＜今日の聖書物語 *＞
（ヨハネによる福音 1:35-42）
その翌日、ヨハネはまたふたりの弟子たちと一緒に立っていたが、
イエスが歩いておられるのに目をとめて言った、「見よ、神の小羊」。
そのふたりの弟子は、ヨハネがそう言うのを聞いて、イエスについて行った。
イエスはふり向き、彼らがついてくるのを見て言われた、「何か願いがあるのか」。彼らは言った、「ラビ（訳して言えば、先生）どこにおとまりなのですか」。
イエスは彼らに言われた、「きてごらんなさい。そうしたらわかるだろう」。そこで彼らはついて行って、イエスの泊まっておられる所を見た。そして、その日はイエスのところに泊まった。時は午後四時ごろであった。
ヨハネから聞いて、イエスについて行ったふたりのうちのひとりは、シモン・ペテロの兄弟アンデレであった。
彼はまず自分の兄弟シモンに出会って言った、「わたしたちはメシヤ（訳せば、キリスト）にいま出会った」。
そしてシモンをイエスのもとにつれてきた。イエスは彼に目をとめて言われた、「あなたはヨハネの子シモンである。あなたをケパ（訳せば、ペテロ）と呼ぶことにする」。

＜今日の『み言葉』＞
み言葉について
（ヨハネによる福音 1:35-42）
新年になって初めて福音朗読のなかでイエス様が口を開かれます。
「何をさがしているのか」「来なさい」「ケファと呼ぶことにする」どれも深みのある言葉ですね。
１日からの３日間、イエス様は一言もしゃべりませんでしたが、それは私たちがイエス様の言葉によく耳を傾けるようにとの準備だったのかもしれません。
「何をさがしているのか。」私たちは何をさがしているのでしょうね？
もしかしたら、何をさがしているのかをさがすところからスタートしないといけないかもしれません。
少し時間をとって再確認しておきたいです。
イエスのうちに何をさがしているのかを明確にしておくかそうでないかでずいぶんと違った一年になりそうです。

3:8
罪を犯す者は、悪魔から出た者である。悪魔は初めから罪を犯しているからである。神の子が現れたのは、悪魔のわざを滅ぼしてしまうためである。
3:9
すべて神から生れた者は、罪を犯さない。神の種が、その人のうちにとどまっているからである。また、その人は、神から生れた者であるから、罪を犯すことができない。
3:10
神の子と悪魔の子との区別は、これによって明らかである。すなわち、すべて義を行わない者は、神から出た者ではない。兄弟を愛さない者も、同様である。

Gospel : John 1:35-42
35 Again, the next day, John was standing with two of his disciples,
36 and he looked at Jesus as he walked, and said, “Behold, the Lamb of God!”
37 The two disciples heard him speak, and they followed Jesus.
38 Jesus turned and saw them following, and said to them, “What are you looking for?”
They said to him, “Rabbi” (which is to say, being interpreted, Teacher), “where are you staying?”
39 He said to them, “Come and see.”
They came and saw where he was staying, and they stayed with him that day. It was about the tenth hour.
40 One of the two who heard John and followed him was Andrew, Simon Peter’s brother.
41 He first found his own brother, Simon, and said to him, “We have found the Messiah!” (which is, being interpreted, Christ).
42 He brought him to Jesus. Jesus looked at him and said, “You are Simon the son of Jonah. You shall be called Cephas” (which is by interpretation, Peter).

1 John 3:7-10
7 Little children, let no one lead you astray. He who does righteousness is righteous, even as he is righteous.
8 He who sins is of the devil, for the devil has been sinning from the beginning. To this end the Son of God was revealed: that he might destroy the works of the devil.
9 Whoever is born of God doesn’t commit sin, because his seed remains in him, and he can’t sin, because he is born of God.
10 In this the children of God are revealed, and the children of the devil. Whoever doesn’t do righteousness is not of God, neither is he who doesn’t love his brother.
