＜今日の聖書物語 *＞
（ルカによる福音 7:11-17）
そののち、間もなく、ナインという町へおいでになったが、弟子たちや大ぜいの群衆も一緒に行った。
町の門に近づかれると、ちょうど、あるやもめにとってひとりむすこであった者が死んだので、葬りに出すところであった。大ぜいの町の人たちが、その母につきそっていた。
主はこの婦人を見て深い同情を寄せられ、「泣かないでいなさい」と言われた。
そして近寄って棺に手をかけられると、かついでいる者たちが立ち止まったので、「若者よ、さあ、起きなさい」と言われた。
すると、死人が起き上がって物を言い出した。イエスは彼をその母にお渡しになった。
人々はみな恐れをいだき、「大預言者がわたしたちの間に現れた」、また、「神はその民を顧みてくださった」と言って、神をほめたたえた。
イエスについてのこの話は、ユダヤ全土およびその附近のいたる所にひろまった。

（ルカによる福音 7:11-17）
若者よ、起きなさい(ﾙｶ7.14)
イエスが来られたのは、すべての人を「起こすため、覚醒させるため」でした。
それは闇から光へ、恐れから平安へ、罪から赦しへ、悲しみから喜びへ、憎しみから愛へ、敗北から勝利へ、捕らわれの身から解放へ、そして何よりも死から新しい命へ移行させるためでした。
これらすべてのことは、イエスの復活によって全くその通りに実現したのです。
ですからイエスは言われました。
「もうおびえることはありません。恐れることはありません」と。
誰にでも信仰が揺らぐ時があります。愛が低下する時があります。信仰生活に意欲を感じない時があります。
そのような私達に「元気を出しなさい。起きなさい」とイエスは声をかけてくださるのです。
うなだれている頭を上に向け、自分に向けられている目をイエスに向けるよう呼びかけてくださるのです。
イエスの元にこそ希望があり、あふれる生命力があるのです。

若者よ、起きなさい(ﾙｶ7.14)
イエスが来られたのは、すべての人を「起こすため、覚醒させるため」でした。
それは闇から光へ、恐れから平安へ、罪から赦しへ、悲しみから喜びへ、憎しみから愛へ、敗北から勝利へ、捕らわれの身から解放へ、そして何よりも死から新しい命へ移行させるためでした。
これらすべてのことは、イエスの復活によって全くその通りに実現したのです。
ですからイエスは言われました。
「もうおびえることはありません。恐れることはありません」と。
誰にでも信仰が揺らぐ時があります。愛が低下する時があります。信仰生活に意欲を感じない時があります。
そのような私達に「元気を出しなさい。起きなさい」とイエスは声をかけてくださるのです。
うなだれている頭を上に向け、自分に向けられている目をイエスに向けるよう呼びかけてくださるのです。
イエスの元にこそ希望があり、あふれる生命力があるのです。

（テモテヘの第一の手紙 3:1-13）
3:1
「もし人が監督の職を望むなら、それは良い仕事を願うことである」とは正しい言葉である。
3:2
さて、監督は、非難のない人で、ひとりの妻の夫であり、自らを制し、慎み深く、礼儀正しく、旅人をもてなし、よく教えることができ、
3:3
酒を好まず、乱暴でなく、寛容であって、人と争わず、金に淡泊で、
3:4
自分の家をよく治め、謹厳であって、子供たちを従順な者に育てている人でなければならない。
3:5
自分の家を治めることも心得ていない人が、どうして神の教会を預かることができようか。
3:6
彼はまた、信者になって間もないものであってはならない。そうであると、高慢になって、悪魔と同じ審判を受けるかも知れない。
3:7
さらにまた、教会外の人々にもよく思われている人でなければならない。そうでないと、そしりを受け、悪魔のわなにかかるであろう。
3:8
それと同様に、執事も謹厳であって、二枚舌を使わず、大酒を飲まず、利をむさぼらず、
3:9
きよい良心をもって、信仰の奥義を保っていなければならない。
3:10
彼らはまず調べられて、不都合なことがなかったなら、それから執事の職につかすべきである。
3:11
女たちも、同様に謹厳で、他人をそしらず、自らを制し、すべてのことに忠実でなければならない。
3:12
執事はひとりの妻の夫であって、子供と自分の家とをよく治める者でなければならない。
3:13
執事の職をよくつとめた者は、良い地位を得、さらにキリスト・イエスを信じる信仰による、大いなる確信を得るであろう。

Gospel : Luke 7:11-17
11 Soon afterwards, he went to a city called Nain. Many of his disciples, along with a great multitude, went with him.
12 Now when he came near to the gate of the city, behold, one who was dead was carried out, the only born son of his mother, and she was a widow. Many people of the city were with her.
13 When the Lord saw her, he had compassion on her and said to her, “Don’t cry.”
14 He came near and touched the coffin, and the bearers stood still. He said, “Young man, I tell you, arise!”
15 He who was dead sat up and began to speak. Then he gave him to his mother.
16 Fear took hold of all, and they glorified God, saying, “A great prophet has arisen among us!” and, “God has visited his people!”
17 This report went out concerning him in the whole of Judea and in all the surrounding region.

1 Timothy 3:1-13
1 This is a faithful saying: someone who seeks to be an overseer desires a good work.
2 The overseer therefore must be without reproach, the husband of one wife, temperate, sensible, modest, hospitable, good at teaching;
3 not a drinker, not violent, not greedy for money, but gentle, not quarrelsome, not covetous;
4 one who rules his own house well, having children in subjection with all reverence;
5 (for how could someone who doesn’t know how to rule his own house take care of God’s assembly?)
6 not a new convert, lest being puffed up he fall into the same condemnation as the devil.
7 Moreover he must have good testimony from those who are outside, to avoid falling into reproach and the snare of the devil.
8 Servants, in the same way, must be reverent, not double-tongued, not addicted to much wine, not greedy for money,
9 holding the mystery of the faith in a pure conscience.
10 Let them also first be tested; then let them serve if they are blameless.
11 Their wives in the same way must be reverent, not slanderers, temperate, and faithful in all things.
12 Let servants† be husbands of one wife, ruling their children and their own houses well.
13 For those who have served well gain for themselves a good standing and great boldness in the faith which is in Christ Jesus.
