さて、イエスの母と兄弟たちとがイエスのところにきたが、群衆のためそば近くに行くことができなかった。
それで、だれかが「あなたの母上と兄弟がたが、お目にかかろうと思って、外に立っておられます」と取次いだ。
するとイエスは人々にむかって言われた、「神の御言を聞いて行う者こそ、わたしの母、わたしの兄弟なのである」。

み言葉について
（ルカによる福音 8:19-21）
「母上と御兄弟たちが、お会いしたいと外に立っておられます」（ルカ8:20）
弟子たちや大勢の人がイエス様の周りにいるのに、母親や親戚が「外」にいます。
これはイエスさまと弟子との象徴的な姿を示しています。
新しい教会の弟子は血筋によるものでも、ユダヤ教の司祭職のように家柄によるものでもないのです。
イエス様は、マリア様のようにご自分を生んだお方にさえ、公平な扱いをなさいます。
もしかすると、マリア様は、「お会いしたいと外に立っておられます」と伝えてくれる人いたので、すぐに息子であるイエスにお会いできるというお気持ちを抱かれたかもしれません。
しかし、イエス様は、「わたしの母、わたしの兄弟とは、神の言葉を聞いて行う人たちのことである」と突き放した言い方をなさいます。
マリア様は、はっとなさったに違いありません。
聖母はこのとき、わが子イエスは単なるご自分の息子ではない、そしてご自分も単なる母ではないと、覚悟をなさったのではないでしょうか。
「お言葉どおり、この身に成りますように」（ルカ1：38）。
イエス様の弟子になるには、信仰によってのみ可能なのです。
これは新しい唯一のキリストとの絆です。
み言葉を聴いてそれを実行する人こそが、イエス様と親密な関係を築くことになるのです。

神のこの宮の工事を彼らに任せ、ユダヤ人の知事とユダヤ人の長老たちに、神のこの宮をもとの所に建てさせよ。
6:8
わたしはまた命を下し、神のこの宮を建てることについて、あなたがたがこれらのユダヤ人の長老たちになすべき事を示す。王の財産、すなわち川向こうの州から納めるみつぎの中から、その費用をじゅうぶんそれらの人々に与えて、その工事を滞らないようにせよ。
6:12b
われダリヨスは命を下す。心してこれを行え」。
6:14
そしてユダヤ人の長老たちは、預言者ハガイおよびイドの子ゼカリヤの預言によって建て、これをなし遂げた。彼らはイスラエルの神の命令により、またクロス、ダリヨスおよびペルシャ王アルタシャスタの命によって、これを建て終った。
6:15
この宮はダリヨス王の治世の六年アダルの月の三日に完成した。
6:16
そこでイスラエルの人々、祭司たち、レビびとおよびその他の捕囚から帰った人々は、喜んで神のこの宮の奉献式を行った。
6:17
すなわち神のこの宮の奉献式において、雄牛一百頭、雄羊二百頭、小羊四百頭をささげ、またイスラエルの部族の数にしたがって、雄やぎ十二頭をささげて、すべてのイスラエルびとのための罪祭とした。
6:18
またモーセの書にしるされてあるように祭司を組別により、レビびとを班別によって立て、エルサレムで神に仕えさせた。
6:19
こうして捕囚から帰って来た人々は、正月の十四日に過越の祭を行った。
6:20
すなわち祭司、レビびとたちは共に身を清めて皆清くなり、すべて捕囚から帰って来た人々のため、その兄弟である祭司たちのため、また彼ら自身のために過越の小羊をほふった。

Gospel : Luke 8:19-21
19 His mother and brothers came to him, and they could not come near him for the crowd.
20 Some people told him, “Your mother and your brothers stand outside, desiring to see you.”
21 But he answered them, “My mother and my brothers are these who hear the word of God and do it.”

Ezra 6:7-8, 12b, 14-20
7 Leave the work of this house of God alone; let the governor of the Jews and the elders of the Jews build this house of God in its place.
8 Moreover I make a decree regarding what you shall do for these elders of the Jews for the building of this house of God: that of the king’s goods, even of the tribute beyond the River, expenses must be given with all diligence to these men, that they not be hindered.
12b I Darius have made a decree. Let it be done with all diligence.
14 The elders of the Jews built and prospered, through the prophesying of Haggai the prophet and Zechariah the son of Iddo. They built and finished it, according to the commandment of the God of Israel, and according to the decree of Cyrus, Darius, and Artaxerxes king of Persia.
15 This house was finished on the third day of the month Adar, which was in the sixth year of the reign of Darius the king.
16 The children of Israel, the priests, the Levites, and the rest of the children of the captivity, kept the dedication of this house of God with joy.
17 They offered at the dedication of this house of God one hundred bulls, two hundred rams, four hundred lambs; and for a sin offering for all Israel, twelve male goats, according to the number of the tribes of Israel.
18 They set the priests in their divisions and the Levites in their courses, for the service of God which is at Jerusalem, as it is written in the book of Moses.
19 The children of the captivity kept the Passover on the fourteenth day of the first month.
20 Because the priests and the Levites had purified themselves together, all of them were pure. They killed the Passover for all the children of the captivity, for their brothers the priests, and for themselves.
