＜今日の聖書物語 *＞
（マルコによる福音 8:22-26）
そのうちに、彼らはベツサイダに着いた。すると人々が、ひとりの盲人を連れてきて、さわってやっていただきたいとお願いした。
イエスはこの盲人の手をとって、村の外に連れ出し、その両方の目につばきをつけ、両手を彼に当てて、「何か見えるか」と尋ねられた。
すると彼は顔を上げて言った、「人が見えます。木のように見えます。歩いているようです」。
それから、イエスが再び目の上に両手を当てられると、盲人は見つめているうちに、なおってきて、すべてのものがはっきりと見えだした。
そこでイエスは、「村にはいってはいけない」と言って、彼を家に帰された。

み言葉について
（マルコによる福音 8:22-26）
舞台となっている村はベトサイダです。マタイによる福音書の中ではイエスが、コラジンと並び称して「不幸だ」と言って叱り付けている町。
奇跡が行われたのに悔い改めなかったためです。
では、奇跡というものは何のために行われるのか。
一つには、人を回心へと導くためのもの、と言うことができます。
ですから、見ても信じない人に対して奇跡は行われません。
一方、トマスのように「見るまでは信じない、即ち見れば信じる」という人のためにイエスは、惜しみなく、徹底的に見せてくださいます。
盲人は、はっきりと見えるようになった目でイエスを見つめました。
きっとイエスが何者であるかを見てしまったことでしょう。
悔い改めない町に戻って行って、再び目が曇ってしまうことを嫌ったのか。
「見ても信じない」と言う罪を重ねないようにとの配慮からか。
あるいは、耳が聞こえず舌の回らない人を癒したとき(マルコ7:31-37)とおなじ理由なのか。
いずれにしても、今日の私たちに求められる姿勢はひとつです。
善意の村人たちの願いを思い起こしましょう。
もちろん盲人の目が開くことを期待していたでしょうが、何よりもイエスに「触れていただきたい」と願っています。
それは、この人に触れさえすれば--という あの女性の信仰と一緒です。
既に信じているのです。

奇跡が行われたのに悔い改めなかったためです。
では、奇跡というものは何のために行われるのか。
一つには、人を回心へと導くためのもの、と言うことができます。
ですから、見ても信じない人に対して奇跡は行われません。
一方、トマスのように「見るまでは信じない、即ち見れば信じる」という人のためにイエスは、惜しみなく、徹底的に見せてくださいます。
盲人は、はっきりと見えるようになった目でイエスを見つめました。
きっとイエスが何者であるかを見てしまったことでしょう。
悔い改めない町に戻って行って、再び目が曇ってしまうことを嫌ったのか。
「見ても信じない」と言う罪を重ねないようにとの配慮からか。
あるいは、耳が聞こえず舌の回らない人を癒したとき(マルコ7:31-37)とおなじ理由なのか。
いずれにしても、今日の私たちに求められる姿勢はひとつです。
善意の村人たちの願いを思い起こしましょう。

四十日たって、ノアはその造った箱舟の窓を開いて、

からすを放ったところ、からすは地の上から水がかわききるまで、あちらこちらへ飛びまわった。
8:8
ノアはまた地のおもてから、水がひいたかどうかを見ようと、彼の所から、はとを放ったが、
8:9
はとは足の裏をとどめる所が見つからなかったので、箱舟のノアのもとに帰ってきた。水がまだ全地のおもてにあったからである。彼は手を伸べて、これを捕え、箱舟の中の彼のもとに引き入れた。
8:10
それから七日待って再びはとを箱舟から放った。
8:11
はとは夕方になって彼のもとに帰ってきた。見ると、そのくちばしには、オリブの若葉があった。ノアは地から水がひいたのを知った。
8:12
さらに七日待ってまた、はとを放ったところ、もはや彼のもとには帰ってこなかった。
8:13
六百一歳の一月一日になって、地の上の水はかれた。ノアが箱舟のおおいを取り除いて見ると、土のおもては、かわいていた。

ノアは主に祭壇を築いて、すべての清い獣と、すべての清い鳥とのうちから取って、燔祭を祭壇の上にささげた。

主はその香ばしいかおりをかいで、心に言われた、「わたしはもはや二度と人のゆえに地をのろわない。人が心に思い図ることは、幼い時から悪いからである。わたしは、このたびしたように、もう二度と、すべての生きたものを滅ぼさない。

Gospel : Mark 8:22-26
22 He came to Bethsaida. They brought a blind man to him and begged him to touch him.
23 He took hold of the blind man by the hand, and brought him out of the village. When he had spat on his eyes, and laid his hands on him, he asked him if he saw anything.
24 He looked up, and said, “I see men, but I see them like walking trees.”
25 Then again he laid his hands on his eyes. He looked intently, and was restored, and saw everyone clearly.
26 He sent him away to his house, saying, “Don’t enter into the village, nor tell anyone in the village.”

Genesis 8:6-13, 20-22
6 At the end of forty days, Noah opened the window of the ship which he had made,
7 and he sent out a raven. It went back and forth, until the waters were dried up from the earth.
8 He himself sent out a dove to see if the waters were abated from the surface of the ground,
9 but the dove found no place to rest her foot, and she returned into the ship to him, for the waters were on the surface of the whole earth. He put out his hand, and took her, and brought her to him into the ship.
10 He waited yet another seven days; and again he sent the dove out of the ship.
11 The dove came back to him at evening and, behold, in her mouth was a freshly plucked olive leaf. So Noah knew that the waters were abated from the earth.
12 He waited yet another seven days, and sent out the dove; and she didn’t return to him any more.
13 In the six hundred first year, in the first month, the first day of the month, the waters were dried up from the earth. Noah removed the covering of the ship, and looked. He saw that the surface of the ground was dry.
20 Noah built an altar to Yahweh, and took of every clean animal, and of every clean bird, and offered burnt offerings on the altar.
21 Yahweh smelled the pleasant aroma. Yahweh said in his heart, “I will not again curse the ground any more for man’s sake because the imagination of man’s heart is evil from his youth. I will never again strike every living thing, as I have done.
22 While the earth remains, seed time and harvest, and cold and heat, and summer and winter, and day and night will not cease.”
