＜今日の聖書物語 *＞
（ルカによる福音 8:1-3）
そののちイエスは、神の国の福音を説きまた伝えながら、町々村々を巡回し続けられたが、十二弟子もお供をした。
また悪霊を追い出され病気をいやされた数名の婦人たち、すなわち、七つの悪霊を追い出してもらったマグダラと呼ばれるマリヤ、
ヘロデの家令クーザの妻ヨハンナ、スザンナ、そのほか多くの婦人たちも一緒にいて、自分たちの持ち物をもって一行に奉仕した。

＜今日の『み言葉』＞
み言葉について
（ルカによる福音 8:1-3）
今日の福音では、神の国を宣べ伝えてまわるイエスの姿があります。
十二人の弟子たちや多くの婦人たちも一緒でした。
一緒にいることによって、イエスの語られる言葉を耳にすることも多くなり、イエスのなさる業を目にする機会も多くあったことでしょう。
一緒にいる、共にいることによって得られる喜びがそこにあると言えます。
今、ここにある恵みに気づくことはとても大切だと思います。
気づかないことによって、他の場所にその恵みを探し出そうとしてしまうかもしれません。
福音書の中で、「自分の持ち物を出し合って、一行に奉仕していた」姿が記されていますが、それは神の国のメッセージが彼らに届いていたことの表れと言えましょう。

（テモテヘの第一の手紙 6:2c-12）
その益を受ける主人は、信者であり愛されている人だからである。
あなたは、これらの事を教えかつ勧めなさい。
もし違ったことを教えて、わたしたちの主イエス・キリストの健全な言葉、ならびに信心にかなう教に同意しないような者があれば、
彼は高慢であって、何も知らず、ただ論議と言葉の争いとに病みついている者である。そこから、ねたみ、争い、そしり、さいぎの心が生じ、
また知性が腐って、真理にそむき、信心を利得と心得る者どもの間に、はてしのないいがみ合いが起るのである。
しかし、信心があって足ることを知るのは、大きな利得である。
わたしたちは、何ひとつ持たないでこの世にきた。また、何ひとつ持たないでこの世を去って行く。
ただ衣食があれば、それで足れりとすべきである。
富むことを願い求める者は、誘惑と、わなとに陥り、また、人を滅びと破壊とに沈ませる、無分別な恐ろしいさまざまの情欲に陥るのである。
金銭を愛することは、すべての悪の根である。ある人々は欲ばって金銭を求めたため、信仰から迷い出て、多くの苦痛をもって自分自身を刺しとおした。
しかし、神の人よ。あなたはこれらの事を避けなさい。そして、義と信心と信仰と愛と忍耐と柔和とを追い求めなさい。
信仰の戦いをりっぱに戦いぬいて、永遠のいのちを獲得しなさい。あなたは、そのために召され、多くの証人の前で、りっぱなあかしをしたのである。

Friday of the Twenty-fourth Week in Ordinary Time

Gospel : Luke 8:1-3
1 Soon afterwards, he went about through cities and villages, preaching and bringing the good news of God’s Kingdom. With him were the twelve,
2 and certain women who had been healed of evil spirits and infirmities: Mary who was called Magdalene, from whom seven demons had gone out;
3 and Joanna, the wife of Chuzas, Herod’s steward; Susanna; and many others who served them from their possessions.

1 Timothy 6:2c-12
2c but rather let them serve them, because those who partake of the benefit are believing and beloved. Teach and exhort these things.
3 If anyone teaches a different doctrine and doesn’t consent to sound words, the words of our Lord Jesus Christ, and to the doctrine which is according to godliness,
4 he is conceited, knowing nothing, but obsessed with arguments, disputes, and word battles, from which come envy, strife, insulting, evil suspicions,
5 constant friction of people of corrupt minds and destitute of the truth, who suppose that godliness is a means of gain. Withdraw yourself from such.
6 But godliness with contentment is great gain.
7 For we brought nothing into the world, and we certainly can’t carry anything out.
8 But having food and clothing, we will be content with that.
9 But those who are determined to be rich fall into a temptation, a snare, and many foolish and harmful lusts, such as drown men in ruin and destruction.
10 For the love of money is a root of all kinds of evil. Some have been led astray from the faith in their greed, and have pierced themselves through with many sorrows.
11 But you, man of God, flee these things, and follow after righteousness, godliness, faith, love, perseverance, and gentleness.
12 Fight the good fight of faith. Take hold of the eternal life to which you were called, and you confessed the good confession in the sight of many witnesses.
