（マルコによる福音 8:27-33）
さて、イエスは弟子たちとピリポ・カイザリヤの村々へ出かけられたが、その途中で、弟子たちに尋ねて言われた、「人々は、わたしをだれと言っているか」。
彼らは答えて言った、「バプテスマのヨハネだと、言っています。また、エリヤだと言い、また、預言者のひとりだと言っている者もあります」。
そこでイエスは彼らに尋ねられた、「それでは、あなたがたはわたしをだれと言うか」。ペテロが答えて言った、「あなたこそキリストです」。
するとイエスは、自分のことをだれにも言ってはいけないと、彼らを戒められた。
それから、人の子は必ず多くの苦しみを受け、長老、祭司長、律法学者たちに捨てられ、また殺され、そして三日の後によみがえるべきことを、彼らに教えはじめ、
しかもあからさまに、この事を話された。すると、ペテロはイエスをわきへ引き寄せて、いさめはじめたので、
イエスは振り返って、弟子たちを見ながら、ペテロをしかって言われた、「サタンよ、引きさがれ。あなたは神のことを思わないで、人のことを思っている」。

今日の福音はマルコの真ん中に当たります。
ナザレのイエスが誰であるのかという中心テーマの第一の答えが、今日の「メシアです。
メシアはイスラエルが待ち望んでいた救い主です。
そして十字架において、この問いはイスラエルを越えていきます。異邦人であるローマの百人隊長によって「神の子」と告白されます。
イエスが真に誰であるのかは、十字架で明らかにされるので、ペトロの言動がイエスに厳しく叱責されても、まだ分からないのである意味で仕方がありません。
しかし十字架のイエスを見ても、果たして私たちはイエスが本当に誰であるのか悟れるでしょうか。
これもまた、難しい問いです。
ではどうやって？
私たちにできることから考えるならば、自分の十字架をしっかり担って、もう一度イエスの十字架を見つめ直すことからでしょうか。
やってみないことにはわかりません。
できることから始めたいものです。

9:1
神はノアとその子らとを祝福して彼らに言われた、「生めよ、ふえよ、地に満ちよ。
9:2
地のすべての獣、空のすべての鳥、地に這うすべてのもの、海のすべての魚は恐れおののいて、あなたがたの支配に服し、
9:3
すべて生きて動くものはあなたがたの食物となるであろう。さきに青草をあなたがたに与えたように、わたしはこれらのものを皆あなたがたに与える。
9:4
しかし肉を、その命である血のままで、食べてはならない。
9:5
あなたがたの命の血を流すものには、わたしは必ず報復するであろう。いかなる獣にも報復する。兄弟である人にも、わたしは人の命のために、報復するであろう。

人の血を流すものは、人に血を流される、
神が自分のかたちに人を造られたゆえに。
9:7
あなたがたは、生めよ、ふえよ、
地に群がり、地の上にふえよ」。

神はノアおよび共にいる子らに言われた、
9:9
「わたしはあなたがた及びあなたがたの後の子孫と契約を立てる。
9:10
またあなたがたと共にいるすべての生き物、あなたがたと共にいる鳥、家畜、地のすべての獣、すなわち、すべて箱舟から出たものは、地のすべての獣にいたるまで、わたしはそれと契約を立てよう。
9:11
わたしがあなたがたと立てるこの契約により、すべて肉なる者は、もはや洪水によって滅ぼされることはなく、また地を滅ぼす洪水は、再び起らないであろう」。
9:12
さらに神は言われた、「これはわたしと、あなたがた及びあなたがたと共にいるすべての生き物との間に代々かぎりなく、わたしが立てる契約のしるしである。
9:13
すなわち、わたしは雲の中に、にじを置く。これがわたしと地との間の契約のしるしとなる。

Gospel : Mark 8:27-33
27 Jesus went out, with his disciples, into the villages of Caesarea Philippi. On the way he asked his disciples, “Who do men say that I am?”
28 They told him, “John the Baptizer, and others say Elijah, but others, one of the prophets.”
29 He said to them, “But who do you say that I am?”
Peter answered, “You are the Christ.”
30 He commanded them that they should tell no one about him.
31 He began to teach them that the Son of Man must suffer many things, and be rejected by the elders, the chief priests, and the scribes, and be killed, and after three days rise again.
32 He spoke to them openly. Peter took him and began to rebuke him.
33 But he, turning around and seeing his disciples, rebuked Peter, and said, “Get behind me, Satan! For you have in mind not the things of God, but the things of men.”

Genesis 9:1-13
1 God blessed Noah and his sons, and said to them, “Be fruitful, multiply, and replenish the earth.
2 The fear of you and the dread of you will be on every animal of the earth, and on every bird of the sky. Everything that moves along the ground, and all the fish of the sea, are delivered into your hand.
3 Every moving thing that lives will be food for you. As I gave you the green herb, I have given everything to you.
4 But flesh with its life, that is, its blood, you shall not eat.
5 I will surely require accounting for your life’s blood. At the hand of every animal I will require it. At the hand of man, even at the hand of every man’s brother, I will require the life of man.
6 Whoever sheds man’s blood, his blood will be shed by man, for God made man in his own image.
7 Be fruitful and multiply. Increase abundantly in the earth, and multiply in it.”
8 God spoke to Noah and to his sons with him, saying,
9 “As for me, behold, I establish my covenant with you, and with your offspring after you,
10 and with every living creature that is with you: the birds, the livestock, and every animal of the earth with you, of all that go out of the ship, even every animal of the earth.
11 I will establish my covenant with you: All flesh will not be cut off any more by the waters of the flood. There will never again be a flood to destroy the earth.”
12 God said, “This is the token of the covenant which I make between me and you and every living creature that is with you, for perpetual generations:
13 I set my rainbow in the cloud, and it will be a sign of a covenant between me and the earth.
