＜今日の聖書物語 *＞
（マルコによる福音 5:21-43）
イエスがまた舟で向こう岸へ渡られると、大ぜいの群衆がみもとに集まってきた。イエスは海べにおられた。
そこへ、会堂司のひとりであるヤイロという者がきて、イエスを見かけるとその足もとにひれ伏し、
しきりに願って言った、「わたしの幼い娘が死にかかっています。どうぞ、その子がなおって助かりますように、おいでになって、手をおいてやってください」。
そこで、イエスは彼と一緒に出かけられた。大ぜいの群衆もイエスに押し迫りながら、ついて行った。
さてここに、十二年間も長血をわずらっている女がいた。
多くの医者にかかって、さんざん苦しめられ、その持ち物をみな費してしまったが、なんのかいもないばかりか、かえってますます悪くなる一方であった。
この女がイエスのことを聞いて、群衆の中にまぎれ込み、うしろから、み衣にさわった。
それは、せめて、み衣にでもさわれば、なおしていただけるだろうと、思っていたからである。
すると、血の元がすぐにかわき、女は病気がなおったことを、その身に感じた。
イエスはすぐ、自分の内から力が出て行ったことに気づかれて、群衆の中で振り向き、「わたしの着物にさわったのはだれか」と言われた。
そこで弟子たちが言った、「ごらんのとおり、群衆があなたに押し迫っていますのに、だれがさわったかと、おっしゃるのですか」。
しかし、イエスはさわった者を見つけようとして、見まわしておられた。
その女は自分の身に起ったことを知って、恐れおののきながら進み出て、みまえにひれ伏して、すべてありのままを申し上げた。
イエスはその女に言われた、「娘よ、あなたの信仰があなたを救ったのです。安心して行きなさい。すっかりなおって、達者でいなさい」。
イエスが、まだ話しておられるうちに、会堂司の家から人々がきて言った、「あなたの娘はなくなりました。このうえ、先生を煩わすには及びますまい」。
イエスはその話している言葉を聞き流して、会堂司に言われた、「恐れることはない。ただ信じなさい」。
そしてペテロ、ヤコブ、ヤコブの兄弟ヨハネのほかは、ついて来ることを、だれにもお許しにならなかった。
彼らが会堂司の家に着くと、イエスは人々が大声で泣いたり、叫んだりして、騒いでいるのをごらんになり、
内にはいって、彼らに言われた、「なぜ泣き騒いでいるのか。子供は死んだのではない。眠っているだけである」。
人々はイエスをあざ笑った。しかし、イエスはみんなの者を外に出し、子供の父母と供の者たちだけを連れて、子供のいる所にはいって行かれた。
そして子供の手を取って、「タリタ、クミ」と言われた。それは、「少女よ、さあ、起きなさい」という意味である。
すると、少女はすぐに起き上がって、歩き出した。十二歳にもなっていたからである。彼らはたちまち非常な驚きに打たれた。
イエスは、だれにもこの事を知らすなと、きびしく彼らに命じ、また、少女に食物を与えるようにと言われた。

（知恵の書 1:13-15, 2:23-24）☆
01章 13節
神が死を造られたのではなく 神は命あるものの滅びを喜ばれない。
01章 14節
神は万物を存在させるために お造りになったのであり 世にある造られたものは 救いをもたらすためのものである。それらの内には滅びをもたらす毒はなく 陰府の支配は地上には及ばない。
01章 15節
義は不死である。
02章 23節
神は人間を不滅の者として創造し ご自分の永遠性の似姿として造られた。
02章 24節
死は悪魔の妬みによってこの世に入ったのであり 悪魔の仲間となった者は死を味わう。

あなたがたは、わたしたちの主イエス・キリストの恵みを知っている。すなわち、主は富んでおられたのに、あなたがたのために貧しくなられた。それは、あなたがたが、彼の貧しさによって富む者になるためである。
8:13
それは、ほかの人々に楽をさせて、あなたがたに苦労をさせようとするのではなく、持ち物を等しくするためである。
8:14
すなわち、今の場合は、あなたがたの余裕があの人たちの欠乏を補い、後には、彼らの余裕があなたがたの欠乏を補い、こうして等しくなるようにするのである。
8:15
それは「多く得た者も余ることがなく、少ししか得なかった者も足りないことはなかった」と書いてあるとおりである。

Gospel : Mark 5:21-43
21 When Jesus had crossed back over in the boat to the other side, a great multitude was gathered to him; and he was by the sea.
22 Behold, one of the rulers of the synagogue, Jairus by name, came; and seeing him, he fell at his feet
23 and begged him much, saying, “My little daughter is at the point of death. Please come and lay your hands on her, that she may be made healthy, and live.”
24 He went with him, and a great multitude followed him, and they pressed upon him on all sides.
25 A certain woman who had a discharge of blood for twelve years,
26 and had suffered many things by many physicians, and had spent all that she had, and was no better, but rather grew worse,
27 having heard the things concerning Jesus, came up behind him in the crowd and touched his clothes.
28 For she said, “If I just touch his clothes, I will be made well.”
29 Immediately the flow of her blood was dried up, and she felt in her body that she was healed of her affliction.
30 Immediately Jesus, perceiving in himself that the power had gone out from him, turned around in the crowd and asked, “Who touched my clothes?”
31 His disciples said to him, “You see the multitude pressing against you, and you say, ‘Who touched me?’ ”
32 He looked around to see her who had done this thing.
33 But the woman, fearing and trembling, knowing what had been done to her, came and fell down before him, and told him all the truth.
34 He said to her, “Daughter, your faith has made you well. Go in peace, and be cured of your disease.”
35 While he was still speaking, people came from the synagogue ruler’s house, saying, “Your daughter is dead. Why bother the Teacher any more?”
36 But Jesus, when he heard the message spoken, immediately said to the ruler of the synagogue, “Don’t be afraid, only believe.”
37 He allowed no one to follow him except Peter, James, and John the brother of James.
38 He came to the synagogue ruler’s house, and he saw an uproar, weeping, and great wailing.
39 When he had entered in, he said to them, “Why do you make an uproar and weep? The child is not dead, but is asleep.”
40 They ridiculed him. But he, having put them all out, took the father of the child, her mother, and those who were with him, and went in where the child was lying.
41 Taking the child by the hand, he said to her, “Talitha cumi!” which means, being interpreted, “Girl, I tell you, get up!”
42 Immediately the girl rose up and walked, for she was twelve years old. They were amazed with great amazement.
43 He strictly ordered them that no one should know this, and commanded that something should be given to her to eat.

The Wisdom of Solomon 1:13-15; 2:23-24
1:13 because God didn’t make death,
neither does he delight when the living perish.
14 For he created all things that they might have being.
The generative powers of the world are wholesome,
and there is no poison of destruction in them,
nor has Hades royal dominion upon earth;
15 for righteousness is immortal,
2:23 Because God created man for incorruption,
and made him an image of his own everlastingness;
24 but death entered into the world by the envy of the devil,
and those who belong to him experience it.

7 As for all the people who were left of the Hittites, the Amorites, the Perizzites, the Hivites, and the Jebusites, who were not of Israel--
9 But of the children of Israel, Solomon made no servants for his work, but they were men of war, chief of his captains, and rulers of his chariots and of his horsemen.
13 even as the duty of every day required, offering according to the commandment of Moses on the Sabbaths, on the new moons, and on the set feasts, three times per year, during the feast of unleavened bread, during the feast of weeks, and during the feast of booths.
14 He appointed, according to the ordinance of David his father, the divisions of the priests to their service, and the Levites to their offices, to praise and to minister before the priests, as the duty of every day required, the doorkeepers also by their divisions at every gate, for David the man of God had so commanded.
15 They didn’t depart from the commandment of the king to the priests and Levites concerning any matter or concerning the treasures.

（マタイによる福音 16:13-19）
イエスがピリポ・カイザリヤの地方に行かれたとき、弟子たちに尋ねて言われた、「人々は人の子をだれと言っているか」。
彼らは言った、「ある人々はバプテスマのヨハネだと言っています。しかし、ほかの人たちは、エリヤだと言い、また、エレミヤあるいは預言者のひとりだ、と言っている者もあります」。
そこでイエスは彼らに言われた、「それでは、あなたがたはわたしをだれと言うか」。
シモン・ペテロが答えて言った、「あなたこそ、生ける神の子キリストです」。
すると、イエスは彼にむかって言われた、「バルヨナ・シモン、あなたはさいわいである。あなたにこの事をあらわしたのは、血肉ではなく、天にいますわたしの父である。
そこで、わたしもあなたに言う。あなたはペテロである。そして、わたしはこの岩の上にわたしの教会を建てよう。黄泉の力もそれに打ち勝つことはない。
わたしは、あなたに天国のかぎを授けよう。そして、あなたが地上でつなぐことは、天でもつながれ、あなたが地上で解くことは天でも解かれるであろう」。

み言葉について
（マタイによる福音 16:13-19）
ペトロとパウロ。使徒たちの中でも特に偉大な使徒としてお祝いされる二人。
彼らの偉大さはどこにあるのでしょう。
ペトロは、衝動的性格が特徴的で、イエス様からは時に褒められたり、時に叱責を受けたり、そばにいたかと思うと逃げたり、嘘をついたりとお調子者の弱い人でした。
パウロは、学歴のある熱心なユダヤ教徒であり、キリスト教徒を激しく迫害するもので、「罪人の中の罪人」でした。
彼らは使徒としては正直ふさわしくはないと思われても仕方がない者たちでした。
でも彼らはそんな自分たちの弱さや過ちに気付き、深く受け止め、よく自覚していたわけです。
これが彼らの聖性の源だったのです。
自分の弱さ、罪深さを知り、気付き、認め、受け入れることによって彼らの霊性は磨かれていき、教会をリードする偉大な使徒に成長したわけです。
そして最後には自分の命を捧げてまでも証しに努めたのです。
ここに彼らの偉大さがあり、「私は弱い時にこそ強いのである。」というパウロ自身の言葉に納得するわけです。
わたしたちも現代に生きるキリストの弟子・使徒。
優れた人間だからではありません。いろんな弱さがあります。相変わらず罪を犯します。
時にそんな自分に寂しさを覚えます。いいのです。自分の弱さを素直に認め受け入れましょう。
目をそらさず自覚し、赦しを願いましょう。それによって、こんな弱い自分を愛してくださる神様の愛の大きさにより気付いていけるのです。
そしてその愛に促されて私たちの霊性は磨かれていくのです。
使徒として成長していけるのです。
逆に私たちは、自分が弱い人間であること、罪びとであることから目をそらし、忘れる時、自分の聖性、霊性が失われていくのでしょう。
聖ペトロと聖パウロの偉大さを称え、彼らの取り次ぎによって私たちも使徒として強められるように祈りましょう。

そのころ、ヘロデ王は教会のある者たちに圧迫の手をのばし、

ヨハネの兄弟ヤコブをつるぎで切り殺した。
12:3
そして、それがユダヤ人たちの意にかなったのを見て、さらにペテロをも捕えにかかった。それは除酵祭の時のことであった。
12:4
ヘロデはペテロを捕えて獄に投じ、四人一組の兵卒四組に引き渡して、見張りをさせておいた。過越の祭のあとで、彼を民衆の前に引き出すつもりであったのである。
12:5
こうして、ペテロは獄に入れられていた。教会では、彼のために熱心な祈が神にささげられた。
12:6
ヘロデが彼を引き出そうとしていたその夜、ペテロは二重の鎖につながれ、ふたりの兵卒の間に置かれて眠っていた。番兵たちは戸口で獄を見張っていた。
12:7
すると、突然、主の使がそばに立ち、光が獄内を照した。そして御使はペテロのわき腹をつついて起し、「早く起きあがりなさい」と言った。すると鎖が彼の両手から、はずれ落ちた。
12:8
御使が「帯をしめ、くつをはきなさい」と言ったので、彼はそのとおりにした。それから「上着を着て、ついてきなさい」と言われたので、

ペテロはついて出て行った。彼には御使のしわざが現実のこととは考えられず、ただ幻を見ているように思われた。
12:10
彼らは第一、第二の衛所を通りすぎて、町に抜ける鉄門のところに来ると、それがひとりでに開いたので、そこを出て一つの通路に進んだとたんに、御使は彼を離れ去った。
12:11
その時ペテロはわれにかえって言った、「今はじめて、ほんとうのことがわかった。主が御使をつかわして、ヘロデの手から、またユダヤ人たちの待ちもうけていたあらゆる災から、わたしを救い出して下さったのだ」。

今や、義の冠がわたしを待っているばかりである。かの日には、公平な審判者である主が、それを授けて下さるであろう。わたしばかりではなく、主の出現を心から待ち望んでいたすべての人にも授けて下さるであろう。

しかし、わたしが御言を余すところなく宣べ伝えて、すべての異邦人に聞かせるように、主はわたしを助け、力づけて下さった。そして、わたしは、ししの口から救い出されたのである。

主はわたしを、すべての悪のわざから助け出し、天にある御国に救い入れて下さるであろう。栄光が永遠から永遠にわたって主にあるように、アァメン。

13 Now when Jesus came into the parts of Caesarea Philippi, he asked his disciples, saying, “Who do men say that I, the Son of Man, am?”
14 They said, “Some say John the Baptizer, some, Elijah, and others, Jeremiah or one of the prophets.”
15 He said to them, “But who do you say that I am?”
16 Simon Peter answered, “You are the Christ, the Son of the living God.”
17 Jesus answered him, “Blessed are you, Simon Bar Jonah, for flesh and blood has not revealed this to you, but my Father who is in heaven.
18 I also tell you that you are Peter, and on this rock I will build my assembly, and the gates of Hades will not prevail against it.
19 I will give to you the keys of the Kingdom of Heaven, and whatever you bind on earth will have been bound in heaven; and whatever you release on earth will have been released in heaven.”

1 Now about that time, King Herod stretched out his hands to oppress some of the assembly.
2 He killed James, the brother of John, with the sword.
3 When he saw that it pleased the Jews, he proceeded to seize Peter also. This was during the days of unleavened bread.
4 When he had arrested him, he put him in prison and delivered him to four squads of four soldiers each to guard him, intending to bring him out to the people after the Passover.
5 Peter therefore was kept in the prison, but constant prayer was made by the assembly to God for him.
6 The same night when Herod was about to bring him out, Peter was sleeping between two soldiers, bound with two chains. Guards in front of the door kept the prison.
7 And behold, an angel of the Lord stood by him, and a light shone in the cell. He struck Peter on the side and woke him up, saying, “Stand up quickly!” His chains fell off his hands.
8 The angel said to him, “Get dressed and put on your sandals.” He did so. He said to him, “Put on your cloak and follow me.”
9 And he went out and followed him. He didn’t know that what was being done by the angel was real, but thought he saw a vision.
10 When they were past the first and the second guard, they came to the iron gate that leads into the city, which opened to them by itself. They went out and went down one street, and immediately the angel departed from him.
11 When Peter had come to himself, he said, “Now I truly know that the Lord has sent out his angel and delivered me out of the hand of Herod, and from everything the Jewish people were expecting.”

2 Timothy 4:6-8, 17-18
6 For I am already being offered, and the time of my departure has come.
7 I have fought the good fight. I have finished the course. I have kept the faith.
8 From now on, the crown of righteousness is stored up for me, which the Lord, the righteous judge, will give to me on that day; and not to me only, but also to all those who have loved his appearing.
17 But the Lord stood by me and strengthened me, that through me the message might be fully proclaimed, and that all the Gentiles might hear. So I was delivered out of the mouth of the lion.
18 And the Lord will deliver me from every evil work and will preserve me for his heavenly Kingdom. To him be the glory forever and ever. Amen.

17 But the Lord stood by me and strengthened me, that through me the message might be fully proclaimed, and that all the Gentiles might hear. So I was delivered out of the mouth of the lion.

イエスが山をお降りになると、おびただしい群衆がついてきた。
すると、そのとき、ひとりのらい病人がイエスのところにきて、ひれ伏して言った、「主よ、みこころでしたら、きよめていただけるのですが」。
イエスは手を伸ばして、彼にさわり、「そうしてあげよう、きよくなれ」と言われた。すると、らい病は直ちにきよめられた。
イエスは彼に言われた、「だれにも話さないように、注意しなさい。ただ行って、自分のからだを祭司に見せ、それから、モーセが命じた供え物をささげて、人々に証明しなさい」。

み言葉について

人々も宗教家も社会からも除外されて孤独感をしみじみ味わっています。
誰も彼を助ける事ができませんでした。
本人はイエスに全幅の信頼をおきます。
イエスに近寄って、へりくだって、イエスの前にひれ伏して、イエスがどなたかを認め − 主を − 信頼してみ心ならばおできになりますと慎んでいやして下さるよう願い求めたのです。
結局、彼は声だけでなく、その存在の全てを主に明け渡すように整えられていたのです。
イエスは分け隔てのない全ての人への神の愛、特に最も小さくされた人、罪人、見捨てられた人を拾って上げられるのです。

私たちの生き方そのものが、私たちの語る言葉と同じように福音を力強く伝える事です。
私たちの生き方は神のみ旨と私たちの信仰を反映するものでなければなりません。

そこでゼデキヤの治世の第九年の十月十日に、バビロンの王ネブカデネザルはもろもろの軍勢を率い、エルサレムにきて、これにむかって陣を張り、周囲にとりでを築いてこれを攻めた。

こうして町は囲まれて、ゼデキヤ王の第十一年にまで及んだが、

その四月九日になって、町のうちにききんが激しくなり、その地の民に食物がなくなった。

町の一角がついに破れたので、王はすべての兵士とともに、王の園のかたわらにある二つの城壁のあいだの門の道から夜のうちに逃げ出して、カルデヤびとが町を囲んでいる間に、アラバの方へ落ち延びた。

しかしカルデヤびとの軍勢は王を追い、エリコの平地で彼に追いついた。彼の軍勢はみな彼を離れて散り去ったので、

カルデヤびとは王を捕え、彼をリブラにいるバビロンの王のもとへ引いていって彼の罪を定め、

ゼデキヤの子たちをゼデキヤの目の前で殺し、ゼデキヤの目をえぐり、足かせをかけてバビロンへ連れて行った。

バビロンの王ネブカデネザルの第十九年の五月七日に、バビロンの王の臣、侍衛の長ネブザラダンがエルサレムにきて、

主の宮と王の家とエルサレムのすべての家を焼いた。すなわち火をもってすべての大きな家を焼いた。

また侍衛の長と共にいたカルデヤびとのすべての軍勢はエルサレムの周囲の城壁を破壊した。

1 When he came down from the mountain, great multitudes followed him.
2 Behold, a leper came to him and worshiped him, saying, “Lord, if you want to, you can make me clean.”
3 Jesus stretched out his hand and touched him, saying, “I want to. Be made clean.” Immediately his leprosy was cleansed.
4 Jesus said to him, “See that you tell nobody; but go, show yourself to the priest, and offer the gift that Moses commanded, as a testimony to them.”

2 Kings 25:1-12
1 In the ninth year of his reign, in the tenth month, in the tenth day of the month, Nebuchadnezzar king of Babylon came, he and all his army, against Jerusalem, and encamped against it; and they built forts against it around it.
2 So the city was besieged until the eleventh year of King Zedekiah.
3 On the ninth day of the fourth month, the famine was severe in the city, so that there was no bread for the people of the land.
4 Then a breach was made in the city, and all the men of war fled by night by the way of the gate between the two walls, which was by the king’s garden (now the Chaldeans were against the city around it); and the king went by the way of the Arabah.
5 But the Chaldean army pursued the king, and overtook him in the plains of Jericho; and all his army was scattered from him.
6 Then they captured the king and carried him up to the king of Babylon to Riblah; and they passed judgment on him.
7 They killed Zedekiah’s sons before his eyes, then put out Zedekiah’s eyes, bound him in fetters, and carried him to Babylon.
8 Now in the fifth month, on the seventh day of the month, which was the nineteenth year of King Nebuchadnezzar king of Babylon, Nebuzaradan the captain of the guard, a servant of the king of Babylon, came to Jerusalem.
9 He burned Yahweh’s house, the king’s house, and all the houses of Jerusalem. He burned every great house with fire.
10 All the army of the Chaldeans, who were with the captain of the guard, broke down the walls around Jerusalem.
11 Nebuzaradan the captain of the guard carried away captive the rest of the people who were left in the city and those who had deserted to the king of Babylon--all the rest of the multitude.
12 But the captain of the guard left some of the poorest of the land to work the vineyards and fields.

イエスの言葉に触れた者には、２つの道がある。
それを受け入れるか、それとも受け入れないか。
多くの場合、すばらしい教えだと思いつつも心の中にとどまらず、私たちを変えることがない。
イエスの言葉を受け入れるとは、確かに硬くて抵抗もあるかもしれないが、しっかりした岩盤に自分の基礎として、イエスの言葉を打ち込むことなのかもしれない。
鉄の杭でも、打ち込む場所が固ければ何度も何度も金づちで打ち込む。
イエスの言葉の杭も、一回だけではなく何度も何度も、私の心の基礎に打ち込むべきであろう。

み言葉について
（マタイによる福音 7:21-29）
イエスの言葉に触れた者には、２つの道がある。
それを受け入れるか、それとも受け入れないか。
多くの場合、すばらしい教えだと思いつつも心の中にとどまらず、私たちを変えることがない。
イエスの言葉を受け入れるとは、確かに硬くて抵抗もあるかもしれないが、しっかりした岩盤に自分の基礎として、イエスの言葉を打ち込むことなのかもしれない。
鉄の杭でも、打ち込む場所が固ければ何度も何度も金づちで打ち込む。
イエスの言葉の杭も、一回だけではなく何度も何度も、私の心の基礎に打ち込むべきであろう。

（マタイによる福音 7:21-29）
7:21
わたしにむかって『主よ、主よ』と言う者が、みな天国にはいるのではなく、ただ、天にいますわが父の御旨を行う者だけが、はいるのである。
7:22
その日には、多くの者が、わたしにむかって『主よ、主よ、わたしたちはあなたの名によって預言したではありませんか。また、あなたの名によって悪霊を追い出し、あなたの名によって多くの力あるわざを行ったではありませんか』と言うであろう。
7:23
そのとき、わたしは彼らにはっきり、こう言おう、『あなたがたを全く知らない。不法を働く者どもよ、行ってしまえ』。
7:24
それで、わたしのこれらの言葉を聞いて行うものを、岩の上に自分の家を建てた賢い人に比べることができよう。
7:25
雨が降り、洪水が押し寄せ、風が吹いてその家に打ちつけても、倒れることはない。岩を土台としているからである。
7:26
また、わたしのこれらの言葉を聞いても行わない者を、砂の上に自分の家を建てた愚かな人に比べることができよう。
7:27
雨が降り、洪水が押し寄せ、風が吹いてその家に打ちつけると、倒れてしまう。そしてその倒れ方はひどいのである」。
7:28
イエスがこれらの言を語り終えられると、群衆はその教にひどく驚いた。
7:29
それは律法学者たちのようにではなく、権威ある者のように、教えられたからである。

エホヤキンは王となった時十八歳で、エルサレムで三か月の間、世を治めた。母はエルサレムのエルナタンの娘で、名をネホシタといった。
24:9
エホヤキンはすべてその父がおこなったように主の目の前に悪を行った。
24:10
そのころ、バビロンの王ネブカデネザルの家来たちはエルサレムに攻め上って、町を囲んだ。
24:11
その家来たちが町を囲んでいたとき、バビロンの王ネブカデネザルもまた町に攻めてきた。
24:12
ユダの王エホヤキンはその母、その家来、そのつかさたち、および侍従たちと共に出て、バビロンの王に降服したので、バビロンの王は彼を捕虜とした。これはネブカデネザルの治世の第八年であった。
24:13
彼はまた主の宮のもろもろの宝物および王の家の宝物をことごとく持ち出し、イスラエルの王ソロモンが造って主の神殿に置いたもろもろの金の器を切りこわした。主が言われたとおりである。
24:14
彼はまたエルサレムのすべての市民、およびすべてのつかさとすべての勇士、ならびにすべての木工と鍛冶一万人を捕えて行った。残った者は国の民の貧しい者のみであった。
24:15
さらに彼はエホヤキンをバビロンに捕えて行き、また王の母、王の妻たち、および侍従と国のうちのおもな人々をも、エルサレムからバビロンへ捕えて行った。
24:16
またバビロンの王はすべて勇敢な者七千人、木工と鍛冶一千人ならびに強くて良く戦う者をみな捕えてバビロンへ連れて行った。
24:17
そしてバビロンの王はエホヤキンの父の兄弟マッタニヤを王としてエホヤキンに代え、名をゼデキヤと改めた。

Gospel : Matthew 7:21-29
21 “Not everyone who says to me, ‘Lord, Lord,’ will enter into the Kingdom of Heaven, but he who does the will of my Father who is in heaven.
22 Many will tell me in that day, ‘Lord, Lord, didn’t we prophesy in your name, in your name cast out demons, and in your name do many mighty works?’
23 Then I will tell them, ‘I never knew you. Depart from me, you who work iniquity.’
24 “Everyone therefore who hears these words of mine and does them, I will liken him to a wise man who built his house on a rock.
25 The rain came down, the floods came, and the winds blew and beat on that house; and it didn’t fall, for it was founded on the rock.
26 Everyone who hears these words of mine and doesn’t do them will be like a foolish man who built his house on the sand.
27 The rain came down, the floods came, and the winds blew and beat on that house; and it fell?and its fall was great.”
28 When Jesus had finished saying these things, the multitudes were astonished at his teaching,
29 for he taught them with authority, and not like the scribes.

8 Jehoiachin was eighteen years old when he began to reign, and he reigned in Jerusalem three months. His mother’s name was Nehushta the daughter of Elnathan of Jerusalem.
9 He did that which was evil in Yahweh’s sight, according to all that his father had done.
10 At that time the servants of Nebuchadnezzar king of Babylon came up to Jerusalem, and the city was besieged.
11 Nebuchadnezzar king of Babylon came to the city while his servants were besieging it,
12 and Jehoiachin the king of Judah went out to the king of Babylon?he, his mother, his servants, his princes, and his officers; and the king of Babylon captured him in the eighth year of his reign.
13 He carried out from there all the treasures of Yahweh’s house and the treasures of the king’s house, and cut in pieces all the vessels of gold which Solomon king of Israel had made in Yahweh’s temple, as Yahweh had said.
14 He carried away all Jerusalem, and all the princes, and all the mighty men of valor, even ten thousand captives, and all the craftsmen and the smiths. No one remained except the poorest people of the land.
15 He carried away Jehoiachin to Babylon, with the king’s mother, the king’s wives, his officers, and the chief men of the land. He carried them into captivity from Jerusalem to Babylon.
16 All the men of might, even seven thousand, and the craftsmen and the smiths one thousand, all of them strong and fit for war, even them the king of Babylon brought captive to Babylon.
17 The king of Babylon made Mattaniah, Jehoiachin’s father’s brother, king in his place, and changed his name to Zedekiah.

＜今日の聖書物語 *＞
（マタイによる福音 7:15-20）
にせ預言者を警戒せよ。彼らは、羊の衣を着てあなたがたのところに来るが、その内側は強欲なおおかみである。
あなたがたは、その実によって彼らを見わけるであろう。茨からぶどうを、あざみからいちじくを集める者があろうか。
そのように、すべて良い木は良い実を結び、悪い木は悪い実を結ぶ。
良い木が悪い実をならせることはないし、悪い木が良い実をならせることはできない。
良い実を結ばない木はことごとく切られて、火の中に投げ込まれる。
このように、あなたがたはその実によって彼らを見わけるのである。

み言葉について
（マタイによる福音 7:15-20）
「言葉」であるイエスのお口から出る「偽預言者に警戒しなさい」という注意には強いひびきがあります。
「預言者」は自分の言葉を混ぜずに「預かった」「言葉」しか話さない「者」です。
そのために彼・彼女の言葉には力があり、実現に向かい、回心と救い、そしてそれに伴う「幸せ」をもたらすことばです。
神以外のところから、神以外の者から幸せが得られるという宣言をする者はみんな「偽預言者」です。
人の心に受け入れやすい形で「善」であるかのような「毒」を入れ込み、心からまことの神の声を聞かせる「良心」の敏感さを失わせます。
「幸せの基」に見える「麻薬・性の乱用・不正な富みの取得」などの魅力を起こす「神々の言葉」で人を迷わせる「偽預言者」は私たちの周りに溢れるほどいます。
最終的に人生の滅びと人の「不幸」しかもたらさない者です。
自分が味わっているその不幸を人にも味わわせるのです。
この偽預言者たちの「犠牲者」になっている人々、特に若者や青少年のために私たちは「預言者」としてまた「牧者」としての使命も頂いているのではないでしょうか。
願わくは、預かっている神の言葉を生かしながら良い実を結ぶ者でありたいものです。

そのために彼・彼女の言葉には力があり、実現に向かい、回心と救い、そしてそれに伴う「幸せ」をもたらすことばです。

15 “Beware of false prophets, who come to you in sheep’s clothing, but inwardly are ravening wolves.
16 By their fruits you will know them. Do you gather grapes from thorns or figs from thistles?
17 Even so, every good tree produces good fruit, but the corrupt tree produces evil fruit.
18 A good tree can’t produce evil fruit, neither can a corrupt tree produce good fruit.
19 Every tree that doesn’t grow good fruit is cut down and thrown into the fire.
20 Therefore by their fruits you will know them.

22:8 Hilkiah the high priest said to Shaphan the scribe, “I have found the book of the law in Yahweh’s house.” Hilkiah delivered the book to Shaphan, and he read it.
9 Shaphan the scribe came to the king, and brought the king word again, and said, “Your servants have emptied out the money that was found in the house, and have delivered it into the hands of the workmen who have the oversight of Yahweh’s house.”
10 Shaphan the scribe told the king, saying, “Hilkiah the priest has delivered a book to me.” Then Shaphan read it before the king.
11 When the king had heard the words of the book of the law, he tore his clothes.
12 The king commanded Hilkiah the priest, Ahikam the son of Shaphan, Achbor the son of Micaiah, Shaphan the scribe, and Asaiah the king’s servant, saying,
13 “Go inquire of Yahweh for me, and for the people, and for all Judah, concerning the words of this book that is found; for great is Yahweh’s wrath that is kindled against us, because our fathers have not listened to the words of this book, to do according to all that which is written concerning us.”
23:1 The king sent, and they gathered to him all the elders of Judah and of Jerusalem.
2 The king went up to Yahweh’s house, and all the men of Judah and all the inhabitants of Jerusalem with him--with the priests, the prophets, and all the people, both small and great; and he read in their hearing all the words of the book of the covenant which was found in Yahweh’s house.
3 The king stood by the pillar and made a covenant before Yahweh to walk after Yahweh and to keep his commandments, his testimonies, and his statutes with all his heart and all his soul, to confirm the words of this covenant that were written in this book; and all the people agreed to the covenant.

だから、何事でも人々からしてほしいと望むことは、人々にもそのとおりにせよ。これが律法であり預言者である。
狭い門からはいれ。滅びにいたる門は大きく、その道は広い。そして、そこからはいって行く者が多い。
命にいたる門は狭く、その道は細い。そして、それを見いだす者が少ない。

自分で自分をつねれば、痛いのが解ります。痛いのはもちろん嫌です。
ほかの人をつねれば、その人は痛いので嫌がります。
だから自分でも嫌なことは、人にもしてはいけないと教えてくれたのです。
今日読まれる福音書のイエス様のお言葉、「人から自分にしてもらいたいと望むことを、人にもしてあげなさい。」は、「人がいやがることはしない」ということよりずっと積極的な愛徳の業を勧めているのです。
私たちは今までになんども物をいただいたり、手を貸していただいたりして、嬉しかった経験があるでしょう。
ですから、これからもっと実行してみましょう。人も神様も喜ばれることを。

「ユダの王ヒゼキヤにこう言いなさい、『あなたは、エルサレムはアッスリヤの王の手に陥ることはない、と言うあなたの信頼する神に欺かれてはならない。

あなたはアッスリヤの王たちがもろもろの国々にした事、彼らを全く滅ぼした事を聞いている。どうしてあなたが救われることができようか。

ヒゼキヤは使者の手から手紙を受け取ってそれを読み、主の宮にのぼっていって、主の前にそれをひろげ、

あなたを侮り、あなたをあざける。

すなわち残る者がエルサレムから出てき、のがれた者がシオンの山から出て来るであろう。主の熱心がこれをされるであろう』。

それゆえ、主はアッスリヤの王について、こう仰せられる、『彼はこの町にこない、またここに矢を放たない、盾をもってその前に来ることなく、また塁を築いてこれを攻めることはない。

彼は来た道を帰って、この町に、はいることはない。主がこれを言う。

み言葉について
（マタイによる福音 7:6, 12-14）
私は小さい時に、よく母親から「わが身をつねって他人の痛さを知れ」という言葉を聞かされました。
自分で自分をつねれば、痛いのが解ります。痛いのはもちろん嫌です。
ほかの人をつねれば、その人は痛いので嫌がります。
だから自分でも嫌なことは、人にもしてはいけないと教えてくれたのです。
今日読まれる福音書のイエス様のお言葉、「人から自分にしてもらいたいと望むことを、人にもしてあげなさい。」は、「人がいやがることはしない」ということよりずっと積極的な愛徳の業を勧めているのです。
私たちは今までになんども物をいただいたり、手を貸していただいたりして、嬉しかった経験があるでしょう。
ですから、これからもっと実行してみましょう。人も神様も喜ばれることを。

12 Therefore, whatever you desire for men to do to you, you shall also do to them; for this is the law and the prophets.
13 “Enter in by the narrow gate; for the gate is wide and the way is broad that leads to destruction, and there are many who enter in by it.
14 How narrow is the gate and the way is restricted that leads to life! There are few who find it.

9b he sent messengers again to Hezekiah, saying,
10 “Tell Hezekiah king of Judah this: ‘Don’t let your God in whom you trust deceive you, saying, Jerusalem will not be given into the hand of the king of Assyria.
11 Behold, you have heard what the kings of Assyria have done to all lands, by destroying them utterly. Will you be delivered?
14 Hezekiah received the letter from the hand of the messengers and read it. Then Hezekiah went up to Yahweh’s house, and spread it before Yahweh.
15 Hezekiah prayed before Yahweh, and said, “Yahweh, the God of Israel, who are enthroned above the cherubim, you are the God, even you alone, of all the kingdoms of the earth. You have made heaven and earth.
16 Incline your ear, Yahweh, and hear. Open your eyes, Yahweh, and see. Hear the words of Sennacherib, which he has sent to defy the living God.
17 Truly, Yahweh, the kings of Assyria have laid waste the nations and their lands,
18 and have cast their gods into the fire; for they were no gods, but the work of men’s hands, wood and stone. Therefore they have destroyed them.
19 Now therefore, Yahweh our God, save us, I beg you, out of his hand, that all the kingdoms of the earth may know that you, Yahweh, are God alone.”
20 Then Isaiah the son of Amoz sent to Hezekiah, saying, “Yahweh, the God of Israel, says ‘You have prayed to me against Sennacherib king of Assyria, and I have heard you.
21 This is the word that Yahweh has spoken concerning him: ‘The virgin daughter of Zion has despised you and ridiculed you. The daughter of Jerusalem has shaken her head at you.
30 The remnant that has escaped of the house of Judah will again take root downward, and bear fruit upward.
31 For out of Jerusalem a remnant will go out, and out of Mount Zion those who shall escape. Yahweh’s zeal will perform this.
32 “Therefore Yahweh says concerning the king of Assyria, ‘He will not come to this city, nor shoot an arrow there. He will not come before it with shield, nor cast up a mound against it.
33 He will return the same way that he came, and he will not come to this city,’ says Yahweh.
34 ‘For I will defend this city to save it, for my own sake and for my servant David’s sake.’ ”
35a That night, Yahweh’s angel went out and struck one hundred eighty-five thousand in the camp of the Assyrians.
36 So Sennacherib king of Assyria departed, went home, and lived at Nineveh.

さてエリサベツは月が満ちて、男の子を産んだ。
近所の人々や親族は、主が大きなあわれみを彼女におかけになったことを聞いて、共どもに喜んだ。
八日目になったので、幼な子に割礼をするために人々がきて、父の名にちなんでザカリヤという名にしようとした。
ところが、母親は、「いいえ、ヨハネという名にしなくてはいけません」と言った。
人々は、「あなたの親族の中には、そういう名のついた者は、ひとりもいません」と彼女に言った。
そして父親に、どんな名にしたいのですかと、合図で尋ねた。
ザカリヤは書板を持ってこさせて、それに「その名はヨハネ」と書いたので、みんなの者は不思議に思った。
すると、立ちどころにザカリヤの口が開けて舌がゆるみ、語り出して神をほめたたえた。
近所の人々はみな恐れをいだき、またユダヤの山里の至るところに、これらの事がことごとく語り伝えられたので、
聞く者たちは皆それを心に留めて、「この子は、いったい、どんな者になるだろう」と語り合った。主のみ手が彼と共にあった。
幼な子は成長し、その霊も強くなり、そしてイスラエルに現れる日まで、荒野にいた。

洗礼者ヨハネは先駆者ヨハネとも呼ばれ、イエスを先駆ける者としての存在は有名です。
そんな彼は、自分のことを「その方（イエス）はわたしの後から来られるが、わたしはその足の履物をお脱がせする値打ちもない」と述べたことはよく知られており、第二朗読でも引用されています。
このような洗礼者ヨハネの誕生の次第が福音では述べられますが、名前をつける段階になって親戚間で問題が生じたことがわかります。
イスラエルでは親類から名前をもらうのが通例のようですが、ヨハネの場合は神からのお告げにより、またザカリアの受けた奇跡から名前が決まっていきます。
この場面においても神の力が目一杯に働いていることが明らかです。
一つの出来事を通して神が働きかけられることはたくさんあります。
わたしたちの日常においてはこのような劇的な出来事はほとんどありませんが、ヨハネの謙遜さを学び、また神様の望みを探りながらそれを受け入れることができるように祈りもとめたいものです。

海沿いの国々よ、わたしに聞け。
遠いところのもろもろの民よ、耳を傾けよ。
主はわたしを生れ出た時から召し、
母の胎を出た時からわが名を語り告げられた。

主はわが口を鋭利なつるぎとなし、
わたしをみ手の陰にかくし、
とぎすました矢となして、
箙にわたしを隠された。

また、わたしに言われた、
「あなたはわがしもべ、
わが栄光をあらわすべきイスラエルである」と。

「わたしはいたずらに働き、

海沿いの国々よ、わたしに聞け。
遠いところのもろもろの民よ、耳を傾けよ。
主はわたしを生れ出た時から召し、
母の胎を出た時からわが名を語り告げられた。
49:2
主はわが口を鋭利なつるぎとなし、
わたしをみ手の陰にかくし、
とぎすました矢となして、
箙にわたしを隠された。
49:3
また、わたしに言われた、
「あなたはわがしもべ、
わが栄光をあらわすべきイスラエルである」と。
49:4
しかし、わたしは言った、
「わたしはいたずらに働き、
益なく、むなしく力を費した。
しかもなお、まことにわが正しきは主と共にあり、
わが報いはわが神と共にある」と。

ヤコブをおのれに帰らせ、
イスラエルをおのれのもとに集めるために、
わたしを腹の中からつくって
そのしもべとされた主は言われる。

主は言われる、
「あなたがわがしもべとなって、
ヤコブのもろもろの部族をおこし、

Gospel : Luke 1:57-66, 80
57 Now the time that Elizabeth should give birth was fulfilled, and she gave birth to a son.
58 Her neighbors and her relatives heard that the Lord had magnified his mercy toward her, and they rejoiced with her.
59 On the eighth day, they came to circumcise the child; and they would have called him Zacharias, after the name of his father.
60 His mother answered, “Not so; but he will be called John.”
61 They said to her, “There is no one among your relatives who is called by this name.”
62 They made signs to his father, what he would have him called.
63 He asked for a writing tablet, and wrote, “His name is John.”
They all marveled.
64 His mouth was opened immediately and his tongue freed, and he spoke, blessing God.
65 Fear came on all who lived around them, and all these sayings were talked about throughout all the hill country of Judea.
66 All who heard them laid them up in their heart, saying, “What then will this child be?” The hand of the Lord was with him.
80 The child was growing and becoming strong in spirit, and was in the desert until the day of his public appearance to Israel.

3 He said to me, “You are my servant,
Israel, in whom I will be glorified.”
4 But I said, “I have labored in vain.
I have spent my strength in vain for nothing;
yet surely the justice due to me is with Yahweh,
and my reward with my God.”
5 Now Yahweh, he who formed me from the womb to be his servant,
says to bring Jacob again to him,
and to gather Israel to him,
for I am honorable in Yahweh’s eyes,
and my God has become my strength.
6 Indeed, he says, “It is too light a thing that you should be my servant to raise up the tribes of Jacob,
and to restore the preserved of Israel.
I will also give you as a light to the nations,
that you may be my salvation to the end of the earth.”

22 When he had removed him, he raised up David to be their king, to whom he also testified, ‘I have found David the son of Jesse, a man after my heart, who will do all my will.’
23 From this man’s offspring, God has brought salvation to Israel according to his promise,

25 As John was fulfilling his course, he said, ‘What do you suppose that I am? I am not he. But behold, one comes after me, the sandals of whose feet I am not worthy to untie.’
26 “Brothers, children of the stock of Abraham, and those among you who fear God, the word of this salvation is sent out to you.

さてその日、夕方になると、イエスは弟子たちに、「向こう岸へ渡ろう」と言われた。
そこで、彼らは群衆をあとに残し、イエスが舟に乗っておられるまま、乗り出した。ほかの舟も一緒に行った。
すると、激しい突風が起り、波が舟の中に打ち込んできて、舟に満ちそうになった。
ところがイエス自身は、舳の方でまくらをして、眠っておられた。そこで、弟子たちはイエスをおこして、「先生、わたしどもがおぼれ死んでも、おかまいにならないのですか」と言った。
イエスは起きあがって風をしかり、海にむかって、「静まれ、黙れ」と言われると、風はやんで、大なぎになった。
イエスは彼らに言われた、「なぜ、そんなにこわがるのか。どうして信仰がないのか」。
彼らは恐れおののいて、互に言った、「いったい、この方はだれだろう。風も海も従わせるとは」。

35 On that day, when evening had come, he said to them, “Let’s go over to the other side.”
36 Leaving the multitude, they took him with them, even as he was, in the boat. Other small boats were also with him.
37 A big wind storm arose, and the waves beat into the boat, so much that the boat was already filled.
38 He himself was in the stern, asleep on the cushion; and they woke him up and asked him, “Teacher, don’t you care that we are dying?”
39 He awoke and rebuked the wind, and said to the sea, “Peace! Be still!” The wind ceased and there was a great calm. 40 He said to them, “Why are you so afraid? How is it that you have no faith?”
41 They were greatly afraid and said to one another, “Who then is this, that even the wind and the sea obey him?”

1 Then Yahweh answered Job out of the whirlwind,
8 “Or who shut up the sea with doors,
when it broke out of the womb,
9 when I made clouds its garment,
and wrapped it in thick darkness,
10 marked out for it my bound,

Your proud waves shall be stopped here’?

（マタイによる福音 6:24-34）
だれも、ふたりの主人に兼ね仕えることはできない。一方を憎んで他方を愛し、あるいは、一方に親しんで他方をうとんじるからである。あなたがたは、神と富とに兼ね仕えることはできない。
それだから、あなたがたに言っておく。何を食べようか、何を飲もうかと、自分の命のことで思いわずらい、何を着ようかと自分のからだのことで思いわずらうな。命は食物にまさり、からだは着物にまさるではないか。
空の鳥を見るがよい。まくことも、刈ることもせず、倉に取りいれることもしない。それだのに、あなたがたの天の父は彼らを養っていて下さる。あなたがたは彼らよりも、はるかにすぐれた者ではないか。
あなたがたのうち、だれが思いわずらったからとて、自分の寿命をわずかでも延ばすことができようか。
また、なぜ、着物のことで思いわずらうのか。野の花がどうして育っているか、考えて見るがよい。働きもせず、紡ぎもしない。
しかし、あなたがたに言うが、栄華をきわめた時のソロモンでさえ、この花の一つほどにも着飾ってはいなかった。
きょうは生えていて、あすは炉に投げ入れられる野の草でさえ、神はこのように装って下さるのなら、あなたがたに、それ以上よくしてくださらないはずがあろうか。ああ、信仰の薄い者たちよ。
だから、何を食べようか、何を飲もうか、あるいは何を着ようかと言って思いわずらうな。
これらのものはみな、異邦人が切に求めているものである。あなたがたの天の父は、これらのものが、ことごとくあなたがたに必要であることをご存じである。
まず神の国と神の義とを求めなさい。そうすれば、これらのものは、すべて添えて与えられるであろう。
だから、あすのことを思いわずらうな。あすのことは、あす自身が思いわずらうであろう。一日の苦労は、その日一日だけで十分である。

み言葉について
（マタイによる福音 6:24-34）
「空を見ろ！」「鳥だ！」「飛行機だ！」「いや、スーパーマンだ!!」という件は、ＳＦ少年に限らずともご存知の方が多いと思います。
しかし、映画版スーパーマンのサウンド･トラックの中に、「私は鳥よりも優れたものである」と歌っている曲があることはあまり知られていません。
これは、スーパーマンが「自分は優れている」ということを歌った歌ではありません。
むしろ、実際には確実に弱さを身に帯びた者であるにも拘わらず、常に強さを求められることを憂い悲しむ歌です。
「鳥よりも･･･」というフレーズで聖句を連想させ、ヒーロー達でも「人間に過ぎない」ということを示そうとしているのでしょう。
初めてこの曲を耳にしたとき、とても深く感じ入ったのを覚えています。

エホヤダの死んだ後、ユダのつかさたちが来て、うやうやしく王に敬意を表した。王は彼らに聞き従った。
24:18
彼らはその先祖の神、主の宮を捨てて、アシラ像および偶像に仕えたので、そのとがのために、怒りがユダとエルサレムに臨んだ。

主は彼らをご自分に引き返そうとして、預言者たちをつかわし、彼らにむかってあかしをさせられたが、耳を傾けなかった。

そこで神の霊が祭司エホヤダの子ゼカリヤに臨んだので、彼は民の前に立ち上がって言った、「神はこう仰せられる、『あなたがたが主の戒めを犯して、災を招くのはどういうわけであるか。あなたがたが主を捨てたために、主もあなたがたを捨てられたのである』」。

Gospel : Matthew 6:24-34
24 “No one can serve two masters, for either he will hate the one and love the other, or else he will be devoted to one and despise the other. You can’t serve both God and Mammon.
25 Therefore I tell you, don’t be anxious for your life: what you will eat, or what you will drink; nor yet for your body, what you will wear. Isn’t life more than food, and the body more than clothing?
26 See the birds of the sky, that they don’t sow, neither do they reap, nor gather into barns. Your heavenly Father feeds them. Aren’t you of much more value than they?
27 “Which of you by being anxious, can add one moment to his lifespan?
28 Why are you anxious about clothing? Consider the lilies of the field, how they grow. They don’t toil, neither do they spin,
29 yet I tell you that even Solomon in all his glory was not dressed like one of these.
30 But if God so clothes the grass of the field, which today exists and tomorrow is thrown into the oven, won’t he much more clothe you, you of little faith?
31 “Therefore don’t be anxious, saying, ‘What will we eat?’, ‘What will we drink?’ or, ‘With what will we be clothed?’
32 For the Gentiles seek after all these things; for your heavenly Father knows that you need all these things.
33 But seek first God’s Kingdom and his righteousness; and all these things will be given to you as well.
34 Therefore don’t be anxious for tomorrow, for tomorrow will be anxious for itself. Each day’s own evil is sufficient.

17 Now after the death of Jehoiada, the princes of Judah came and bowed down to the king. Then the king listened to them.
18 They abandoned the house of Yahweh, the God of their fathers, and served the Asherah poles and the idols, so wrath came on Judah and Jerusalem for this their guiltiness.
19 Yet he sent prophets to them to bring them again to Yahweh, and they testified against them; but they would not listen.
20 The Spirit of God came on Zechariah the son of Jehoiada the priest; and he stood above the people, and said to them, “God says, ‘Why do you disobey Yahweh’s commandments, so that you can’t prosper? Because you have forsaken Yahweh, he has also forsaken you.’ ”
21 They conspired against him, and stoned him with stones at the commandment of the king in the court of Yahweh’s house.
22 Thus Joash the king didn’t remember the kindness which Jehoiada his father had done to him, but killed his son. When he died, he said, “May Yahweh look at it, and repay it.”
23 At the end of the year, the army of the Syrians came up against him. They came to Judah and Jerusalem, and destroyed all the princes of the people from among the people, and sent all their plunder to the king of Damascus.
24 For the army of the Syrians came with a small company of men; and Yahweh delivered a very great army into their hand, because they had forsaken Yahweh, the God of their fathers. So they executed judgment on Joash.
25 When they had departed from him (for they left him seriously wounded), his own servants conspired against him for the blood of the sons of Jehoiada the priest, and killed him on his bed, and he died. They buried him in David’s city, but they didn’t bury him in the tombs of the kings.

今から14年前、私が生まれて初めて海外に行った国がフィリピンでした。
それまでフィリピンと言うと「常夏の貧しい国」ぐらいの漠然としたイメージしか持っていませんでした。
しかし、マニラのいわゆるスラムで暮らす子どもたちに出会った時に彼らは経済的には貧しいかもしれないが、その生き生きとした目を見て「心が貧しい」のは逆に経済大国でお金に囚われている多くの日本人かもしれないと実感したことを覚えています。
今日の福音の中でイエスはこう言われます。
「体のともし火は目である。目が澄んでいればあなたの全身は明るい。」
さて、私たちの目はどうでしょうか？
果たして澄んでいるでしょうか？
目が澄んでいるために必要なことは何でしょうか？
「あなたの富のあるところに、あなたの心もある。」
私たちの富、つまり私たちが一番大切にしているものは一体なんでしょうか？
自分の心に正直に問いかけてみてください。
私は何を中心にして毎日を送っているのでしょうか？
今日一日そのことを思い巡らしながら過ごしてみてはどうでしょうか？

さてアハジヤの母アタリヤはその子の死んだのを見て、立って王の一族をことごとく滅ぼしたが、
11:2
ヨラム王の娘で、アハジヤの姉妹であるエホシバはアハジヤの子ヨアシを、殺されようとしている王の子たちのうちから盗み取り、彼とそのうばとを寝室に入れて、アタリヤに隠したので、彼はついに殺されなかった。
11:3
ヨアシはうばと共に六年の間、主の宮に隠れていたが、その間アタリヤが国を治めた。
11:4
第七年になってエホヤダは人をつかわして、カリびとと近衛兵との大将たちを招きよせ、主の宮にいる自分のもとにこさせ、彼らと契約を結び、主の宮で彼らに誓いをさせて王の子を見せ、

そこでその大将たちは祭司エホヤダがすべて命じたとおりにおこなった。すなわち彼らはおのおの安息日に非番となる者と、安息日に当番となる者とを率いて祭司エホヤダのもとにきたので、

見ると、王は慣例にしたがって柱のかたわらに立ち、王のかたわらには大将たちとラッパ手たちが立ち、また国の民は皆喜んでラッパを吹いていたので、アタリヤはその衣を裂いて、「反逆です、反逆です」と叫んだ。

その時祭司エホヤダは軍勢を指揮していた大将たちに命じて、「彼女を列の間をとおって出て行かせ、彼女に従う者をつるぎをもって殺しなさい」と言った。これは祭司がさきに「彼女を主の宮で殺してはならない」と言ったからである。
11:16
そこで彼らは彼女を捕え、王の家の馬道へ連れて行ったが、彼女はついにそこで殺された。
11:17
かくてエホヤダは主と王および民との間に、皆主の民となるという契約を立てさせ、また王と民との間にもそれを立てさせた。
11:18
そこで国の民は皆バアルの宮に行って、これをこわし、その祭壇とその像を打ち砕き、バアルの祭司マッタンをその祭壇の前で殺した。そして祭司は主の宮に管理人を置いた。
11:20
こうして国の民は皆喜び、町はアタリヤが王の家でつるぎをもって殺されてのち、おだやかになった。

20 but lay up for yourselves treasures in heaven, where neither moth nor rust consume, and where thieves don’t break through and steal;
21 for where your treasure is, there your heart will be also.
22 “The lamp of the body is the eye. If therefore your eye is sound, your whole body will be full of light.
23 But if your eye is evil, your whole body will be full of darkness. If therefore the light that is in you is darkness, how great is the darkness!

2 Kings 11:1-4, 9-18, 20
1 Now when Athaliah the mother of Ahaziah saw that her son was dead, she arose and destroyed all the royal offspring.
2 But Jehosheba, the daughter of King Joram, sister of Ahaziah, took Joash the son of Ahaziah, and stole him away from among the king’s sons who were slain, even him and his nurse, and put them in the bedroom; and they hid him from Athaliah, so that he was not slain.
3 He was with her hidden in Yahweh’s house six years while Athaliah reigned over the land.
4 In the seventh year Jehoiada sent and fetched the captains over hundreds of the Carites and of the guard, and brought them to him into Yahweh’s house; and he made a covenant with them, and made a covenant with them in Yahweh’s house, and showed them the king’s son.
9 The captains over hundreds did according to all that Jehoiada the priest commanded; and they each took his men, those who were to come in on the Sabbath with those who were to go out on the Sabbath, and came to Jehoiada the priest.
10 The priest delivered to the captains over hundreds the spears and shields that had been King David’s, which were in Yahweh’s house.
11 The guard stood, every man with his weapons in his hand, from the right side of the house to the left side of the house, along by the altar and the house, around the king.
12 Then he brought out the king’s son, and put the crown on him, and gave him the covenant; and they made him king and anointed him; and they clapped their hands, and said, “Long live the king!”
13 When Athaliah heard the noise of the guard and of the people, she came to the people into Yahweh’s house;
14 and she looked, and behold, the king stood by the pillar, as the tradition was, with the captains and the trumpets by the king; and all the people of the land rejoiced, and blew trumpets. Then Athaliah tore her clothes and cried, “Treason! Treason!”
15 Jehoiada the priest commanded the captains of hundreds who were set over the army, and said to them, “Bring her out between the ranks. Kill anyone who follows her with the sword.” For the priest said, “Don’t let her be slain in Yahweh’s house.”
16 So they seized her; and she went by the way of the horses’ entry to the king’s house, and she was slain there.
17 Jehoiada made a covenant between Yahweh and the king and the people, that they should be Yahweh’s people; also between the king and the people.
18 All the people of the land went to the house of Baal, and broke it down. They broke his altars and his images in pieces thoroughly, and killed Mattan the priest of Baal before the altars. The priest appointed officers over Yahweh’s house.
20 So all the people of the land rejoiced, and the city was quiet. They had slain Athaliah with the sword at the king’s house.

また、祈る場合、異邦人のように、くどくどと祈るな。彼らは言葉かずが多ければ、聞きいれられるものと思っている。
だから、彼らのまねをするな。あなたがたの父なる神は、求めない先から、あなたがたに必要なものはご存じなのである。
だから、あなたがたはこう祈りなさい、
天にいますわれらの父よ、
御名があがめられますように。
御国がきますように。
みこころが天に行われるとおり、
地にも行われますように。
わたしたちの日ごとの食物を、
きょうもお与えください。
わたしたちに負債のある者をゆるしましたように、
わたしたちの負債をもおゆるしください。
わたしたちを試みに会わせないで、
悪しき者からお救いください。
もしも、あなたがたが、人々のあやまちをゆるすならば、あなたがたの天の父も、あなたがたをゆるして下さるであろう。

弟子達に「祈り」をせがまれたイエス様が教えてくださった「祈り」です。
後半部分で「わたし達の負い目をお赦しください。」と願いますが、イエス様はそれに条件をつけられます。
「わたし達に負い目のある人をすでに赦してしまったので」と。
福音書の他の箇所で、イエス様はたとえ話で「赦す」とはどんなことかを教えてくださいます。
マタイ１８章２１節以下に、「一万タラントンの借金のある家来が借金を赦してもらう。
その家来が自分に１００デナリオンの借金のある人に出会い、赦さなかった。そのことが主人に告げられ、その家来は赦してもらえなくなった。」とあります。
そして、３５節で「あなたがた一人ひとりが、心から兄弟を赦さないなら、わたしの天の父もあなたがたに同じようになさるであろう。」と述べられます。
マタイ５章２３節〜２４節では「あなたが祭壇に供え物を献げようとし、兄弟が自分に反感を持っているのをそこで思い出したなら、その供え物を祭壇の前に置き、まず行って兄弟と仲直りをし、それから帰って来て、供え物を献げなさい。」と言われています。
わたし達は、「主の祈り」を唱えるたびに、「赦し」について心に留め、思い巡らすことが求めれています。
