＜今日の聖書物語 *＞
（ルカによる福音 9:28b-36）
これらのことを話された後、八日ほどたってから、イエスはペテロ、ヨハネ、ヤコブを連れて、祈るために山に登られた。
祈っておられる間に、み顔の様が変り、み衣がまばゆいほどに白く輝いた。
すると見よ、ふたりの人がイエスと語り合っていた。それはモーセとエリヤであったが、
栄光の中に現れて、イエスがエルサレムで遂げようとする最後のことについて話していたのである。
ペテロとその仲間の者たちとは熟睡していたが、目をさますと、イエスの栄光の姿と、共に立っているふたりの人とを見た。
このふたりがイエスを離れ去ろうとしたとき、ペテロは自分が何を言っているのかわからないで、イエスに言った、「先生、わたしたちがここにいるのは、すばらしいことです。それで、わたしたちは小屋を三つ建てましょう。一つはあなたのために、一つはモーセのために、一つはエリヤのために」。
彼がこう言っている間に、雲がわき起って彼らをおおいはじめた。そしてその雲に囲まれたとき、彼らは恐れた。
すると雲の中から声があった、「これはわたしの子、わたしの選んだ者である。これに聞け」。
そして声が止んだとき、イエスがひとりだけになっておられた。弟子たちは沈黙を守って、自分たちが見たことについては、そのころだれにも話さなかった。

＜今日の『み言葉』＞
み言葉について
（ルカによる福音 9:28b-36）
「栄光に輝くイエス」が傍にいらっしゃるのに、弟子たちは「雲に包まれて」恐れ、その時に『これはわたしの子、これに聞け』という声を聞いた。
つまり、弟子たちは、復活後のキリストの姿を先取りして見たのである。
今日の『叙唱』は「キリストは、人々が十字架につまずくことのないように、選ばれた弟子たちの前で栄光を現し、その身体はまばゆい輝きに満たされた。
こうしてキリストのからだである教会も、十字架の道によって栄光に至ることが示されました」と祈る。
イエスは1つの罪さえも犯してないのに十字架上で殺された。
それは、全人類を救うという御父の御旨を果たすため、人を愛するがためであった。
しかし、大預言者と信じて期待していた人々にとって、イエスの死はつまずきとなった。
「栄光に輝くイエス」が傍にいらっしゃるにもかかわらず恐れる弟子たち、後にイエスが苦しみを受け、十字架につけられる姿を見るならば、どうなることだろうか。
イエスは、受難に先駆けて、この栄光に輝く姿を示された。
それは、師としての弟子を想うイエスの優しさではなかろうか。
イエスが十字架につけられる時、弟子たちは一人残らず、イエスの傍から離れた。同じように殺されるのではないかと恐れて。
教会の頭となったペトロでさえも、イエスのことを知らないと言って、イエスのもとから去った。
しかし、復活したキリストに出会った弟子たちは、師に力づけられ、死をも恐れずに、キリストを宣べ伝えた。
「栄光に輝くイエス」、この復活したキリストを見失うことなく、キリストのからだの一部としてしっかり歩んでいく時に、わたしたちも確かな幸いを得るに違いない。

Gospel : Luke 9:28b-36
28b he took with him Peter, John, and James, and went up onto the mountain to pray.
29 As he was praying, the appearance of his face was altered, and his clothing became white and dazzling.
30 Behold, two men were talking with him, who were Moses and Elijah,
31 who appeared in glory, and spoke of his departure, which he was about to accomplish at Jerusalem.
32 Now Peter and those who were with him were heavy with sleep, but when they were fully awake, they saw his glory, and the two men who stood with him.
33 As they were parting from him, Peter said to Jesus, “Master, it is good for us to be here. Let’s make three tents: one for you, and one for Moses, and one for Elijah,” not knowing what he said.
34 While he said these things, a cloud came and overshadowed them, and they were afraid as they entered into the cloud.
35 A voice came out of the cloud, saying, “This is my beloved Son. Listen to him!”
36 When the voice came, Jesus was found alone. They were silent, and told no one in those days any of the things which they had seen.
