be last.”

20 They shall bring all your brothers out of all the nations for an offering to the LORD, on horses, in chariots, in litters, on mules, and on camels, to my holy mountain Jerusalem, says the LORD, as the children of Israel bring their offering in a clean vessel into the LORD’s house.

そのときイエスは、群衆と弟子たちとに語って言われた、
「律法学者とパリサイ人とは、モーセの座にすわっている。
だから、彼らがあなたがたに言うことは、みな守って実行しなさい。しかし、彼らのすることには、ならうな。彼らは言うだけで、実行しないから。
また、重い荷物をくくって人々の肩にのせるが、それを動かすために、自分では指一本も貸そうとはしない。
そのすることは、すべて人に見せるためである。すなわち、彼らは経札を幅広くつくり、その衣のふさを大きくし、
また、宴会の上座、会堂の上席を好み、
広場であいさつされることや、人々から先生と呼ばれることを好んでいる。
しかし、あなたがたは先生と呼ばれてはならない。あなたがたの先生は、ただひとりであって、あなたがたはみな兄弟なのだから。
また、地上のだれをも、父と呼んではならない。あなたがたの父はただひとり、すなわち、天にいます父である。
また、あなたがたは教師と呼ばれてはならない。あなたがたの教師はただひとり、すなわち、キリストである。
そこで、あなたがたのうちでいちばん偉い者は、仕える人でなければならない。

司祭となって感じる大きな変化の一つは、皆から「様」と呼ばれるようになることかもしれない。
初対面の人はもちろんだが、今までいろいろとお世話になり、到底頭の上がらない方からも「神父様」と呼ばれてしまうと、非常に恐縮してしまう。
しかし、慣れというのは怖いもので、次第にそう呼ばれることに違和感を覚えなくなってしまっている。
今日のみ言葉は、そんな自分に向けられた言葉のように思える。
「司祭＝偉い人」と考えるのは傲慢かもしれないが、司祭というだけで（自分の資質とは関係なく）敬われてしまう司祭は、まさに神と人とに仕えるために任命された者であるということを思い出さなければならない。
そしてこの言葉を言われた本人、最も偉い方であるイエス・キリストがすべての人に仕えるために、愛するために来られた方であったということを。

1 Then Jesus spoke to the multitudes and to his disciples, 2 saying, “The scribes and the Pharisees sat on Moses’ seat.
3 All things therefore whatever they tell you to observe, observe and do, but don’t do their works; for they say, and don’t do.
4 For they bind heavy burdens that are grievous to be borne, and lay them on men’s shoulders; but they themselves will not lift a finger to help them.
5 But all their works they do to be seen by men. They make their phylacteries broad, enlarge the fringes of their garments,
6 and love the place of honour at feasts, the best seats in the synagogues,
7 the salutations in the marketplaces, and to be called ‘Rabbi, Rabbi’ by men.

Gospel : Matthew 23:1-12
1 Then Jesus spoke to the multitudes and to his disciples, 2 saying, “The scribes and the Pharisees sat on Moses’ seat.
3 All things therefore whatever they tell you to observe, observe and do, but don’t do their works; for they say, and don’t do.
4 For they bind heavy burdens that are grievous to be borne, and lay them on men’s shoulders; but they themselves will not lift a finger to help them.
5 But all their works they do to be seen by men. They make their phylacteries broad, enlarge the fringes of their garments,
6 and love the place of honour at feasts, the best seats in the synagogues,
7 the salutations in the marketplaces, and to be called ‘Rabbi, Rabbi’ by men.
8 But don’t you be called ‘Rabbi,’ for one is your teacher, the Christ, and all of you are brothers.
9 Call no man on the earth your father, for one is your Father, he who is in heaven.
10 Neither be called masters, for one is your master, the Christ.
11 But he who is greatest amongst you will be your servant.
12 Whoever exalts himself will be humbled, and whoever humbles himself will be exalted.

1 Afterward he brought me to the gate, even the gate that looks towards the east.
2 Behold, the glory of the God of Israel came from the way of the east: and his voice was like the sound of many waters; and the earth shined with his glory.
3 It was according to the appearance of the vision which I saw, even according to the vision that I saw when I came to destroy the city; and the visions were like the vision that I saw by the river Chebar; and I fell on my face.
4 the LORD’s glory came into the house by the way of the gate whose prospect is towards the east.
5 The Spirit took me up, and brought me into the inner court; and behold, the LORD’s glory filled the house.

「先生、律法の中で、どのいましめがいちばん大切なのですか」。
イエスは言われた、「『心をつくし、精神をつくし、思いをつくして、主なるあなたの神を愛せよ』。
これがいちばん大切な、第一のいましめである。
第二もこれと同様である、『自分を愛するようにあなたの隣り人を愛せよ』。
これらの二つのいましめに、律法全体と預言者とが、かかっている」。

日本人は、赤ちゃんが生まれた時、「健康で、人さまに迷惑をかけないような子に育ってくれればいい」と思う親が多い。
そこには「自分が迷惑に思うようなことを人にしてはいけない」ということが重要なのだという価値観がある。
しかし、今日の福音で、イエスは、そのような消極的な言い方ではなく、「神を愛しなさい」、「隣人を愛しなさい」という積極的な言い方をしている。
消極的な言い方だと、これはしていけない、これもいけないという細かい規定を作らざるをえなくなり、それらに縛られることになってしまう。
そして他人を裁くことにもつながり、自由ではない。
「神と隣人を愛する」という積極的な言い方への転換は、生き方の基準や中心を自分にではなく、「神と隣人を愛すること」に置くということである。

主の手がわたしに臨み、主はわたしを主の霊に満たして出て行かせ、谷の中にわたしを置かれた。そこには骨が満ちていた。
37:2
彼はわたしに谷の周囲を行きめぐらせた。見よ、谷の面には、はなはだ多くの骨があり、皆いたく枯れていた。
37:3
彼はわたしに言われた、「人の子よ、これらの骨は、生き返ることができるのか」。わたしは答えた、「主なる神よ、あなたはご存じです」。
37:4
彼はまたわたしに言われた、「これらの骨に預言して、言え。枯れた骨よ、主の言葉を聞け。
37:5
主なる神はこれらの骨にこう言われる、見よ、わたしはあなたがたのうちに息を入れて、あなたがたを生かす。

それゆえ彼らに預言して言え。主なる神はこう言われる、わが民よ、見よ、わたしはあなたがたの墓を開き、あなたがたを墓からとりあげて、イスラエルの地にはいらせる。

Gospel : Matthew 22:34-40
34 But the Pharisees, when they heard that he had silenced the Sadducees, gathered themselves together.
35 One of them, a lawyer, asked him a question, testing him.
36 “Teacher, which is the greatest commandment in the law?”
37 Jesus said to him, “‘You shall love the Lord your God with all your heart, with all your soul, and with all your mind.’
38 This is the first and great commandment.
39 A second likewise is this, ‘You shall love your neighbour as yourself.’
40 The whole law and the prophets depend on these two commandments.”

1 the LORD’s hand was on me, and he brought me out in the LORD’s Spirit, and set me down in the middle of the valley; and it was full of bones.
2 He caused me to pass by them all around: and behold, there were very many in the open valley; and behold, they were very dry.
3 He said to me, Son of man, can these bones live? I answered, Lord GOD, you know.
4 Again he said to me, Prophesy over these bones, and tell them, you dry bones, hear the LORD’s word.
5 Thus says the Lord GOD to these bones: Behold, I will cause breath to enter into you, and you shall live.
6 I will lay sinews on you, and will bring up flesh on you, and cover you with skin, and put breath in you, and you shall live; and you shall know that I am the LORD.
7 So I prophesied as I was commanded: and as I prophesied, there was a noise, and behold, an earthquake; and the bones came together, bone to its bone.
8 I saw, and, behold, there were sinews on them, and flesh came up, and skin covered them above; but there was no breath in them.
9 Then he said to me, Prophesy to the wind, prophesy, son of man, and tell the wind, Thus says the Lord GOD: Come from the four winds, breath, and breathe on these slain, that they may live.
10 So I prophesied as he commanded me, and the breath came into them, and they lived, and stood up on their feet, an exceedingly great army.
11 Then he said to me, Son of man, these bones are the whole house of Israel: behold, they say, Our bones are dried up, and our hope is lost; we are clean cut off.
12 Therefore prophesy, and tell them, Thus says the Lord GOD: Behold, I will open your graves, and cause you to come up out of your graves, my people; and I will bring you into the land of Israel.
13 You shall know that I am the LORD, when I have opened your graves, and caused you to come up out of your graves, my people.
14 I will put my Spirit in you, and you shall live, and I will place you in your own land: and you shall know that I, the LORD, have spoken it and performed it, says the LORD.

（マタイによる福音 22:1-14)
イエスはまた、譬で彼らに語って言われた、
「天国は、ひとりの王がその王子のために、婚宴を催すようなものである。
王はその僕たちをつかわして、この婚宴に招かれていた人たちを呼ばせたが、その人たちはこようとはしなかった。
そこでまた、ほかの僕たちをつかわして言った、『招かれた人たちに言いなさい。食事の用意ができました。牛も肥えた獣もほふられて、すべての用意ができました。さあ、婚宴においでください』。
しかし、彼らは知らぬ顔をして、ひとりは自分の畑に、ひとりは自分の商売に出て行き、
またほかの人々は、この僕たちをつかまえて侮辱を加えた上、殺してしまった。
そこで王は立腹し、軍隊を送ってそれらの人殺しどもを滅ぼし、その町を焼き払った。
それから僕たちに言った、『婚宴の用意はできているが、招かれていたのは、ふさわしくない人々であった。
だから、町の大通りに出て行って、出会った人はだれでも婚宴に連れてきなさい』。
そこで、僕たちは道に出て行って、出会う人は、悪人でも善人でもみな集めてきたので、婚宴の席は客でいっぱいになった。

むしろ、なんかこれおかしくない？と素直に受け止められない気持ちさえ抱きそうです。
特に最後の部分に…。一体何を云わんとしているのでしょう。
婚宴は「天の国（神様の愛）」、招かれていた人々は、「祭司長や長老たち」、
後から招かれた人々は、それ以外の「すべての人々」が例えられています。
きっとこれは想像がつくことでしょう。
では「婚礼の礼服」は何が例えられているのか？
聖書学者によりますと「感謝の気持ち」ということのようです。
神様は積極的に全ての人々を「天の国」（俗に言う天国というよりも神様の愛の意味合いが強いもの）に招かれています。
私たちはその招きを感じているでしょうか。気付いているでしょうか。
神様の前で、自分の思いを優先し、大きな態度をとり、ある意味、傲慢な姿勢、生き方をしていることはないでしょうか。
あるいは、神様の思いを無視、拒否してたり、逆らったりすることは…。
幸せを感じても、誰がその恵みをくださっているのか知らない、
気付かないでいて、しかも、その恵みに浴することに感謝の念も抱かずにいると、
罪を犯すことになるということでしょう。
今一度、自分自身をちょっと振り返ってみましょう。

Gospel : Matthew 22:1-14
1 Jesus answered and spoke again in parables to them, saying,
2 “The Kingdom of Heaven is like a certain king, who made a marriage feast for his son,
3 and sent out his servants to call those who were invited to the marriage feast, but they would not come.
4 Again he sent out other servants, saying, ‘Tell those who are invited, “Behold, I have prepared my dinner. My cattle and my fatlings are killed, and all things are ready. Come to the marriage feast!”’
5 But they made light of it, and went their ways, one to his own farm, another to his merchandise,
6 and the rest grabbed his servants, and treated them shamefully, and killed them.
7 When the king heard that, he was angry, and sent his armies, destroyed those murderers, and burnt their city.
8 “Then he said to his servants, ‘The wedding is ready, but those who were invited weren’t worthy.
9 Go therefore to the intersections of the highways, and as many as you may find, invite to the marriage feast.’
10 Those servants went out into the highways, and gathered together as many as they found, both bad and good. The wedding was filled with guests.
11 But when the king came in to see the guests, he saw there a man who didn’t have on wedding clothing,
12 and he said to him, ‘Friend, how did you come in here not wearing wedding clothing?’ He was speechless.
13 Then the king said to the servants, ‘Bind him hand and foot, take him away, and throw him into the outer darkness; there is where the weeping and grinding of teeth will be.’
14 For many are called, but few chosen.”

23 I will sanctify my great name, which has been profaned amongst the nations, which you have profaned amongst them; and the nations shall know that I am the LORD, says the Lord GOD, when I shall be sanctified in you before their eyes.
24 For I will take you from amongst the nations, and gather you out of all the countries, and will bring you into your own land.
25 I will sprinkle clean water on you, and you shall be clean: from all your filthiness, and from all your idols, will I cleanse you.
26 I will also give you a new heart, and I will put a new spirit within you; and I will take away the stony heart out of your flesh, and I will give you a heart of flesh.
27 I will put my Spirit within you, and cause you to walk in my statutes, and you shall keep my ordinances, and do them.
28 You shall dwell in the land that I gave to your fathers; and you shall be my people, and I will be your God.

＜今日の聖書物語 *＞
（マタイによる福音 20:1-16）
天国は、ある家の主人が、自分のぶどう園に労働者を雇うために、夜が明けると同時に、出かけて行くようなものである。
彼は労働者たちと、一日一デナリの約束をして、彼らをぶどう園に送った。
それから九時ごろに出て行って、他の人々が市場で何もせずに立っているのを見た。
そして、その人たちに言った、『あなたがたも、ぶどう園に行きなさい。相当な賃銀を払うから』。
そこで、彼らは出かけて行った。主人はまた、十二時ごろと三時ごろとに出て行って、同じようにした。
五時ごろまた出て行くと、まだ立っている人々を見たので、彼らに言った、『なぜ、何もしないで、一日中ここに立っていたのか』。
彼らが『だれもわたしたちを雇ってくれませんから』と答えたので、その人々に言った、『あなたがたも、ぶどう園に行きなさい』。
さて、夕方になって、ぶどう園の主人は管理人に言った、『労働者たちを呼びなさい。そして、最後にきた人々からはじめて順々に最初にきた人々にわたるように、賃銀を払ってやりなさい』。
そこで、五時ごろに雇われた人々がきて、それぞれ一デナリずつもらった。
ところが、最初の人々がきて、もっと多くもらえるだろうと思っていたのに、彼らも一デナリずつもらっただけであった。
もらったとき、家の主人にむかって不平をもらして
言った、『この最後の者たちは一時間しか働かなかったのに、あなたは一日じゅう、労苦と暑さを辛抱したわたしたちと同じ扱いをなさいました』。
そこで彼はそのひとりに答えて言った、『友よ、わたしはあなたに対して不正をしてはいない。あなたはわたしと一デナリの約束をしたではないか。
自分の賃銀をもらって行きなさい。わたしは、この最後の者にもあなたと同様に払ってやりたいのだ。
自分の物を自分がしたいようにするのは、当りまえではないか。それともわたしが気前よくしているので、ねたましく思うのか』。
このように、あとの者は先になり、先の者はあとになるであろう」。

「主人」に象徴されている神様の公平さに、不公平を感じ、神様の正当性に不正当な印象を持ってしまい、後の者が先になること、後から来た者に追い越されることの、悔しさと苛立ちを想像し、なにかしっくりこない気持ち、報われないことへの不満や納得し難い感情が湧く人は多いかもしれません。
わたしは7人兄弟の末っ子。
小学生の時、兄・姉たちを羨ましく思ったことがありました。
「兄・姉たちは自分より長くお父さんとお母さんと居る。
僕は最後に生まれたから、一番短い。ずるい。」と・・・。
でも「僕」は気付きました。
最後に生まれてきたけど、兄・姉たちと同じように愛されている。（もっとかもしれない。）
親は、最後に生まれてきた子も同じように愛するのです。
この気付きに今日の福音を理解するヒントがあるような気がします。
神様の愛、恵は皆、同じように与えられているのです。
善人にも悪人にも。
「わたしは罪人だから与えられる恵は少ないし、愛されるわけがない。」？
そうでしょうか。
その罪を全てゆるしてくださるという恵を神様は用意しておられ、それほどまでに愛しているのです。

天国は、ある家の主人が、自分のぶどう園に労働者を雇うために、夜が明けると同時に、出かけて行くようなものである。
彼は労働者たちと、一日一デナリの約束をして、彼らをぶどう園に送った。
それから九時ごろに出て行って、他の人々が市場で何もせずに立っているのを見た。
そして、その人たちに言った、『あなたがたも、ぶどう園に行きなさい。相当な賃銀を払うから』。
そこで、彼らは出かけて行った。主人はまた、十二時ごろと三時ごろとに出て行って、同じようにした。
五時ごろまた出て行くと、まだ立っている人々を見たので、彼らに言った、『なぜ、何もしないで、一日中ここに立っていたのか』。
彼らが『だれもわたしたちを雇ってくれませんから』と答えたので、その人々に言った、『あなたがたも、ぶどう園に行きなさい』。
さて、夕方になって、ぶどう園の主人は管理人に言った、『労働者たちを呼びなさい。そして、最後にきた人々からはじめて順々に最初にきた人々にわたるように、賃銀を払ってやりなさい』。
そこで、五時ごろに雇われた人々がきて、それぞれ一デナリずつもらった。
ところが、最初の人々がきて、もっと多くもらえるだろうと思っていたのに、彼らも一デナリずつもらっただけであった。
もらったとき、家の主人にむかって不平をもらして
言った、『この最後の者たちは一時間しか働かなかったのに、あなたは一日じゅう、労苦と暑さを辛抱したわたしたちと同じ扱いをなさいました』。
そこで彼はそのひとりに答えて言った、『友よ、わたしはあなたに対して不正をしてはいない。あなたはわたしと一デナリの約束をしたではないか。
自分の賃銀をもらって行きなさい。わたしは、この最後の者にもあなたと同様に払ってやりたいのだ。
自分の物を自分がしたいようにするのは、当りまえではないか。それともわたしが気前よくしているので、ねたましく思うのか』。
このように、あとの者は先になり、先の者はあとになるであろう」。

「人の子よ、イスラエルの牧者たちに向かって預言せよ。預言して彼ら牧者に言え、主なる神はこう言われる、わざわいなるかな、自分自身を養うイスラエルの牧者。牧者は群れを養うべき者ではないか。

ところが、あなたがたは脂肪を食べ、毛織物をまとい、肥えたものをほふるが、群れを養わない。

あなたがたは弱った者を強くせず、病んでいる者をいやさず、傷ついた者をつつまず、迷い出た者を引き返らせず、うせた者を尋ねず、彼らを手荒く、きびしく治めている。

彼らは牧者がないために散り、野のもろもろの獣のえじきになる。

わが羊は散らされている。彼らはもろもろの山と、もろもろの高き丘にさまよい、わが羊は地の全面に散らされているが、これを捜す者もなく、尋ねる者もない。

それゆえ、牧者よ、主の言葉を聞け。

Gospel : Matthew 20:1-16
1 “For the Kingdom of Heaven is like a man who was the master of a household, who went out early in the morning to hire labourers for his vineyard.
2 When he had agreed with the labourers for a denarius a day, he sent them into his vineyard.
3 He went out about the third hour, and saw others standing idle in the marketplace.
4 He said to them, ‘You also go into the vineyard, and whatever is right I will give you.’ So they went their way.
5 Again he went out about the sixth and the ninth hour, and did likewise.
6 About the eleventh hour he went out, and found others standing idle. He said to them, ‘Why do you stand here all day idle?’
7 “They said to him, ‘Because no one has hired us.’
“He said to them, ‘You also go into the vineyard, and you will receive whatever is right.’
8 When evening had come, the lord of the vineyard said to his manager, ‘Call the labourers and pay them their wages, beginning from the last to the first.’
9 “When those who were hired at about the eleventh hour came, they each received a denarius.
10 When the first came, they supposed that they would receive more; and they likewise each received a denarius.
11 When they received it, they murmured against the master of the household,
12 saying, ‘These last have spent one hour, and you have made them equal to us, who have borne the burden of the day and the scorching heat!’
13 “But he answered one of them, ‘Friend, I am doing you no wrong. Didn’t you agree with me for a denarius?
14 Take that which is yours, and go your way. It is my desire to give to this last just as much as to you.
15 Isn’t it lawful for me to do what I want to with what I own? Or is your eye evil, because I am good?’
16 So the last will be first, and the first last. For many are called, but few are chosen.”

Ezekiel 34:1-11
1 the LORD’s word came to me, saying,
2 Son of man, prophesy against the shepherds of Israel, prophesy, and tell them, even to the shepherds, Thus says the Lord GOD: Woe to the shepherds of Israel who feed themselves! Shouldn’t the shepherds feed the sheep?
3 You eat the fat, and you clothe yourself with the wool, you kill the fatlings; but you don’t feed the sheep.
4 You haven’t strengthened the diseased, neither have you healed that which was sick, neither have you bound up that which was broken, neither have you brought back that which was driven away, neither have you sought that which was lost; but with force and with rigor you have ruled over them.
5 They were scattered, because there was no shepherd; and they became food to all the animals of the field, and were scattered.
6 My sheep wandered through all the mountains, and on every high hill: yes, my sheep were scattered on all the surface of the earth; and there was no one who searched or sought.
7 Therefore, you shepherds, hear the LORD’s word:
8 As I live, says the Lord GOD, surely because my sheep became a prey, and my sheep became food to all the animals of the field, because there was no shepherd, neither did my shepherds search for my sheep, but the shepherds fed themselves, and didn’t feed my sheep;
9 therefore, you shepherds, hear the LORD’s word:
10 Thus says the Lord GOD: Behold, I am against the shepherds; and I will require my sheep at their hand, and cause them to cease from feeding the sheep; neither shall the shepherds feed themselves any more; and I will deliver my sheep from their mouth, that they may not be food for them.
11 For thus says the Lord GOD: Behold, I myself, even I, will search for my sheep, and will seek them out.

弟子たちはこれを聞いて非常に驚いて言った、「では、だれが救われることができるのだろう」。

金持ちの青年の話の続きです。前の箇所で青年はイエスに対して永遠の命を受け継ぐには、どうすればよいかを質問します。
これは言い換えるならば、本当の幸せを手にするためには、どうすればよいかということです。
つまり青年は、豊かに富を得ていても、幸せではなかったということです。
しかし、この青年は人生を真剣に生きていました。それはイエスへの質問からも分かるように基本的な掟をしっかりと守っていたからです。
現代の多くの青年と比べてもはるかに真面目に人生を歩んでいた人と言えるかもしれません。
この青年に対して、イエスは「持ち物を売り払い。貧しい人に施しなさい。
それから私に従いなさい」と導かれます。しかし彼は悲しみながら去っていきました。
人間の幸せとは何か。
永遠の命を得る。
青年もそれを求めていましたが、追求しようとは考えていなかったと思います。
それは自分のすべてをかけて求めていくべきものですが、富を手放せない心があった彼はそれができなかったからです。
私たちも本当の幸せを手にするために、すべてをかけているでしょうか。
「らくだが針の穴を通る方がまだ易しい」というイエスの厳しい言葉は、多くの人が片手間で幸せが得られると考えているからではないでしょうか。
後半のペトロたちの「このとおり、私たちは何もかも捨ててあなたに従ってまいりました」という言葉に対して、イエスは永遠の命の約束をしています。
確かにペトロたちは、自分の命をかけてまでも最後までイエスに従っていきます。
彼らの生き方は、私たちに足りないものが何かを教えてくれています。
それは「覚悟」というものです。
イエスのために失うもの、捨てなければいけないものが必ず私たちにも出てくると思います。
そのときにそれを手放す覚悟をつねに私たちは持っていなければならないということです。

23 Jesus said to his disciples, “Most certainly I say to you, a rich man will enter into the Kingdom of Heaven with difficulty.
24 Again I tell you, it is easier for a camel to go through a needle’s eye, than for a rich man to enter into God’s Kingdom.”
25 When the disciples heard it, they were exceedingly astonished, saying, “Who then can be saved?”
26 Looking at them, Jesus said, “With men this is impossible, but with God all things are possible.”
27 Then Peter answered, “Behold, we have left everything, and followed you. What then will we have?”
28 Jesus said to them, “Most certainly I tell you that you who have followed me, in the regeneration when the Son of Man will sit on the throne of his glory, you also will sit on twelve thrones, judging the twelve tribes of Israel.
29 Everyone who has left houses, or brothers, or sisters, or father, or mother, or wife, or children, or lands, for my name’s sake, will receive one hundred times, and will inherit eternal life.
30 But many will be last who are first; and first who are last.

3 behold, you are wiser than Daniel; there is no secret that is hidden from you;
4 by your wisdom and by your understanding you have gotten yourself riches, and have gotten gold and silver into your treasures;
5 by your great wisdom and by your traffic you have increased your riches, and your heart is lifted up because of your riches?
6 therefore thus says the Lord GOD: Because you have set your heart as the heart of God,
7 therefore, behold, I will bring strangers on you, the terrible of the nations; and they shall draw their swords against the beauty of your wisdom, and they shall defile your brightness.

そのころ、マリヤは立って、大急ぎで山里へむかいユダの町に行き、
ザカリヤの家にはいってエリサベツにあいさつした。
エリサベツがマリヤのあいさつを聞いたとき、その子が胎内でおどった。エリサベツは聖霊に満たされ、
声高く叫んで言った、「あなたは女の中で祝福されたかた、あなたの胎の実も祝福されています。
主の母上がわたしのところにきてくださるとは、なんという光栄でしょう。
ごらんなさい。あなたのあいさつの声がわたしの耳にはいったとき、子供が胎内で喜びおどりました。
主のお語りになったことが必ず成就すると信じた女は、なんとさいわいなことでしょう」。
するとマリヤは言った、
「わたしの魂は主をあがめ、
わたしの霊は救主なる神をたたえます。
この卑しい女をさえ、心にかけてくださいました。
今からのち代々の人々は、わたしをさいわいな女と言うでしょう、
力あるかたが、わたしに大きな事をしてくださったからです。
そのみ名はきよく、
そのあわれみは、代々限りなく
主をかしこみ恐れる者に及びます。

心の思いのおごり高ぶる者を追い散らし、

聖母の被昇天の祭日は、私たちにどんなメッセージを送っているのでしょうか。
5世紀には既に祝われていた被昇天ですが、ピオ12世は「マリアは霊肉ともに天に上げられた」ことを教義として宣言しました。
マリアは特別に選ばれ、特別な恵みで満たされていることを伝えようとしていることは明らかですが、それだけではないでしょう。
私たちは、マリアを特別視することによって、場合によって私たちとのつながりを持たせないようにしてしまうことがあるかもしれませんが、マリアはあくまで人間です。
だからこそ「昇天」ではなく、「被昇天」なのであって、人間であるマリアの霊も肉も、神の復活の命に上げられたことが大事なのだと言うことができます。

ザカリヤの家にはいってエリサベツにあいさつした。
エリサベツがマリヤのあいさつを聞いたとき、その子が胎内でおどった。エリサベツは聖霊に満たされ、
声高く叫んで言った、「あなたは女の中で祝福されたかた、あなたの胎の実も祝福されています。
主の母上がわたしのところにきてくださるとは、なんという光栄でしょう。
ごらんなさい。あなたのあいさつの声がわたしの耳にはいったとき、子供が胎内で喜びおどりました。
主のお語りになったことが必ず成就すると信じた女は、なんとさいわいなことでしょう」。
するとマリヤは言った、
「わたしの魂は主をあがめ、
わたしの霊は救主なる神をたたえます。
この卑しい女をさえ、心にかけてくださいました。
今からのち代々の人々は、わたしをさいわいな女と言うでしょう、
力あるかたが、わたしに大きな事をしてくださったからです。
そのみ名はきよく、
そのあわれみは、代々限りなく
主をかしこみ恐れる者に及びます。
主はみ腕をもって力をふるい、
心の思いのおごり高ぶる者を追い散らし、
権力ある者を王座から引きおろし、
卑しい者を引き上げ、

また、大いなるしるしが天に現れた。ひとりの女が太陽を着て、足の下に月を踏み、その頭に十二の星の冠をかぶっていた。

この女は子を宿しており、産みの苦しみと悩みとのために、泣き叫んでいた。
12:3
また、もう一つのしるしが天に現れた。見よ、大きな、赤い龍がいた。それに七つの頭と十の角とがあり、その頭に七つの冠をかぶっていた。

その尾は天の星の三分の一を掃き寄せ、それらを地に投げ落した。龍は子を産もうとしている女の前に立ち、生れたなら、その子を食い尽そうとかまえていた。

女は男の子を産んだが、彼は鉄のつえをもってすべての国民を治めるべき者である。この子は、神のみもとに、その御座のところに、引き上げられた。

Gospel : Luke 1:39-56
39 Mary arose in those days and went into the hill country with haste, into a city of Judah,
40 and entered into the house of Zacharias and greeted Elizabeth.
41 When Elizabeth heard Mary’s greeting, the baby lept in her womb, and Elizabeth was filled with the Holy Spirit.
42 She called out with a loud voice, and said, “Blessed are you amongst women, and blessed is the fruit of your womb!
43 Why am I so favoured, that the mother of my Lord should come to me?
44 For behold, when the voice of your greeting came into my ears, the baby lept in my womb for joy!
45 Blessed is she who believed, for there will be a fulfilment of the things which have been spoken to her from the Lord!”
46 Mary said,
“My soul magnifies the Lord.
47 My spirit has rejoiced in God my Saviour,
48 for he has looked at the humble state of his servant.
For behold, from now on, all generations will call me blessed.
49 For he who is mighty has done great things for me.
Holy is his name.
50 His mercy is for generations of generations on those who fear him.
51 He has shown strength with his arm.
He has scattered the proud in the imagination of their hearts.
52 He has put down princes from their thrones.
And has exalted the lowly.
53 He has filled the hungry with good things.
He has sent the rich away empty.
54 He has given help to Israel, his servant, that he might remember mercy,
55 As he spoke to our fathers,
to Abraham and his offspring forever.”
56 Mary stayed with her about three months, and then returned to her house.

11:19a God’s temple that is in heaven was opened, and the ark of the Lord’s covenant was seen in his temple.
12:1 A great sign was seen in heaven: a woman clothed with the sun, and the moon under her feet, and on her head a crown of twelve stars.
2 She was with child. She cried out in pain, labouring to give birth.
3 Another sign was seen in heaven. Behold, a great red dragon, having seven heads and ten horns, and on his heads seven crowns.
4 His tail drew one third of the stars of the sky, and threw them to the earth. The dragon stood before the woman who was about to give birth, so that when she gave birth he might devour her child.
5 She gave birth to a son, a male child, who is to rule all the nations with a rod of iron. Her child was caught up to God, and to his throne.
6a The woman fled into the wilderness, where she has a place prepared by God,
10ab I heard a loud voice in heaven, saying, “Now the salvation, the power, and the Kingdom of our God, and the authority of his Christ has come;

20 But now Christ has been raised from the dead. He became the first fruits of those who are asleep.
21 For since death came by man, the resurrection of the dead also came by man.
22 For as in Adam all die, so also in Christ all will be made alive.
23 But each in his own order: Christ the first fruits, then those who are Christ’s, at his coming.
24 Then the end comes, when he will deliver up the Kingdom to God, even the Father; when he will have abolished all rule and all authority and power.
25 For he must reign until he has put all his enemies under his feet.
26 The last enemy that will be abolished is death.
27 For, “He put all things in subjection under his feet.” But when he says, “All things are put in subjection”, it is evident that he is excepted who subjected all things to him.

すると、つかさたちは王に言った、「この人を殺してください。このような言葉をのべて、この町に残っている兵士の手と、すべての民の手を弱くしているからです。この人は民の安泰を求めないで、その災を求めているのです」。
38:5
ゼデキヤ王は言った、「見よ、彼はあなたがたの手にある。王はあなたがたに逆らって何事をもなし得ない」。
38:6
そこで彼らはエレミヤを捕え、監視の庭にある王子マルキヤの穴に投げ入れた。すなわち、綱をもってエレミヤをつり降ろしたが、その穴には水がなく、泥だけであったので、エレミヤは泥の中に沈んだ。
38:8
エベデメレクは王の家から出て行って王に言った、
38:9
「王なるわが君よ、この人々が預言者エレミヤにしたことはみな良いことではありません。彼を穴に投げ入れました。町に食物がなくなりましたから、彼はそこで餓死するでしょう」。
38:10
王はエチオピヤびとエベデメレクに命じて言った、「ここから三人のひとを連れて行って、預言者エレミヤを、死なないうちに穴から引き上げなさい」。

あなたがたは、弱り果てて意気そそうしないために、罪人らのこのような反抗を耐え忍んだかたのことを、思いみるべきである。

4 Then the princes said to the king, “Please let this man be put to death; because he weakens the hands of the men of war who remain in this city, and the hands of all the people, in speaking such words to them: for this man doesn’t seek the welfare of this people, but the hurt.”
5 Zedekiah the king said, Behold, he is in your hand; for the king is not he who can do anything against you.
6 Then took they Jeremiah, and cast him into the dungeon of Malchijah the king’s son, that was in the court of the guard: and they let down Jeremiah with cords. In the dungeon there was no water, but mire; and Jeremiah sank in the mire.
8 Ebedmelech went out of the king’s house, and spoke to the king, saying,
9 My lord the king, these men have done evil in all that they have done to Jeremiah the prophet, whom they have cast into the dungeon; and he is likely to die in the place where he is, because of the famine; for there is no more bread in the city.
10 Then the king commanded Ebedmelech the Ethiopian, saying, Take from here thirty men with you, and take up Jeremiah the prophet out of the dungeon, before he dies.

1 Therefore let us also, seeing we are surrounded by so great a cloud of witnesses, lay aside every weight and the sin which so easily entangles us, and let us run with perseverance the race that is set before us,

するとイエスは言われた、「幼な子らをそのままにしておきなさい。わたしのところに来るのをとめてはならない。天国はこのような者の国である」。
そして手を彼らの上においてから、そこを去って行かれた。

み言葉について

「天の国はこのような者たちのものである。」
イエスさまはご自分のところに連れられて来た子供たちを弟子たちに指し示して、このように仰ったのでした。
イエス様がお示しになった子供たちとは、一般の、どこにでもいる、ごく普通の子供たちでした。
ではイエス様は弟子たちと私たち大人にどのような点で、子供のようになりなさいと仰っているのでしょうか。
子供の特徴は無邪気です。幼い子供の目がどれほど美しいか私たちも知っているでしょう。
また子供は親とか先生の話を素直に信じます。
さらに子供は損得を考えないのです。
結局。イエス様はみんなに向かって、天国に入りたければ素直に神様をうけいれ、心から神様を愛しなさいと仰っているのです。
子供たちはたくさんのことを覚え、経験しながら身も心も成長してゆきます。
イエス様は私たちみんなに、天国への道を教えてくださいましたし、それと同時に、そこへ着くための情報を、毎日私たちの良心やいろいろの方法を使って伝えて下さっています。

主の言葉がわたしに臨んだ、

「あなたがたがイスラエルの地について、このことわざを用い、『父たちが、酢いぶどうを食べたので子供たちの歯がうく』というのはどんなわけか。
18:3
主なる神は言われる、わたしは生きている、あなたがたは再びイスラエルでこのことわざを用いることはない。
18:4
見よ、すべての魂はわたしのものである。父の魂も子の魂もわたしのものである。罪を犯した魂は必ず死ぬ。
18:5
人がもし正しくあって、公道と正義とを行い、
18:6
山の上で食事をせず、また目をあげてイスラエルの家の偶像を仰がず、隣り人の妻を犯さず、汚れの時にある女に近づかず、
18:7
だれをもしえたげず、質物を返し、決して奪わず、食物を飢えた者に与え、裸の者に衣服を着せ、
18:8
利息や高利をとって貸さず、手をひいて悪を行わず、人と人との間に真実のさばきを行い、
18:9
わたしの定めに歩み、わたしのおきてを忠実に守るならば、彼は正しい人である。彼は必ず生きることができると、主なる神は言われる。

しかし彼が子を生み、その子が荒い者で、人の血を流し、これらの義務の一つをも行わず、

14 But Jesus said, “Allow the little children, and don’t forbid them to come to me; for the Kingdom of Heaven belongs to ones like these.”
15 He laid his hands on them, and departed from there.

Ezekiel 18:1-10, 13b, 30-32
1 the LORD’s word came to me again, saying,
2 What do you mean, that you use this proverb concerning the land of Israel, saying, The fathers have eaten sour grapes, and the children’s teeth are set on edge?
3 As I live, says the Lord GOD, you shall not use this proverb any more in Israel.
4 Behold, all souls are mine; as the soul of the father, so also the soul of the son is mine: the soul who sins, he shall die.
5 But if a man is just, and does that which is lawful and right,
6 and has not eaten on the mountains, neither has lifted up his eyes to the idols of the house of Israel, neither has defiled his neighbour’s wife, neither has come near to a woman in her impurity,
7 and has not wronged any, but has restored to the debtor his pledge, has taken nothing by robbery, has given his bread to the hungry, and has covered the naked with a garment;
8 he who has not lent on interest, neither has taken any increase, who has withdrawn his hand from iniquity, has executed true justice between man and man,
9 has walked in my statutes, and has kept my ordinances, to deal truly; he is just, he shall surely live, says the Lord GOD.
10 If he fathers a son who is a robber who sheds blood, and who does any one of these things,
13b he shall not live: he has done all these abominations; he shall surely die; his blood shall be on him.
30 Therefore I will judge you, house of Israel, everyone according to his ways, says the Lord GOD. Return, and turn yourselves from all your transgressions; so iniquity shall not be your ruin.

1 the LORD’s word came to me again, saying,
2 What do you mean, that you use this proverb concerning the land of Israel, saying, The fathers have eaten sour grapes, and the children’s teeth are set on edge?
3 As I live, says the Lord GOD, you shall not use this proverb any more in Israel.
4 Behold, all souls are mine; as the soul of the father, so also the soul of the son is mine: the soul who sins, he shall die.
5 But if a man is just, and does that which is lawful and right,
6 and has not eaten on the mountains, neither has lifted up his eyes to the idols of the house of Israel, neither has defiled his neighbour’s wife, neither has come near to a woman in her impurity,
7 and has not wronged any, but has restored to the debtor his pledge, has taken nothing by robbery, has given his bread to the hungry, and has covered the naked with a garment;

Gospel : Matthew 19:3-12
3 Pharisees came to him, testing him, and saying, “Is it lawful for a man to divorce his wife for any reason?”
4 He answered, “Haven’t you read that he who made them from the beginning made them male and female,
5 and said, ‘For this cause a man shall leave his father and mother, and shall join to his wife; and the two shall become one flesh?’
6 So that they are no more two, but one flesh. What therefore God has joined together, don’t let man tear apart.”
7 They asked him, “Why then did Moses command us to give her a bill of divorce, and divorce her?”
8 He said to them, “Moses, because of the hardness of your hearts, allowed you to divorce your wives, but from the beginning it has not been so.
9 I tell you that whoever divorces his wife, except for sexual immorality, and marries another, commits adultery; and he who marries her when she is divorced commits adultery.”
10 His disciples said to him, “If this is the case of the man with his wife, it is not expedient to marry.”
11 But he said to them, “Not all men can receive this saying, but those to whom it is given.
12 For there are eunuchs who were born that way from their mother’s womb, and there are eunuchs who were made eunuchs by men; and there are eunuchs who made themselves eunuchs for the Kingdom of Heaven’s sake. He who is able to receive it, let him receive it.”

2 Son of man, cause Jerusalem to know her abominations;

4 As for your birth, in the day you were born your navel was not cut, neither were you washed in water to cleanse you; you weren’t salted at all, nor swaddled at all.

10 I clothed you also with embroidered work, and shod you with sealskin, and I dressed you about with fine linen, and covered you with silk.
11 I decked you with ornaments, and I put bracelets on your hands, and a chain on your neck.
12 I put a ring on your nose, and earrings in your ears, and a beautiful crown on your head.
13 Thus you were decked with gold and silver; and your clothing was of fine linen, and silk, and embroidered work; you ate fine flour, and honey, and oil; and you were exceeding beautiful, and you prospered to royal estate.
14 Your renown went out amongst the nations for your beauty; for it was perfect, through my majesty which I had put on you, says the Lord GOD.
15 But you trusted in your beauty, and played the prostitute because of your renown, and poured out your prostitution on everyone who passed by; his it was.
60 Nevertheless I will remember my covenant with you in the days of your youth, and I will establish to you an everlasting covenant.
63 that you may remember, and be confounded, and never open your mouth any more, because of your shame, when I have forgiven you all that you have done, says the Lord GOD.

1 Again the LORD’s word came to me, saying,
2 Son of man, cause Jerusalem to know her abominations;
3 and say, Thus says the Lord GOD to Jerusalem: Your origin and your birth is of the land of the Canaanite; the Amorite was your father, and your mother was a Hittite.
4 As for your birth, in the day you were born your navel was not cut, neither were you washed in water to cleanse you; you weren’t salted at all, nor swaddled at all.
5 No eye pitied you, to do any of these things to you, to have compassion on you; but you were cast out in the open field, for that your person was abhorred, in the day that you were born.
6 When I passed by you, and saw you wallowing in your blood, I said to you, Though you are in your blood, live; yes, I said to you, Though you are in your blood, live.
7 I caused you to multiply as that which grows in the field, and you increased and grew great, and you attained to excellent ornament; your breasts were fashioned, and your hair was grown; yet you were naked and bare.
8 Now when I passed by you, and looked at you, behold, your time was the time of love; and I spread my skirt over you, and covered your nakedness: yes, I swore to you, and entered into a covenant with you, says the Lord GOD, and you became mine.
9 Then washed I you with water; yes, I thoroughly washed away your blood from you, and I anointed you with oil.
10 I clothed you also with embroidered work, and shod you with sealskin, and I dressed you about with fine linen, and covered you with silk.
11 I decked you with ornaments, and I put bracelets on your hands, and a chain on your neck.
12 I put a ring on your nose, and earrings in your ears, and a beautiful crown on your head.
13 Thus you were decked with gold and silver; and your clothing was of fine linen, and silk, and embroidered work; you ate fine flour, and honey, and oil; and you were exceeding beautiful, and you prospered to royal estate.
14 Your renown went out amongst the nations for your beauty; for it was perfect, through my majesty which I had put on you, says the Lord GOD.
15 But you trusted in your beauty, and played the prostitute because of your renown, and poured out your prostitution on everyone who passed by; his it was.
60 Nevertheless I will remember my covenant with you in the days of your youth, and I will establish to you an everlasting covenant.
63 that you may remember, and be confounded, and never open your mouth any more, because of your shame, when I have forgiven you all that you have done, says the Lord GOD.

＜今日の聖書物語 *＞
（マタイによる福音 18:21--19:1）
そのとき、ペテロがイエスのもとにきて言った、「主よ、兄弟がわたしに対して罪を犯した場合、幾たびゆるさねばなりませんか。七たびまでですか」。
イエスは彼に言われた、「わたしは七たびまでとは言わない。七たびを七十倍するまでにしなさい。
それだから、天国は王が僕たちと決算をするようなものだ。
決算が始まると、一万タラントの負債のある者が、王のところに連れられてきた。
しかし、返せなかったので、主人は、その人自身とその妻子と持ち物全部とを売って返すように命じた。
そこで、この僕はひれ伏して哀願した、『どうぞお待ちください。全部お返しいたしますから』。
僕の主人はあわれに思って、彼をゆるし、その負債を免じてやった。
その僕が出て行くと、百デナリを貸しているひとりの仲間に出会い、彼をつかまえ、首をしめて『借金を返せ』と言った。
そこでこの仲間はひれ伏し、『どうか待ってくれ。返すから』と言って頼んだ。
しかし承知せずに、その人をひっぱって行って、借金を返すまで獄に入れた。
その人の仲間たちは、この様子を見て、非常に心をいため、行ってそのことをのこらず主人に話した。
そこでこの主人は彼を呼びつけて言った、『悪い僕、わたしに願ったからこそ、あの負債を全部ゆるしてやったのだ。
わたしがあわれんでやったように、あの仲間をあわれんでやるべきではなかったか』。
そして主人は立腹して、負債全部を返してしまうまで、彼を獄吏に引きわたした。
あなたがためいめいも、もし心から兄弟をゆるさないならば、わたしの天の父もまたあなたがたに対して、そのようになさるであろう」。
イエスはこれらのことを語り終えられてから、ガリラヤを去ってヨルダンの向こうのユダヤの地方へ行かれた。

＜今日の『み言葉』＞
み言葉について
（マタイによる福音 18:21--19:1）
神のあわれみがどれだけ深いものであるかを今日の福音から知ることができます。
今日の福音では、一生かかっても返すことのできない借金を帳消しにする王のたとえが語られています。
帳消しにすることも可能であることを王は示してくれています。
普通の考えでしたら、ありえないことかもしれません。
しかし、最終的にはそれもあり得ることなのです。
もし私たちが許せないことがあっても、それをゆるすことが最終的な解決方法ならば、それをしなければなりません。
ゆるしのないところに、救いはないからです。
裁く人ではなく、ゆるす人になることができますように、その恵みを祈り求めましょう。

み言葉について

Gospel : Matthew 18:21--19:1
18:21 Then Peter came and said to him, “Lord, how often shall my brother sin against me, and I forgive him? Until seven times?”
22 Jesus said to him, “I don’t tell you until seven times, but, until seventy times seven.
23 Therefore the Kingdom of Heaven is like a certain king, who wanted to reconcile accounts with his servants.
24 When he had begun to reconcile, one was brought to him who owed him ten thousand talents.
25 But because he couldn’t pay, his lord commanded him to be sold, with his wife, his children, and all that he had, and payment to be made.
26 The servant therefore fell down and knelt before him, saying, ‘Lord, have patience with me, and I will repay you all!’
27 The lord of that servant, being moved with compassion, released him, and forgave him the debt.
28 “But that servant went out, and found one of his fellow servants, who owed him one hundred denarii, and he grabbed him, and took him by the throat, saying, ‘Pay me what you owe!’
29 “So his fellow servant fell down at his feet and begged him, saying, ‘Have patience with me, and I will repay you!’
30 He would not, but went and cast him into prison, until he should pay back that which was due.
31 So when his fellow servants saw what was done, they were exceedingly sorry, and came and told to their lord all that was done.
32 Then his lord called him in, and said to him, ‘You wicked servant! I forgave you all that debt, because you begged me.
33 Shouldn’t you also have had mercy on your fellow servant, even as I had mercy on you?’
34 His lord was angry, and delivered him to the tormentors, until he should pay all that was due to him.
35 So my heavenly Father will also do to you, if you don’t each forgive your brother from your hearts for his misdeeds.”

2 Son of man, you dwell in the middle of the rebellious house, who have eyes to see, and don’t see, who have ears to hear, and don’t hear; for they are a rebellious house.
3 Therefore, you son of man, prepare your stuff for moving, and move by day in their sight; and you shall move from your place to another place in their sight: it may be they will consider, though they are a rebellious house.
4 You shall bring out your stuff by day in their sight, as stuff for moving; and you shall go out yourself at evening in their sight, as when men go out into exile.
5 Dig through the wall in their sight, and carry your stuff out that way.
6 In their sight you shall bear it on your shoulder, and carry it out in the dark; you shall cover your face, so that you don’t see the land: for I have set you for a sign to the house of Israel.
7 I did so as I was commanded: I brought out my stuff by day, as stuff for removing, and in the evening I dug through the wall with my hand; I brought it out in the dark, and bore it on my shoulder in their sight.
8 In the morning, the LORD’s word came to me, saying,
9 Son of man, has not the house of Israel, the rebellious house, said to you, What are you doing?
10 Say to them, Thus says the Lord GOD: This burden concerns the prince in Jerusalem, and all the house of Israel amongst whom they are.
11 Say, I am your sign: like as I have done, so shall it be done to them; they shall go into exile, into captivity.
12 The prince who is amongst them shall bear on his shoulder in the dark, and shall go out: they shall dig through the wall to carry out thereby: he shall cover his face, because he shall not see the land with his eyes.
